Buffet was never full, 2 pieces of pizza to choose from, and they looked like someone already chewed them

Horrible service. Mixed up a delivery order for pick up and refused to refund my money a delivered a cold pizza. Basically was told too bad. Safe to say its not an intelligent business model.

This is the best pizza! Also includes a bar, so you can get a drink with your meal. They have a pretty cool pasta menu too. Gets crowded at time though.

Wild tomato is still my favorite pizza place but maybe it's unfair to compare the two. The prices here were better. Overall I enjoyed it and the view was beautiful it's has a great drink selection but it didn't quite live up to my expectations mostly due to where we were sat and the food was not as good as I expected.

I visited Sturgeon Bay this past weekend and stopped by Sonny's. It's been a pretty long time since I had such an amazing waiter. He was super attentive, gave great suggestions, and brought the check at the perfect time without us even asking. It also didn't hurt that the food was amazing!

Pizza/ salad buffet was good for the money. Location on marina was perfect. Great service.

Great place if you have children along. Good selections on the pizza buffet and great salad bar.

Server was extremely busy and could have used help while others were just standing around. Guess this flavored our thoughts of the food. The place seems to have so much unfulfilled potential.

It wasn't good, but it wasn't awful either. The salad bar lacked options. Our chicken marsala was heavy on the salt, low on flavor. The view of the marina and bay was nice from our table. But with so many dining options in the area and this disappointing experience, we won't be back.

I ordered their "Chicago Style Deep Dish" pizza, ("Chicago style pizza" is a good third of the pizza menu and they advertise pizza on the sign outside mind you) and what I received was neither. I was so shocked to see that it was just normal pizza with the part of crust you grab being extended and folded up. The pizza itself was not thicker and the sauce was barely there. It tasted like a frozen pizza too. Not a bad frozen pizza, but a frozen pizza you would buy at the grocery store for $10 and throw in the over because you didn't want to go out but didn't want to cook either. I even asked my waitress if she got my order wrong. ***Disclaimer. I have only been there once and plan to go back one day to try something different. The food other people had looked better, the service was great, and the feel of the place was pretty good too. Plus you can't beat the location.*** If you plan to try good pizza while in Door County I'm afraid you are going to have to go elsewhere

I will not come back. Tables outside to close to each other. I specifically picked to be sited outside due to Covid precautions. Felt uncomfortable to be too close to people. Around tables were flying napkins and other garbage, not a clean place.Margarita was the worse I ever had. Food was ok,nothing special.

Large portions of pasta, but it lacked flavor. For the price you'd expect better.

I think Sonny s is a great way for friends to get together and have a wonderful time without kids or with kids and I love the people who work there they are amazing people food is delicious.

2 years ago we came here and ordered a thin crust pizza delivered to our hotel. It was amazing! The crust flaky and crispy. It was so good we decided to go to the restaurant 2 nights later for the same pizza, again amazing. Fast forward to NOW we ordered our pizza for take out on our way up to Door County. It was horrible, the thin crust was hard to chew, not crispy and flaky like we remembered. We were so disappointed. We decided to give them another try, we figured it had to of been just a bad order (maybe someone messed it up) we ordered carry out again on our way out of Door County this time we asked for it to be well done. NOPE!!!! The crust still chewy and hard to eat like it s stale, just disgusting. We tried, they failed. This is our last time there.

Great if you're looking for a pizza and a risk of COVID exposure. Was raining so we ate inside. Only one employee was wearing a mask at all. Half the patrons had no mask. At first, we were seated into a corner with empty tables between the other diners on each side. Then they surrounded our table with other diners, all within 3 feet of our table - seating all the patrons in a small section of the restaurant... all 6-7 groups. This is despite the fact that they have a large restaurant space and very few diners on this particular evening. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING WHATSOEVER.

Love this place! Might have something other than their AWESOME pizza someday! Lol

Got BBQ pizza to go. Sauce was fantastic and pizza was filling.

Nice atmosphere, great views, mediocre food and service. If it weren't for a steady supply of gullible tourists they wouldn't survive.

We have been coming to Sonny's for the past or seven years on labor day weekend, and this year they moved to their new building. They were not prepared for a bigger group such as we were. We were told 45 minutes, but waited an hour and a half, we went up to ask how much longer and they told us they just served one of the tables that they were going to give us. By then part of our group got tired of waiting, and went back to camp to make lunch. We thought they would speed things up ... nope. When they did get us to a table they gave us one fountain drink for making us wait, my wife was the only one who was drinking a fountain soda. We got our menus twenty mins later. Food was OK but potatoes were flakes, but the chicken was good. Wait staff was very good. But to wait two and a half hours to eat is wrong.

Staff was very nice. Unfortunately the pizza buffet was cold. Would definitely go back but order a pizza rather than the buffet.

The ambience is great - beautiful scenery and great bar. Buffet is great and my kids love the pizza and Alfredo.

Very nice people. But, growing up in the Chicago area, the stuffed pizza did not compare.

I think my meal was very good! I got the 1/2 baby back ribs it was so good but I could not finish it all but it was really good. I would like to come back I had such a great experience. And I sat in front of the water it was so beautiful and the waitress "Wilma"was so nice. Even though it was a couple minutes of a wait it was so worth it. But the lemonade was just a little weak. My dad's meal was the shrimp Alfredo he really loved it. Thank you Sonny' s Pizzeria for a delicious dinner!!!

This place has some incredible pizza. Not often a fan of deep dish but Sonny's is perfect. It isn't greasy or soggy like some places deep dish. Their pizza sauce is absolutely the best I've ever had. Seriously, just give me a bowl and a spoon.
They have a small bar area with a few TVs to catch a game. The building itself is really cool wood construction. They have local draft brews in house and many options on the menu if pizza isn't for you.

Everything was good except my sister and i both got spaggetti with meat sauce and we were both disappointed because there was hardly any meat in it. Very nice place, very friendly workers.

Great food at reasonable prices. Beautiful view and has outdoor seating.

This itlian restaurant is really good. The food is good, wait staff is great, prices good, great atmosphere, clean restroom.

I have had many great pizzas and this tops the list.

Service was good. Food was below average. Cold pizza on the buffet. Empty pizza platters also.

The food was fine. Great view of the harbor. You can watch ships being built and look out at both the harbor and river. My big disappointment was lack of attention to covid precautions. Several people were either not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly. There was no spacing set from other tables. As far as I could tell outside of the staff wearing masks there was no consideration into covid safety. If you are lucky enough to be vaccinated or have had it already its a great view. If you are trying to be cautious I would bot recommend eating here.

Sonny's is my favorite place to go when we are here. The food is great and it feeds you for like 2 days. Everyone is super nice.

Pizza was super good! However, we did wait over an hour for delivery. The pizza wasn't cold when it arrived though. We were glad they delivered out as far as they did!

Loved the pizza...french fries were a little stale. The view, especially during the evenings - gorgeous. Price is reasonable. Would try again.

I really did not enjoy my pizza from there. It was misshapen and mediocre. The wait was much too long for what we recieved. I did not enjoy my experience and will not be returning. The prices were too much for what we recieved. Definitely better pizzas in Door County.

Probably won't go again. Food was decent but that's all. The only thing the place really has going for it is location. Not bad, but not good service.

Amazing food and gigantic portions! Everytime I come I leave with a full to go box. I couldn't leave without a piece of Cheesecake and it's huge!! The size of the cake is worth what you pay. I loved the view, you dont need to sit by the window to enjoy the beautiful harbor view. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. We're adding this place to our favorites and coming back again when we're in the area.

Good pizza and on weekends they have bands. Fun place to go.

Wasn't thrilled with the garlic bread. Very little butter and garlic. Had the califlower crust pizza.Tasted like frozen cardboard.. wont be back.

If I could give less stars I would, was quoted 20-35 minutes for seating for party of 2. We have waited for over an hour and still have not been seated. Every time we check to see how much longer the hostess states an additional 20 minutes. This staff really need to be retrained on quote times or be fired!

Edit: Just seated a party of 4 that came in after us. We asked the hostesses why, and have yet to receive an answer. I'm convinced they are incompetent at this point.

Our server, Harlie was great!! Great attitude.

Went there twice on our trip. both times had to wait to be seated as it was busy....For good reason, the food was crazy awesome and the pizza is great as well. People don't mind waiting for good food and service. The beer selection was awesome as well. My kids said we will eat there every time we go back

The pizza is pretty good and the beer changes often with a brewery right downstairs! The view of the water makes the meal even more enjoyable. I would absolutely stop here again if I'm in sturgeon bay!

A cool location right on the water! The appetizers were like typical previously frozen then deep-fried bar food but the pizza was really good! Our server was very helpful and friendly.

Very slow and food wasn't that great, especially for the price. Took 45 min to get our appetizer, which were mozzarella sticks.

Good food huge portions for not a lot of money. Fast friendly service nice view of the lake.
