Steigenberger Aqua Magic Resort Review

Very bad service, the staff are reduced to a minimum. The same people work at reception and as bartenders. You have to wait forever everywhere. The rooms are only properly tidied up against a tip. Despite the tip, the shower partition was completely dirty with us. The stretch of beach that belongs to the hotel is simply terrible.

Everything is really done here so that the guests feel comfortable.
Our WiFi problem in the room was also resolved very quickly.

The hotel is good, large, and, importantly, the guest's opinion is appreciated here.
Of the main advantages:
- excellent service and staff willingness to fulfill your requests;
- cleanliness - cleaned often and well;
- swimming pools - there are a lot of them here, and in winter many of them are heated;
- the second line for me personally became a plus - a couple of hundred meters to the beach along the beautiful territory of a beautiful hotel of the same chain is not a problem, but a pleasure;
- once again about the feedback - on the second day we were contacted by guest relations - pleasant Olga asked if we liked everything, carefully clarified all our wishes about the cuisine - and on the same evening passed them on to the chef, who was also interested, what we like and what we don't. It is pleasant and captivating - the main thing in the service sector is the dialogue between the guest and the administration.
Minuses:
- as elsewhere in Egypt, you need to be prepared for plastic vegetables and the specific taste of food. But on the 4th day I got used to it and a lot was delicious to me! The food selection is large, but few fish. And at the end of breakfasts and dinners, some of the services took on an unpresentable look. By the way, you can compensate for your gastronomic preferences in a la carte restaurants (3 free - once and 3 more - you can visit for money);
- old room stock in standards - but this is a very tight minus - just take a deluxe or a suite - and you will be happy);
- I would add more show programs to the lobby - in the evenings I want to listen to music - ideally live, but it happens infrequently. And somehow the performers do not "catch";
But in general I want to say that the hotel is good, here they really try for guests, so I recommend it.

Nothing special. Completely crowded and many annoying children. The food is more like a 3 star hotel. The hotel beach is the worst I have ever seen in Egypt. With Steigenberger this hotel has nothing to do.

A great hotel for a family vacation. Great service and good food, v. A. in the a la carte restaurants. Our room (Family Junior Suite) consisted of children's and parents' bedroom. Unfortunately, there was only access from the nursery to the balcony. Otherwise top.

Every time was a very nice stay. Very child friendly.

And again, for the third time, the whole family (four people) rested in this hotel from 10/01/19 to 10/14/19.
To be honest, we were disappointed, but now everything is in order.
Room cleaning: cleaning was carried out superficially and without enthusiasm, the balcony, as it was from the first day, was soiled with birds, remained so until the last day, the room was designed and booked for four people, but there were two slippers and dressing gowns, slippers were delivered at the request.
Beach: here we were pleasantly surprised, the new sun loungers, umbrellas and the renovation of the cafe were pleasantly pleased, but there are a couple of remarks: if you are starting to renovate the beach, why not get more sand, and improve the entrance to the sea from the beach of the Aldau hotel there are a lot of stones and the entrance is inconvenient.
Internet: the free Internet you declared on the territory of the reception is completely absent, and the one that is does not meet any requirements, and this is a big minus.
Cuisine: this was the biggest disappointment, the cuisine is monotonous and not tasty, the choice was much more expensive. Even our favorite restaurant Palapa sent its positions and this is very sad. Why don't you create a menu for two weeks, then the dishes will not be repeated. The lack of a sea of food is upsetting, but what was, it looks like some kind of porridge rather than fish. For two weeks, we ate fish once in a restaurant near the children's water park.
Conclusion: I do not recommend this hotel to people who are determined to be in the center of events (the Internet) and those who expect to eat seafood (once a week you can eat seafood on the beach for a fee), in general, you honestly earned three stars and this is sad, you need to do something. We are iced with our youngest and of course have been looking for something for families. And from the first day we were very satisfied. The staff is invariably friendly and helpful. The entertainment for children and adults is different every day. The pool landscapes and the whole area are very well maintained. The food as a buffet is under a different theme every day. The selection of hot and cold dishes is more than necessary but of course great. And the dessert is a dream!

We liked it very much. It is a nice big and clean area. The food was plentiful and varied. To the beach but you need more than 5 minutes. The only one can only complain that the balcony doors have no screens, as you have to do with the mosquitoes.

Great hotel for families! There are three smears! 1. During the holidays, this hotel is sometimes so full! That the guests without umbrellas have to lie in the blazing sun! 2. There are already before 6 o'clock chairs occupied! So at 8 o'clock it is impossible to get a great place at the pool with children! 3. The people have to wait for food in front of the restaurant, because no tables are free! The one stuffs the hotel so full without the necessary capacity to have I find impossible! And it's all about money again! We thought that a Steigenberger would not have needed! Aqua Magic does not return during the holidays! In the low season determines super relaxed! Mixed audience all represented!

Have been there for the second time this year! Very nice facility and the food is also very good. The rooms are spacious and clean. My daughter and I felt very well. Also the evening program in the courtyard with the shops is good. Come back next Easter!

A good hotel with great food. The Aqua Magic is a family hotel. Depending on the season many children and thus lively. In the rooms to the interior it can be quite loud. A short walk through the sister hotel opposite one comes to the private beach belonging to the hotel. Everything was very well maintained. The sister hotel is an adult hotel. So much quieter.

Only 3 stars. Standards of the rooms definitely not for 5 stars hotel. Rooms requires some renovation already. Poor wifi reception on public areas and wifi extremely slow in rooms. Limited amount of devices you can connect to network, only 3 devices per two rooms. For each device extra you have to pay extra. This should not take place in 5 stars hotel. Variety of served food below average. Quality of food OK but nothing extraordinary. Hotel staff in general friendly, but during meals peak hours in restaurants not able to manage and serve quickly, because not sufficient number of personel.
I heard this is one of the best quality hotels around here but I cannot feel that specially if you have comparison with other hotels in countries like for an example Turkey. I would say it is 3 stars not 5 as per Turkey standards.

We have WiFi only in the lobby close to the reception and in the rooom in 5 star hotel, that is unacceptable in 21. century. Beach is 500m from the hotel and you have only one golf vehicle with 5 seats for transport to the beach

Out of expectations, service and quality exceed the price

By far the best holiday we've stayed at on our 6 visits to Egypt. Kids club runs from 9-1 & 2-5. My kids absolutely loved it. They even got taken to the beach! Rooms were spotless and all the staff were amazing. The best bit is the rooftop pool, very relaxing with great service.

Absolutely okay all-inclusive hotel where you can book tables at a la carte restaurants with good food and good service some evenings. Last night, for some strange reason, we did not get much service and when we told about the food that never came in, we were served inadequately cooked food.
Five out of seven in the party also had stomach problems after half a week!

Great holiday hotel with huge pool area and rich five water slides, small private beach for snorkeling about 200 away. The Egyptian food takes some getting used to, but also gives European food, for which you sometimes have to queue. Every day a show (sometimes better, sometimes boring). There are deductions for organizational deficiencies - often one department does not know what they have reserved for the other.

Great hotel in general. Great to switch off! But to the waiters, Abel knows within 2 hours how he desires the heart of every hotel guest. Super attentive, you don't have to wait long for the drinks & the friendliness is anything but played. If there is a head waiter, it should be Abel.

Clean, beautiful, caring, helpful and demanding staff

It is a huge area in which we felt really comfortable. We can not quite confirm the partly highly praised food. Here are several places where you get fresh hot food would be helpful, so you get your food warm to the table. Absolutely great are the retaurants you have to reserve, and are included in the price. The beach section is unfortunately too small for this hotel. Animations are really good and are not run by the animation team but by booked groups. Weather, rooms, staff everything super. The "street party" was the blast, in a positive sense! Negative is also the scarcity of the beach chairs at the pools, but it is always tried if you need help.
To the waiter of the month, we propose Mohammed El Gawad and hope our praise penetrates to the management. He was always friendly, fast and in a good mood and we were served great.

One speaks there for the most part German, and in the shops one everywhere with euro payable. As tipping one should use US dollar, since it gives the employees no possibility to change the EU coins.

Air conditioning always worked. Fortunately, sometimes over 40 degrees in the shade. Due to the constant, pleasant wind that was not a problem.

when we arrived they give us the room not cleaned from the guests before us, i found hair on the floor & on the sheets, there were dust everywhere, the bathroom not clean( which is something groos). when i complained the supervisor,who is a good person, made them clean the room again but also they have a problem in cleaning, they are not changing the sheets everyday even if i ask for. My baby bed 's sheet didnt change through out my whole stay.
The pictures of the rooms on booking were not like the reality, it's a little poor. The housekeeping didnt want to put shampoo and shower gel, although it is finished unless you asked for. They must serve fresh juices. On the other hand, pools and beach were good, the food also was good and you have a variety in it.

The hotel was good. The room was big enough for 4 people. The swimming pool was clean but the food was bad the taste of the food was bad. The Schow was a bit good. But with the rooms the floor was not clean enough. The hotel was generally good.

Very nice hotel with a huge pool area, slides, animation, relaxation area, children's pool with a large pirate ship and a long flow channel for relaxing. With the lighting in the evening, the pool area looks really magical.

The food is ok. Not a huge selection but always something delicious.
The soda drinking water smells and tastes a bit like plastic. In the restaurant it is better to use water without sparkling water, from the bottle.

And, as is unfortunately common in Egypt, you should keep your hands off ice cubes here. Otherwise there is a risk of a season ticket in the toilet :(

Unfortunately, snorkeling on its own beach, 5 minutes' walk away, is not particularly worthwhile due to the lack of a reef. It's better in other hotels. Therefore "only" 4 stars.

The Wi-Fi is very bad although it should be a 5 star hotel as the bathroom is very nice but full of hair from strangers.
