A fantastic day out for the whole family. Thoroughly recommended.
A fantastic day out for the whole family. Thoroughly recommended.
A view of days gone past. Absolutely amazing, well worth the admission cost to see how travel has changed
Top quality exhibitions. Very intersting to actually stand in those tiny cabins, and see how they lived and cooked aboard ship.Good information, well presented , for all age groups.Dock side displays too. Worth a visit.
Great history .fab visit
Well worth the entrance fee
I m not the typical museum visitor but I enjoyed the ship and one of the pre-museums before the ship taking us through the different years and journeys of the ship.
Excellent hands on, interactive museum and we'll preserved ship with good internal ship layout.
Nice staff always smiling, great britain great experience ty
Great place to take the kids - my two (9 and 6) really enjoyed it. Lots of interactive stuff and good people on hand to ask questions of etc.
This is well worth a visit. Really interesting and a well thought out display.
This place certainly is amazing. Not disappointed at all. Definately returning
The amazing epic of the 1st modern ship. Great respect for the people who brought the wreck from the end of the world and so far have been carefully refusing it. Worth seeing!
Is a really nice place to go around, I like the fact you have a boarding pass that you can stamp on the way around.
Is a great look into our history and there is plenty to do and look at.
Fantastic day. Extremely interesting. The restorations have been brilliantly completed. A visit is highly recommended.
Very nice visit, the boat is beautiful and the atmosphere of the time is great.
As you get older history becomes more important, maybe because you are involved in more of it....
If you want to see how one man formed so much of our modern life s without you even knowing, then this is a must visit.
Just loved it!!! This was our second visit and will return again!!!
Very interesting, not too busy.. several different areas to see and lots of interacting sections for the kids. Some stairs and narrow corridor sections could be an issue for larger push chairs.
Went to a friends wedding here in the summer. Drinks on deck before the ceremony and then decent meal below deck. Shiver me timbers! Lovely ship and a wonderful piece of history.
Great exhibition about this fascinating ship. Good for both adults and children. Days when the reenactment group are present really bring it alive.
This is a really great museum experience, informative, interactive and fun!
Fascinating museum. The ship itself is a highlight. Engaging for all ages. Highly recommend.
A very good day out, exploring the Father & Son genius..
A fantastic piece of history with the added bonus of the Ragged Victorians attending, depicting the hardships of life in the Victorian era.
Amazing and interesting musium with interesting history, get once and all year welcome back for free grate offer, nice and polite and helpful staff, enjoyed every minute with my family, I recommended everyone who come to Bristol for spend some times visit this lovely place. We definitely will back soon
Fantastic piece of Brunels Engineering and well restored to give you a great idea of a ship from the past
Put yourself in the shoes of the passengers of the time.
Went with kids aged between 9 and 17. All loved it and found it very interesting. Gift shop had some really cool things in it too.
Great Ship very interesting and loved the realistic scenes and smells on board ship.
Good afternoon out in Bristol. Children enjoyed all of the exhibits and there was a lot to see. Excellent learning experience that brought history to life.
Fantastic value. The exhibition and all round experience has certainly improved since our last visit years ago. The tickets are valid for a year. We will be back
Gorgeous! Perfect reconstruction of a passenger ship of a century ago. There are also statues that embody the passengers that seem real, even with sounds and voices in the background! Only problem: my 7-year-old son when he saw the butcher had a hysterics and we had to get out
We wanted in particular to visit the ' Being Brunel' exhibition which opened last year . We read everything and so Interesting. We were in there several hours...and there's lots more to visit and see regarding the SS Great Britain.. as we have been a few times before we devoted our time to doing what we especially wanted to do.
As the ticket lasts one year we shall certainly go back and look at everything we want to look at again. Excellent!
Amazing place to visit, well worth the enterance fee.
We have visited before but the new visitor centre was good.
The SS Great Britain is a great place to visit with the family, the 3 areas to visit were great, Its a bit pricy but it's good.
Performed there last night as part of an event, fantastic venue and really lovely staff!
Well thought out and beautifully presented. I really fancied climbing the rigging, but left it to the youngsters.
I have loved the experience. Nice staff, The ship it's well kept, also the inside bit it's amazing. I would put more interactive things for adults and kids, but overall it's very good place to spend one afternoon.
Exceeded my already high expectations. One of the very best early industrial age exhibitions I have ever seen. Be sure to see the working display of the retractable propeller and the working model of the steam engine. The whole thing is nuts incredible!
A classy museum, everyone should be there. Walking with ... food 2-4 hours.
One of the must-see if you visit bristol, very well maintained and fun experience!
You have to do it ...its a must but takes around an hour and that's it.
Once you get a ticket it can be used for a full year. Admission is expensive but this helps to take the sting out of that. Very interesting exhibit with the chance to dress up inn Victorian clothes. Highlight is how realistic the smells are that have been added on board the ships such as vomit and freshly - baked bread!
Top tourist attraction in Bristol. Definitely worth a visit. SS Great Britain has a long story and one of Brunel's ingenuity creations which will inspire you and young children especially if they are keen on engineering and mechanics. They also offer venue hire for meetings, conferences, weddings, dinners, and private parties.
Amazing story and one of the best presented museums in the world.
A good experience. Interactive displays, mannekins doing various things. The galley was a imayed well. Worth a visit.
Well worth a visit. "Being Brunel" - the new exhibition on Brunel is interesting and tells an excellent story before embarking on SS Great Britain. Initially, you go 'under the water' to appreciate the ship and its conservation and can then wander around the ship- as well as climb the masts (additional fee). Pretty much fully accessible to wheelchairs.
A fantastic museum. The mix of interaction, facts, sounds & invention is excellent. The efforts made to make this Bristols top attraction are there for all to see. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it.
Tickets are valid for a year, a lot to see and enjoy. You can even smell the history, really impressive.
Located near the center of Bristol, the SS Great Britain is a must visit for any traveller in the area. The history behind the ship is amazing and is well presented. Exploring the ship itself was also a great experience, with many rooms decorated to represent what it looked like back in it's former glory days.
Ticket is for unlimited visits within a 1 year period.
One of the most impressive ships in the UK. A must see
Interesting exhibit and museum for a reasonable price.
A well-renovated and maintained ship with an amazing history. Visiting you can feel the nineteenth. travel conditions. The ticket is valid for 12 months.
It was an interesting walk through history but the lower levels smell like people have been slowly decomposing behind the walls for decades.
Very interesting and quite interactive attraction. Tickets valid for one year around. But keep in mind, when returning, you will be asked for the ticket and photo ID. Would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting and exploring Bristol.
I worked as a volunteer in the early years of restoration
Had an absolutely great time. The exhibits all felt so real!
Staff very helpful given the current situation, learned alot about the ship & we thoroughly enjoyed our visit
Loved visiting the SS Great Britain. Such an iconic ship to Bristol.
Prices are really good. It is 16.50 for an adult, 5 - 16 year olds 9.50 under 5s free. Unlimited trips back for 1 year in with the price.
Lots of interesting things for adults and children to learn all about this glorious ship!
Well restored to a near representation of how it would have been originally
