A great place to stay in the park and is close to the major attractions on the north-side of the park. Room is clean and spacious. Has a restaurant on site, offering breakfast and dinner. Food quality is above average.

Nice location. Next to San dunes. Very clean. Food is amazing although may appear bit expensive, but considering the remote location and taste it is worth it. Rooms are very clean. Has very clean rooms with ac TV and heater.

Left after one night despite reserving for two. When I conveyed my frustration with the situation the front desk was super cool and allowed me to checkout without paying second night. The room was solid. The store and restaurant a disaster. Get ready to be gouged if you forget something or need to eat. One concessionaire owns the whole business in the park (like all national parks...fairly common) but the set up at this one is disastrous compared to Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Sequoia or Zion. It s all maximally priced while being of minimal value/usefulness. The restaurant situation in the park is really abysmal. Nothing efficient. Be prepared for surly service and over priced food with limited options (forget vegan or even vegetarian). Better to drive through in a day and stay elsewhere. Which is sad bc the park is beautiful. Unfortunately the experience is ruined by services you don t need (swimming pools, golf course, sit down restaurants, tacky souvenir stores) while services you do need (WiFi, general store with supplies and food, cafeteria) are missing. Best strategy for beating the situation: stay in Bishop. The park is so big that the extra half hour drive isn t gonna be noticed. Staying in the park has too high a price (literally and figuratively) to be of value.

What a jewel in the middle of nowhere! We came to Death Valley to see all the sights and beautiful formations it has to offer. The rooms here were very cozy and clean. The saloon offered a good variety of choices.. slim but quality was there. Drinks.. well it's a saloon and they had plenty. The morning breakfast was amazing. The environment in the building was a mix of 1960s and movie posters with the fireplace welcoming you into the room. Good prices as well for breakfast. Visit this place if your looking for a nights stay in beautiful Death Valley.

Nice rooms and good cleaning, however the prices were insane. The price of a microwaved meal was around $25. The general store's cup noodles tasted way better than the food. Also, the general store smelled like piss. The TVs were kinda outdated as well. None of the meals were VEGAN!!!! That triggered me too because I'm a true Peta member

This was a great place to stay the night in Death Valley. It is on the far end so you are about 45 minutes away from Badwater. But you are close to the sand dunes. From there you can get really cool sunset and milky way pictures.

This has to be one of the most extra-ordinary places to stay in the world !!
We have stayed here several time and love it ... after a scorching day exploring the wonders of Death Valley, this place is like an oasis. A dip in the pool, a simple meal and a few nice beers, then off to bed.

Not the most comfortable nights sleep, but certainly one of the most memorable.
We will be back there again soon.

Do not bother stopping to eat at stove pipe Wells. The people could not be more apathetic. We sat there for an hour and 20 minutes and received cold food because our server had gone on break and the apathetic woman he left to take care of his customers did not care about anything. She was turning people away as they came in rather than put forth the effort to seat them.

Good room but lots of the little bugs they warn you about. Had several bugs crawling around on my bed making me wary to even go to sleep. Renovated shower was great. Had to eat in the saloon because there aren't other places around. Super overpriced for below average food. They were out of several things on the menu. My turkey burger tasted like burnt plastic. The pasta tasted like it was marinated in vinegar. Next time I'd rather eat gas station food for dinner

Great place, food and location. We were in the pool during the Ridgecrest Earthquake (which turned it into a wave pool for a few minutes). The rooms were plain, but the point of being here is not to hang out in your room ... it s to see the park.

The location of the hotel is 5 star. It's a beautiful place. We walked outside at night and within a few minutes away from the room, we could see the stars. In the mornings, we could see the sunrise over the dunes. The rooms were simple and clean. There is a small pool but we didn't use it. There's wifi near the registration area only and it's weak, but again, it's Death Valley, so it's a good place to unplug. The reduced rating is because of the restaurant. Had dinner and breakfast there. Both were huge disappointments. The soup at dinner tasted like warmed up salsa, watered down slightly, with some chips and cheese on top. The best part of the meal was the Frito-pie (chili on top of Fritos chips) because of the chips. The rest were mediocre. Breakfast the next morning was unappetizing. Overall, a beautiful setting so would recommend a stay for the view but not the food.

You can get a pass to use the poolside shower facilities at Stovepipe Wells Village (without booking a room). After five nights of camping out, it was a slice of heaven! Towels were available, and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel in dispensers right inside the shower. Best value in the park!

I really enjoyed my recent visit to Death Valley National Park. Stayed at Panamint Springs but had dinner in Stovepipe Wells Village. The food was good and the staff at the restaurant treated me and my family well. The food was also good.

Room of small size, but clean. The air conditioning is a bit noisy but it is still normal due to the excessive heat even in the evening. Plunge into the vital pool to cool off. Mediocre but buffet breakfast.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Food is unsafe and cross contaminated and days old. The paying guests get the leftovers from staff and 90 percent of the staff has food poisoning on the regular. They do not treat staff well. I do not support companies that treat staff badly. You also pay for brand name liquor but actually get well liquor and they are ok with that.

Clean room with a very nice shower. If you're looking for a unique place to spend the night in Death valley, definitely try Stovepipe Wells. It has a restaurant and supply store on site, so you won't have to bring your own food necessarily. The restaurant is very good.

A good place for a night or two. The room (old building) was small but if you just wanted to sleep in it was enough.
The restaurant is average and the prices are slightly too high for that. But by and large you can already go out to eat.
Those who do not have high standards are in good hands here.

This is one of three properties that let you stay overnight in Death Valley. This is by far the best value of the three hotels. The room are basic and the beds are old and creeky, but it is a beautiful location, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant is decent. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Death Valley.

Are at saloon as was only option this time of year. Solid food for being in the middle of a national park. On the more expensive side but again not surprising given where you are eating far from the rest of civilization.

Out of no where, there is this outpost. When we were there, there s government shutdown and only one restaurant open. The food is very respectable for such remote location. The beef burger and crispy chicken were even better than some gourmet burger place back in Bay Area.

Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel was a great, convenient place to stay in the middle of Death Valley National Park. It's a little expensive, but considering the cost to transport water, food, gas, etc. to the area, it's expected. Front desk was incredibly helpful and polite. The welcome/info book in the room was very interesting and full of important things to know regarding safety, amenities, and history. Room was clean and simple, but the bathroom could use some work. The shower was dirty and had weird residue in it. Overall, would recommend staying here. It's probably the most affordable hotel in the Park. However, if you camp in the area, you could make your overnight cost significantly less (and still have access to stores, restaurants, and shower at the Village).

The hotel is close to the sand dunes. Great place to visit during dawn and dusk. We are able to see the stunning milky way and stars. Two restaurants and a general store on site. Food is decent and a little bit pricey.

Wife and I stayed here just this past weekend, for two nights. Hotel staff are all super friendly and accommodations are plentiful and consistently offered both in early in the day and evening. I think what was most enjoyable, though, was the Toll Road Restaurant and the Badwater Saloon. The decor is a total throwback to the pioneer era of America, and you almost expect an old dusty rustler to wander in through the doors while you chow down on their super delicious burgers, or beer from their pretty extensive list. All in all, zero complaints. We'll be back very soon.

Restaurant was great! The prices are a tad high but considering the effort it takes to get everything out there it's totally reasonable. We stayed in the campsites over night, which is basically a parking lot for rv's and tents but facilities are well kept and they have a no generator policy from 7pm to 7am.

A quaint little spot with a western flair, cool gift shop. I don't know about the rooms as I camped under the stars in the CG accross the road. There is also a restaurant and saloon but I did not go in. It nice to be close to the dunes :)

The staff was absolutely gorgeous, always friendly and helpful and never a recommendation embarrassed. The rooms are small and rather dark, but this is due to the climatic situation in the Death Valley and causes the rooms always have a pleasant temperature despite the heat.
The location of the hotel is great, just a short drive to the Sanddunes, which are within sight. Across the street is a general store where you can replenish your supplies. On the grounds there is also a nice bar / restaurant where you can eat for human prices.
