The W Dallas is a decent hotel. We saw a Stars game at the American Airlines Center and it's a super convenient location. They do charge you for everything though- there are bottles of water in the room that are 5 dollars if you open them, same with snacks. It ends up not feeling as luxurious as you may hope because of all the nickle and diming. Tip: if you park yourself in the garage across the street you can save the 30 dollar valet fee. It's the same garage they will park you in and it's only ten dollars to park yourself.

I was there for an event, not so much staying at the hotel as a guest so I can only describe the unbelievable city view from its top deck! Wow! Breathtaking! You can walk out onto a balcony, very safe, and at night have a nice cold, tall drink and enjoy some time with a special someone just chatting along sitting at a table or outside sofa.... I was there for a couple of hours and enjoyed the food , music, view so much. I won't forget it any time soon.

Staying at the W while working a conference. Gorgeous rooms and venue, but lacking certain amenities I'd appreciate like coffee in the rooms or lobby. The open floorplan of all the rooms is nice and I wouldn't consider it a negative, but it isn't entirely ideal for sharing a room with colleagues.

Waiter was very unprofessional by telling us that she doesn't work on Wednesday and didn't know what was drink specials. She treated me like I wasn't going to tip her. Horrible customer service for Living room bar and restaurant.

If anyone out there is looking for bargain deals for hotels go over to . booked a resort on there and they had the best prices worldwide!

I had the pleasure to stay at The W Dallas for two night with my wife while visiting Dallas on business. We had an overall good experience except for the kitchen being closed at night because of the pandemic, no fault of their own.

We booked a Wow Suite at the W Hotel in Dallas at least three months in advance, because it was actually for our wedding night and the following day. When my husband checked us in early that morning, they told him that they had actually overbooked and so they were going to have to downgrade us. Instead of the Wow Suite, we got a Fantastic Suite, which is two steps down. The girl at the desk told us that they were basically the same room, just without a balcony. This is obviously not true, but what other choice did we have? We received the lower price of course, and the room was still very nice. But it was our wedding night! When else do you get to splurge on a big fancy room at the W? We booked that suite for a reason! I realized as soon as I got into the bathroom that the other thing it was missing was the big soaking tub, which I was actually kind of upset about. As well as the obvious square footage and furnishings.

Anyway, overall it was a very underwhelming stay. The room was laid out and wired very strangely. The faux white snake/alligator skin curtains looked like hospital room dividers. And the room lacked a minifridge and coffee maker, which was solely to get you to order room service. However, the rest of the decor was very cool, and the Bliss products were lovely. I definitely wouldn't stay here again, but it was certainly an experience. I just wish we could have had the room we booked in the first place.

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Asked for them to charge a company card that they had on file and they charged my personal card. Tried to call them four different times a few weeks apart and they said accounting would fix it - they never did. Did a charge back through my credit card company because they thought they should charge BOTH cards for the same room. They never responded to my credit card company for over 3 months and then the charge got put back on my personal account, called my credit card company and they said the hotel was not responding and that they would handle it. Absolutely the worst hotel in Dallas from my experience, save yourself the head ache and DO NOT STAY HERE.

The service at the pool was very slow. One person had gotten their meal and finished it before the other one ever came out. Additionally there was an issue with what appeared to be moldy tea that was served. The server was very apologetic and promptly brought us more fresh tea. The room was nice.

Great place and very trendy. We did a private casino party with Elite Casino at the Altitude Space and it was incredible. The Altitude is so pretty and has a lot of good views of the city. The view is what got us hooked. The space is pricey but worth it. Private elevator and entrance and a glass bottom observation deck. The lounge furniture is nice and I loved the mosaic reflective glass. A lot of attention to detail and really strong cocktails, which is what you want. Food presentation is elegant and the service is solid. A great experience and we will definitely look to have another party there soon.

This hotel is very nice on the inside and outside. I was here for a conference and the meeting room was meticulous. There was a beverage bar and continental breakfast available. On the table, each person had a glass of strawberry infused water, note pad, and pen. It space had an bathroom near by along with several lounge areas.

participated in NoH8 event after meeting friends for drinks in the bar. not sure why but after meeting my friends & waiting over 8 minutes in a near empty lounge, I finally had to approach someone to order a round for the 3 of us. the gentleman who took the order was nice enough but as I understood it, a blonde woman who served another table twice but never approached after I arrived was our server. kinda put a minor damper on our wanting to return to the bar after our event. we headed into Deep Ellum instead. beautiful hotel. charming valets. bar service lacking.

Horrifying experience at a Halloween party the W h...

Horrifying experience at a Halloween party the W hosted..... We spent $65 each to be able to go to the Halloween Party. It took us a good 45 minutes to get through the line to redeem our tickets and buy drink tickets (each spent about $100 on drink tickets... and didn't even get to use them all because of what ended up happening). We got on the elevator on the second floor in order to get up to Ghost Bar. The security associate did not seem to pay attention to the amount of people who were getting on the elevator. It was so crammed that my friends and I were shoved against each other and against the wall (we were the second group to get on). One of my friends even mentioned to the security guy "hey don't you think we have too many people on here?" No response from security. Sure enough, 2 floors up, the elevator came to a stop and was stuck. Not a word from the security guy as to what he would do to help get us all out. He remained silent. The people who were closest to the buttons on the wall began pushing buttons and trying to find a call button. Again, no words from the security guard as to what he would do. No crowd control. Nothing. There were drunk guys on the elevator who were loud and obnoxious making jokes about being stuck. There was a girl in the back hyper ventilating and almost panicking. I was shoved against the side of the elevator and watched everything happen. Three different people tried calling 911 (myself included). The signal was out so the 911 dispatchers could not hear us. The security guy was trying to get through to the control panel. He could not get through to anyone. We ended up being stuck in there for at least 45 minutes, sweating, and feeling as though there was no oxygen getting in. There were a number of people beginning to panic. No one could get through to the hotel staff. It was awful... Finally about 45 minutes later (but felt like hours) the fire department came and saved the day and let us out. When I tried emailing HR to let them know what happened, no response. Not even an apology... Disappointing.

Very nice hotel in a great location uptown. Gym is especially nice. Rooms are very modern and have a unique setup between the bathroom and main area. The only thing keeping this from being an amazing room is that the TVs in the room are kind of small relative to other hotels

Very pricey drinks and the rooms were not as nice as some of the other hotels in the area. The Cambria and the Stoneligh were better pricing with better design. The swings in the front of the hotel were my favorite part.

Everything at the W was perfect. Polite at check-in, polite and efficient at the bar (the 2 bar-tenders were always busy cleaning and polishing glasses when not mixing drinks), the food was excellent, and the rooms were modern and really clean.

Location is good for events at American Airlines Center as well as close to my company's office. There are more restaurants and stores popping up close by however it is still a little away from the action. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and still feels fairly new.

Clean, friendly, professional enviroment. I was in Dallas for a work conference and stayed at the W Dallas - Victory. The hotel staff is wonderfully helpful and the location is near many shops, restaurants and bars. The pool at the hotel offers great views, as does the bar on the top floor. I highly recommend this hotel for your next Dallas stay!

So I think the reason for me to give this facility a 1 star is that really this is a 2 star hotel but they are selling it as a 4 star hotel, cheap furniture, cheap mattress, no window shades to dim the light, no smart tv, and some of the pillows had fancy covering with beads, probably not possible to wash, who knows how many people have used it. entrance is dirty and not kept well. I've stayed at plenty of Marriott properties and am a Titanium Elite member so this was probably one of the worst ones I have stayed at.

The pool is cool but the staff was extremely rude (especially since we are gold SPG members). The other guests threatened to beat us up through passing. We considered leaving during our stay but the other hotels were full. The only reason for two stars is that the rooms are nice and the location is prime. Will not be back.

We arrived for our 10yr anniversary and had the pleasure of being helped at the counter by a gentleman named Hafeez. We had slight reservation mishap but Hafeez was quick to make everything right. Customer service like Hafeez's is one the reason why the W in Dallas is so great.

I just discovered they charged me $100 for "incidentals" and also charged the entire amount of my room charges on the same CC. So now I have to wait 14 days for the $100 credit. What hotel actually charges your CC before you buy anything? Very disappointing from a Starwood property.

Great hotel in the heart of uptown's Victory Park!...

Great hotel in the heart of uptown's Victory Park! Steps away from the American Airlines Center-home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars! Beautiful lobby and hotel bar. Cooks Hall, the main dining area, serves excellent fare, especially breakfast and brunch. Fascinating rooftop style pool on the 6th floor. Unbelievable spa! The rooms nice and accommodating, especially the NE facing corner suites. In fact, all the suites are amazing with HUGE patios! The Dallas W is simply first class. One will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Very difficult to deal with and hid behind booking technicalities when confronted about a cancelation error on their end. Would not recommend. It's obvious why this was the only hotel in the area that was not fully booked on late notice.

Clean hotel and comfy beds. This place is in the center of entertainment. It can be a little noisy in the hallways, but that because of guests, not the hotel. The only fallback is that they charge $15 for internet service.

If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit RoomBully. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!

The W is my go to hotel for attending hockey games at the American Airlines Center. Being able to walk out of the hotel and be at the game in a minute is so convenient. Top it off with a first class hotel and it is a perfect night

I hate to say but I was expecting a very wonderful stay for my wife Brittany's best friends wedding. But as I came to find out the food from the restaurant was horrible the stay was uncomfortable the air conditioning did not work the whole time we were there the staff was rude. I would never stay at the W ever again in my life
