Valentines Day dinner was overpriced, food was good, but terribly presented and waited 1:30 min from arriving getting first course.

We were with a friend for lunch. This is a very nice place and enough space. You can sit outside and feel comfortable . The food was well cooked and the taste is wonderful. Everything was fresh and especially the salad. Thanks
Food Ok Sorry
The Manhattan are the Best in Town
Don't waste your time or your money, tired, sub par food, served with a side of blah.
Worst dinner ever. We booked a table for two, and when we walked in on time they hold us at front door for five minutes without reason. Once we sat down, no one come with menus for another ten minutes. Finally when some one come to answer questions, they didn t give us the chef s menu for the day and went back to take. The wine I picked run out, so they sent someone to talke to me for another one, this didn t piss me off but how long this took piss me off. The fun just start. During the courses serving, they didn t give us forks for two times. I have to tell them in person to speed the process, TWO TIMES. We walked in with smiles and joy, only half way through I already felt the money is wasted and night is ruin.
Well I can say it was a pleasure for me except the desert the taste of the ice cream of honey lavender was not really present Only The Black currant.more over the waiters and waitresses were really kind.I would come back .
This is one of my daughter's favorite spots. Service is stellar. This restaurant has changed over the years. Its patrons are younger than years ago, so the food and music have changed to adapt.
Nothing for children to eat...very limited choices...not the family dining experience I was expecting...very haughty and self-important hostess set a unwelcoming mood for the evening
Grilled pineapple, please get!
Assorted meats, yum
Buffet style side area of high quality dishes,
I really appreciated!
I cant wait to go back!!!
We tried the tasting menu and everything tasted great.. Except for the wagyu... Which was more salty than I expected. Would definitely be back for more delicious food
SLS Hotel, Walking around the neighborhood is disgustingly dirty, For the hotel who calls himself a world class luxurious Hotel, it is a shame to have such a dirty area in front side and back of the hotel.
Disastrous and a waste of money.
So we had a reservation at 630 at Spago for dinner before a show at the Beverly Wilshire.
We put in our orders around 650PM. We were 4 people. We thought that would be sufficient time before we walk over to the Beverly Wilshire at 820 to catch our show. We were wrong.
In the mean time, the waiter barely ever showed up, and when he did he wanted to touch and feel my shoulder and back. Very weird.
We did get our drinks but good luck for another round.
At 8PM we still didn t get our food, which was over an hour later. We started to get worried. It was hard to hunt the waiter down to ask him where the food was but we were able to. After we did that he never came back and really disappeared.
We wanted to just get the check and leave. It became a stressful experience. 2 of us ordered the veal in the picture and the other 2 ordered halibut and another fish.
At 820PM the food shows up.
I wanted to leave it and go so we don t miss the show but I was convinced to just gobble up quick by the time we get the check and pay then we ll leave.
The veal was chewy as hell and very overcooked. I had ordered it medium. The 2 of us that ordered it had the same experience. Tasted very bad for so much money.
I tried my girlfriend s halibut and it was so dry and very sticky and overcooked. Zero flavor. She had 2 bites and left it.
We ran to our show and barely made it after waiting for so long and then having to eat expensive bad food.
What a waste. I felt scammed and ticked off rather than being happy with a fine dining experience.
Our bill was 590 dollars. We still left the useless unfriendly ghost waiter a 20 percent tip but we re not going back to Spago again I can tell you that much.
No manager ever showed up to apologize or even thank us.
Bad experience.
Sorry Wolfgang Puck, your staff made you look bad.
Some of your other restaurants are much better.
Good food. Always busy. Try the dinner on the patio.
Adequate portions, each menu item tastes distinct, quick, attentive service. The location is great!
Excellent food, fair and reasonable prices for restaurants in the area, good service and great atmosphere! It's one of my favorite places in LA, every dish is beautifully plated and tastes even better than it looks. Definitely FIVE STARS!
nice ambiance, great music. host and hostesses are too avant garde with Mohawk hair on hostess. Food was mediocre. Service was OUTSTANDING !! We only wish the food could have been as lovely as the service.
it is probably the most famous restaurant in LA, but for a good reason: the food is consistently great. the price and staff, that's a different story, high and snubby.
My party had a great evening and no one wanted for anything. At the end of the evening, evidently the staff had had a great time with us as well and I was given an autographed cookbook. 6 Stars!
What else can be said about Spago? It's a legend, it's a dinosaur, it's a vanguard, it's a time machine to the 90's, it's everything that is wonderful and terrible about LA at the same time. It's weird to go there and think about how so many of the "fancy LA restaurant" cliches began here. The food is still fantastic, and it's a remarkable place especially at lunchtime, where power producers, Beverly Hills socialites, and real estate agents eating alone while looking at listings all congregate. My dad and I were nobodies but we were seated in a fantastic section, treated like kings, and had great food. Big plus for them for not being snooty at all. And on the way out we saw Sidney Poitier walking in. Bonus!
Went for parents anniversary early evening Saturday. The reception was warm and friendly. We had a London Calling cocktail which was very smooth. The service was excellent, they really take care of you. Food was the star of the show. Uni More
My favorite spot for quality californian food. I like it here, great food & service. The service here is attentive. The bill was fair for the quality of the food. I see why this place has a lot of good reviews.
The breads are made daily and are amazing. Wolfgang puck really put his heart and soul into this place. Bravo!
The service is good, and my previous visits were excellent however this time the tikka masala sauce was really plain and drastically declined from the previous times. Hopefully they regain that amazing flavours that I came back again and again for.
The food was amazing but the service was a little underwhelming for this class of restaurant.Ambience for Friday night seemed very touristy.
Very fashion restaurant. The wine list is amazing!!! Chic and elegant.
We had a really wonderful meal at Spago. The food, drinks and service were excellent. Whenever we are in the Beverly Hills area, we go to Spago for that 'special' dinner. This is a pricey meal, but well worth it!
This was our first visit to Spago, and it won't be our last. We asked about a tasting menu and after some checking we were told that they would be happy to do a five-course tasting menu what a great choice. We were started with several delicious amuse bouche items followed by our five courses, each of which was fabulous.
good food, nice atmosphere - friendly yet impersonal and inattentive staff.
Very good food and very nice staff due to an introduction. Expensive.
This place is super great! Came for my birthday dinner, and my name is Spago, so it was meant to be. Seafood miso ramen for Birthday McGillicutty (not my real name lol it's Spago) and my girlfriend got the original chickky ramram. Sweet Jesus it was flavorful if my name isn't Spago, which it is. I will definitely be coming back. FYI - the steamed dumplings are scrum-diddly-umptious.
The food & service is everything U'd expect....beyond excellent!!!
Food was great!!! Can't have dairy they were able to accommodate. Had the Black truffle pasta- Well worth it!! The Wagyu steak, squid pasta with lobster, all excellent, would come back for sure!!!!
amazing food ! came here with friends ! had fun alot there!
The prime rib is out of this world. It's always good. Food was all very good and service too.
Great food with an amazing atmosphere! Wolfgang Puck also greeted tables through lunch. Great experience!
A very delightful experience. The quality of the food and service was one of the better places to dine if in the area. A very nice place to eat.
A glass of wine and some tasty bread and you're good. Portions are a little bit TOO small.
10/10 atmosphere
10/10 food quality
9/10 food portion
10/10 service
Can t wasn t to be back, thank you. The oysters were phenomenal, the steak was cooked to perfection. The sashimi app was very good, the tuna app was not bad, the cone salty/sweetness is a little overwhelming - the tuna tho 10/10.
This was our first time dining at Spago and the entire evening was absolutely enchanting! From the moment we walked in, to the time when we left, everyone at Spago made us feel so welcome! Our server, Adelina, was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the food. In fact, the entire wait staff was always present, yet never intrusive. My loup de mer was expertly prepared, as was my husband's rack of lamb. The cocktails and desserts were insanely good! If you find yourself in Los Angeles, you must make dining at Spago a priority!!
Seating was available both indoors and out side. Reservations were not required.
Service can be slow, but the place still easily deserves 4 stars.
Great service, nice ambiance, food was good, but seemed....a little off, like the chef was having a bad day.
Not good like it was years ago. Quality went down as prices went up. Not worth the money spent. Avoid this ripoff and spend your money somewhere else.
Best sea food in town. Make sure to try fries and flavorful tap pitcher Root Beer. Salmon was flaky and moist. Fish and chips (I recommend Red Snapper) were delicious.
A place where you can eat in a pleasant atmosphere.
I had a wine pairing with a set dish, but the wine pairing was great. The manager gave me a kitchen tour, took pictures, and was a Michelin restaurant with excellent food and service.
I LOVE Spago. I have had many delicious meals with fantastic service (even with my young daughter-- they made a mickey mouse shaped pizza). Cocktails are interesting and perfectly balanced. I love the ambiance. It may be loud, but that is because people are enjoying themselves :)
Polished service, food was excellent. Great evening
Such a beautiful place. Service and food are excellent. Plus great wines by the glass options.
Loved this place, fantastic food, and the chance to spot a celeb. We had a great meal here.
Having champagne at the bar before dinner is great.
Love love love Spago!! They have a great selection of delicious food
"Spagz", as we affectionately call it, is one of the few Los Angeles restaurants that lives up to the hype. The cocktail recipes are fantastic and expertly prepared, and the cuisine divine. If you are really splurging, get the Wagyu beef tasting (about 6 bite sized pieces) to share with the table. Oh, and don't come to this restaurant if you are the type to complain about prices... it's probably not for you. Bon apetite!
Absolutely the most amazing restaurant in Los Angeles. I've been to all of them but this one next to Nobu Malibu stands alone. You want amazing food and service as well as ambiance there is no other place to go.
Mediocre food, cocktails and service.
I was able to get a bar seat for one at 1730 without a reservation. They did have nearly half the bar seating reserved though.
I got the corn chowder and the smoked salmon pizza.
I don't have an issue for paying a premium for good food, but everything was unremarkable.
The servers were more interested in chatting with the repeat customers and didn't explain the menu properly (they had a tasting menu I wasn't aware of until they told a different customer). I had to repeatedly remind them for initial water and dessert menu.
The bread tray was probably the best dish.
5 star review my pals and I are regulars here and this is a great cali restaurant. The menu is the best I mean I can't name all the great plates and desert available along with the greatest service around.
Just make sure you dress up a Little something....
If you want excellent food, wine and service, Spago never let's you down. I have never had a bad experience here!
Fine spot for quality American food. Food with real quality ingredients. Next time I'll be back with my friends. Prices are fair I would say. I can see why they have a lot of positive reviews.
Luxury dining. Great atmosphere. I had the chef's tasting menu special, which was a 13 course meal. It was fabulous. I highly recommend ,if you are having a special occasion.
Excellent decor, service, and food. Endive salad and halibut with artichoke were amazing. They also serve three kinds of hummus with delicious bread assortment.
LA institution. Great service. Food was good, kinda pricey. But it's spago, duh.
In a heart of beverly hills
Overpriced restaurant, the food is not amazing, but the location is
Spago is a real treat. Fabulous service, friendly staff, excellent food. Plus a marvelous atmosphere.
Great service and everything we had was fantastic. Staff made sure we were well taken care of.
Perfection on a plate! The most delicious handmade Angolletti!
Cant go wrong here. The omelet was outstanding and so was the salmon pizza
Love how the wait staff keep an eye on every detail
We have eaten here five times in the last year and 4 of 5 experiences have been fantastic; with one visit only being less than perfect. The 4 perfect visits we had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The one time we ordered off the menu was for lunch and was only great not exceptional.
Service is as good as it gets and the food is crazy good. Even the one dish that was not my favorite (Squab) was still good (my wife disagrees. Squab is baby pigeon and she could not get over it, but she is sitting next to me and still insists she just doesn't like the taste). They serve at least 12-15 different tastes and the wine pairings are incredible. We have a server we really like, but the reality is that all of our interactions with the staff have been great.
I have been here now for more than 6 times I believe and it is always top notch, always. The service, the food and the ambiance is simply what you expect in a restaurant like the Spago. You feel like home when you come here. I did a little bit of research and found out that it belongs to Wolfgang Puck, a Chef from Austria and Austria is famous for Wiener Schnitzel, best part is, they serve it here in L.A. and it is very very delicious.
Come here and try it out - you ll love it!
I recommend checking this lovely restaurant out if you can. I eat out a lot & have been wanting to come here for a while. The space inside is approachable & clean. All of the staff was really sweet here.
We tried many things on the menu for lunch & really only had one thing we didn't love. I definitely want to try the prefix menu next time we are in.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Wolfgang himself & he is extremely laid back & kind.
we went for a good friend's birthday and let me tell you my taste buds are still in overdrive 4 days later. Laurent took wonderful care of us and we are eternally grateful.
This restaurant is not for the frugal taste buds. This is for the foodie who loves exploring various flavor combinations and a variety of creative menu selections. I hate to lessen the quality of the dishes with the following descriptions but in the interest of time... We had the octopus ceviche, octopus ink pasta, the salmon pizza and the Caviar. All were so worth the experience. We are still fantasizing about the meal. The icing on the cake was when Wolfgang Puck himself came out of the kitchen and took a few pictures with us. Probably the coolest experience ever.
This place is super upscale so dress to impress. Excellent everything.
Service was phenomenal. They came to us many times to check up on everything. It was easy to get what we want when we want it and that is what a 5 star restaurant should be like (i wish all restaurants really). I ordered the delicious Scottish Salmon while my friend ordered the duck! The chef kinda surprised us when he brought out the WHOLE cooked duck to show us how fresh it was! We weren't sure if we were supposed to laugh or cry at that moment, but it was amazing. We enjoyed our dinner. This is super elegant place.
American food... so good. I was so stuffed. Service treated us so nice.
Fantastic food. They have been consistent for years. Only complain that I have , if they are busy the service becomes to slow.
