I m at the W but I can meet you in the lobby, girl I gotta watch my back, cause I m not just anybody.

Rooftop pool, stellar views. We stayed here for a bachelor party and it was wild. We went to a stars game that was actually right across the street. We rode the scooters downtown and our hotel was right in the heart of downtown. If you re looking for boujie in Dallas this is it. They also have free apples in the lobby. When we were there we were greeted with Champagne. We also had beer and snacks waiting for us in the room because we told them about the special occasion. STAY. HERE.

Ok, let s just start by saying I m a traveler! I m...

Ok, let s just start by saying I m a traveler! I m in a hotel almost every other weekend. Nine times out ten it s a Marriott/SPG hotel, Marriott has been on my number 1 list for years plus my family members from Louisiana around the globe to Nevada works for them. Ok...on to the hotel. Prior to making it to the hotel I called Thursday to confirm my reservation...the rep confirmed my reservation I then asked her were there any other charges as far as incidentals. She said one moment, placed me on hold then came back and said oh no ma am there isn t. Kinda of puzzled me because every hotel has them, but I said ok thanks!! Idk about many but I m a person of structure and I like to know what I ll be paying before hand. So at checkin I approach the desk giving the gentleman my info. I then asked again how much my charges are. He replied $109 I said for two nights? Yes. Ma am I then said I m staying two nights. So a manager cameover to asst then he said oh about $450 will be held on your card! Wow!!! $450!!! I proceeded to say your rep that answered the phone on Thursday stated there wasn t any additional charges. Oh well every hotel has them ! Well I myself knew that, but your front desk obviously don t know. The only reason it made me mad is because I called prior to for the amount and two for the manager saying WELL instead of I m sorry or my apologies for the missed informed information. Me being a hospitality supervisor for over 5 years I wouldn t WELL my customers. So then I had to step away and transfer additional money to my traveling account (inconvenient)!! Welp that was checkin!!! Later that night my spouse and I was headed out so we called valet for the car. Valet was pulling our car to the door as we walked out. So I approached the car as my husband walked around to get on the driver side. I opened the door as valet had the windows down. I placed my hand in the window and then boom the valet rolls my fingers up in the window not knowing that s why I m screaming and hollering!!!! So of course it s getting tighter and tighter on my fingers! My God I was pissed. Ruin my entire night because my right hand was in unbearable pain. So this was all on Friday the very first day at the hotel!!!! Saturday, we left the hotel at about 10:30 or so came back to the hotel and about 4:30 or a little later and guess what? Room hadn t been cleaned no fresh towels or anything. Normally when a guests leave their room that early in the A.M. and come back that late in the afternoon the room is cleaned. Well not ours, we had to call for extra towels to bathe so we can hurry and get dress. After receiving the towels as bathe left came back and the room had been cleaned!! But...there was on two sheets on the bed one that was tucked and one to lay under oh and not to mention the extra cover and pillow that we requested that Friday not was gone! We asked for that for a reason my husband has to sleep on several pillows due to a procedure he just had. Now it s Sunday I receive my bill with extra charges that I shouldn t have because I m a SPG member. The best part of this stay will be checking out. I won t return here and it hurts me. But I can t stay any where the customer service isn t good. I don t care if I stayed on a cooperate discount, AAA, or military discount. It s my money and I pay for great customer service! Oh I forgot to mention on Friday I received a call from a manger about the incident at checkin. He states don t forget you re on a cooperate guest rate to those who don t know it s a family and friend discount because my sister work for them! You said that as if I shouldn t complain or something because I m already on a discount rate? Well sir!!! I have you to know you just made me reconsider in vesting into Marriott/SPG again next year. That was definitely a insault to me!!!

I love the W, always did!! But i was not happy yesterday. Because of a low class street thug they have working there. We've been going to the W for years to the bar on Saturday and pool party's in the summer and we always thought very high of the W and their stuff. We didn't even care to pay the high price. But yesterday There was a guy name MIKE working as the security for the pool. And he either doesn't like his job, he is not a people person, or he was just having a bad day. So!! we celebrated my Birthday on Saturday at the living room bar and Sunday we reserved a table with 2 bottles, like 20 people, each person purchase the ticket and + purchase drinks at the bar. just my tab was $600. + whatever my guests purchased.
And this guy name Mike was so in a bad mood and looking like he hates his job!! Made a few comments that were out line!! First one he said when few of my friends were dancing with a model that was there, he told them "do not touch her!!" First of all she was not a Stripper, you MIKE are not her pimp, and we were not at Strip club.
She was having fun dancing with my guests!! I have a video of that if you guys would like to see it!! Second comment.. my husband splashed water on one my other friends which was not hurting anybody and only 1 time splashed the water!! he told him to get out of the pool with no warning or anything! When there was a 4 year old kid running, jumping splashing water to everyone in the pool no one said anything we didn't see that offensive either.
Comment # 3. He made a racist comment with one of the bartenders!!!! My brother was at the bar and overheard him telling the bartender. My brother complained with the manager from the bar. The manager said she was going to take care of him. The manager I guess talked to him, after that he did not even come out of the bar. He was standing inside the bar in the corner looking like the manager put him in time out. But he left us alone! so that was a good thing! please W be more selective with your employees don't just hire hood rats like Mike!! I hope next time we go his is gone!!
We pay a high price for good customer service, and we expect respect most of all. Don't get bad ratings for just that one bad employee!

Does W hotel management have different standards for their hotels around the world?

I am a loyal customer of Hong Kong W hotel, which is very trendy and full of energy. W Dallas is out of dated and sad. Even the uniforms are different. I am a very detailed person.

The view on the 7th floor was very nice. The bathroom had a very pretty blue tile. The bathroom was setup a little strange, not much privacy. I did like that you need a key card to go up the elevator.

Will not be back to the W Dallas- Victory. We frequent Dallas Maverick games and decided to stay over after a game. The hotel was very very loud. People were smoking weed at the back door. We couldn't sleep because someone was having a party at the room next to us. We called and complained because of the noise in the middle of the night, nothing was done. We arent unreasonable but yelling, loud music, banging on the door and walls at 3am is a little much. No security. Sketchy people outside our door, looking for the room with the party although they were not a resident. For the price we were very very disappointed. No help when we asked to speak with manager. This place is a free for all. Too bad..

Came down for an overnight stay for the Stars game. Great location but just a sub-par hotel for the price. This place is all about the name and the "trendiness". $350 here gets you a rock hard bed and no internet access. Parking is overpriced. I've had much better rooms for a much more reasonable price. If it wasn't for the location I'd only give it 2 stars.

Paid $320 for a night mega king on the 15th floor. The view was nice, but the room was not mega at all. My fault for not asking the size and instead being sold on it for the name mega king . Had dirty bath robes in the room (picture attached) and a damaged lamp shade. This is the freaking W for god sakes. I asked the gentleman at the front desk to change me to a lower floor but give me a bigger room. I KNOW they have them available as I saw it online and they are cheaper than what I paid for the mega king on the 15th floor, but he looked at his manager and said no we have nothing. I d recommend people to stay at Hotel Zaza because all you re paying for is the name at the W.

I stayed here for a three day work summit and I must say that this hotel made me fall in love with the W chain of hotels. The lighting all around was hip, yet soothing and their music reminded me of being in a trendy lounge. My room was spectacular. I was booked in a room with double beds(although I was the only one staying in the room) and the beds were extremely comfortable and beautifully designed. The best feature in my opinion was the deep tub and I thoroughly enjoyed soaking in it.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating and didn't hesitate to ensure that my stay was pleasurable. If I ever visit Dallas again I will definitely stay here again and I recommend anyone that visits Dallas to stay here.

Ordered popcorn chicken, tasted like cardboard, thought I could enjoy the pool in the evening, they closed. Thought I could enjoy the view, the windows are so disgusting you could barely see out. Was trying to show my wife a good time for a $400 stay. Huge disappointment.

The W was the best hotel experience we have ever had (domestic or foreign)! Great room & view. Professional-courteous staff and having Kamakana, Ryan or Jason, make you a Chopin-vodka martini is a must! This place is incredible! The only bad part was having to leave...

I stayed with a group of friends at the W Dallas Victory over the New Year's holiday. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel bar was nice with good cocktails. The rooms could have been maintained better and the public areas and rooms were not cleaned well. The hotel is conveniently located next to the American Airlines Center.

When I arrived promptly at 3 pm on Friday evening ...

When I arrived promptly at 3 pm on Friday evening I
was at first glance very impressed.Shorty after checking in with Ms. Jenese, I went to go check out my room 728.
It took me a minute or two to get there because I wasn't informed on what floor I was going to or how to access or make the elevator move.

Luckily there was a couple who got on the elevator and showed me how. I immediately felt a little out of place, and thought maybe this is to high end for my kind. But the couple was very friendly and ensured that it happens more so than you would think. After arriving down the long hall to my room which was the very last door to the right,I immediately notice that the room's bathroom did not look like what I saw on the website at the time of booking.

I was under the impression that my room included both the garden tub, and separate glass shower. I marched down to the lobby to express my concerns with the room I thought I was renting. Before deciding a room I spoke with ,Jenese March 8th, (the actual day of my anniversary ) I told her that this would be my first time staying with the W hotel per my husband's request, and that I wanted our anniversary to be very special. So I just wanted to make sure I knew what I was paying for before deciding on a room. I ask Jenese does the King room have a separate tub.She said no,It only had the shower.

I expressed my typical womanly passion for soaking in a tub,It is super relaxing. But I told her my husband is 5 '11 he would prefer a shower.
She asked me to hold on while she verified my request. When she returned to the phone she stated" the Wonderful suite includes
both the separate glass shower and the tub. I thank her for her help and had a decision to make. Do I want a king size bed with no tub option or two queens
and to bathing options? I went with option two.

Fast forward to Friday 22 minutes after I checked in and I am standing in front of Jenese at this point. Very friendly but unable to correct this issue her self she calls on a manger on duty, Allen I believe short balding black guy.Needless to say he was the exact opposite of Ms.Jenese.He had an arrogance about him and a sarcastic tone.He asked me what I needed. He said the room you have doesn't include the shower, and you know its non refundable.

I explain to him that I had done extensive research (so i thought) before selecting and booking the room and even had spoken to Jenese, prior to booking,so that all of my ducks would be in a roll . He repeated your room does not include the separate shower. So at this point Mr. Jett ,there is a line behind me ,I am embarrassed, humiliated and feel like I have made the biggest mistake of 2017,by spending my hard earned money on booking with a 4 star hotel ,that was providing 0 star service.Out of a final plea I asked Mr.Allen what are my options here?He replied you can upgrade to the Fantastic Suite for an ADDITIONAL CHARGE of 100$. I told him I would have to pass on the upgrade but that I also notice there were other items missing from the room.
There wasn't any robes, slippers or the mini fridge I requested he shrug his shoulder and said I would receive those items later on.

Cool room with a great view. Very neat area literally across the street from American Airlines.

Less one star for no free breakfast. Less two stars for being the first hotel I can remember that didn t refresh my room between nights.

Not like it was supper dirty but for the price my company paid, I expect better.

Beautiful place, nice bar inside with his mix of music. I would think you should dress to impress on there. They also have a small resturant inside the hotel with very limited setting, yet the did looked quite tasty.

This was is the worst hotels I have ever been to, we where there for my bachelorette party. They kicked us out with no warning after ONLY two hours saying its hotel policy not to give warnings, then they blamed us of having to many people in the room(it was only 9) which they had made us upgrade to a suite for the same reason. There was no contract signed by us stating those rules and even when asked they couldn't provide proof. They said we where having an event we weren't authorized to have!!! Even though they let the stripper up to the room because you need a special key to get to the suite!!!!! We told them we would gladly pay for an extra room if that was the case the manager KC told us we just needed to get out. We started to clean the room when the cops showed up to escort us out of the building. We are ALL active duty military women 3 of us including myself flew from Germany for my wedding the rest came from all around the United States. We know better than to make a scene so we left, we had been drinking so as responsible adults had to call my family at 1 in the morning to pick us up while the cops stayed with us outside. We tried talking to corporate but they informed us there was nothing they could do since this is a privately owned hotel that uses there name!!! So $800 for 2 hours and 2 rude hotel personal and six cops after flying in 11 hours the day before left more than a NASTY taste in this brides mouth.

The hotel and staff was wonderful! I came over to the bar after the Maverick preseason game and had excellent cocktails. The only downside is the amount of homeless people walking up to you on the outdoor patio. In one hour five homeless people came up asking for money. It's very annoying seeing that kind of trash walking around. I know the hotel doesn't have to much control over that but the guy who probably walks through that patio selling his Zing news paper I'm sure comes all the time....

COVID conditions clearly impacted service level quality. Location is the only reason this hotel is rated 4 star. Rooms and beds are average quality at best. Was especially disappointed with the bar service. Ordered 2-$15 frozen margaritas from bartender (who looked under age) and received them on the rocks after waiting at least 10 minutes For the bartender to make them despite being the only ones in the bar because he had to look up the instructions for How to make them while we waited. Expect much higher Quality customer service levels from a 4 star hotel that charges such high rates!
