Steigenberger Aqua Magic Resort Review

Nice clean hotel, staff friendly. Food was also OK, for Egyptian standards. Arabic food was delicious and at lunchtime we always ate on the beach, was good.

All in all, everything was fine

Together with El Dau beach, make One of the best resorts in the Hurghada

The food was of good quality. The hygiene leaves a lot to be desired.

It's a huge complex where you can have nearly everything you want. Starting from the clinic and the pharmacy to the shops and pools it's a great place to spend your holiday. The personel is eager to help you in order to make you feel like a royalty.

I was in this hotel for the second time, it is a very clean and well-kept hotel. Lots of attractions for children in the form of a slide and a river that you can sail around the entire hotel. The beach is about 500 meters away but a walk on vacation is advisable. Helpful and polite service will help you in every situation. Special thanks to the waiters Ahmed El Said from the main restaurant and to Michael Mahrous who serves guests by the pools. I am convinced that I will come back here again.

Good all inclusive hotel in Egypt .. the food was the best we were ..

Clearly not the usual Steigenberger standard since the name has only been bought - lot of rules for guests and the main restaurant is a catastrophe regarding service and food ..

The positive thing about the hotel is the pirate ship for the children and the pitch and put golf course for the adults.

The food isn't bad, but not very good either. Sometimes the waiters are simply overwhelmed with the rush and the quality of the food is far from European standards.

The rooms are getting on in years and if you look very closely (especially in the bathrooms) you will regret it quickly ... Wiping the floor means distributing the dirt evenly.

The beach is far away, we knew beforehand; whereby the beach is over the top. There is sand, but you will never dream of this beach later.

If you look at the costs you have spent, then you can't expect more. Say little paid, little received; I honestly didn't expect much either.

But what I cannot recommend at all is the beauty salon . That is mass processing and that is exactly what the result is.

Incredibly beautiful and clean resort. Delicious food. And friendly staff! We will definitely come back here!

In the end I found ..... the best hotel in Hurghada .... Delicious food, service A1 rooms spacious and clean ..... I often go to Egypt so many hotels I have visited, this beats all the others .... .. I really recommend wholeheartedly to the dive brothers and to whole families .....

Good location - on the promenade, no coral reef, the beach is very small in relation to the number of guests and there is no separate place for non-smokers, swimming pools in almost all sides are protected by buildings so that it doesn't blow in winter, the water in the pools is nice and warm in winter, food .. . everyone can find something for themselves.

Good but the beach is not good and need more ... need more bars in all the resort .. service is excellent .. the rooms is v. Clean every thing is good except the beach .. and there is no green areas ..

We came for the first time In November 2017 for our honeymoon, we were so well received by the whole team that we decided to go again to the same hotel in December 2019. We once again enjoyed our trip ! We were pleasantly surprised to have been recognized two years later by some members of the team, which proves the real attention paid to tourists. We obviously recommend this hotel. On every trip we favor the Steigenberger chain and are never disappointed to this day! (Next trip to Tunisia always with Steigenberger, hotel Marhaba Thalasso). Good luck to the whole team, and as we say "never 2 without 3" so maybe see you soon;).

Luxury hotel water parks, location, beach, food, everything is excellent

Good for kids. They enjoyed it too much. Nice views from our family suite. Can go without restrictions to the nearby Aldau beach. There are also Golf car ready for transportation through Aldau. A special beatch for guests from magic aqua present there.

The location is very good in Mamsha and 2 minutes far from the airport. Rooms is very nice, it has 5 restaurant and 4 asian restaurant so the variety of food is better than any place. It is the best family hotel in hurghada

We, (my wife 50 years and I 54 years, had a very nice week at Aqua Magic.
The complex is huge, very clean and well maintained.
Here you can find action but also absolute peace.
So there is something for everyone.
The restaurant on the roof is absolutely great and the other two that you can book during your stay also offer excellent food and service.
A small drawback is that, especially in the mornings and evenings in the main restaurant, you often don't know whether the tables are still occupied or whether you can sit down, as clearing things up is very slow and the waiters usually have to be asked about it.
You often have to get drinks yourself.
This can certainly be remedied quickly in the context of employee meetings, but should be standard in the quality class of this hotel and will certainly be heard by the management.
A little tip at the 3 restaurants that you have to pre-order, they offer a very good selection of high-quality wines.
Unfortunately, this can only be purchased as a whole bottle.
This is often quite expensive and not feasible for 2 people during a meal without having to leave the restaurant drunk.
So many guests usually fall back on the house wine, which of course cannot keep up in terms of quality.
We are very sure, if you offered the better qualities than glass or carafe, that sales will increase significantly.
There are now excellent wine closures that close the wine for at least 14 days without any loss of quality and thus keep it drinkable.
Just try it out.

3 star for the bad customer service. We had many incidents happening everyday at our stay in aldaou, we had 2 kids and we came with our in laws and booking agency had reserved a suite for 3 adults and another family room supposedly for 2 adults and 2 children. Their mistake was that they gave my inlaws the aqua magic and gave us the aldaou suite, when we have 2 kids and it was only logical that we get the aqua one since there are more activities for kids in the aqua magic hotel. Yet they refused to place us the way we wanted even though both rooms are as big and they both have enough space for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, this alone made our trip exhausting as we had to keep coming and going from aldaou to aqua for the kids and moreover, since we were placed in aldaou we were not allowed to have lunch with our inlaws because they were not allowed to come to aldaou to eat in the buffet when both buffets are open, makes no sense why it is not allowed. If they had placed us in aqua room our inlaws wouldd have came to have lunch with us since theyre surely lighter than moving around 2 kids. Anyways for short. Thank u for making our trip one hell of a bad experience because of ur bad customer service. The rooms were both paid for so why should u really care if 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids are in the room? I wish ur service was really a more friendlier one. If u are traveling with kids for sure reserve in the aqua magic and do not reserve at aldaou.

Yes, the bathrooms are the real problem, you could do this with a mop.

It is in this hotel exactly as in the pictures. It's beautiful, very kid friendly, the food is delicious, the pools and everything else is really clean, we'll definitely be back

the hotel is a bit old. Unfortunately the rooms were not very clean when we arrived. After a short request, however, the cleaner came and very friendly cleaned all surfaces such as tables, doors, cupboards, etc.
In general, all doors (also in the restaurants) are very dirty and greasy.
In Magig Sky the food was okay, unfortunately we didn't get what we ordered and it was not possible to deal with the unfriendly waiter because he was unwilling to understand us. He was pretty annoyed and ruined our evening a little.
In the Palappa, however, the food was very good and the service in the evening was very polite and very courteous. The food was the culinary highlight of the vacation. The next day at lunchtime the same service was unfortunately unfriendly and we almost all left after almost an hour without eating. The reason was that the new staff in the kitchen would not get anything on the chain.
The pools were ok.
Beach or house reef total disappointment. Everything dead. Not suitable for snorkeling or diving.
Lifeguards were OK and very helpful.
The evening program was very one-sided and boring. Monotonous chants every evening and the fun program for the children was underground.
Conclusion: vacation was ok.
Hotel, service and evening entertainment worn out and boring. Needs improvement.

For package holidays a top hotel. Extremely clean and imaginative, as far as the pool area is concerned. The rooms are well worth a visit. The mattresses were great from sleeping comfort. Likewise, the huge bathrooms with walk-in shower. The mini bar is filled with cola and water daily for free. Of course, all inclusive has many advantages here. Also the coffee and tea are Oki. The rooms are also refilled daily, so you can take a hot drink in the morning at sunrise first. The staff is very friendly and endeavored to the guests. The extremely short transfer from the airport is also pleasant. The hotel is wheelchair accessible in every way. The audience is partly European, Arabic and also some Asians. The food is also mixed and adapted to the clientele. You can also complain about it or accept it. I did not like that much either. But after a short time everyone will find something. The drinks are attractive, especially the cocktails offered. The beer is also appealing. In rush hours, the staff is a bit understaffed. Since you get hold even the drinks. We should not forget that the common staff to the 100 a month earned and lives on the tip of the tip. 10 Egyptian pounds are about 0.5 euros. But for a waiter it feels like 5 . Tipping always does well and opens the hearts of employees even more. It was also interesting that the hotel manager like any other guest in the main restaurant feeds.
The beach is not the ultimate but it is comfortable there. The entertainment program is varied. There are many children here who are well animated. The entertainment program for us adults is especially good in the lobby bar. There every day an artist, singer (in) appeared. High level. The front desk was always friendly, although mostly in stress. What was a bit annoying, that everywhere you get offers, for excursions, massages, etc. But they live off of it and a simple no is enough. I was particularly impressed by the gigantic Christmas decoration. That was a highlight. The sanitary facilities, which are criticized in various forums, are looking for the cleanliness of their peers. In August on Fuerteventura, despite the high standard, it was less clean. There is a staff around the clock in all public toilets here to clean.
The complex itself is well guarded. You go in and out through scanners. But it is not a problem.
Conclusion: According to national category 5 stars earned!

It is best hotel I have visited. I was there for 14 days and had absolutely amazing stay. Would return there immediately but unfortunately the price is bit high for me but definitely worth and I do not regret staying there . Room was amazing we got Enter wanted we could wish for. Many restaurants to choose from where to eat and big choices. My favourite was breakfast. Many pools, lazy rivers and roof pool and golf and beach was cheery on top of cake we had there service that bartender was so kind and bringing people on sun beds water bottles . Only issue we had was receptionist. Some couldn t speak English and the other ones who speak English was very very rude that in one incident we had to call manager to sort the situation out but otherwise had no any issue and had absolutely amazing stay.

Food was more than enough, even as a vegetarian I found enough. Unfortunately, the rooms could be a bit modernized and a bit cleaner. We felt very comfortable. Problems would be rectified immediately and a good solution found for all.

Our 6th visit in 5 years. Still the same magical place it's always been since it opened. Can't wait for the NYE gala. British and very pleased we're here. The standards of this hotel haven't slipped since we 1dt came here. Cleanliness, comfort and friendliness of the staff, remain 2nd to none!!

Loved this hotel, food was good but repetitive as most all inclusive holidays are. Staff amazing, service fabulous private beach and bag great.
