Great food, nice from the wind and in the sun (when it shines).

Nice place. We had french fries, a green salad and kids pasta. Unfortunately, the child did not get full. The green salad is great for dutch standards. Because with avocado, walnuts, pine nuts and spinach and in price a real surprise. I would eat there again and again. From here we looked at the sunset a few times. Great!

Wat een teleurstelling. Ziet er uit als een leuke tent met een leuke kaart, maar viel erg tegen. Bediening liet te wensen over. Duurde erg lang voor er iemand een drankje op kwam nemen, toen we onze hand opstaken naar een dame kwam ze ons wel meteen helpen. Jammer dat diegene die ons eigenlijk had moeten helpen (het was blijkbaar haar wijk), haar 1 meter van onze tafel ging staan uitfoeteren dat ze het wel moest zeggen als ze iets in haar wijk deed.
Drankjes duurden erg lang, hadden ons voorgerecht al voor het eerste drankje op tafel stond.
Biefstuk was taai en lauw, kruidenboter was vergeten en de portie friet was erg karig voor twee personen. Uiteindelijk besloten om ons dessert bij een andere tent te gaan nuttigen.

When we were here we had to wait a very long time before the order was taken. I think there was only 1 person in the kitchen who also had to serve. Anyway, if you are a bit hungry, it is wonderful when it is finally in front of you.

It was delicious, friendly attentive service. Great atmosphere right on the beach behind glass wind protection. The portions are not generous, but very tasty.

Great beach bar with the tastiest fries we have tested in De Koog. When the weather is nice, enjoy the sea view. Also tasty little things are on the menu. The service is very friendly.

Geweldige plek aan het strand op Texel.
Prachtige plek om naar toe te wandelen via het bos of het strand.
We kwamen uitgewaaid aan en werden ontvangen met een gezellig knaperende haardvuur. Er is hier oud holland gezellig.
Waar je rustig en goed kan eten en drinken. Open tot ongeveer zonsondergang.

Cozy tent to sit after a walk on the beach, however, the prices for the food are on the high side. The bill was also not correct, many extra drinks were added, which we had not ordered, after some research the bill was eventually corrected.

Super location and comfortable lounge sofas on the terrace. The prices used are also very neat for a pavilion at this location.

It was packed inside. But on the recommendation of our B&B stopped here anyway to eat. Have delicious Zeeland mussels here (you come from Texel to Flanders) and then eat Zeeland mussels here. And the bavet was also very good in taste. Fortunately they have a good terrace where you can sit now that unfortunately it was all reserved inside

We did visit there for a wedding and it was great. Nice atmosphere with beautiful sea view. Good service, drinks and snacks and last but not least a vibrant and enthusiastic band that understood how to entertain a crowd.

We were there on a Monday so it was nice and quiet. Operation was smooth. Atmosphere is fine, only price quality ratio was a bit thin. I found that you do not get much value for money, pretty little fish, for example. But you also pay for the location of course. French fries were very seasoned, chicken chicken piri piri very tasty, but a little chicken. Furthermore, a nice beach tent!

We are often in this pavilion because it offers a lot that makes a vacation beautiful. At first glance, the great location right on the beach is striking. You have a beautiful view of the sea and the wide, white sandy beach. The Paal's decor is modern, maritime and cozy. You can also sit here very well on rainy days. The service is very friendly, the menu just right in length. The food is delicious! The prices correspond to those of other pavilions in a comparable location.

Not as crowded as Paal 20. Easy to reach by bike. Great beach what more could you ask for.

Have lunch here after a morning on the beach. Beautiful beach bar but appearances can be deceiving. At lunch everything went wrong that could go wrong. Second round of drinks took a long time. When we asked where it was it was said that "it was in the making". No apologies or "I'm going to have a look" ... then the gin tonics we ordered were not like on the menu: mint instead of rosemary. And the tonic wasn't cold, so they had to stand in a bucket of ice to get cold. That's why it took so long. But she tasted great so fine. But then the food came: a vegan salad with chickpeas and lentils, but without chickpeas and lentils. Just a little lettuce, pickles, two dates, a fig and to compensate for everything that was missing, they had thrown in an abundance of olives. A crab salad that would contain citrus fruit and apple, but which were also missing. And finally a portion of North Sea crab with lime mayo and citrus fruit. Here too, the citrus fruit was missing and the lime in the mayo was nowhere to be seen. Actually, I got a portion of crab with a dot of mayo ... In addition, not the right cutlery to eat that crab properly. After inquiring, it turned out that their order was not delivered on time, which meant that they ran out ... that can of course happen, but then come and tell us and do not just quack something on a plate and then ask for the full blow. Finally the waiter picked it up nicely and gave us a 15 discount. Well solved so we dared to give them another chance for dinner in the evening. As with all restaurants, you can only book inside. However, the sun is right on the windows, which can only open a little bit, making it very hot. Fortunately we were allowed to move and the emergency exit was opened. That was better. However, we now overlooked a piece of terrace where they apparently dump trash bags and the broken tables and chairs. Not so nice ... even now it took a long time before we got our drinks but the real fiasco was the food. We ordered the bavette three times and the stuffed sweet potato three times. The bavette was not asked how it should be baked. Two of the three bavettes were good, but the third turned out to be completely raw after a few bites. And the sweet potato was a complete joke. 18 for a very small sweet potato filled with 4 pieces of string beans, 10 white beans and a few lentils ... luckily I am a small eater but this was far too little. When we spoke to someone about this we were treated downright rude. The bavette just heard it, but if we did not like it, he could throw that piece back on the grill. No recognition at all that they have to ask themselves how it should be prepared so that it is served the way the guest likes it. And mister thought the sweet potato was a fine dish .... "it had filling, right?" Apparently the complaint then went through the entire staff because the emergency exit suddenly had to close because the kitchen suffered from being open (after we had been there for an hour) and we were no longer asked if we wanted to eat / drink something . We even had to get up and speak to someone to get the bill. We just paid it, even if we were not compensated at all, but we will never go here again. Dear owner and staff: we celebrate holidays in your own country to support you, among others, after corona. But be a good host. This was nothing short of bad!

Lovely atmosphere, pleasant service and beautiful menu and of course the view of the sea. Just through the loose sand to it. But the reward is also nice.

Beautiful beach bar, but that was the best. Soft drinks without prick, meat that is still raw, dirty glasses (cutlery was also clean) and all in all not a very good experience unfortunately.
