The post person never bothers to come upstairs to deliver our package. We are a business and there is someone there all the time during business hours. At times they do not even leave a missed deliver card. They misplace packages then find the same packages to return to sender. I would leave a negative star if I could. They do not even deserve 1 star.

Tried to collect a parcel last Saturday morning - the first time I went there was a queue of about 30 people so I tried again an hour and a half later, but it was exactly the same with people queuing all the way to the entrance.

Given that there are a lot of people who work in the city during the week, it shouldn't take a genius to realise that there are going to be a lot of people using the post office on a Saturday morning (the only time it is open on the weekend).

So why on earth then were there only two people working at the counter?? Ridiculous.

Update one year later: Pretty much the same with queues out of the door on a Saturday morning. But at least there were three people on the counters this time. It s only going to get worse with all the new apartment blocks opening nearby though, so I hope the managers keep an eye on wait times at the weekend.

I came in on a Saturday about an hour before the branch s closing time, only two people were serving, doing the best they can with all sorts of transactions like passports, etc

I was told by the counter customer service person that Aust Post don t accept the new digital NSW licenses as ID which was weird I thought, a government institution not accepting a government issued ID.

The two stars is for the lack of staff to handle a growing number of customers on a weekend not helped by the widely held suspicion that some e-parcel couriers don t even bother to attempt actual delivery but instead, just write some excuse like not safe or exposed to weather and just redirect these parcels to the nearest branch for customer pick-up.

Nice staff, BUT....
I've been living in Dee Why for over 7 years and been using local post office randomly.
If you go there on Saturday, expect a long waiting time!
They are short of staff. Part of the problem is that Dee Why is full of apartments and the post man dont bother to deliver the parcel to most apartments. No mater if you're home or not! And the results? LONG QUEUE....
As if you're queuing at the stadium to watch footy...

This is the worst experience I have ever had as customer. Customer service so bad you'd think they are getting a kick out of it. Suitcase lost in transit to UK full of sentimental items. They just dont care, refuse to help me track parcel, wont even pay refund into my Australia account and now dont reply to emails. Judging by all the other reviews I should not be surprised, my fault for not researching them before, will never receive a cent from me again.

P.S only ever reviewed for good reasons until now

We have just gone through several weeks of hell trying to get our family s passport renewal forms in via the awful staff at several local POs.

Dee Why Post Office, as well as Mona Vale, Collaroy Plateau & Warringah Mall employ counter staff of questionable intellect, who are too scared to accept passport photos because they don t understand the photo parameters or how to apply a size range , and their interpretations of a white or grey background are varied & unpredictable.

Thank goodness for Petersham PO who put you to shame!

The mail man dropped a sorry we missed you card in the post box even though I was home all day. They just couldn t be bothered to ring the door bell.

Pathetic and rude, customer service isn t there and then they try to explain you the internal workings of an organisation. I do not need to know the internal process, all I wanted was to collect a delivery that I redirected to this post office as it s convenient and there s no one to collect the same during day time. And they start asking you thousands of questions even when you are showing them your ID and an email confirmation of the parcel that s been delivered to DY store, and in the end a big guy comes and tries to give clarification that I have not sought and when I say I do not need to know he says why are you getting aggressive, is he mental, someone will show you aggression one day mate as you are asking for it and then you will know what that means, muppets working there...

My Id didnt match the parcel because it was delivered to my work. I showed her many proofs that is mine( a pick up card, tracking numbers, a tracking text) she doesn't listen to me. She told me that she cant trust the digital ones. OMG. Too strict not flexible.

Excellent service always. The staff are friendly and helpful despite being often busy, don't know how they do it!
I love that I can collect packages between 6-9am it's a fantastic service that makes The DeeWhy post office a place I enjoy going to.

Rude and quite condescending staff. You just get the feeling no one working there is in the slightest bit happy and sticks to the letter with their roles. No sense of urgency or empathy what so ever. Worst customer service, worst post shop - worst full stop. Avoid like the plague where ever you can.

Went to send a simple one page fax and I was told that the fax machine was down. How is this possible? No apology, no trying to see if the situation was workable. I was told to go to Officeworks instead. Rude staff on other occasions as well.

Unfortunately the staff are very rude with no customer service on the front desk at Dee Why. I am a strong believer of being kind to all, but find myself feeling very angry, demoralised and belittled everytime I leave this particular post office. I avoid going at all costs because I do not like how they treat anyone and have found myself standing up for other customers in the past when rude behaviours have esculated for absolutely no reason. It's completely unnecessary. Do yourself a favour and go to another post office where you can feel respected and have a mutual power balance where there is normal conversation about collecting or posting a parcel.

Just had my passport photo taken and printed here, the lady did not adjust the hair level of the photo and printed (the hair is right on top of the image, it supposed to be a bit of margin). I suggested the passport photo may be not accepted and asked if she was 100% sure the photo can be used, however, she suddenly ripped off the photo, put the pieces to the bin in front of me and said it's now her lunch break time, just wait for another staff. I was shocked but still waited another staff, when the second lady came forward for help, she was keep talking about they cannot adjust it because it is all in their system, I should go to officeworks or camerawarehouse to make the softcopy printed again, but the fact is it can be done and they did it right the second time. During the full communication and the service, the staff were very rude. I asked for their names for the formal complaint, but they said they cannot give me their names, and third lady keep asking me to leave otherwise she will call police...... What a great service Au Post Dee Why......

Just read Tenzin Nyima's review and all I can say is, "mate tell the truth". Why do I say this, I was there that day and you sir were not listening. I had a police check done, so I know what Malisa was on about. I hung around listening with interest as I had to provide further documentation too. YOU WEREN"T LISTENING MATE!!!! End of story. Poor girl told you time and again that your bloody travel document was not enough. Why the hell would she smile at you. If you think she was rude, well your dreaming. She gave you options that would give you 100 points but you just wouldn't listen. Feel sorry for her if she gets in trouble. Your fault not hers. FYI, I have been a customer for nearly 10 years and the staff here work damn hard. Get over yourself!!!

Why do you have the track auspost email process if you do not even attempt to deliver parcels?

I received the track your own email and have postponed a dentist appointment today to be here to receive my parcel (box of wine that is heavy and needed to be delivered as I cannot carry it from the post office without a car). I checked the post box a minute ago (4:10pm) to find a card saying that I need to collect my parcel from the post office. I have been in my apartment all day and have been waiting for the transport co to ring the bell for me to receive the parcel. Nobody took the time to do so and just were lazy and put a card in the letterbox. Why have the service? I am going to report this to the company who sent me the parcel and tell them NOT to use Australia Post again!

Ive been expecting 2 delivery orders for over a we...

Ive been expecting 2 delivery orders for over a week.
The same suppliers have different locations so have sent in more parcels and also used different couriers.

Received the first 3 lots in a go the first day from Australia Post, no issues they came all the way up to my unit door.
Other couriers delivered on time, no issues.

Im expecting the final 3 parcels and for all 3 of them I've received alerts in the morning notifying that the parcel is coming on the day and asking me to confirm if we'll be home.
I've indicated that we are.
Later in the day I track my parcel online and I see that delivery was attempted but couldn't access the building.
The delivery guys, if they ever came to my place (which I highly doubt at this point) didn't buzz and didn't leave a note in my letterbox.

I called the customer service staff and didn't really give me an option, they just said.. "we can't organize a new delivery, you can send someone on your behalf"

Never asked for a "new" delivery, I just wanted my parcels to be delivered in the first place.

This is very frustrating.

I've paid for a service ( which was also quite expensive) and it wasn't offered to me.

The reason why I asked for these goods to be delivered, is because I can't leave the house so I can't go and collect them at the post office.

I understand the circumstances and I know you're all busy, at least have the decency to be honest and say that there are issues and you can't provide the expected service.

People in the post shop are great. The delivery driver we normally have is great, but the ones in between don't even bother turning up. 3 times this week i've had to go to the post shop as apparently my address doesn't exist.

Great customer service especially Jessica who provided an amazing service and she went above and beyond her basic call of duty. They are quite busy most of the time but all they staff members managing it really well. Lovely post office.

They bothered to walk up the stairs to the front door of our apartment and put a card saying there was a parcel, it was only small and they could have dropped the parcel in the mailbox! Oh No, not these geniuses I had to go down to the post office and stand in line for 25 minutes to pick it up what a waste of time. Non thinkers!

All complainers on here entitled, rude individuals who wont listen, or too stupid to understand what is being asked of them. Hardly the staffs fault. I pickup parcels most days of the week and always get great service.

I m furious as I m still waiting g to collect my parcel at the side gate and I got here early! In the end they could not find my parcel!

Terrible! Low skilled staff. When I come to pick up my deliveries - they usually say they can't find the package. Then I insist and eventually they find them. This story repeats every time I go to pick up my parcels.
