Nice conference venue. Lunches were a little lacking in quality though.
Historic hotel in Union Square, coffee shop in the lobby is nice to have for wanderers.
Great location, right in Union Square. We stayed at the older section of the hotel and the rooms were very large for a SF hotel. Was able to request a mini fridge, free water bottles, the cocktail bar downstairs was really pricey ($9 IPA) but convenient. Service as great. Would stay again.
The rooms are dingy and oddly configured. I was confirmed for a King bed but was out into a room with a Twin.
Simply excellent. My top once choice every time I'm in San Francisco.
We were given a disabled room with emergency pipes in the bathroom. We paid 600 dollars a night for an average room and hotel services. No restaurant open at 9 on a Friday. Good location
Rooms were okay, standard ballroom layout and look. Catering service there was good with lots of pastry choices and enough food for everyone. Parking wasn't too hard hard to find if you don't mind parking in a garage nearby and walking to the hotel.
What to say .. the Top! Stay in the new tower from 20 upwards for a breathtaking visit to San Francisco. It costs but it is worth it.
Always stay there. Never disappointed. Prefer the older building.
Modern, great views, central location, good service.
A wonderful experience. Valet is not included in your stay.
Beautiful atmosphere, impeccable service, knowledgeable staff.
Would have gotten a 5 star, but when I stopped out front, my wife got out to get our two bags. She had already gone inside, but I was told to pull around to the valet parking to pick her up. Explained the situation. And the door man asked my wife's name, as though he would relay the message. Long story short, my wife stood several minutes out front wondering where I was. But the room was great.
Pretty good place to stay for a convention. Friendly staff, nice gym, comfortable rooms.
We try to come here every Christmas from LA. It's hard to surpass for Christmassy atmosphere and the associated SF experience. Every now and again there are glitches In the Wi-Fi or the tub or what have you, but the Westin is a classic for the holidays and SF. Difficult to let that go...
This is a beautiful historic hotel, the lobby is beautiful and great location. Keep in mind that rooms are very small in the old part of the hotel, so of you prefer space over historical details, maybe the newer tower is better for you.
Was a very nice stay.. Employees are on top of everything.. made my stay pleasurable..
Great hotel. Bar is kind of small but great ambiance. The rooms are great on the tower side and if you get above 17th floor, the views are amazing.
Beautiful hotel with everything you'll ever need: great front desk and concierge staff along with a close walk to famous attractions.
Lots of cool history displays on the first floor, should check it out.
We had a room that had a strong mold odor. We requested a new room that was significantly cleaner. Unfortunately it was a 30 min wait at 10pm because they only had one person working for the non SPG members. A huge lined formed because one person and the other SPG line was empty. Not a very good experience when I had to travel 7 hours with a toddler and infant and we come to a gross hotel room and need to change our rooms but have to wait a long period of time because they were understaffed.
We did a wine tasting in the wine room and we had an amazing experience.
Wonderful suite, comfy heavenly bed, quick room service, easy parking and the breakfast pastries and coffee from downstairs are excellent. Centrally located. East to waln to ferry building and nearots of shops and great restaurants.
I LOVE THIS HOTEL, I HOPE I CAN STAY IN THIS PLACE AGAIN
Beautiful hotel with a classic cozy vibe right in the middle of everything
Great location right on Union Square. This is an historic hotel. The bar is a great place for a drink.
I really like the hotel, but the homeless problem in Union square and nearby tenderloin makes safety and hygiene a concern when staying here. I used to stay here every week for several years but now only stay here if there is no other option. It is unfortunate as it is a landmark and beautiful hotel inside
Really nice place within walking distance of many places in SF!
Yes...San Francisco was amazing,I love this place very much...I Came San Francisco with my family,My father ,my sister and my mommy's...We Love Those Cool foods in Star bucks...as I have never been there
It was very nice, room was great, big bathroom. Nice lobby.
Great hotel with vintage charm in the middle of downtown. There are tons to do within walking distance. The rooms are large and quiet.
Enjoyed drinks with friends after a long day in the city. If you get a chamce try their revolver cocktail.
First time in SF. Great room and access to Union Square. Nice view of the Great Christmas Tree in the square.
I really liked the men's bathroom on the ground floor!
Great ambiance. Friendly service. Clean rooms. Bumping bar.
Really great hotel. Friendly and quick check in. Nice room with good amenities. Fantastic location. All of the fixtures feel new. Will stay here again next time I'm in San Francisco.
Great atmosphere and location. Lacking a fridge and free in room WiFi though.
Lovely building, great service. The chicken wings were amazing!
Went to a formal event at this venue and it was really well put together. The food was well done and the ballrooms were absolutely beautiful!
This is a wonderful Hotel, one of the nicest and friendliest I have been to in San Francisco. We stayed in the new section where the rooms are larger and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby listening to all the conversations and people watching,
Was there for a Straumann Event. The place is really nice. Event was good. The food was ok some good some just ok. The place does have a great staff.
Upgraded my family to a much larger room and with a street view. All the staff was accommodating and professional. Rooms and bathrooms will decorated and everything in good repair. My only issue was the mattress. It seemed older as it sagged in the middle and was really firm. Making for a difficult night sleep. Everything else was excellent.
Check in was quick and we are able to check in early for $50. Room is updated however there was a piece of trash on the floor when we entered. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Overall good experience.
The older building does not look clean, the tower part is pretty nice,
Nice hotel. Good workout room with a good amount of cardiovascular equipment. Short walk to Market St.
Great rooms and service. A bit pricey, but the whole area is.
Beautiful location, very kind and good services. We were on honeymoon and they honored us with champagne, strawberries and chocolate as well as free WiFi.
If we return to SF we will definitely be here!
Bellissima posizione, gentilissimi e buoni servizi. Eravamo in luna di miele e ci hanno omaggiato di champagne, fragole e cioccolata oltre al WiFi gratuito.
Se torneremo a SF saremo sicuramente qui!
Wonderful Hotel the staff were amazing would love to go back and stay many nights again expensive but worth it can't wait to go back
Room needed maitenance. Safe dead, phone intermittent, bath plumbing leaked
Stayed in the old tower. Kind of small, but a fantastic room and fantastic bathroom.
Great ambiance, good service. Also had nice Christmas decor. Would visit again.
Great Hotel, Great Staff, Great Views. The absolute best
Very conveniently located in Union Square, most stores are walkable. Spacious and clean rooms.
Nice location you can reach everything with in walking distance.
We always stay at the Francis when we're in town.
The rooms in the Landmark building are well appointed yet maintain the old school feel of a grand old hotel. Rooms in the Landmark building are also pretty reasonable considering its right in Union Square.
Staff is always courteous and efficient.
We book online since we get free Wi-Fi that way
The Westin is decorated beautifully with Christmas trees small and large. The atmosphere is jolly and sweet.
Old hotel, but classic vibe. My queen room was too small, but otherwise in a cool part of town.
The perfect weekend getaway. The staff were very accommodating to our needs. Rooms were clean and well maintained.
Stayed in a double room on the 17th floor of newer tower building. Room was spacious. Hotel is in a great location.
The only problems we had with this hotel was that the "free" wifi included in our booking only included 3 devices, and it must be the same 3 during the entire stay. You are not able to rotate use of 3 different devices. You must pay $14.95 to add additional devices.
Also, our room keys kept demagnetizing so this prevented use of the elevators or access to your room. This happened 3 times during our 4 day stay which meant us having to wait in the long check in line 3 times to get the keys working again.
Very nice accommodations, excellent service. The elevator system was nice from a security standpoint but a little kludgy and it seemed like the D elevator had issues. I stepped onto it a few times after requesting it only to have the doors close but not go where I needed. It was good the doors opened after pressing the button. I tried this a few times before another elevator would come to the floor. I reported this to the front desk - maybe it's fixed by now.
Very large hotel in central location across from beautiful Union Square, with lots of shopping and dining options nearby. We especially like the historic rooms that front Union Square, although there also Tower rooms if you want newer (but more generic).
Nice conference venue. Some rooms are a bit hard to find and the WiFi was a touch spotty, but all in all, a good location.
I do not contest that this is a beautiful hotel in a great location. However, the room was covered in dust, and the pipes were extremely loud. Every time someone flushed their toilet, we heard it in our room. Also, I took advantage of the offer to rent New Balance tennis shoes for only $5 during the stay. On the day of check out, I handed them to a guy at the front desk. Unfortunately, after receiving my bill, I realized that I was charged $110 for the shoes. Supposedly, they are refunding my money (haven't seen it yet), but it has been a big inconvenience. I also had to call for the itemized receipt for the stay, because that was not automatically e-mailed on the day of check-out. And FYI - they charge almost $6 for a medium cup of coffee and $3 for a banana at the coffee shop in the lobby. Overall, it was a HUGE disappointment!
An excellent transit Hotel - ( en-route to the Caribbean.) Very large and modern, yet also very personable and customer friendly. Excellent location with regard to accessing downtown San Francisco by foot. Excellent airport connections.
There is a hotel in front of Union Square
Unfortunately, I m protesting every day
There was a point of hearing a little at night and a little scary at the entrance
