Great company to work for, friendly and challenging environment.
Refused to pay the rest of my truck off bc i totaled my truck and put the gap insurance on it and they said that i got 2 tickets at the time was the reason they denied my claim which is bs it doesn't matter if i got tickets or not this company was supposed to pay off the rest of my loan this company needs to be out of business bc its a fruad company if it doesn't get resolved i already got a lawsuit waiting and i will sue this company so bad that it will be out of business
The worst RV warranty company ever. Spent a lot money and they rarely cover anything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR PRODUCT WHATSOEVER. Go to CAMPING WORLD. and Juan was my call center rep...robotic and only reads a script. No judgement ability. BEWARE OF THE COMPANY. Negative rating.
I requested a cancellation weeks ago due to the poor service received from this company. I am still with out a vehicle (months later that I bought just over a year ago) and even more in debt due to your inspector saying the southwest re company would not cover the engine because of a head gasket that caused the issues to begin with. I had to wait 2 weeks to get southwest re to even speak with my mechanic and then on top of that wait 1 week to get an inspector out who looked at the car and said denied. This has been the worst experience ever with a 3rd party warranty. The lack of communication amongst the team I was speaking with was incredibly unprofessional. My car was tore down with the understanding they would cover the issues due to the head gasket causing deeper issues. I am now having to figure out how to pay for an engine, head gasket and break down time. This company has sent me in hoops now just to get my warranty canceled and after completing what they requested they have responded with the same request that have been done weeks ago. DO NOT USE THEM!
I am a repair facility in Maumee Ohio and they were easy to work with and paid as soon as the work was completed. I will recommend this company for other for sure.
Like all insurance companies. Quick to take the money and quicker to deny a reasonable claim... Worthless.
"Failure to obtain prior authorization"... Yes, that's what happens when you don't return my many phone calls. As a single father of 4, I had to fix my vehicle. I can't afford to rent a vehicle indefinitely, and I couldn't wait for you to never answer the phone. Scum.
After speaking with a customer service representative at southwestre, I was redirected to their administration. There they reviewed my claim. I told them that the car dealership collected the funds to initiate the policy and showed them the proofs. After further review, we discovered that the dealership never opened the policy with southwestre and kept the funds for themselves. After a few days, a southwestre exec called and confirmed that they would honor the signed contract from the dealer and entered my policy effective. AAAAA+ Insurance!
Edit, reply to owner:
I thought I might wait to respond to this until after I received an answer, but despite it saying it would only take upto 15 business days, it is at day 17. I am afraid to give up my information due to the possibility of revenge for a bad review. What guarantees me that this will not happen?
My car was totalled in November. They sent me a gap list and I immediately responded with the requested information to hear that I would need to wait 15 -business- days JUST to get my file looked at. I forgot one thing, and they took far longer than 15 business days just to tell me that. I sent in the requested information and was told AGAIN that it could take upto 15 business days to review this. I called twice to infer if there was anything I could get that I could show to the new car place, so I could at least have a car. I got told slightly politely not to call back. Worst company ever and if this takes longer I will be lawyering up.
I have a contract on a 2011 Honda. The contract is for bumper to bumper coverage to 100,000 miles. I now have almost 76,000 miles on the vehicle and have a problem that is covered under the bumper to bumper coverage. I cannot move forward on the repair until I get approval from SouthwestRe's administrator. The service department at the local Honda dealer started calling this morning at about 9:15 CST and was put on hold. The service writer has been on hold for a total of 2 hrs. and 50 minutes in 3 calls throughout the day and has yet to talk to anyone. I have just called the main number and I am now on hold for over 10 minutes. I would advise against buying extended warranty coverage from this company as their service for claims appears to be virtually non existent.
Will only reimburse for up to a week for a rental. Claimed an inspector will be out to inspect my vehicle at the mechanic shop within 48 hours. Called on the last day of the 48 hours and they told me that it would be another 4 days before they can get another inspector out. Guess who is paying for the rental while the inspector takes their sweet time? I AM. and no, they would not extend my rental coverage. And no, they would not get anyone out there quicker.
Terrible warranty company. I regret ever buying a warranty from them
Update: I'm increasing from 1 star to 3 stars for now.
I'm still driving a rental that I'm paying for. However, they are approving a new engine that's getting installed. I'm happy with this and am thoroughly impressed. It's nice when companies can still surprise you. Will update again after everything is complete.
This company also called, First Automotive Service Corp.
I purchased service contract for a used car that i bought 3 yrs ago. I was sold 6 additional years or 75000 miles coverage for $3000. The car had 49k miles when i bought it and was told im covered until 124k miles. Today, my car has 99k miles and was told my policy expired because i reached the 75k miles. The dealership i bought it from closed. Initially one of the customer service representative said it was a mistake and was going to talk to the underwriter to fix it or give a refund. I then received a phone call saying there is nothing they can do and it is what it is. They keep saying i had coverage to 75k miles. When i had to choose coverage, there was 12 month or 12k or 24 month or 24k which was much cheaper. but i choose the best policy they have and they dont honor it. keep in mind, i did not make any claims until now, 3 yrs later. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. AVOID IT.
DO NOT DO ANY WORK WITH THEM!! THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU! LOOK OUT
I paid First Automotive Service Corp (a subsidiary of SouthwestRE). 1650 dollars for a service contract on a used car.
My transmission has now given out and they are denying coverage after a week and a half of waiting for their response with no rental because get this (direct from the report they sent me) the trans fluid is darkly colored. That's their only argument. They even noted that the trans fluid was filled to the proper level. In a car with 133000 miles the fluid will always be dark.
I know their plans are sold at small dealers around the United States but if your looking for coverage I would look elsewhere if at all possible.
Wish I had saved $1650 so I would have it for the repair.
If I could rate this company a negative 0 stars I would worst company I ever seen and delt with and denied my claim its okay though bc there getting a lawsuit filed against them when I get done getting my money from these bastards
WE ARE A REPAIR SHOP AND NEVER HAD TO WORK WITH A WORST AFTERMARKET WARRANTY COMPANY. THEY AUTHORIZE A SERVICE THEN REFUSE PAYMENT ON A "TECHNICALITY" OF PAPER WORK NOT HAVING CORRECT WORDING--STAY AWAY--DO NOT DO ANY WORK FOR THEM!!!!
