Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel was a great, convenient place to stay in the middle of Death Valley National Park. It's a little expensive, but considering the cost to transport water, food, gas, etc. to the area, it's expected. Front desk was incredibly helpful and polite. The welcome/info book in the room was very interesting and full of important things to know regarding safety, amenities, and history. Room was clean and simple, but the bathroom could use some work. The shower was dirty and had weird residue in it. Overall, would recommend staying here. It's probably the most affordable hotel in the Park. However, if you camp in the area, you could make your overnight cost significantly less (and still have access to stores, restaurants, and shower at the Village).
