Service was alright, staffs were friendly but the staff helping me to check in seemed like she was unfamiliar with the procedures, but then again, she looked like she's new. Hygiene and everything else is ok, not fantastic but ok. So w/o the the price of the stay, it is pretty overpriced or overvalued.

Very well located hotel, excellent breakfast, reception staff very attentive and friendly. The concierge speaks Spanish and helps you with any detail and maps. The breakfast is excellent !!!
Park by the Karstadt garage. Is also open 24 hours and costs only 12 euros a day instead of 25 euros and also around the corner. And suitcases then haul through the whole house from the house garage using 2 different elevators.
Had a two day conference here. Staff was nice and attentive, food was good. It's fairly clean but sparsely decorated. They key cards to their rooms hardly ever worked however. Please fix that in the future.
A very pleasant hotel, nicely furnished, friendly staff, comfortable and quiet rooms with quality bathrooms. It's a great place for exploring all of the city, east and west. The circular pool is a bit different and there's a spa too but we didn't try that. There are three things which stopped this getting a full 5 stars. 1) The standard pillows are rubbish and evaporate at the weight of a human head. There is a pillow menu which I discovered after night 2 and requested either of two alternatives. There was nobody available from housekeeping to provide them for night 3 but I was assured they'd be there the next day. They were not. 2) People seemed to be using the sauna nude. There was no sign to say this couldn't happen, but I'd rather assume it's something which would be warned about beforehand if it's happening. 3) In the pool area people had their mobiles out constantly which seemed both a potential electrocution hazard but also a privacy issue. Mobiles usually should not be allowed near swimming pools and generally aren't in my experience. Beyond those points I would certainly stay here again. It's convenient for public transport and for shopping (especially KaDeWe).
The hotel is definitely worth a recommendation. The staff was very friendly, the room was great. At the breakfast there was a lot of choice and the service was always there and has refilled. Underground, S-Bahn and bus are within a few minutes walk.
For a 5 star hotel, I am very disappointed. I get better breakfast in a 3 star hotel. Really a cheek. The first and the last time in this hotel. That's why there are only 2 stars for me.
The good first the reception staff is friendly and tries to solve any problems. But now: Gardiene broken, windows badly isolated (loud), partly not well cleaned (bathtub), own returnable bottles were simply taken by the cleaning staff, mattress completely worn out with fat Kuhlen, TV no HD and bad reception, walls dirty, air conditioning without end, toilet flushes difficult to go before you have to go to the gym to be able to pull off, toilet flush has deducted only every third time, light switch for the bathroom defeck. Completely overpriced (even if any Marrathon was) we stayed for 2 nights WITHOUT breakfast 426.61 !!!, door frames broken, bathroom very small.
Nice hotel but not the most professional staff. We woke up early for the breakfast, so we wouldnt have all the noise and could read the paper while having a coffee, but for our surprise that s not what happened...while we were the only guests, there were at least 5 members of the staff laughing and chatting very loudly close by and did not care if we were there or not.
We had a nice and especially clean room. The staff was always friendly. Price performance ratio for the location is quite okay. There could be more choice at the breakfast buffet.
Somewhat older hotel with friendly staff, very good cake, unfortunately annoying room service, although the "Do not disturb" at the door is simply enters or knocking penetrating. The pool is small and often the pool area crowded.
Hello everyone! The friendliness and the breakfast are more for six, because for five stars. Everything was great and many a luxury hotel in the shade! The room is borderline for a Steigenberger. TV has a picture similar to my first SW TV early 80s. No trash in the room, doors of the closet do not close, door handle bathroom wobbles. The coronation is the unaltered cup with the toothbrushes. I think that there is still room for improvement at the points described at the beginning, the hotel is pretty close to the best.
Lovely rooms, great service and incredible breakfasts. Couldn't ask for more except that the WiFi signal is rather slow (it's quicker to use data if you can).
Hotel is great, rooms and beds very comfortable, all praise staff. I did not see a stupid breakfast anywhere. The hotel's location is great, close to the city center and yet in a quiet street.
Clean and nice room. Friendly and very helpful staff. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired and every wish was fulfilled. Very successful stay.
A great reception at the front desk, the room was ready all round very good and professional service. The location is good and with U and S Bahn and line 100 the whole city is easily accessible. Big compliment to the whole hotel. Especially a memorable gift for my husband's birthday a luxurious breakfast in a beautiful room as well as a cake with a candle in the room. Exceptional service in a very busy hotel. Big praise and thank you
A nice centrally located hotel room with very friendly service staff, extremely comfortable beds and a wonderful spa area. Especially remembered are the infusions of Michael Schlicht, who are also special in the 5-star range. Less convincing, although no cause for serious criticism, was the room service, in which little things like folded sleepwear with bedding are missing. In the bathroom I would have liked cotton swabs. Overall, a wonderfully relaxing stay. Single problem of our room: a difficult one-hand mixer tap on the sink.
Very good location, the staff is very friendly. Beautiful spa area, nice rooms with comfort and the Berlin Card allows the use of local transport, just great.
We thought that the name Steigenberger speaks for itself and this time we have decided against our family hotel. From a non-searchable reservation when registering for a night characterized by noise and noise and a breakfast for the required amount is a joke to complete incomprehension of the staff on departure was really everything. For us, from now on, Steigenberger No thanks!
Got the hotel for me and my family at a great price. Positive: staff very friendly and helpful, close to KuDamm, own small swimming pool, sauna, and rooms big enough. Okay: breakfast. Negative: Hotel overall a bit dark and older. In the square in front of the hotel, drugs are sold late in the evening and at night, not great with children. There are definitely strange characters hanging around there. Parking was only possible across the street in the Karstadt multi-storey car park. For the price, the hotel was okay, but I would prefer other hotels in the future.
That was positive: - The hotel is in a good location, - The staff is very friendly, - the rooms were always clean
That bothered me: - The entire facility is getting on in years (interior and exterior facade), therefore - The furniture in particular has some quirks and seems to come from the 90s. - If you get the wrong room all you get is a free instant coffee. (Taste = insufficient). In a 5-star hotel, I expect higher quality coffee (capsule machine ?!)
What can I not judge: - I did not eat in the hotel and did not visit the spa area.
Conclusion: The visit was okay, but I wouldn't book the hotel again!
Beautiful facility, very clean and good breakfast. Not bad bar service. Pushy staff to plans that sometimes entered the room without knocking. Necessary shut inside with the latch.
Had a pleasant stay here for few days. Service is great, and room service was damn fast. They have nice SPA zone with small pool and sauna. Very nice location. But still can't give it 5 stars, it doesn't feel as 5 stars for me. Room space are too small for that price.
Centrally located, easily accessible, surrounded by shopping area. Reception can take a while before you will be adhered to. The rooms are clean. Beds very relaxing. Breakfast is an asset, with different options presented and freshly baked or cooked. Staff are friendly and helpful. Concierge really lovely, just makes you feel welcomed. Early check-in or late checkout are charged extra!!!
One of the three existing key cards was stolen from the slot for the room power in the absence. At the front desk they thought it was a mistake by the room service, although the card was not returned by the front desk service. This suggests that an anonymous access to the hotel room was intentionally kept open for who knows what ... An offer to quickly recode the lock and the cards that were still available would have provided more security. It was noticeable that a few hours after the card was stolen, a hotel employee knocked on the door without giving any verbal identification. When opening the door, he asked if there were all the tea bags and coffee available - and yes, everything was filled up to the right amount by room service a few hours ago. If the employee wanted to add something, why didn't he have any material with him? Very suspicious...
The pool cannot be used for days due to a defective cable. Alternative pool was offered, but in a distant hotel. Before the arrival was well informed, but the information about the current unusable pool was missing - a shame, the bathing suit could have been left at home.
The bed and pillows are very comfortable, but the top of the mattress has an almost 10 cm large, dark stain visible through the sheets in the middle. I wanted to spare me the disgust and didn't inspect it further to see if it might be blood ...
We are in room 622 until August 14, 2019 and hope to find a solution to the problems described above.
Getting out of the higher bathroom turns out to be risky, because there is no proper way to hold on and the floor is very slippery because almost half of it inevitably gets wet from splashing water due to the design.
The window is nice and large, but stiff and can sometimes only be brought into the tilt position by pressing it.
The staff at breakfast are always friendly and apologize for mistakes. But when you fill a table, they pass by several times without offering coffee. Only when you draw attention to yourself will you be served. The selection and quality of the breakfast buffet are good.
Air conditioning works well. The hallway on the floor is clean and odorless. The room itself is also clean and without odors, but you are greeted by sewer gases every time you enter, which is technical (gurgling drainage, ineffective pipe ventilation) and does not smell penetrative.
Hotel is well located, actually quiet, but due to the environment there is occasional noise disturbance from night owls and posers on the streets at night, which makes you wake up - even on the top floor. But at least that's not what the hotel can do for that.
Very nice hotel. Staff friendly and professional. Breakfast is excellent with wide selection. Rooms are good but not great. Bed is hard. Swimming pool is round and rather small.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness is very important and the room is very nice. I would like to come back here. The breakfast has something for everyone. I felt very well.
Room ok, could do with a little polish. Breakfast great except for the coffee. Service good. Weekend guests are just not the regular clientele you usually live on. You can tell. But overall satisfied.
Top hotel as the reputation promises. The service is absolutely great from front to back. In walking distance to Ku'damm and the zoo. The area also has a lot to offer in terms of shopping and culinary delights. The double bed is not even a queen size, which is why there is a two star deduction.
From the outside, the 70s hotel looks inconspicuous, but inside everything is true 5-star standard. Modern lobby and chic rooms with comfortable beds and a large TV. The staff was great and the view from the room of the park was wonderful.
