The staff just doesn't care, they're the only thing around and they know it. Just do yourself a favor and bring your own food (it'll taste better and you won't have to rely on the horrible service of the restaurant) and a tent if the weather is cool enough (The hotel is trash and way overpriced).

An unplanned stay for 1 night after getting a punctured tyre in Death Valley. Staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Philip on the front desk. Room was clean and food was available on site as was an excellent gift shop. Well worth a visit

The staff is friendly and helpful. We booked a standard 2 bed room. The curtain in bathroom was missing. The manager upgraded the room to be the special double bed room. Thank you. The views at sunset and sunrise at nearby were amazing. The hotel is well maintained.

Simple place in the middle of the desert, where you look for quiet get away from all other life's distractions.
You need nothing more than it offers, and in that area of Death Valley, you don't expect more.

Comfortable accommodations in the middle of a desert.

This hotel was a great place for our visit to Death Valley NP. We stayed a total of 4x nights and found the room clean and staff very kind and helpful. The front desk is available 24/7 for assistance and late check-ins.

There is a gas station / general store across the street and a restaurant / bar on-site which is a plus. Gas was surprisingly cheap at $3.14 given Death Valley's reputation - Panamint Springs was charging $4.85!

The only slight downside was that the wi-fi is not available in any of the rooms but only covers the restaurant and front lobby area. Seating is available and a small business center. No dings on the star rating since the hotel guide does warn that they use satellite internet so bandwidth is very limited. Don't expect to stream an HD movie or do a video call.

The lack of wi-fi was actually helpful in the end since we ended up exploring more of the park during day and night rather than being cooped up in the room and glued to our devices.

Not many options in the area. We stayed/camped at the RV campground to charge the Tesla (14-50 NEMA). People were nice, but not overly friendly. Lunch at the restaurant was adequate, but nothing special. Priced for the area (overpriced, but relative to the other options)

The wait times to get seated and to get food served were too high. It took them st least 45 minutes to serve food. I ordered a chessburger and it was too salty. Given that I wss tired and waited too long for the food I didn't even have the energy to complain. My wife's mashed potatoes were cold as well. Also the prices were too high. 16$ for a burger and 20$ for a chicken steak. Unfortunately there is nothing much around so you have to pay for the premium. I think a better option is to drive to Beatty 50 mins away where there are a lot more options. You might actually save time and money overall.

A nice hotel in the middle of Death Valley. There is a local shop, cafe and restaurant on the premises. Don't expect to have 4G or even WiFi (there are desktop computers with internet connection you can use in the business room). It's a bit pricey for the quality of room you get, however, it's definitely a must-do if you're driving through the Death Valley. The location is absolutely amazing, as the hotel is bang in the middle of the park and all points of interest are within easy reach. The Sand Dunes are about half a minute by car and are absolutely stunning!

Small village seeming to have stopped in the farwest. It does not deserve a stop of more than 1 by taking a look at the small shop providing souvenirs and a bit of everything, nevertheless some pretty pictures ...

The room is clean and well equipped. The air conditioning is, however, very loud, which makes sleeping very uncomfortable. My burger in the saloon was burned and tasted like trash.

The hotel didn't have much when we were there. No pool (construction), no WiFi, no blankets on the beds, no ESPN, no phones in the rooms, nothing but the basics... and also, no problems. It was pretty clean and really enough for a place to crash after exploring all day. Service was fine. Gift shop is the best we came across. Decent overall.

Doesn't look like much, but it grows on you rather quickly. Has everything you need, excellent service, and great breakfast.

Shame about the very limited tour offerings compared to what's advertised online, but nothing they do offer we took advantage of disappointed.

Also worth noting the general store has a very similar range to the Furnace Creek one down the road, but cheaper across the board for the same items.

While in Death Valley we decided to stop in the saloon for a drink and an appetiser. They have a decent beer selection. We ordered the queso appetiser. The dip was OK but the chips looks like the bottom crumbs from the bag. Just nd if disappointing but I guess I didn't expect a lot in the middle of the desert.
