Food was good but my bread was a little over toasted. Waiter was a little slow on refills. It is a cool place and all the other dishes at my table looked really good and were good according to the folks I was with. I'd go back.

Service needed a little work. The layout of the server who covered the bar seemed to have tables scattered throughout and it was hard to stay on top of the needs of the customers. The food of course was good, as always, but the chilli came out lukewarm; and we had to send it back to be reheated. I had a better experience when they were at their old location but it won't keep me away.

First time here today and my thoughts, just ok. The place is pretty cool. The customer service . Took forever to get to us. Never asked us how the food was (which was good by the way). They had no straws when we asked. Prices a bit steep. All around an ok place. I probably will choose elsewhere next time. Alot of great competition all around. Work on the customer service waiters and it will be good.

This place has amazing food (Cuban and empanadas were to die for) and the restaurant is uniquely decorated. The price is a little on the high side even for lunch. Great service and staff. I have only been there for lunch and during the week, so it s been quite slow the few times I went. They also deliver to near by places. Last time I went with my husband and daughter and they accommodated my toddler s needs and short attention span (food was delivered quicker for her and some games on the table). I will definitely go back.

By far one of the worst restaurants in Ybor. The owner didn't like my 1 star review, went through my contacts and threatened an ex worker, he owes money to, for my review, because we happened to be FB contacts. Crazy. The Cuban is burnt, the service is horrible, and he wants to blame others. My friends went back, got horrible service again, and nothing they ordered was available. Another friend went for soup, and they were "out"....ummm you're a soup company?! Better places in Ybor. This place is horrible and I don't support petty, childish owners who don't take responsibility for their places.

I've been going to The Stone Soup Company on and off for ages and for the most part, their quality has been above average. Today I had the Steak-n-Cheese and it really knocked my socks off. The menu said nacho cheese but I was instead given provolone (I wasn't really sure about the nacho cheese anyway...) and the peppers were a little underdone - but the steak was flavorful, the cheese was actually melted, and the cuban bread was delectable. I also had the Tomato You Basil soup which is an old favorite of mine, the gorgonzola is a nice touch. The only other issue I've had was a couple months back where they gave me frozen cheese with my Beyond Burger.

I was pleasantly surprised today to learn that they gave up plastic straws! One of my friends wanted a straw so they GAVE her a stainless steel one - free of charge! Really impressed with their dedication to sustainability. I'll keep coming back for sure.

The food here is phenomenal! I've been eating here for a while... Absolutely love the cuban. I love their "Library of Libations" bar... so unique. The staff is really down to earth and considerate. Love the art on the walls. And duh, their soups are amazing!!! I love the French onion. Try the Ex-wife's pasta (Lol LOVE the name)

We love this place!! It's amazing! The food is delicious and filling! This time I ordered a cubano empanada and tomato soup. Hubby ordered a cubano empanada and a Cuban sandwich. Last time ( not pictured) we ordered the chili and a chicken and beef empanada. Hubby says this is the best Cuban sandwich ever, and ordered one to go. As for the fries, they were addictive. I rarely eat fries, but I found myself stealing them from my husband's plate. When you go, here are a few tips: 1) If you don't like mustard mayo dip, ask for their house hot sauce.( Contains dairy ) 2) Make sure you order an empanada. It is so filling and delicious. They are not tradition either. 3) After lunch go upstairs to the lounge. 4) Make sure to come back and try everything on the menu. We plan too.

My experience today was great. My bartender Amanda was super friendly and made us feel welcomed. I actually came to this place awhile ago at their last location. This location is a lot bigger and nicer. I am happy for them. So if you come here, get the Real Cuban Sandwich. It's worth it! I live in Atlanta now and I flew here just to eat that sandwich.

Heard about Stone Soup from a family member so decided to try it for fathers day. Very nice and eclectic. The menu is vast and they have tons of choices besides soup. I ordered the Cuban, my wife ordered a chicken salad and my daughter-in-law order the tomato basil soup. All was very good. Also ordered hot pretzels for an appetizer. Yummy. Want to go back and try and couple of other items. Our server, Sarah, was awesome. Ask for her.

Been here a couple times, it's hit and miss with service. For some reason simple orders take a ridiculous amount of time. They charged my boyfriend for the wrong soup order, told him it was the same price, but it was $3 more. Most food is decent, nothing extraordinary, and definitely not worth the long wait.

We asked for a table at lunch and was told it was reserved but it was empty when we left 90 mins later. Asked for a cup of soup, thought it was a cup, but charged for a bowl. Asked for a pressed cuban to not be cut, (who the hell cuts a cuban lengthwise? it's like eating a cold cut hot dog that literally ends up in the palm of your hand) yet sandwich was cut. The soup was cold and was as thick as spackle, very unappealing. My 2nd and last time there, honestly not worth the wait or the price. Should have went to the Columbia.

The service ruins your experience. Took over thirty minutes to get the guy to come over and clean a table off for us, heard someone next to me be told that they would need to wait an hour for their food.

We really wanted to like this place. We went on a Saturday night, they started by not allowing us to sit in the window even though there were other guests there. Stated they were closing the window section. It's a strip. On the weekend. Closing the most desirable seats? Weird but ok. Server Ryan was good, nice and knowledgeable. We're glad to have had him. Food was mediocre at best. 4$ for a bland cold rice and bean empanada!? Lobster bisque was crazy salty and didn't taste like lobster but tasted like tomato soup with loads of salt. Sandwiches were decent but they were just sandwiches. Ambiance was nice.

If I could give it less I would. Atrocious waste of money. We watched people come in and wait and not get served when it was nearly empty. Most of the staff was too busy flirting with each other in the back. Waited 10 minutes to be told that they were out of the appetizer and then another 15 for the soup, which was unrecognizable to what we thought we ordered. A crazy amount of time to wait for soup when the restaurant was dead. Super sub par. Left hungry with a burnt tongue.

This place was fantastic and the Thai soup I had was very good. They have a lot of different drinks for those who consume alcohol and they are building some sort of tea room on the second level which looks to be really cool as the entrance to that is through a fake book case.

The place was very clean and the staff very friendly. If I am ever in the Tampa area again I will definitely repeat

Loaded potato soup was just a potato with soup as a filler. Not an actual soup. I had the hummus, jewban, the bird and burrito bowl over time. It s all just alright. Jewban is aight the rest were meh.

Disappointed, I had take my wife and daughter to lunch today and thought this place would be good... I was wrong. First off the service was horrible but the worst was the soup I got unit chili and my wife got mother s chicken noodle. Both were served Luke warm, and the chicken soup was horrible tasting. Needless to say I will never go back and I suggest you don t.

Probably the worst experience I've ever had.order food and a drinks and i waa insulted as 2 how I was treated.they treated me like I was trying to get over..unfortunately the waiter had to take the brunt of it and the owner told me not to come back to add insult to injury.absolutely the worst....wow..I've said my part and I will leave it at that.just don't put everyone in a box.u will b better 4 it.take care.

I wish I could give negative stars. The Manager is extremely rude!!! Terrible service.
EDIT:
I was going to keep this short but now I must explain why this restaurant DESERVES a negative review, after receiving threats from the manager.
I work in ybor and decided to get soup on a cold day with a coworker. We ordered online and picked it up at the restaurant . After she ordered i see that it was over charged. When we brought it up to an employee he got a manager so The Error can be corrected . We never asked for anything we just wanted to to know why there was such a difference in pricing for the same item. He said he cant do anything about it. And when we mentioned that it was double the price than the one on the menu he said Good and that he cant do anything to help us. He said he doesnt care and to have a good life. We never asked for anything in return we were just letting him know of an error about HIS restaurant. He was extremely rude and was loud with us. He cause a scene in the middle of the restaurant because we were trying to show him the major difference in pricing.

I've only had a bowl of cheese broccoli but it ranks as one of the best! Only issue here is i got a bowl but it looked like a cup and for 5.50 it's not a cheap bowl of soup. But again, it was really good. The menu has a very good selection that should appease many different culinary tastes.

I'm addicted! Hands down The Stone Soup Company has the BEST pressed Cuban I've ever had. And, the mojo dipping sauce is a must! I travel 45 min each way just to eat here. The staff, the food, the atmosphere is simply amazing. 5-stars all the way!

Great food and they support a great cause. The lobster bisque was great as was the service. A chill spot for adults on the weekend with some interesting decor and good food. All their leftover ingredients get donated to charity and you can donate a bowl of soup with your meal. Excellent

Had some unidentified object in my Lobster Bisque which may have actually been a small 'stone'. Needless to say it's not something that you want to find in your meal. Not a good experience.

My wife and I come here at least once a month and we're never disappointed. The award winning cuban is excellent and the soups are great just to name a couple of items worth trying, I've never had anything here that wasn't great). Prices are very reasonable, we usually end up spending right around $20 with tip. Chef Goldberg has an awesome place here.

We have been searching for an authentic Cuban Sandwich and finally found the place! No lettuce or tomatoes. No mayo. Just delicious goodness. And to top it off, I'm going to dream about the sausage and bean soup I had. Seriously. Incredible. It's in the heart of historic ybor and has cute decor. Service was quick and kind. Becky was our waitress and was pleasant and helpful. My husband and I both ate for around $25. So it's a solid meal at an affordable price. This is definitely a place to check out.

We ate here three years ago and it was great. Went here today. Wow. Terrible. The Cuban sandwich was two very thin sticks with barely anything in them and then the beans and rice. Oh the beans and rice. Luke warm and just terrible. I kept thinking that there was something wrong with it and I should not eat it, but I did eat about half of it and now 10 hours later I am paying for it. None of the four in our party liked their food.
