I was highly upset with everything that occurred during the process of staying here! I booked my reservation a week in advance the day of my stay I checked online and notice that my room was changed to a smaller suite and I was still being charged for the lager suite that I booked. The only thing they could tell me is a week ago when I booked my room it was not available then but still on the site and the only thing they can do is charge me the actual price for the room that they decided to put me in because when they change my room the never changed the price . I was NEVER notified of a room change I only noticed when I decided to check my reservation that day. I was highly upset but accepting I did not like how they handled the matter at all I expected so much more from a hotel with such high ratings.
Nice hotel and residences as expected from the W. Only knock is that the bar in the hotel lobby is quite a bit dated and not well kept.
It has a great location in Victory Park, but otherwise, just an average hotel.
I attended a skincare launch event, and it was my first time visiting the W Dallas. The event and venue were elegant and inviting. I loved the views from the 33rd floor, and the wait staff was incredible. It was a very well planned event at a beautiful venue, and I would definitely visit again!
The bar was nice and the staff great. The DJ was a little too loud.
The decor is very chic, and help is everywhere. The people are friendly.
Awesome facilities. The pool was really nice. Really cool view. Recommend getting a membership for unlimited massages
Great hotel. Right across the street from the American Airlines Center...staff great...room great....worth the price. Food is close within walking distance. Will stay again if attending AA Center event.
I booked a room 3 weeks ago and when I arrived my room I booked on the SPG app was not available. They gave it to someone else, great. I had to switch rooms the next day with no offer of compensation.
For some reason, they have no coffee makers in the room. You can "request one" but there were none available during my stay. This is the first time I've ever seen this at a Westin or W property. People need their coffee. I don't want to roll down to the lobby unshowered to grab a brew in the AM, I want to make it in my room at my convenience.
Room service order was wrong and came with no cutlery or napkin. They fixed the order, but still no cutlery lol. Oh man.
Rooms were great otherwise, seems like a management or training issue that I'm not accustomed to seeing at this calibre of hotel.
Very trendy. Fun bar downstairs. Staff is helpful and friendly.
Totally disappointed with this hotel. The room didn't look anything like it did online when I booked it. The "Mega King" room is really small and WAY overpriced. I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and the room that I had at that time was bigger than the room I had this time and it was a REGULAR room, not even a "Mega King". The pool area is a really bad joke with seating for only about 5-6 people and no attendants to assist you in finding more seating or at least a towel. The hotel restaurant also failed to impress by totally bungling my simple salad and hamburger order. This was the most disappointing hotel I have ever stayed at due to the premium price and I will be calling Starwood to let them know how POORLY MANAGED this property is. Needless to say, I won't be coming back nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.
I had my wedding at this beautiful hotel. Great service staff as well.
Excellent location!!! Who can beat it in Dallas? Love their food at "Craft" restaurant and the cool American Airlines Center lit up view!
Our room was very nice and the pool was awesome! Only thing is that the pool closes at sundown which is when it would be the nicest time to enjoy it.
Always an at home feel. Upscale and comforting atomoshere!
Came here for an event on Saturday night, the 33rd was nice, music was louder than expected, drink wait at the bar was a little long but had a good time.
I love this hotel. They never disappoint. From the customer service to the clean, fresh modern rooms, you really can t go wrong!
Didn't get a drink but seems like a cool place to sit at the bar.
Wow! This a one of those finds that you only come across every now and then. The warmth of the staff, the huge rooms and peaceful environment and grounds made for a relaxing weekend!
The hotel is just 10 minutes from downtown Dallas and is situated in a nice area. Try Mi Concina restaurant just half a mile away, it's a great Mexican recommended by the General Manager himself :)
Looking forward to coming back and running a meeting here someday.
Great location for events at American Airlines Center. Great service and good food. Regularly meet semi famous, interesting, and/or nice people.
Love staying here! Everyone is friendly and the attention to detail is seen throughout.
During our two day stay there were several positives however a couple negatives. One negative was the air filter in our room. I have pictures showing a completely black moldy filter. I have severe allergies and could not breathe for 2 nights! I'm sorry but when you pay $1000 for 2 nights that is not acceptable. Second negative were the incorrect charges to our cc's for room service. On one $28 bill they charged us $42. When I showed them the receipt they said they would look into it and email us. Customer service could have been better on those few things.
Amazing suite with views. Great restaurant and bar downstairs. Will be back.
Nice ambiance, great staff, lovely people, wonderful environment for social gatherings
Had a great event here. Would recommend everyone to check it out, staff couldn't be more perfect! 5 stars for sure!
Hands-down the BEST hotel stay/experience!!! The room, lobby, pool was all top notch. Can't wait to come back for our next Dallas trip!!!
Extremely nice modern atmosphere. The bartender was friendly laid back and very cool. The drinks were awesome. I recommend the champagne mojito.
One of the nicest hotel I've ever attended a conference at. The space and the food are exceptional. Well worth the money to hold a conference or social event here.
Started out a little rough. The front desk attendant didn't look up from the computer once while we were checking in. We got to our room and it wasn't what we requested. I called down to the front desk to explain. They sent someone up with new room keys for the presidential suite! What great customer service. Our 2 night stay was outstanding!
Great place extremely friendly staff just a little overpriced. Super convenient when I m going to party in the downtown area with my friends it s always nice to have drinks and crash out without having to drive back to Fort Worth where I live
They treated the guests at the W terribly. If you were not in the residences they would not open the door. The outside of the building was filthy and staff very rude
Great staff, awesome pool, and nice but strangely decorated rooms
Was a very nice venue for my prom. Overall looked amazing. Has a very impressive view of the rest of downtown Dallas. The food provided was also good(not exactly sure if it was W provided though).
Very nice and modern rooms. Was a little disappointed with the food for in room dining. I was able to get a wonderful facial. Spa staff was amazing. Wished the spa facility had more going for it.
Blah. Corporation branded hotel that use to be the go to spot supposedly but not great now. We paid for a suite ; it was bland, depressing, wait staff are going with the flow And unconcerned . Bathroom space is cheap. Not worth the pay for the stay. Skip it
Had problems changing my SPG email. Room temperature too hot or two cold. Not a fan of the curtain separator. Awesome pool, though.
Nice hotel. The lobby is really trendy and the staff are friendly. They gave me a room with two queen instead of the one king room I booked. Restaurant downstairs is good but very pricey. two things that stand out the most are the gym and pool. The pool area is beautiful and the gym is huge for a hotel fitness center.
The Inspiration Band! loves performing at The W Dallas ... AWESOME space.
Room was decent.. no seperate bathroom, when my husband took a shower the whole room was steamed up and miserably hot. Otherwise it suited our overnight needs
What a great hotel! Our room was flat out luxurious. The decor was modern in the room as well as all the public spaces. The roof top pool with the almost panoramic view was great. It was a little brisk out but the water was heated. Close to everything cool and across the street from victory park.
Don't go by when they say what ever when ever. They don't keep their word. All I asked for was halal food from a familiar resturant. We were a group of 80 people from a big company and they couldn't accommodate my single need. Sad but they will not be getting my business. Small luxury hotel like Allegra in Chicago was able to go above and beyond for me. This company is no way luxury.
Hello world, I had the pleasure to stay at The W Dallas for two night with my wife while visiting Dallas on business. We had an overall good experience except for the kitchen being closed at night because of the pandemic, no fault of their own. Valet was speedy and polite especially a kid with the name Keith (my late fathers name) whom I only met one night, once we saw him running and dripping sweat with a smile. We went to 7-Eleven and grabbed him some water, told Keith if he ever needed work to give me a call! Thank you W Dallas for the stay also thank you Keith for staying on my mind and suggesting the blackened chicken pasta from Mama Mia s it was delicious!
Bait and switch on resident rate
booked several weeks ago. Standard rate was advertised at $279, website also shows 15% discount off best available rate for residence.
Instructed to call 800 number, during which I confirmed all the details and booked.
Shame on me for not reading the confirmation email. The email I was sent stated the $279 was the discounted rate.
When I called to correct Amber attempted to help. She did not have the authority to do so. Josh, her boss did but was nothing but argumentative and clearly had no desire to make it right.
He kept stating that their policy is for the discount to be applied against their "rate of the day". That is not how the advert reads nor is that anywhere on their website but still refused to make it right
What he did offer me was the resident discount off the CURRENT rate, as if I was booking that day which was still $20+ more per night than was orginally offered and agreed up.
Great hotel, but horrible service. Got the impression they didnt care one bit. Lots of other places to spend our money... Only reason I got so upset is this was for our anniversary (we also spent our honeymoom there before), and my wife loves the place.
Now I have to tell her our trip is off 3 days away... even told them as much, all I got was the same flippant responses.
We decided to sit in the patio, but they don't turn off the music there so you really can't enjoy the music the dj is playing, it's just a cluster.. Other than that the place is small and cozy, looks nice and the drinks were ok.
The W is a great place to stay for whatever the occasion may be. Whether it be celebrating a birthday, going to an event at the AAC, or prepping for a night in Uptown. The valet ($20) and reception is courteous and the rooms offer a great view if you request a higher room. Rooms are always clean and have many amenities. I've enjoyed a stay here several times and would recommend it to anyone!
Everything you'd expect from the W. Incredible staff, great spa, nice views. We love staying here when we come to Dallas.
Great service all the way around. Couldn't ask for a better visit and will recommend to my friends and family.
The hotel is a typical W but the parking situation is terrible. Your only two options are to valet or park in a city garage which will be full during events at the American Airlines center. Traffic getting to the hotel will also be a pain during events, so check the calendar.
We also had an issue with the water temperature while we were there. We struggled with getting it to moderate. It was either scalding hot or ice cold, neither of which makes for a comfortable shower. I asked them to look at the issue, but all they did was check to make sure the max and min temperatures were in the acceptable range.
The staff overall was very nice and you do have access to the Bliss spa while staying there.
Went to the W for a work event. Very nicely decorated and modern. However, the rooms I saw were meeting rooms and the former Ghost Bar, so I can't speak to the guest rooms at all.
Great hotel. Not what you would expect from Marriott, but a really nice place. The staff everywhere was always ready to help. It is in a crowded location next to arena so expect traffic. I will stay here again.
Very nice rooms, staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool has a nice view of the city.
The staff was fabulous!!!!! We were treated as if we were family.
Staying at the W in Dallas from 4/17 through 4/20 in a double queen on the 12th floor. Service was absolutely wonderful from attentive staff opening and closing the doors to front desk asking all the routine SPG questions. Rooms were very clean and modern with a nice location...a few minutes from the office.
The NOH8 Photoshoot was held in a conference room at this hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the place is upscale and simple to find. I will be making reservations in the future.
