Not what I expected from the Saint Francis.

Not what I expected from the Saint Francis.
I m here on my honeymoon.
I went to the front desk last night and asked for a pair of champagne glasses and they said none were available.
I then asked for any type of glass and they said none were available.
I then asked for plastic cups and they said that the guy That could get it for me wouldn t be available for another hour.
They seemed bothered that I was asking.
They suggested I go down the street to CVS which was already closed.
They said under the circumstances I should be at more understanding???
I was at a Hilton on Friday night and they were able to accommodate all of these requests.
I doubt I will be staying here again.

They charged us $ 30 x motorcycle when we took less than one car park. The room cost 170 dollars and parking 120. They excused themselves saying that the parking is outsourced. A theft

The Westin St. Francis is great. I stayed for a week during a professional training event, and my stay felt like anything but work. The hotel is in Union square and is surrounded by local entertainment, shopping, food, drinks, etc.

This is an old Hotel with History Class and great location. Once visited by QEII and the side entrance detailed an assignation attempt on a President. Close to BART rail system for fast transfer to Air etc. Outside there is the tram stop and across the Square, the entrance to Chineese district. Great location. This an old classic hotel. If your going to visit San Fran for the first time or a rare visit, this Hotel is special. The corridors were like halls, the lifts were old style. The lobby was modern but classic and very impressive. Location for restaurants in evening was good. The best glass of
Wine we have ever had was in the Piano bar in the street.

Excellent experience at a high-profile Charity Fundraiser Event held at this San Francisco Westin St. Francis Hotel in their Colonnade Ballroom space. The staff was professional, organized, and helpful. The food and beverages served were excellent. It was a beautiful and successful event and I would come back here again. Thank-you.

Great hotel in the heart of Union Square. The rooms were very quiet with little hallway and neighbor noises leaking in.
There are plenty of places to tour and eat within walking distance.
Driving to it can get hectic due to the heavy traffic in this area.

The one star is for the room staffs who delivered bottle water, toothbrush, toothpaste, and etc to us. Other than that, the hotel is old, dark, crowded. Rooms are small, noisy, outdated. WiFi is super slow. The elevator system is terrible. There is nothing to like about this place

The arrival staff was polite and process the reservation quickly. The lobby is high end and the rooms are adequate. Workout facilities have variety bit get there early if you do not want to wait. Food is a bit pricy for on the go items. Overall a positive experience.

Huge rooms right in the heart of San Fran. Most everything is within walking distance including a mall and several notable shopping locations. Nike, Tiffany's, Macy's, Cheesecake Factory, plus some local flare.

Elevators are a bit different. You have to put your key in on the outside and select your floor on the outside. That way when you get on the elevator you don't have to push any buttons. A little different, but you can get used to it.

A great place for a conference!

Amazingly classic hotel that has preserved a lot of the turn of the century. You re almost transported back in time, while at the same time enveloped in the luxury of this premium property.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. The property has great bars and restaurants, but is also close to many unique establishments in the surrounding neighborhoods. There is enough in walking distance to keep you busy for weeks.

Great views of Union Square.

If you re going to San Francisco for business or as a tourist, you cannot pick a better place to stay than the St Francis.

A solid albeit non-exciting choice right by the Union Square. Great for business travel when you don't want any surprises - just a quiet room and a comfortable bed. Westin's Heavenly Bed? Even better. I've stayed there many times and never had a problem. 2 minor details: no food choice in the hotel (I don't care for the too fancy steakhouse and the lobby cafe after a day at work), and long wait sometimes for the elevator.

Historic hotel. However, they are not up to date with technology. The Wi-Fi was down for at least a day. The front desk said they were changing carriers. However the available Wi-Fi networks show that they were having internal access point problems. Not acceptable in an upscale hotel in the San Francisco Bay area.

One of the best hotels to visit, especially during the Christmas Holiday. Centrally located to shopping, theater, and is beautifully decorated. You also feel like your staying in a museum as it has over one hundred years of history.

It's a beautiful hotel in a great location, but the ongoing strike is causing service issues. No food, elevators weren't working right, and having to walk through a picket line is never fun...

I have been staying at this hotel for the O'Reilly conference, and I have been very impressed. The location is awesome. The neighborhood has a ton of restaurants and attractions and is extremely walkable. The room is comfortable and has an incredible view of the square. Everyone who has worked at the conference from the hotel side has been extremely professional, friendly and helpful. My favorite features so far have been the beautiful gym facilities (with free weights!!!), the complimentary lavender scented oil, and the new balance program where you can have work out clothes and shoes delivered to your room. Thank you for an excellent stay!

It is a good hotel that is in a spectacular building, located in the very center of San Francisco (on Union Square). The St Francis has a long history of glamor and stars and maintains its architectural splendor, with mosaic floors, lifts with art deco doors and other period beauties. One of its entrances has an arrangement of orchids that is really beautiful. As for the rooms they are spacious but not particularly well decorated. The bed and sheets are the most remarkable and the comfortable bathroom. Also the gym, which is open 24 hours a day, is very good and they have the service of the Westin for which you can rent your entire team of clothes and New Balance sports shoes for five dollars, which really makes you decide not to carry that when you go on a trip

I will never ever rent a room here again because they ended going in my room when I was gone and they accused me of having my TV on to loud and having to many people when I only had two people up to my room and then when I tried to take my boyfriend up in my room the security guard told me that i was lucky he was letting me up in my room that I paid over $300 for.

Definitely on my list of places to stay at again as soon as I get a chance to do so! The location is one of the best features about The Westin St. Francis on Union Square. It's close to everything and anything you could possibly need or want to have access to within walking distance. The 20th floor view is amazing! And of course, the service is top notch.

Staff on strike when we stayed so awful atmosphere. Bathroom had no fan (steam took a long time to fade after showering) and was a little outdated. Our mini fridge did not work. Issues with wifi when we arrived as well. The view from the taller tower was also not great at all. 21st floor suite and couldn't see much at all.
