Loved it!! We had the nicest waitress. Don t know her name but the food was delicious as well.

The food is still great, but the staff and kitchen at the new location were a but slow. It's a different atmosphere at this new location. Not as cozy. But, again, the food is great.

Amazing place with local flare and flavor with dishes that span the cultural palate..Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent Cuban sandwiches, even by Tampa area standards. I had never had one with jus for dipping, but it was a very nice touch!

This place is fantastic with amazing service. I couldn't find the place at first so i called, and one of the workers came out and searched for me. The soup is great. Cant wait to come back and try more on their diverse menu.

Went for dessert and appetizer after eating at another Ybor restaurant. We were given appetizers before our waters, and desserts without silverware. My brownie was solid in the middle from the cold ice cream sitting onto for so long. One of the guests in my party did not like her food. Myself and another guest of my party tried her appetizer and we didnt like it either. Her appetizer was the lobster bisque, whichbshebordered after the waitress said it was delicious and had chunks of lobster. It was a bland puree with absolutely no lobster chunks, sonshe sent it back. She also ordered an apple empanada with ice cream. They brought out an "empanada" that looked like it was simply apples inside of a flour tortilla uncooked. We even joked that taco bell has a better looking apple empanada. The "empanada" was sitting in a pool of melted whipped cream that she didnt ask for. How is the ice cream not melted, but the whip cream is? She refused to even taste it, and sent it back. The server came back and demanded she pay for the food. She then said she'll get the manager to come speak to us. After waiting almost 10 minutes, I go in with this particular guest sonic can retrieve my debit card (its timed parking out here, and i had to get back to my car). The waitress angrily tells the guest that WE cant come back and if she doesn't like the two items, she shouldn't be at the restaurant. I proceed to calmly tell the waitress that no one HAS to like food. She begins to go off on me, then the manager runs over and begins to go off on us as well. This should have been handled differently, and my entire party was told to never return. One of the members of my party is a faithful customer of this restaurant and is always recommending it to others.

Edit: after reading the other reviews with comments from the owner, I will not contact the owner. I now see why we were give such horrible service. Pathetic. Just hope you go on a good day if you do go.

We had the French onion and broccoli and cheese soups. Split a gyro. With drinks it was the perfect meal. Thanks!

I've been told by numerous people how great this place is, and this Friday afternoon, I decided to try it with my daughter. We ordered a Cuban sandwich to split and I was shocked when 2 small slivers of a sandwich showed up. Literally 2 bites and it was gone. The bread was hard as a rock, the table was sticky, the booth's seats were worn down and ripped apart and the service was non existent.
With all of the places in Ybor that serve Cuban Sandwiches, I honestly don't think this is a place I would visit again. Very unimpressed. Sorry.

Ordered a Cuban sandwich with black beans and rice, and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The sandwich was good, plenty of meat, cheese, and pickles. The mojo sauce it comes with is nice. The yellow rice was crunchy in some parts. The soup was bad, like embarrassingly bad. Bland broth, a few sad bits of celery and carrots that were starting to brown, hardly any chicken, and a mound of flavorless noodles. I expected so much more from a place that charges $6 for a bowl of soup and has SOUP in the name. This restaurant is about the ambiance, not the food.

The stone soup company is a great option for good food. Yum!

Food was ok, could have been significantly better. Terrible service.

Arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday, the place was about 1/2 full. We walked in and were told to sit anywhere we like. Someone came up a few minutes later, asked us what we were drinking, dropped off menus. No straws.

Waitress walked back and forth serving a table behind us. We asked for straws twice, never got them. In walks a "food tour group", they were seated immediately, and a different server brought out these cuban sandwiches immediately for them.

Meanwhile, we're still waiting to order, it's 30 minutes after we arrived, about 20 minutes after our menus were dropped off.

No worries at this point, they're busy, there's only 4 people in the back of the kitchen two wait staff and a third girl I never really saw do anything for the ~25 people in the restaurant.

We flag down the waitress indicating we'd like to order, she comes back and takes our order.

We order a few simple items from the menu, chili cheese fries as an appetizer, cheesy garlic bread, soup and a sandwich.

And we wait.
Continue waiting.
Wait some more.

Meanwhile, the table behind us that arrived just before we did was offered some complimentary samples. Nothing for us.

Food finally comes out an hour after our order was placed. No apology, nothing. We asked for straws once more.

The sandwich and cheesy bread were luke warm, the cheese started to solidify and was not melt at all. Appears like it was left under a heat lamp for quite a while.

The soup was solidly "ok".

We were informed the chili cheese fries would be right out.

We ate the food delivered.

Another 20 minutes after our food arrived, and we'd finished, still no chili cheese fries, or straws.

I went to the register told them we wanted to pay, cancel the remaining food and we left.

Grand total? Just shy of two hours for some mediocre food.

Honestly, the food served seems like it would have been between above average and delicious if it had been served fresh. However the not so hot cheesy bread and the lukewarm flatbread were very meh. I really don't know what the screw up was with such a well staffed placed and not that many customers.

All that I can say is that we'll never be back, and I wish we had gone somewhere else instead.

Oh, and we never did get those straws.

We love this place. Miss Kayla took very good care of us! The baked potato soup and chili were quite yummy. This place never disappoints

Had the cuban, chicken gorgonzola salad, and broscht soup. Great service and drinks.

The best all round Cuban in Tampa. I've tried many over the years. From the perfectly buttered crisp Cuban bread to the crunch of the pickle is perfect. Its a must try.

Service was good and I'm sure other menu items taste good, but this review is a specific review of the Beef Pho on the restaurant's soup menu, which I ordered in assuming it was Pho. It was not. What I recieved was more akin to a tasteless Beef & Mushroom Noodle soup. Nothing about this soup was Pho. The noodles were chopped into small bits, the broth was thick and briney, and there was no onion, garlic, ginger, etc that one would regularly expect in a Pho. I don't know if the chef tried to create some new form with his/her own idea of Pho, but please. Stop. For Pho sake, change this.

Hubby and I split the cuban and the steak and cheese. Both were amazing. The cafe con leche was awesome. Will definitely be back.

Lobster Bisque was amazing. Wish I would've taken a picture so you could see the goodness. Customer service was great! I plan on returning to try their other soups and menu items. The venue is clean and spacious. Although I didn't get anything from it, they also have a full bar. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for soups.

Alright food, cool area. Spook easy inside check that place out.

This place is horrible I've never tasted their food but as a Dasher picking up an order and waiting 25 minutes is not cool when asking why food is taking so long they were very rude about very unprofessional no one should have to wait 25 minutes for a sandwich

Down to earth place with a real story that also serves great fresh food & cold beer with great service & atmosphere. What s not to love! Have an adventure - get on down to Ybor City.

I absolutely love this place! It's got a great vibe, interesting paintings/scenery, and enjoyable music. I highly recommend the loaded potato soup and the stoney panini! This place is a perfect lunch spot right on 7th Ave!

I loved the food here but the wait for it is terrible. Peak hours are really difficult. Vegan/ Vegetarian options are really good in taste. My personal favorite is Ex Wife on a Diet Pasta!

I had a delicious and unique cuban sandwich here, but my gf ordered a bowl of pho that was terrible. She only ate 1-2 bites of it, and new she couldn't eat anymore. Unfortunately, the management said they'd only take 50% off of a basically uneaten meal. Then, the pot stickers she ordered instead were pretty bad, too.

So, if you want to gamble on maybe paying 50% for food you wouldn't eat (and paying full price the replacement meal, of course) go ahead and eat here.

I wouldn't recommend it, though. There are too many other good options around with better management. Service was friendly but inattentive.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The fries were burnt and the tomato basil soup was curled. The fries smelled so bad we had to double bag them an throw them in the trash so the would stop smelling up our hotel room.

Stopped by in the Stone Soup Company for a quick lunch. Staff was extremely friendly. I tried the sandwich and it came with pasta salad. It was a perfect portion! Will be back next time.

Absolutely one of our favorite go- to places to order out from! During the quarantine, we ordered several times- staff was always super nice and food was outstanding!

It s usually a 4-5 star experience. They have a decent amount of vegan options too!

I've visited twice at their new location. Nice place; love the booth seating, solid service, food is good as I have always experienced and menu has expanded over the years. Quick and tasty food are a good lunch option.

Best mac and cheese I've ever had. Great drinks and friendly service. Can't wait to come back with my husband.

The serving sizes there are very big for what you pay for

A while back I didn't have as good of experience as I had a few days ago.
A friend asked me to try it again, and it was awesome. The service has really stepped up a notch or two and the food was good as usual.
When I leave my home to give my money away, I love to hand it over to people who provide excellent service and this place I am happy to visit again soon.

I recommend the chicken over yellow rice with black beans. It is amazing! Staff is super warm and friendly. Management looks to fix any issues right away. Last week my chicken had ended up burnt. I emailed and got an immediate reply. They looked for a way to handle this complaint and took care of me. Went today again and the food couldn t have been more perfect! Thank you!

Get the Cuban, great service, always good coffee too. Honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu

Fantastic and creative food with many unique vegetarian/vegan options. The vegetarian empachilladas were astoundingly good. Excellent, professional, and friendly service from Yolanda. Overall a very pleasant experience - highly recommended!

One of the best jobs I ever had in Ybor City, and some of the best food in my opinion. I still go back to talk to old coworkers and eat the food. Its perfect for the ybor vibe.

The cuban with jalapenos is great, really liked the flavor and overall texture. Cafe con leche was very tasty and worked nicely as a dessert. Cool place with very lovely service.

This was a funky and fun place to visit the upstairs area hidden behind the bookcase serve some interesting drinks. Totally recommended

If you are in the neighborhood check it out. I had a slice of the Grandma and a cheese pie, and let me tell you it was the best pizza I've ever had. This is actually the best pizza in the city.

We met there for drag queen bingo and it's a very cute place to hang out. The upstairs eating area could get crowded but it was fun sitting and meeting new people. My friend's ate and no complaint on the food or alcohol. Would probably go back. It was a bit stuffy but they did turn the air down for us.

After hearing a lot of good about this place, we were glad to find ourselves in the area to try it. In their defense, it was early Sunday morning, and we were one of the first customers in. Unfortunately, the service, like the soup we ordered, could've used some warming up. We ordered drinks from the menu and found that they either didn't have the liquor needed for it or no longer served the drink as indicated on their menu. The drinks we did order were fine. We ordered an app that never came. We also ordered soup, and while I'm not expecting it to be scorching hot, I also wasn't expecting it to be cold. We decided not to continue with our lunch order, and we let the server know. It's not our norm to send food back or to leave mid meal, but it wasn't a great experience. I like the spook easy idea they have upstairs, and maybe we'll give it another try sometime, but it probably won't be any time soon.

Worst cocktails in Ybor. I have an Old Fashioned I can read through and the Mojito was made with brown mint. Order tea!

I couldn't possibly tell you if the food here is any good or not. We didn't get that far due to the horrible service. We went to meet up with some friends at the new spookeasy upstairs. We spent about a full minute up there as it's really small and at the time was not that busy but still seemed crowded. My wife and I were standing in front of one of the large sofas when an older woman in a long black dress(she worked there) hopped up from the sofa and very abruptly told us we couldn't sit there it was saved for someone else. We had no intention of sitting there we just walked in and were trying to take in the atmosphere. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming. We decided to just go get a cocktail downstairs at the Stone Soup Company. My wife and I walked up to the bar where one employee greeted us, looked like she was going to take our order but then just carried on a conversation with a coworker. The bartender who was not actively serving anyone but was having a very long conversation with a group on the other end of the bar completely ignored us. Just to be clear, this was not a busy Saturday night. It was 5:30pm and the place was nearly empty. Our friends arrived while we were waiting at the bar (bartender never did take our order) then we decided to just get a table. Our server took our drink order. We ordered well drinks and it took 15 minutes to get them. We decided we were not going to eat here the service was just rediculos. I asked for the check and I was charged over $8 per drink due to the fact they made our drinks with call liquor. I knew that had because my wife ordered a whiskey and 7up and when she got here drink it was obviously made with crown royal apple whiskey. No one asked for apple whiskey. I won't be back.

The drinks are great, the service is great, the food can be hit-or-miss. Don't order the gazpacho. Definitely DO order the lobster bisque.

Soup was great but they didn't have multiple items in stock on a weekend afternoon.
