Steigenberger Aqua Magic Resort Review

Very nice hotel for family with kids, clean and safe.

The aqua park isnt always open, the main restaurant is absolutely horrible unless you go to other ones (you'll have to book first in the reception) the Italian restaurant is rlly great, for the room service it takes them forever to get your room ready.

Very nice hotel great for families. Unfortunately, the joints in the bathroom were gray and not so clean. Think who would make it new would be nicer again. Air conditioning in the room smells damp. But otherwise ok. The food was really good, huge buffet because everyone had something to eat.

The only negative point is the volume of the hallways. The doors offer zero soundproofing

The food was not a hit. In addition, there is no beverage service at the table when eating.

Super nice staff. Food is delicious especially in the theme restaurants here you can choose between oriental or Italian food. The main restaurant is unfortunately a bit noisy and rather crowded. But even here the food is great. There are different theme buffets every evening. Especially to be recommended the lobby bar. The waiters are great! The only thing I personally did not like is the beach. Our room was always clean but a bit old.

For families and children the perfect hotel. Food is amazing, huge selection, fresh and something for everyone.

The hotel is pretty neat. Be careful with the food here, they are not accurate and before you know it you will be ill. Deliciously varied, with a different theme every evening. Swimming pool is nice and tidy with many activities that the nice animation team offers. If you want to see coral don't go here. Everything for the beach is broken and nothing can be seen from the beach. Makadi-bay 20km South or somabay 30km South. These are the top locations for snorkeling and diving. The hotels there are also newer and therefore neater.
Entrance was bad reception. Little explanation and immediately nagging about tips. If you don't give that then you end up in the back rooms without a view. After we requested a different room the second day, we got it immediately from another friendly receptionist. The manager later personally assured us that this will not happen again.
In short: staff generally very friendly.
Swimming pool and hotel neat. (Rooms are getting a bit older)
Eat alternately, but watch out for getting sick. (We had been ill with 6, 3 of them)
Beach is beautiful but coral in front of the beach is totally destroyed.

Stayed in this hotel for a week, and it's the best five star hotel I have stayed in. The bedrooms were so comfy and clean. All the staff were so approachable and looked after us so well, all the staff in restaurant especially Adel. The night manager was really good as well as the assistant manager. All the staff at the bar were very friendly. Can't wait to go back to the hotel for another stay soon. Only problem is that there are people in yellow shirts who do professional photos who are not part of hotel but you need to watch out for them as they will try ripping you off.

What a wonderful hotel, it is very attractive and has a special nature, as the hotel lobby is designed with a very beautiful design, and also the hotel visitors are considered to be of the highest degree, it is a tourist destination of the first class for all different nationalities of the world, and also the hotel's team is very polite, respectful and good for the treatment of guests as it is considered One of my favorite hotels and I hope to visit him, God willing, in the near future ...

Very clean, mostly great customer service with the exception of Medhat at flavours he was out of it a little bit. Ahmed Sabry the reception supervisor was awesome he offered us a late checkout we however had to leave early for our trip back. Very clean pool and beach. I witnessed the thorough pool cleaning nightly. The international buffet "flavours" had lots of food although not varied enough. Restaurants in general were prompt to close but were not fully ready at opening times specially "Seasons" were Tamer politely told me it will be 5 more minutes everytime. To get to the beach we had to cross the Tourist Walkway were Esam and Gamal greated us with smiles and drove us to the beach in the golf carts for some reason the hotel was only using one of the 2 golf carts they owned the wait was 10 to 15 mins. Overall great experience and we will definitely come back and Thanks for all the hospitable servers and staff.

Very friendly and cheerful staff. Despite heat, long workday and stress because the hotel was booked always a smile with really every employee. Everything very clean and well-kept. Very nice rooms with great beds with very good mattresses. Great variety in the choice of food. Gym with new modern appliances and air conditioning. The staff speaks several languages so that you always answered his questions without any difficulty in any language. The typical lying problem there is also there, (no mistake from the hotel but from the guests !!!!) There are all the staff very hard at the pool and on the beach a beach chair to organize, so just nice to the staff and therefore completely in Order. Roof terrace is great. The a la carte restaurants are great. Also for children to experience a lot the pirate ship was a highlight. Billiards and table football can be played for free. Fully deserved 5 stars. Thank you for the relaxing holiday.

One of the best hotels in Hurghada, and we have visited almost all of them.

Room service response time is relaxed and delayed services
Services are not managed well so for limited capacity area first come take it once ,twice ,third ,...etc and second have to wait forever until first is getting bored

this was my third time their ...the hotel still holding same quality of serivce from my last trip & that what i expacted from a big name like steigenberger .. the only thing that i didn't like was that the hotel start to give low promotion for egyptians whom don't know how to act or behave in hotels in general, seeing people go to pool wear their underwear or even women with their (neqab) in the sea ... the view was not a pleasent..i hope the hotel change that policy & keep the standerd guests only to book in.

Astonishing 5 star hotel...suites families mainly..great staff especially MONICA the receptionist..nice location...tasty food...clean and spacious rooms..great aqua park ..a very nice animation team and daily night shows .nothing to add more for the time being..

All inclusive and the waiters are good at seeing when you are missing something. The place is designed to make you relax. Absolutely amazing!

The steigenberger aqua magic is a huge resort, approximately 700 rooms. During our stay the resort was fully booked. The staff is incapable to handle so many people .
As consequences of this there were queue at the main restaurant, dirty plates almost everywhere we had to wait to get a table.
On top of this, there was a very bad habit, some guests used to wake up early in the morning and occupied a place with towels or even worse to tip staff at the beach and at the pool to get a bed and an umbrella "reserved"
We have complained about this a couple of time but the problem was unsolved.
Thus was IMPOSSIBLE to find a sun bed and an umbrella after eight o'clock in the morning not at the pools not at the beach. Never again in this resort. If you want to relax this is for sure not the right resort for you. Unrecommended !

SUITABLE FOR FAMILY ACCOMMODATION, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN'S ENVIRONMENT ENVIRONMENT. THE FOOD QUALITY MAY BE BETTER.

Great hotel! Big nice, clean rooms. Friendly service, nice beach, great attraction for children, ship with slides in the pool, music by the main pool and on the beach. Good food and alcohol, great drinks! Cool and interesting pools. I would recommend !!!

Absolutely brilliant hotel, which is ideal for families.

Great and very attentive staff, where nothing to be desired.

The complex is very nice and versatile.

There are numerous pools and a wonderful private beach, which you can reach via the sister hotel opposite (there is also a shuttle service).

In the hotel as well as on the adjoining road there are numerous shopping possibilities.

The food is very varied and especially for children there is always something to eat, to the many other snacks you can eat everywhere.

In addition, there are also a few theme restaurants, which you can also use 1-3x for free (different).

The rooms are also very spacious, clean and have air conditioning, fridge, hair dryer etc.

Since the airport is only 5-10 minutes away, so the arrival or departure is done pretty quickly.

Food is rather disappointing. Hopefully this will change after our announcement to the Tui crew

Place more than wonderful all the beautiful need and all the workers in Shushin especially Mr. Imad in the Risbashn and rooms clean and eating varied and wonderful I recommend going to him in Hurghada for more comfort and convenience

My husband and I booked this hotel for a vacation after we had an amazing experience in Steigenberger-alcazar in Sharm el Sheikh. We thought that Steinenberger Aqua Magic was the same company and we could expect a similar experience. Oh how wrong we were! The only positive thing that happened from this hotel was the fact that they allowed us to check in early.
I want to start off by saying that we were aware that there may be some cut backs due to being closed for Coronavirus for a few months but what we got was unacceptable by all means.
Our first and biggest issue with this resort was the food. The buffet was absolutely disgusting. Lunch was always left over food from the dinner the day prior and dinner was always undercooked and taste horrible. We were forced to live off soft drinks and fries for our entire 6 day stay. One night we asked to speak to a food services manager. They directed us to the "head chef" that was serving food on the buffet line. He was dripping sweat from head to toe. It was stomach churning to see someone in that manner serving us food. The manager at the reception offered us to eat at the a la carte restaurants for the reminder of our stay. (We are allowed 1 visit to each of the restaurants). Both restaurants were rated about a 4 out of 10. Slightly better than the buffet but still major issues. The silverware and cups were dirty. After trying both restaurants we informed the reception manager which restaurant we would like to eat at for the remainder of our stay as promised. He told us that unfortunately there are no reservations. Back to the buffet it was. That night my husband inquired the gentleman standing at the carving the station that he would like some roast beef ( according to the sign indicating theres roast beef and lamb). The server tells my husband that there is no roast beef and that the sign is there for decoration. He later approached the drinks station where he requested a beer. The server pulled an open can of beer from the fridge to serve from it. Needless to say, we didnt eat much on this trip.

Our next concerns were with the hotel upkeep. The minibar consisted of only water and soda. They even took away our soda cans after 2 days. Housekeeping did nothing in the rooms beyond making the bed. Nothing was cleaned. Even our beach towels were not replaced. Every day we had to call in the morning to request fresh towels. The pharmacy and clinic on site on the third floor had droplets of old dried blood on the floor. The blood was like a trail that stretched from the clinic to the pharmacy.

Lastly, the beach. The servers at the beach were all wonderful except 1 man by the name of "Momen". He was serving an older woman and her husband seated next to us. He went to the beach bar to retrieve their drinks when my husband (also getting us food and drinks) overheard him talking to his colleague. The colleague asked in Arabic "who are these drinks for?" Momen replied in Arabic with " that b**** over there and her family". That is no way to speak about guests.

Weve traveled to many great resorts and have never seen such disgust. We were asked by staff, on a daily basis, how our stay was. We would tell them of the issues we were having and nothing was ever corrected. No one from the staff tried to fix situations to allow us to enjoy our stay. We will never be staying at this hotel again and will never recommend it. If we can, we give it 0 stars.

Had a rest with my husband from March 11, 2019 week. I liked everything very much. Food, service. Smart territory. The room, of course, is not a fountain, but we only came to spend the night. , you need to rest in a good mood. With children we will come only here. Again, thank you so much for a great holiday

Very nice and modern room facilities. The breakfast plentiful and the evening buffet fresh and varied. Service staff was very nice and attentive in all areas. Various pools with enough sun loungers. Great, keep it up !!! "
