Visited mid January when it was less busy and a bit cheaper. Visited a couple of times over 10 years ago but this time with a 7 year old. 7 year old was fine and went on most of the rides, just avoided the scariest. Within half an hour was going up the stairs and down the slides on her own and didnt want to leave after over 3 hours.
In case anyone isn't aware, there is no actual swimming pools here, just slides and splash areas for under 7's.
Overall good, the changing rooms and toilets were fairly clean. The temperature of the water was ok but it was a bit cold if stood queuing for rides. We arrived just before 11am and it was fairly quite but by 1pm the queues were much longer, from 5-15 minutes depending on the ride. I would imagine the queues are much longer in summer. At 1st it is quite difficult to navigate but after a couple of rides it started to make sense. The rides are well sign posted and there are posters around which explain how 'severe' the rides are.
We also purchased meal deals which you can eat without having to get changed (although it was a bit drafty as the cafe is close to the entrance) the food was of a higher standard than I expected and were fairly cheap. There are plenty of other places at Tower Park to eat including Burger King and TGI Fridays if prefer not to eat inside poolside.
May return later in the year when the outside area is open but not on a hot day as I would imagine it would be too busy to get value for money.
