I have never personally stayed here so I cannot speak for the rooms, but the ghost bar is very nice. Cigar smoking is allowed on the patio at night which is nice. Usually they have decent music or a live DJ playing the weekends. I've been here several times and keep coming back for a reason. One time I remember seeing Tony Romo and Jason Witten in the valet, I got starstruck.

Helpful reception staff. The bar area was bustling with guests, but the restaurant was closed off and quiet, even close to dinnertime. Doors were held for us, and there were warm drinks waiting at the entrance. Extremely convenient for a drink or quick bite if going to a game at the arena.

Very lovely hotel. Stayed one night here for a work event. Very clean and beautiful view. Valet parking is $36 per night but I parked in the parking garage over night and it ended up being $30 so there wasn't much of a difference. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant there but some co-workers said it was very nice. Happy with the stay, beds were comfy and clean. Only complaint was the AC was a little loud.

For being so expensive, the rooms are sub-par. They are small. The sheets are well used and lost their softness. The food is a 7/10 (unique choices), and also expensive. The valet staff are WONDERFUL. The pool is beautiful. The lobby is beautiful. If you are staying with others, whoever checks in should expect the bill to be put on their card, no matter what card it was reserved under or any updates made afterward. I would choose the Statler or the Omni 100% over the W.

When you have been to and experienced a W, your expectations are set. However after another amazing stay at a W, this time in Dallas for the first time they exceeded my expectations , which were already high. I woke up for two amazing nights sleep and my tire was flat. The valet walked me to my car to show me, stopping at his car FIRST to grab an air compressor. He pumped my tire up and drove me back to the front to get my bags. He did it so graciously and with a smile and eased my panic figuring out what to do next. He advised me the closet tire shop. SMEH WAS AN AMAZING VALET AND THE W IS AN AMAZING HOTEL FROM THE TOP DOWN!

Location is excellent. Valet was efficient although grossly overpriced. I liked the QR code to request your vehicle, seem less process.

Service wasn t the best trying to give it the benefit of the doubt because of COVID-19
When you call the front desk it is just an endless loop and nobody picks up. I didn t receive my mobile key until the second day of my reservation after I had to remind the staff. Don t place requests on the mobile app. They don t check them. Best bet is to go to the front desk. They are not requiring guests to wear masks in the lobby.

Great hotel, like many other Ws. Recently renovated and right accross from American Airlines Arena so great place to catch a basketball or hockey game. Breakfast is OK and the restaurant options in hotel for dinner are not that great. Other thing to watch for is traffic getting in and out - always terrible if a game is going on across the street.

We had a great time at the W Victory Hotel in Dallas. Dan, the host, made sure everything was perfect for us at all levels. The rest of the staff was very dedicated to good service, including the chef in the Cook Hall Restaurant.
Their happy hour was lots of fun with very tasty appetizers. This is a perfect location for anyone attending an event at American Airlines Event Center. I look forward to our next stay here!

Sooooooo was totally UNDERwhelmed...especially for the price. The location is awesome, but the rooms left much to be desired! As a matter if fact, the first room we were checked into had a funky, dirty odor. We were promptly moved.

Pay for use wi-fi???? Who does that in this day and age??? As if the room alone and valet didn't cost enough (which I happily paid for because while the location is GREAT, parking in that area is NOT!), they charge an additional $15 for the wifi!!! Ummm, the room service food options were lackluster!!! Ordered the peach cobbler....what I received was a bowl of peaches with nasty oatmeal on top...this is TEXAS and THAT ain't no peach cobbler!!

The Omni Dallas is a MUCH cheaper option with a little more to offer if you are looking for a pretentious, che che place to stay in the Uptown/Downtown area. Overall, the visit was not horrible, but it did not live up to expectations.

Upon arrival the location appeared to be great. Valet was nice.
Once inside there were several upset customers for varying reasons, I brushed this off as things happen. As I begin my check in my room was not ready, I had a verified upgrade that I had put the request in almost two weeks earlier. They then acted as if they were doing me a favor or a good deed by giving me the upgraded room I was already charged points for (email verified). After finally getting that sorted out I was told I would need to wait until someone could take me to their room because there key system was down. Once to my room it was spacious but lacked a lot of basic amenities. The fridge didn t work, my bed sheets looked like they had tree bark in them, the first bathroom door looked as if someone vomited and it wasn t all cleaned up.

To be honest I can t find many pros about this hotel besides good location and friendly staff.

Our fridge would not get cold
Bed was hard.
Several tears in there plastic pleather feeling couch.
If you are hoping for good sound protection from the outdoors forget it.
There is one hook in the restroom for your towel. If there are two people staying guess the other persons becomes a floor mat.
I stay at a lot of hotels all around the world and how this deserves a 4-5 star rating is beyond me.

We went for an event and the great room is very pretty. However the bars kept having technical difficulties with the registers, the bartenders were insanely slow so the lines were super long, and the drinks were extremely inconsistent from one bar to the next. Also the bartenders kept on just leaving randomly without letting people in line know. Really odd.

Hello world, I had the pleasure to stay at The W Dallas for two night with my wife while visiting Dallas on business. We had an overall good experience except for the kitchen being closed at night because of the pandemic, no fault of their own. Valet was speedy and polite especially a kid with the name Keith (my late fathers name) whom I only met one night, once we saw him running and dripping sweat with a smile. We went to 7-Eleven and grabbed him some water, told Keith if he ever needed work to give me a call! Thank you W Dallas for the stay also thank you Keith for staying on my mind and suggesting the blackened chicken pasta from Mama Mia s it was delicious!

If I could give it less than 1 star I would!! Worst service and staff I have ever experienced in a hotel !! Waited 3 hrs for the room and then they couldn't find our luggage for another hour because they sent it to the wrong room! And they said they would look into it when they got the chance.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!

I have stayed here quite a few times and have a love for the W-hotel brand in being a Marriott Bonvoy rewards program elite member. The first stay was less than desirable but since the property is under new ownership the hotel has been amazing and has some bright new faces. I stayed at the W this last weekend and was pleasantly greeted by a very welcoming representative named Elizabeth. All I can say is Wow! It started with her amazing customer service skills over the phone when I called to let them know I was going to be checking in late. When I arrived after a long day of travel she pleasantly greeted me and my friend who had been visiting Dallas for the first time. She made several great recommendations of restaurants and attractions within the area that represented Dallas amazingly, given it was my friends first time within the city. After she checked us in she impressed me by another gesture by walking around the front desk to hand me the keys to the room and said if you need anything during your stay please don't hesitate to let me know. This is something I have taught and valued in my years of consulting for owners within luxury real estate developments. She also let me know to look forward to the property being renovated very soon which is exciting news given the strange bathroom / closet privacy issues. The next morning I went down to the resteraunt and had breakfast. The restaurant manager recognizing my status with the Marriott rewards program came over and introduced himself to me. Roberto was a very pleasant person to chat with at the breakfast bar as I was dining alone at the time. The new energy within the property is great and made my stay much more luxurious. I will be back soon! Thank you again to all the staff at the W - Dallas Victory! Kudos to you all in the New Year!

This hotel is amazing. It is right in the center of everything and right across the street from the American Airlines Arena.

The restaurant in this hotel is good. The food is quite expensive and they will not split the check. They also only take cash.

The suites are amazing. We were able to comfortably have 20 people in one suite and the balcony gave a great view of the American Airlines Arena.

Unless you are prepared to be up all night with th...

Unless you are prepared to be up all night with the 20-something party crowd. This is not a hotel, it is a nightclub with a couple of hundred private after-hours clubs attached. My wife and I stayed at the W (half of) one night to have a night on the town and then a good night's sleep away from a 2 month-old baby. We are not 50-something fuddy-duddies, we are fun-loving 30-somethings, but when the fun is over, we need to get some peaceful sleep. I guess that makes us adults.

My wife and I have been to four W hotels (Chicago, Seattle, Honolulu, and now Dallas), and they have all been fun, friendly, hip experiences. The W Victory turns the corner at hip and sophisticated and veers deep into obnoxious and vulgar. The noise level outside our room peaked shortly after 2:00 am, when the club (Ghost Bar) closed, and the party began in our adjoining room. We called management to complain, and our complaints were met with lukewarm promises to "issue warnings". A few calls later, we were connected to the manager on duty, who told us that the loud drunken behavior is to be expected that time of night, and there was really nothing he could do. That's it. Par for the course. Thank you, drive through. Now, to be fair, we were offered a transfer to the Westin hotel, or a change to another room. At 2:30 a.m., neither was a sensible option, so we simply went home.

My years in Daytona Beach, during its peak as a spring break destination, should have prepared me for the spectacular nightclub aftermath that we trudged through on our way out of the hotel. The clientele of the W/Ghostbar behaved no better than thousands of drunken frat boys and bikini babes on a beach screaming vulgarities and puking beer on each other. On the floor of the elevator foyer across from our room, there were strung-out musician types having loud, incoherent whiskey-fueled discussions with a tweaking nymphette... something about about which gospel singers have real chops, black or white? There were vacant-eyed teeny boppers in go-go boots and mini-dresses looking for their friends, long departed. There was what appeared to be a Russian prostitute sitting on the steps in the lobby, crying softly to herself. There were drunken wanna-be hipsters tripping over my rollaboard. There were four police cars across the street, the officers mopping up the remains of some tragedy that I'm sure we will read about in Monday's paper. There was, however, nobody at the front desk to handle our checkout. Even the doorman couldn't believe this.

The question needs to be asked: were the nightlife casualties intruding on our pleasant night's sleep, or had we wandered innocently into their domain, looking for something that was not ever intended to be found? Only the W management team know for sure. If the answer is, in fact, the latter, then for the sake of truth in advertising, the moniker "hotel" needs to go.

Good view from my room here, got to enjoy an incredible lighting show due to a robust thunderstorm. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well kept. The room wasn't large, but size was appropriate for the cost. The front desk staff where very friendly, and helped me find a room that met my ask. An overall good experience!

Fun, funky hotel situated right on top of victory square, just North of Dallas's west end. The Wet deck on the 16th floor had great views, as well as a bar. The spa was closed, but we did take advantage of the workout facility on the 17th floor. What a gym! This is one of the best hotel gyms I've used. They have tons of equipment, both machines and free weights, and lots of cardio equipment. We had a continental breakfast served in the bar area. Rye toast with sliced fruit. The breakfast definitely exceeded expectations. Overall this was a great hotel experience.
