Marriott International - Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel Review

Though I have never stayed at the hotel, I have attended shows in the convention center and I have eaten at Sam & Harry's steakhouse. The food is excellent; highly recommended. But it is pricey, so I was happy that both times I ate there, it was a company event.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and professional. Nice rooms and love the coffee bar/snack shop they have on the second floor!

One of the best hotel I have been to. I spent night out with friends, requested connecting rooms and request granted. Justin in the reception was very helpful and kind. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

Attended a multi day conference here. Great staff, great facilities, and a great experience all around.

I came here to watch my niece in a cheerleading competition. Staff was kind and helpful and they kept the place clean which is no easy task with that many young girls.

Went there for a comvention called Adepticon. Parking was an issue along with Hotel space. But the biggest let down of all was no free wifi.

Visit was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

As soon as I arrived they asked if I wanted to upgrade to a double room instead of the single king, without charging extra. They also were helpful when I had forgotten a couple items.

I was given a room for the program, but there wasn't a map, just a listing of rooms on the floor, at the entrance. There was a room change, but no way to know this before walking into the wrong room first. Thankfully, it was just being set up. There was no listing at the entrance of who was in which room.

Very nice hotel. Better than average but a little pricey but worth it.

Plenty of space for a large convention event, and getting to the location and parking was easy, without the need to walk very far.

Great place with easy access from expressway. Clean, great ambience and spacious indoors. Problems: No free wifi access. Parking limited when multiple events on same day.

Lots of convention space but many of the larger rooms were dimly lit. The main hall was well lit however. Everything was well kept and the staff was friendly and professional. There are mainly places to eat within five minutes of the hall. Parking is rather limited for larger shows.

The convention center was great but parking for the event was awful. More parking is needed for an event that popular.

Great facility for a professional conference. Meeting and expo space was great. Hotel rooms were nice, modern, and comfortable. Dining options on site are limited but plenty of great choices nearby.

Very expensive for drinks and food and parking is a nightmare

Always very clean and comfortable. I have stayed here probably ten or eleven separate times now and I haven't had complaints yet

Upscale clean rooms. A great hotel if you like fancy places.

Large convention space was well organized for the gem show. Parking was cut throat!

Great rooms. Huge hotel. Breakfast and water could be free. Will repeat.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool area was clean. Loved how there were two "deep ends" of the pool! Lobby was inviting. All the staff I encountered were helpful and pleasant. Room 1232 had an extremely loud closing bathroom door.

The convention center is great. Gigantic convention hall means you don't have to wander through hallways to get to various booths. Even when you do have to leave the main hall for something, the place is laid out logically so you don't have follow twists and turns to get anywhere. My only gripe is the parking! Not nearly enough parking out front and parking in the back means a VERY long walk around the building to get to an open door.

We had a great stay celebrating our anniversary, the staff was wonderful and the hotel itself is great. Both folks we worked with while checking in/out were great, wonderful job Dominick and Manny!

The hotel was great. However, my family had booked two rooms ahesd of time and they wouldn't let us have rooms on the same floor even though we let them know way in advance.

Nice convention center with a decent hotel attached. It's a bit of a walk from the lobby to the convention rooms, but not terrible. Full bar, cafe and restaurant on site. Definitely fly into O'Hare if you are traveling in. I flew into Midway on Southwest and it was a 45 min drive from there. O'Hare is only 15 mins.

Super nice hotel with very nice amenities. Very clean and spacious room, with comfortable bed. I enjoyed staying here for sure.

Went here for a graduation. Beautiful, big hotel. Convention center was perfect for the ceremony. Cant realllllyyyy comment on hotel itself as we didnt stay the night therex but it looked clean and very nice.

The hotel staff are so kind. The place is gorgeous. The signage in the conference center needs updating as the business center is not downstairs. It is actually a single desk near the check in.

I went there for a job training as a lifeguard, and it was pretty nice. I expected a bigger pool, but the people there were extremely nice and polite. Not bad!

Great venue for a wedding and reception. Spacious balloons and amenities. Staff was great and accommodating. Would highly recommend for your next special occasion.

We came here to take a tour for a potential wedding venue. Our scheduled meeting was with Jenny Andel. We checked in at the front desk when we arrived, but after waiting 45 minutes without any communication or updates we decided an establishment that treats prospective clients this way wouldn't be a good fit for us so we left. We had terrible experience and will never be returning. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Beautiful lobby space for meetings or taking a break.

Attended for Aquatic Experience and the convention hall couldn't have been nicer. Staff was courteous. Much larger of a building than it appears from the outside. Wish I had gotten a room!

Pretty great place. The convention center seemed small, but it is comfortable. The people there were also super nice. The place was clean, with plenty of places to sit put in the hallways.

The hotel is suprisingly beautiful, with many well-designed interior spaces. The room we stayed in was very clean, and spacious, with a lot of modern amenities (like a Smart TV you can link your streaming accounts to). The fitness room isn't very big but has a good variety of equipment and fulfilled my needs just fine!

Nice clean rooms and courteous staff. Stayed while attending a conference and everyone was accommodating.

I went here for a convention. The food was spectacular. Rooms were cold but you normally expect that. This was a very good venue for a seminar/convention.

Nice rooms & friendly staff. They overbooked significantly during our convention & were offering penalty-free cancelations + a $50 gift card so we were paranoid we might lose our room, but no problems. The on-site concessions aren't great & are outrageously overpriced ($4.50 for a Bottle of soda?!) but there is a free shuttle & plenty of nearby restaurants.

One of the best Marriott properties in the US. GREAT service all around.

Went here for gluten free expo, the place seemed nice for gatherings.

Beautiful place. Room service was expensive and not very good. Guests were loud outside our door so we called to have them be told to be quiet. They piled all their beer cans outside our door. Bad experience

Lots of eye candy here in the decor and architecture. Ambience is great too. Staff are very polite and professional.

Very nicely set up so everything is easy. Also very very big. Had a fun time the 2 times I went here for sneaker con. Look forward to going back.

Second time staying here. First time was a nightmare with several staff until I spoke to a manager. This time they screwed me of two breakfasts and military discount! Javier the night manager is an awful person and should not be in charge. Also waited for a bell hop he was supposed to call for wayyy to long. Also have to add that we had hairs in the tub, trash on the floor, towels not put in the bathroom which were instead in the closet and the tv wasn t working and had to call maid service back and engineering.... oh and also Javier was obviously annoyed at my kid when he called to ask about finding a microwave, which was apparently down the hall in the ice room and it was gross.... way to go Mariot!!!!

Super corporate. Go elsewhere. Not personal at all. They don't care about you in the least. Just looking for you to upgrade.

Very nice facility. I attended on a business event and parking was easy and the facility was nice and clean. I only found one small restroom for several hundred people

This is a great venue for professional meetings. There is ample space for workshops, exhibitors, keynotes, and gatherings of small groups. Of the 3 venues for conventions I have attended in the last year, this is the best.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The staff there are excellent, very nice, professional and fun! We stayed there for a convention and you know they had to have been tired of all these people coming in and being crazy, but they were so nice and helpful. Great food recommendations too! I had a problem with my room and they fixed it no problem. The hotel itself is beautiful with awesome seating areas all over the main floor, plenty of places to sit and relax and hang out with others. The room is gorgeous, comfortable and CLEAN. Love this place.

No place to park well there is a convention going on

When I made the reservations I requested an early check-in and was told they wounds accommodate of at all possible. When I arrived they had no rooms available, I understood that this could happen when I made the reservations. Because the had no room available i wad going to have to wait for someone to check out before I could get a room, to make my wait better the staff comped me a breakfast and have me access to the VIP lounge.

The rooms are very comfortable with all the amenities that you would need.

The only criticism I have is that the room dogs not come with WiFi. In this day and age WiFi should be a standard think.

Definitely a top class facility. Reasonable pricing.

More like 7 stars if you ask me. Everything here is top notch, including all the dining options. We enjoyed a stay for a convention and were truly impressed how well this place is run. Not to mention it's beautiful. We'll definitely return in the future!

This was the best venue yet for AXPONA. First class all the way! They know how to accommodate a large event properly.
