I came into Stokes Honda with what I thought was a dead Honda battery. T.J Ledbetter took care of my problem in a professional, courteous and timely manner. I was driven home at one point by an equally courteous gentleman compliments of Stokes Honda. The problem was that the computer system had to be reset. The diagnosis and reset was done free of charge. I would recommend the service at Stokes Honda as I have found them to be people of integrity.
I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to your service advisor David Rustin who went above and beyond the call of duty for my mother. A couple months ago my mother had an automobile accident and unfortunately all my sibling and me live out of state. David Rustin took it upon himself to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure all her issues were taken care of and resolved to her satisfaction. We re very grateful for how he was able walk her step by step to get resolution on these matters. In addition I just left a message this morning to him regarding a matter involving low tire pressure on my mother s vehicle and David Rustin quickly responded to my message and assisted us in resolving the matter. David is a very diligent, trustworthy and dependable person. David Rustin is a major asset to your organization and definitely needs to be recognized by your organization for all his efforts.
Enjoyed my experience at Stokes Honda. Got in and out quickly. Service Advisor Sean Collins did a great job. He advised me of my future maintenance that needed to be done for my next visit which no one ever does. Thank You Sean and Stokes Honda.

Because of my most recent service visit I no longer trust Stokes Honda North to work on my car. I took my 2011 Odyssey to get an oil change and new tires. When my service advisor called to tell me my car was ready to pick up he recommended 3 items be immediately replaced. He said my front windshield wipers were streaking, my battery registered low on the cold cranking units, and my top rear brake light was out. I told him not to do those replacements because my husband had just replaced my windshield wipers a month ago, the battery had been replaced less than a year ago by Honda (9 months and only 10,000 miles to be exact), and I would have my husband replace the brake light. When I got to the dealership I requested the service manager. The service manager, Cleve Mize, escorted me into the garage to have the technician prove his findings on my car. The technician was obviously mad about being put on the spot and this made me very uncomfortable. The test for the brake light turned out to be him pressing the brake and looking in the mirror to see if he could see the lights reflecting on the garage door. After I got home my husband and I checked the top brake light several times and all of the brake lights were functioning properly. When the technician retested the windshield wipers they worked fine, and I was told the technician just didn t let the wipers run long enough the first time. The battery retest showed my battery was still good, but I was never given a printout of the results. Mr. Mize then proceeded to reprimand all of the technicians in front of me (making me even more uncomfortable). Mr. Mize told my service advisor to comp me the oil change because of their mistakes. The next day, I spoke with the general manager, Joe Dettrey. I told him how upset I was with my experience and I felt they tried to defraud me. He was dismissive and explained everything away as honest mistakes . He told me that I don t know his technicians but he does and they would never do anything dishonest. He claimed the technician just made a mistake on the brake light and the other two issues were understandable oversights. One or maybe even two mistakes is understandable, but every single issue they found with my car was wrong. I will find another place to have my car serviced that will treat me with respect!
I have my Civic serviced here every 5,000 miles, and have no complaints. The service is great, and the staff are pleasant and courteous, in particular, Ray Dobbs. Keep up the good work!!

I recently started looking for a new car. After looking for a while, I noticed most of the very well kept cars for sale locally were at Stokes Honda. When I stopped by, Mr. Allen Sassard greeted us and said if we had any questions to let him know. (No extra pressure or being pushy like most other lots.) I found a used car in beautiful condition that was very well kept. I flagged him down again and asked for a test drive. I found the car for me! We went in to work on making a deal. The staff were very polite and extremely helpful! (Very clean dealership as well.) We ended up staying well past Mr. Allen's shift for the afternoon and he stayed the whole time to make sure that I was well taken care of while I was there. Mr. Michael blume was the sales manager that helped me get the price just right. He did a great job going to bat for me and getting me the best deal that he could. Also a huge thanks to Mr. Prince Sinsuat for helping me get piece of mind with a great warranty for a great price! Overall, I honestly haven't had a more pleasant experience shopping for a car. I really mean that. It felt less like "how can we get another sale done?" and more like "how can we help this guy out as best as we can?" I highly recommend checking to Stokes Honda for your next ride!

I just purchased my third Honda Accord from Stokes Honda North and have only the highest praise for this dealership. They offer fair pricing without wasting your time in endless haggling or adding costly unnecessary dealer options to the cars. Because of my desire to quarantine at home last week, Garfield Bowman handled the transaction by telephone and email. He then delivered the car to my house, had all the papers organized for me to sign, and drove my trade-in Honda back to the dealership. Garfield is an exceptional member of their sales staff and made buying a new car a pleasure.

I had a pretty bad experience here with a business manager during the signing of papers for financing. I came home with a few "suprises" in my contract, which I was very upset about. I received a phone call from the GM as soon as he was aware there was an issue(within 24 hours) and that issue was promptly addressed and remedied. Although, I appreciate the professionalism in the remedy of the situation(which was 5 stars), the inital experience should have never happened. I hope for the customers sake that this was a fluke and not standard business practice but, unfortunately, one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch.

PJ helped me find my car which I absolutely LOVE! I got a great value and he showed me every car I wanted to see and let me test drive them all! They have the best cars around and keep them presentable also. I bought a previously owned 2013 Hyundai Sonyata and it s in excellent condition! He listened to what I wanted as far as all the car features and helped me narrow down with my expectations and expenses. He was very professional and efficient with time as well. The environment in this store is fun and everyone is so nice! I HIGHLY recommend coming here to get a car and would recommend PJ!

The worst experience I have ever had with a dealership's service department. not only were we lied to the service advisor was yelling at me in front of my grandchildren. I had to call the corporation recall center which was a pleasure to talk to, hopefully they can do something about the service advisor and manager with the rudeness and incorrect information given and the money they charged us which was suppose to be part of the recall issues

and after reading a lot of the reviews with battery's, tires and most of all rude and deceitful CUSTOMER SERVICE, I have noticed a lot of the so called owner's response is the same all the way through.
If the owner really cared about the customers experience you would see some changes but that does not seem to be the case because these reviews go back at least a year and its the same complaints all the way.
My wife and I went in looking to just browse and see possibilities for a future car. PJ greeted us and showed us some of the cars they had in stock that met what we were looking for. We came across one that we liked but want quite in our price range. Thanks to PJ and the other staff members they were able to work with us and get us into an amazing car at an amazing price.
Currently sitting in the lobby waiting for my oil change to be done. I've been sitting here for 1 hour and 28 minutes. For about the past half hour I've been asking myself why I didn't go to some jiffy lube type of place instead that'll get you out in 30 minutes. What a waste of my day. I haven't even had an update on when it'll be done, they just tell you to go sit and you're in limbo for like two hours and then you pay too much and can finally leave. Haven't even been acknowledged. In the five minutes I've been typing this, I am still just sitting here waiting. Do people even get their car back at this place or what??

I had two bad experiences with this place. On the first occasion I had to have my backup camera replaced because the clips that hold it in fell off. The quote manager named Andrew kept telling me that my children must have pull the camera off the car I told him I didn't have any children but then he kept telling me that my children or my grandchildren must have pull the camera off the car. I did not appreciate his attitude. I felt like calling him a few choice words. The second incident was when my lane keeping camera was tracking left. Jack told me that they could not duplicate my concerns in a tone that implied that I was lying but then they replaced the part. Their attitudes just made me want to slap somebody or just go to a different Honda dealership.
After having some unfortunate things take place, I could have easily walked away and taken my business to another dealership and not thought twice about it, but the way this company handled this event from the GM, sales manager, service/parts director and sales person was over any expectations I had. They went extremely out of there way to ensure I was a satisfied customer and for that I am truly grateful. I will remain a loyal Stokes customer for any future vehicles I purchase even if it's not a Honda.
From the moment I got there, everything was so smooth. Garfield was great, went over all the details of the vehicle and I was able to get a good deal. I got the car I wanted with extra luxuries. Everyone was great and accommodating and was definitely the smoothest trip I ve made to a dealership. Nothing was forced and I left with a smile on my face.

I have been going to Stokes for years and always received great service. Today 6went for an oil change and the guy that helped me was very rude. I waited for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. When he did it was obvious that he didn't want to help me at all. He told me the wait was going to be about 3 hours I said ok then he told me maybe more because they might have to go get the filter. I said ok. And his attitude was horrible. Yes I bought the car from them but I wont be returning. No one should be treated so coldly.
Our salesman Yaya was absolutely amazing. We were looking for a specific model and color of a Civic. None was on the lot in North Charleston, but they had one trailered in from another dealer within a day. Great to do business with a dealer so accommodating!

Can't say enough about how my son and myself (by phone) were handled this morning with the help of Heather in the Service Department. Finally someone who understands the meaning of "customer service & standing behind what you sell", no matter who manufactures the part, we bought a HONDA. Thank you Heather for handling our situation with professionalism and the understanding that it's not the customer who should be handling the process, its the company behind the product. No need for details, just down right, good 'ole fashion customer service to myself over the phone, and my son who as a young driver, has not dealt with too many situations such as this one. He even asked, "what did you say to her over the phone?, I said nothing out of the ordinary" except for explaining the situation.. she took control of the situation and recognized what a good solution looks like, and handled it efficiently and expeditiously. Thank you again for revitalizing my expectations and hope that there are people in business that still understand what "Customer service" means... You deserve a raise and have my vote for employee of the month!!!! Thanks again for allowing this situation to have a positive outcome.
I am a loyal Honda driver; my first vehicle was a Honda. I've owned several Hondas and planned on purchasing several more. I have purchased two new vehicles from Stokes Honda (and had planned on buying another one this year), both times the sales staff and sales managers have been spectacular to work with.
It is with great sadness that I write my first online review ever and it so happens that it is towards my beloved brand, HONDA--to be specific, STOKES Service Department Manager, Cleve.
I brought my vehicle in to the service department on 2/24/14 for it's scheduled oil change and tires rotated. Before signing off on the receipt, I was told by your rep how great the treads on the tires were, I had another 40-50K miles on them, all tire pressures were great. That same day while driving at high speed on the Ravenel bridge with a car full of children under 5 years old, the dashboard started flickering, "Check tire pressure." First, one wheel flashed, then two. This is a 2013 Pilot Touring purchased new from Stokes in 2013 and have been routinely serviced by Stokes. I contacted Stokes Honda within minutes and brought the vehicle back the same day as my service.
Upon inspection, I noticed a small cut on by rear passenger tire. The manager determined that the small cut on my tire had nothing to do with the tire pressure sensory going off, but your tech was using a defective pressure gauge and they just found this out when I brought my vehicle back. She said that the vehicle is drivable but nsafe with the tire cut. She insisted that she will help me out and have a new tire put on, free of charge if I purchase the road hazard insurance for $399.
She came up with a solution after I refused to buy the road hazard insurance---she offered to pay for half the amount it would take to replace the tire as she felt that since we were both adamant that the other party was responsible for the cut, she would pay for half the cost to get a new tire, which was approximately $117. At this point, I just wanted to get out of there so I agreed to this. I walked by to ask her how much longer it would take, she happened to be in her manager Cleve's office.
Rather than leaving well enough alone, Cleve took this opportunity to tell me how great his techs are. He rudely brushed off the fact that the service department was using defective equipment and didn't know it was defective until I brought my vehicle back that same day. He said that it was only a difference of 2lbs of pressure. No apologies, no thanks for helping us determine we were using defective equipment when servicing vehicles...He arrogantly offered to "pay" for my tire under the condition that I "never come back again." I was speechless. Cleve then asked the then very quiet manager to put a note in my file, stating "she's fired" and stormed off.
It is unfortunate that one person in a position of leadership could lack such professionalism and tact. Cleve has tarnished a relationship decades old and potential decades more to come. Prospective customers, BEWARE of STOKES Service department.
I highly recommend Stokes Honda for your car purchase. My salesman PJ Serrano made the experience pleasant and fast and I drove away with a new civic.

Has to be the worst car buying experience EVER!!! We seen a car online for one price. It said payments as low as ??? First we talked to the salesman and did a test drive. He was very nice. Then they pass you off to someone else. His job title...I never found out. The price of the car is not what was online. It was more because there were charges added for cleaning and such. He told me..."You didn't read the fine print." I said well we can deal with that. I asked for a bottom line payment. I said, "If we can handle it we will take it." Then the salesman comes back. I asked him for a bottom line payment. Then a lady comes. I asked her to tell me a bottom line payment. We arrived at the dealership at 12. It is now 4 and no one can still talk to me about a payment. She wants to ask more questions. Like..Who is going to drive the car and what kind of millage does my husband drive each year? WHAT in 32 years of buying cars I have NEVER been asked that question. At this point I said, "Could you just tell me a bottom line payment. I don't want to waste any more of your time or mine." Keep in mind. I have excellent credit. I am not sure who they finance through but she gave me a high interest rate and a crazy monthly price for OVER 6 years. PLEASE before you use this dealership...DO NOT look online. They use the bait and switch. VERY DISHONEST!!
Kathleen and the whole Stokes staff are exactly the kind of employees who inspire lifetime loyalty. I just bought my third car from the same dealership. Next year will be my fourth. I wish I had this kind of relationship with every company in my life.

Bought a 2018 pilot. Nothing but problems after six months into it. Trying to get service done is a JOKE! Scheduled a oil change for 8 am on a weekday and still took almost 5 hours and no the tires wasn t rotated just a oil change. I could have done the oil change and rotated the tires myself at home on the ground less than an hour and half. Now the sunroof stopped working and the master tech doesn t know why. Also the front end has a clicking sound that is similar to a cv shaft pop or transmission issue. So their idea was to replace the whole assembly. Also while troubleshooting the sunroof issue our dash lights stopped working the gauge cluster and radio still worked. They put the car on a lift in the air to hear the cv shaft sound and said they didn t hear anything. The wife heard the sound when she pulled out the parking lot. They had to order the part which we was told takes 5/7 days to get in. So if it was 5/7 business days we waited till it was the 8th one just incase we heard wrong. After no call I called and got transferred around to people that had no clue what was going on. Finally I demanded to be transferred to a director Cleavy I believe his name was which turns out he was home sleeping at 8am on a Friday sick. He blamed all the call issues on their phone system smh. Finally got a call around 3pm on Friday that evening from a guy Jack who says I guess I m you re service adviser. And he doesn t know anything about the part being ordered. He calls me back around 430 and says yes it s here. So we scheduled for the following Thursday which is today. The car has been at Honda all day which we was told it would take all day. A different service advisor called me around 4 today and said we can t hear that sound that you say comes front the front end. Maybe if they would roll the window down or have someone stand next to the car they d hear it or clean their xxxx ears out!! So finally we get a call around six pm from Heather and we couldn t get to the phone fast enough. We called right back as soon as she hung up and got no answer. We ve left numerous voicemails with that number she called from and have continued calling since to the main number. And get transferred around to the phone just keeps ringing and we get tired after about 5 minutes of that. Called the main number again 10 minutes till 9pm and talk to Shelby that answers the phone saying she s service but she can t tell me anything about service on my car. And said James Tucker is with a customer and I can leave a message for him to call you. Never got a phone call and I asked to be transferred to him and I also left him a voicemail. Now all my problems are still happening and now a additional problem has started when driving 30/55 mph the rpms surge up and down causing the car to bounce up and down while driving. It can barley make it over a bridge. I was told by the service department Jack. Who ever he is that it is common and normal for that to happen. Uh no it's not! I work on cars I bought a new one for the wife to not work on and be worried about.
They Lied! I did the appraisal of my vehicle online and they sent me an email back saying they would buy it out right or trade-in. Took my vehicle into dealership and they told me they would only take it as a trade-in and said they would not buy it outright making the sales person a lier.

If you want someone that will look out for you ask for Michelle. I'm looking for a very specific used SUV and she lets me know any time they get an SUV that she thinks I might like. I'm sure the right one will show up eventually and I'm confident that I have THE BEST salesperson there!

Went to Stokes to get the throw out bearing replaced along with a new clutch on my 2001 insight. It was supposed to cost $1100 maximum. After a lot of back and forth and "Honda recommended" repairs, without them even looking in the clutch housing the estimated total was $4500. A new clutch and install is $3200. They even had the nerve to offer junk yard parts for that price. Paid $3400 and it continually slipped out of second gear. Mind you, it had no issues with gears before it went in. Took it back and they wanted to charge me another $2500! Long story short I didn't pay the $2500 after a discussion with the GM. In the end the service agent acted like he was doing me a favor by jacking up the price $2400 with my "military discount" $3400 dollars total cost and it still intermittently slips in reverse and first. I'll won't go back unless my lawyer is present also!
