Ticket price seemed high but with all the displays along with the ship itself and the preservation work, it was well worth it. Even better, the ticket can be used again for the rest of the year!

Amazing day out. Allow plenty of time to see everything. 3/4 of the museum is about the boat, with the rest dedicated to Brunel's other amazing achievements. The paper guide suggests the best way round the museum, giving background and context to the ship before stepping on board. There is plenty to see on the ship with access to various areas over 3 floors, and even a chance to climb the rigging.

Tickets are valid for 1 year, so you can go back as many times as you want.

Museum about very significant ship and person, with great insight to early Victorian era. However, on overall I feel museum is lacking on something, when compared to other ship museum I've been to (I'm comparing to HMS Victory) Many rooms were closed in the ship unfortunately. And almost no signs around the ship either.

Totally loved the whole experience. All of the staff were very informative and more than happy to talk to the visitors about this wonderful ship and exhibition. Would love to go back to take in more of the fascinating information.

We visited the ship yesterday 16th August. Our visit started very stressful trying to get to the car park. A lot of the roads are closed off it took us 40 minutes + a kind gentleman to get us there. We sat in the cafe for something to eat More

The SS Great Britain is one of the must see sights in Bristol. While it is relatively expensive to visit, the museum and ship are well worth it. The inside of the ship is really well decorated to replicate the inside as it would have been, and going underneath to see the hull is a great idea. The museum section is also really interesting with lots of detail.

We visited with some Australian friends whose great-great grandmother had emigrated on this ship. They we enthralled, in particular by the accommodation and the re-construction of the kitchens, food storage areas, animal housing areas etc. More

Fascinating insight into the restoration and archiving work that goes on behind the scenes. It is great to track through the history of the SS Great Britain and experience the interior which is laid out with period furnishings and props. Will definitely return when the next part of the museum opens next year.

Absolutely gorgeous, and the tour guides give you so much information. You really find out what the SS Great Britain would have looked, sounded, and even smelled like during three different periods of history.

A great museum for the whole family to enjoy. The new Brunel section is really worth visiting to. Plus your ticket allows free return visits for a year. An amazing piece of Great British history!

The boat is well preserved and there are little interactive things to do in the museum as well as a show performed by "Brunel" which is great for kids.
Inside the boat is well displayed, mannequins show how passengers travelled with audio and even smells recreated. The attention to detail is awesome!

An integral part of the cultural tapestry of Bristol, Isambard Kingdom Brunel's SS Great Britain is a fascinating technological marvel, the first iron-hulled, screw-driven steam passenger ship in the world. After a turbulent history, the Great Britain spent some time in the Falkland Islands as a rusting coal bunker, but was bought by a local businessman in 1970 and returned to Bristol.

Today she has been restored beautifully by a team of dedicated and talented staff, and is displayed in a unique setting in the same dockyard in which she was initially laid down. The museum also includes a large converted stores warehouse with many other exhibits related to the ship, and a small cafe just outside. Most definitely worth visiting for any visitors to the city.

Excellent value - breathtaking exhibit. Good drama performances. Massive engine and well refurbished decks and rooms. Spent 3 hours there. Dry dock experience us really good - going down beneath the water line.

Fantastic museum, can recommend it to anyone interested in the history of Brunel as well as the SS Great Britain. Fancinating learning what it would have been like sailing aboard such a historic ship. Don't forget to visit 'being brunel' for a tour through the life of this great man

Highly interesting and informative.

Great day out for all the family - and my wife, who I've taken separately.

Beautifully restored, friendly staff, and incredibly interesting and well told

A wonderful experience. Even on a boiling hot day, we persevered down into the dry-dock, and whilst melting, took in the wonder that is SS Great Britain. Highly recommended. As are all the experiences in and around the area. Staff are friendly and helpful. They appear to be happy in their work, and this is shown by the way they are with all the visitors.
I hope that I shall return one day, as there is so much to see and do, I would like to spend more time there.....Excellent.
