Went to Saint Andrews for the Zakk Sabbath show, the venue is awesome. It's easy to navigate and the staff is incredible. If you get the chance to catch a show there it is definantley a great place to be.

When I first went to St Andrew's, I didn't love it. It seemed crowded. After attending many shows, it is now my favorite venue in Detroit. You are never really far away from the stage, it's very intimate and good acoustics. If you haven't seen a show here, see one, you won't regret it.

I go to a lot of concerts. Three this week alone. Everything about St Andrews Hall is perfect. Starting with the building itself. The sound is awesome from everywhere. There is a General Admission open main floor for people who like that and a very well designed horseshoe balcony with seats and some with tables.

The people there are great. Security is very professional and very friendly. The bars are well staffed with excellent service.

St Andrews Hall is a great venue and no doubt my favorite place to see a concert.

This place is a small venue with good prices and drinks. Outside is an alley with some incredible murals that I highly suggest checking out. Inside there's a small stage with an island bar and a few places off in the corner to sit. The staff there are questionable and can be quite rude. What's nice is the venue's so small so you can get right up in front and talk to the band afterwards .

Concert was great but to get into the place was painful.
If they want a body check every single person should have start the checking earlier
We travelled a long way to see the band but missed the first four songs due to the negligence of the facility and their snail Pace Security checks

On February 13, 2020 is saw one of my all-time favorite bands... Queensryche. I had seen them twice before at DTE Music Theatre (Pine Knob).

This show was WAY better. With General Admission, we were able to get to within 5 feet of the rail in front of the stage. Because the stage is small, we were super close to all of the band members. We even got two guitar picks!

I was also super-pleased with the sound quality. I would definitely see a show there again.

Iconic metro Detroit venue still sounding awesome. I thought maybe nostalgia colored my memories making me think highly of St Andrews Hall was *the* place to see indie bands, but I revisited it 22 years after my first experience and it is still amazing. I'm not a fan that they roped off the entire upper floor and make you pay to go up there, but the upper balcony is not a make or break deal for the experience. Sound is still solid as hell, awesome bar staff - Detroit is not Detroit without this joint

One of my favorite venues. About 500-800 capacity, so not huge shows but you can still get a good crowd. It's just a couple blocks off Jefferson and parking is cheap, and close street parking for free can be found. The venue routinely gets great artists and bands.

Whoever is responsible for cutting Residentes sound off right in the middle of his performance is a real buster...this was the first time he s ever been in Michigan in his entire career and this venue did him dirty. He is an icon to our Latin American culture. The least you could of done was let us have this night...

The staff were absolutely amazing with my mother who is in a wheelchair. They took the time to carry her down the stairs and kept checking on us throughout the entire time we were there. Absolutely amazing staff.

Old school venue has been well maintained. Was well run, even with organizing the long line of people queuing up to get in with lots of slushy snow on the ground. Bathrooms were clean, bars and coat check quick and painless. Had to take off a star for the long wait, standing all night, for the show to begin an hour and 15 minutes after doors opened. Sold out show made for a long night standing, packed Iike sardines. But maybe I'm just old and would not have minded as much a decade ago...

Sound quality is good unless there is a loud show going on in the Shelter downstairs. The balcony is a cool feature if you can get the special tickets for it. The bartending staff needs to be more careful about overserving and the bouncers shouldn't let drunk people in; there are always a few idiots who ruin the experience for everyone else.

I've lost count of the amazing shows I've seen at St. Andrews Hall and The Shelter. It's a small venue, so there's no bad view in the place, and there's a balcony for those who don't want to hand out on the main floor. The ambiance is a bit gritty, which is perfect for the acts that play there.
