Good aquapark, lots of indoor slides, some outdoor. Great fun. Bought a 6 hour ticket and didn't get bored. Cafe needs a better menu and some staff need the 'customer service mojo'. A good day out!

Not a bad few hours out. It Is however fairly dirty, I.e. the changing rooms, loads of plasters sat on flume grates - as in 30 odd on one (more than a days worth). It's also expensive... which you wouldn't mind paying if they kept the place clean.

Great day out! Quite expensive and even the spectators who aren't joining in have to pay to get in. Some of the slides could do with a refurbishment though as areas are starting to look a little worn and old.

Visited mid January when it was less busy and a bit cheaper. Visited a couple of times over 10 years ago but this time with a 7 year old. 7 year old was fine and went on most of the rides, just avoided the scariest. Within half an hour was going up the stairs and down the slides on her own and didnt want to leave after over 3 hours.
In case anyone isn't aware, there is no actual swimming pools here, just slides and splash areas for under 7's.
Overall good, the changing rooms and toilets were fairly clean. The temperature of the water was ok but it was a bit cold if stood queuing for rides. We arrived just before 11am and it was fairly quite but by 1pm the queues were much longer, from 5-15 minutes depending on the ride. I would imagine the queues are much longer in summer. At 1st it is quite difficult to navigate but after a couple of rides it started to make sense. The rides are well sign posted and there are posters around which explain how 'severe' the rides are.
We also purchased meal deals which you can eat without having to get changed (although it was a bit drafty as the cafe is close to the entrance) the food was of a higher standard than I expected and were fairly cheap. There are plenty of other places at Tower Park to eat including Burger King and TGI Fridays if prefer not to eat inside poolside.
May return later in the year when the outside area is open but not on a hot day as I would imagine it would be too busy to get value for money.

Ok, If I was a teenager I would probably review this differently but I went as a family unit comprising of 3 adults & 4 children aged 5-11.
Date of visit was 25th August 2014 (Bank holiday monday), it was raining heavily.
On arrival I was pleasantly surprised that the somewhat queue filled narrow entrance was dealt with relatively quickly, it was from this point you began to realise that any information or questions you may have visiting for the first time could only be answered by reading the various signage, with no help or information being offered by any of the staff.
The changing rooms are the bare minimum required but sufficent.
Apart from a map at the end of the changing rooms you have no clue as to what is actually on offer or where, and you can miss the map since you are kept busy ensuring you have lost no-one as you attempt to find something to do.
I took my youngest into the trainer pool which in itself is 1 metre in depth, too deep in my opinion for small children. The life guard in this room would be unable to tell you if someone was drowning as he spent the whole time looking at some literature whilst talking on a phone.
The flume queues in fairness although long did move through quickly but you always had a "hemmed in" feeling. Similar I guess to cattle before they are slaughtered.
The complex overall has a "well used" feel which coupled with the lack of initial information and disinterested staff makes you feel a bit let down.
Even the staff member tasked with cleaning the changing room floor quite happily let over 15 of us wait whilst he took over ten minutes to mop less than half a square metre of floor, completely oblivious and unapologetic that the only reason it took so long is because he had no interest in the task.
But these are things which irritated me and tbf, there seemed to be plenty of people enjoying themselves, only equalled by the ones shivering looking lost and confused!!

so IMO to summarise.
Cost - Good
Customer service - poor
Attraction age group - 10yrs - 35yrs, older without young children
Overall feel - old and cramped
Would I love it if I was a teenager? - probably although the concentration factor is probably limited to around 3 hours.

Not the worst place but not for parents with young children to look after, especially as you can't go down the slides together.

Not a bad place to visit but our experience was tainted by the ignorant receptionist. If you arrive after 10:30 the minimum charge goes up significantly making the visit far too expensive for a 1990's water park.

Came to Poole specially to visit this waterpark with the Grandkids, As a spectator (disabled) it is not a friendly place. Steps down to access toilets. Not a good view from where we were sitting, front lower level. Told by Cafe assistant food is never available until 11:30am so if you are a paying 2 hour visitor or spectator you can forget muffins, sausage rolls etc you are made to feel you are a cheap class ticket holder, they only cater for 6hr visitors. The whole place needs updating as decor very old and tired. Not worth the money!!

Time it right and this place is so much fun. At busy times you can spend longer waiting than enjoying (otherwise 5*). The summer also opens the outer area which is cold but great fun! Don't bother with the good and drink there are much better places to eat right next door.

Go early - avoid the rush! Splashdown is a very fun waterpark and of course in the summer months is very popular! We arrived nice and early... meaning flumes were very quiet! We got a lot done in the first hour. It's was lovely as it was queue free... As things got busier so did the queues! Saying this, it's a great water park with lots of flumes and water rides. Ideal for families too! Make sure you book in advance during the busiest months. Staff seemed very friendly

My family and I attended splash park today while on holiday in the area. We all had a lovely time and there was lots of things to do. Staff were very friendly but it was a shame they didn t know if a ride was green or red as it was my daughters first time and by the time I d lined up I d forgotten. Changing rooms were a bit horrid but that was not for want of trying by staff to keep on top of it. If we were in the area we would come again.

Loved this place for a day out! Went with my partner on a Monday evening and it was such good fun we stayed on the flumes e.t.c for a good 3 hours and had a good laugh. Some of the slides were a bit thrilling! Staff were helpful and polite, I would say the price is worth what you get for a day out. It is great having music on throughout too! Definitely will be coming back.

Excellent place for knackering out kids and adults alike! My son's had a right hoot going down the different water shoots! Staff are helpful and polite and the changing rooms were clean considering the amount of people coming in and out. Well worth the money!

Pretty good day out. Would have been five stars if the queues weren't so long but I understand that can be hard to tackle. The slides outside are amazing and the new version of the space bowl is pretty cool. Would recommend to people who don't mind waiting a little while

Not bad at all for the price. Been a few times and highly recommend. Only thing that prevented a 5* review was some of the lifeguards were a tad unfriendly and seemingly disinterested.

Kids loved it. I would have enjoyed it more if it had been a bit warmer and I could have sat outside while they played. Odd thing to moan about but the carpark is shocking nowhere near big enough and the spaces are way too narrow.

Would be a nice place to visit but spur of the moment, overcrowded and petty rules cannot wear specs. How r u to look after your kuds if u csnt see them well. Which is ridiculous as been to more dangerous waterparks with no issues . 2 stars as got a refund

Splashdown Poole has some fantastic water slides, but the layout of the park is sometimes quite confusing. There are quite a lot of speed slides in the park, showing a lack of family friendly ones. Overall, the park is worth the money.

To make things even better they could add a swimming area but for how much you pay it s totally worth it!!

Went to splashdown for a child's birthday recently. There were more adults than children that went. I have to say I definitely didn't feel out of place. It was a great 2 hours spent, loads of rides, some too scary for me to go on. Will definitely be going back and soon I hope.

Great place lots of slides (some are outside so bear this in mind if its cold!) but beware of queues and car parking is a nightmare as there is so much on the site ie bowling, KFC and Tescos etc

Nice place to visit with the family. The tubes should however be transparent as it gets very dark inside and one cannot enjoy the thrill of the ride. Changing rooms and the loo's could do with a lot more cleaning.

The kids love splashdown and I have to say I had a good time too. It is great to have something different to do in Poole and free parking at Tower Park too. I hope Splashdown stays for years to come.
