Best BBQ in Town. Lovely Food Especially Steaks, That was Fantastic and I would really Recommend this place to all my friends.

Terrible service. Waited 30 mins. She comes over and tells us that she just put the order in. She didn't care. Did not even apologize. 6 tables got their appetizers and food before us. Got there after us.

It should be one of Austin's best bbq tents, but unfortunately. The service is short and unfriendly and the ribs were very tasty, but the pulled pork really dry. Also, the air conditioning here on stand freezers so take a sweater also when it's hot outside!

Service wasn't good and the food wasn't all that good either.

Terrible experience.jumped through hoops all week to secure a reservation for 10:30 am mar 3.Drove in early to be sure and be there right on time.we were first in line waiting 45 minutes outside very cold conditions watching all the homeless people shuffling around Red River.Finally the door opens and shown to our table in a room with a birthday party of 30 people at least 10 kids.Kids all at one table screaming.parents ignoring them.we took one look and said no.asked can we have any other table due to the noise.told nope all full.we left to eat food and hear music elsewhere where we might actually get to hear it. I understand being full but who puts a couple in a room with a huge child's birthday party.that table should have been filled by other families w children.

I had seen the Stubbs BBQ sauce in grocery stores at my home in NC but didn't realize that it was a resturant until a recent trip to Austin. I had the duo of meat with Chicken and beef brisket. OMG it was absolutely to die for. I also had onion rings and fried okra at the waitresses' suggestion. Everything was delicious and there was simply no way I could eat it all! Looking forward to my next trip to Austin and Stubbs!

We (the teamates of Marvelous Events) facilitated an event here at Stubb's, and it was so fun ! I've been here for concerts, outside and inside, and it always feels so intimate. Even with a big crowd the space is great! Barbeque is DELICIOUS and staff are fun!

Security check for concert moved quickly. Drinks were well made. Good sound system. Only negatives...parking by Stubb's is $$. Yard is fairly flat, so if you don't want view blocked, show up early.

We arrived in Austin and went running to Stubb's for some of their highly aclaimed BBQ and live music. Getting there at 10 pm, we figured the party would just be getting started, however it was just about to shut down. We tried ordering about 5 things off the menu and kept getting told they had stopped making it before just asking what was still available. We went with some sandwiches then. Maybe it was because they were just sitting out, but it was absolutely nothing special. We had much better BBQ several other places in Austin. Service was also very testy and unfriendly. It might be worth a try earlier in the night, but with the experiences we had elsewhere, I'd skip it.

Austin has a lot of really good barbecue and Stubbs barbecue is definitely in the top 10.

Great service. Great atmosphere.. But food left more to be desired. Brisket was dry, ribs were dry. cornbread ..dry.
Mac and cheese was actually cold..as server recommended, the Pinto beans were fantastic.

Great shows. Sound and lighting are always great. Last two times I was there was with a physical disability and they were very accommodating.

The food was good; the macaroni and cheese tasted pretty good. The portions were a good size, but the collard greens could use just a little more seasoning. Other than that, the meal was enjoyable.

One of the last few "classic venues" left in town. A great place to watch a show!

Cool music venue. Drinks are terribly expensive. Prepare for $7-9 pints and $7 Wells.

Been trying to get here for a while. Let me start with the BBQ they say its smoked for 14 hours which may be true but with what? I use wood and it's not like mine.The taste was faint you can tell it was smoked but without flavor. I think it's an industrial smoker of some sort. Seasoning was there...in all wasnt what I expected...But I won't take away from the process...not what I expected again.. but its all good. If you know true BBQ need I say more. The peach cobbler was good..maybe next time...so long Austin....next

Fantastic venue for beer, live music and food - IN THAT ORDER. The sides are good while you can find better BBQ elsewhere. The live music is what draws the crowd to this location. An amazing small quaint indoor venue flanked by a massive outdoor venue that is large enough to house a good amount of people. Fantastic waitstaff overall. Fun, lively area. Highly recommended for a show! Close to downtown also!

Great views of show, clean open theater, drinks and food was recently priced for this type of venue, bathrooms were clean. Food was a bit lacking outdoors, could of had one more booth for sure.

Great BBQ! After eating here my whole hotel smelled like farts... because we farted to dang much.

The meat is pretty dry and not very flavorful. No wonder their sauce is so popular, as it's definitely needed. There is way better barbecue in Austin just a couple of blocks away in East Austin.

Fast service, friendly staff and a downtown Austin icon. I'm a huge fan of their bottled BBQ sauce but the stuff at the table is either old or expired. As a native Texan I can tell you what's good BBQ and what isn't. This is OK. I've had worse and I've had better. :(

I guess my expectations were too high for Stubb's...I kind of expected it to blow the other BBQ I ate out of the water, but that didn't happen.

Terry Black's was much better food! I got the pulled pork and chicken. Pulled pork was very smoky and not full of fatty gristly parts. Chicken was OK, but everything, including the Mac n cheese and cornbread, was cold. Not like fridge cold but nowhere at a temp I'd call warm.

great concert venue for both local, and large artists. There is a stage downstairs and a large stage backyard setup next to it.

tradition: it's an iconic place, visited by locals and celebs alike. It's a staple of downtown austin, worth a stride in and look about.

food (bbq) reviews vary from ok to good. BUT, If you are looking for that, don't confuse stubbs with the retrospective of austin bbq, there are way too many other places to elate your palate.

I really enjoyed Stubb's. The pulled pork sandwich had a generous helping of meat, good onion rings (not greasy), and a huge glass of iced tea (or whatever your choice may be). I enjoyed the BBQ sauce as well.

Went here twice, once for movie night, Old School was showing. It was awesome. $5 blue moon specials! Got some good BBQ and sat on a blanket. Also sae Gogol Bordello here. Awesome music venue!

They have rats in the kitchen and they need to fix that issues. No place where food/drinks are served can be open this way.

Love the sauce but pretty disappointed that our team had reservations weeks ahead of time and then they kept changing the contract. 170 people were looking forward to the Stubbs experience.

Good concerts but terrible service. I m surprised with all the other reviews since I ve been here multiple times and been left standing at the bar with no bartender to be found and at a table with no waitress.
Food is average, but when I come back it will be for the music, definitely not the service. Not the usual Austin hospitality and service you can get at so many other bars nearby.

Not worth the money, not good bbq. We went on a Saturday night, place was very crowded from the bar/band, but the restaurant wasn't (should have been a warning sign). Food arrived quickly, but was cold; the sausage was poor quality, the pulled pork was basically soft mush of unidentifiable pork, all was very bland. The bread that came with the meal was no different than store brought while sliced sandwich bread. The service wasn't great: the servers were around; however, after asking waiters 4 times for straws for our drinks, we were told (while receiving our check) that they were out of straws! Their sweet tea was also very unsweet... we asked to make sure we weren't given unsweetened: the second drink of sweet tea was also not sweet (basically just tasted like cold tea).

Coleslaw was probably the only decent thing I ate there.

Had the IPA beer, brisket and ribs. The food was good; the atmosphere pleasant. I would recommend this BBQ restaurant.

Very cool atmosphere, awesome amphitheater, wish we were there when the bands are booked, still great all around. Not over priced, but priced like good bbq should be. Enjoy.

Great food! Unfortunately the staff likes to stand off to the side and not serve the customer. We sat for almost 10min after we were done waiting on our check. During our meal we had to ask the bus boy for a refill on drinks and condiments.

Great outdoor concert venue. I've never seen another place quite like it.
Wish they had some seating available for those of us who are starting to feel our years. Maybe some bleachers way in the back or something.

Overrated, food was average and service was the same

We attended the Gospel Brunch, our table overlooked the stage so our view was perfect. The food was delicious, Tex-Mex options, Mac n Cheese, Grits, Brisket an pecan pie. We were thoroughly entertained. The band harmonized well and engaged the audience to participate. My only complaint was it didn t last long enough.

Stubb's gets some great acts coming through, and is a fun place to see a concert if you don't mind standing. I have been for some private events too and the food and service have always been good.

Great music venues, great barbecue, great drinks, what else do you need? The live music venues I ve been to here have always been great. Favorite live music spot.

Great BBQ! No frozen margaritas. Nice and strong but not tasty to me. Great customer service! Fun music. My wee ones loved it!

The food was very tasteful, the meat however was very dry. Kinda disappointed. However the service was great, our server was very attentive.

Silly me.... Here I thought I could get into Franklin's at the last minute. 1.5 hr wait and the were already running out of brisket. Thanks to Google Maps, I see Stubbs BBQ only a few blocks away. Look at this!!! There is even room on the street to park. The food was great. Brisket, sausage and ribs were what we were after. Well satisfied. Give it a try, you won't be sorry

One of my favorite Austin venues for music, and they also serve great food & drink for reasonable (for downtown) prices. Stubb's has the ideal live music setup: one stage, great sound, enough room that you're not packed in like a sardine, shade trees, smoking allowed, and they bring in stellar acts that won't break the bank. I've seen some of my favorite bands for no more than $20 a show here. Can't beat it!
