I was an intern for a very short time at Brewery Ommegang during Summer 2015. I worked for the events and food department helping set up for the Avett Brothers concert. I worked 19 hours preparing for and during the concert setting up fence posts, and moving kegs. I worked a cash box for two hours early in the evening selling beer tickets to patrons. The same box was worked by two other employees of Ommegang, and there were no change-over counts between shifts. I was later accused of stealing money from the box, was presented with no evidence, and was told I was being let go by the events manager because her supervisor chewed her out for the oversight. There was never a police investigation, and she could not prove that I had done what I was accused of. I was essentially let go because of her incompetence and because I was the most convenient scapegoat, having just started and not being an official employee. My college degree was put in jeopardy because of these events, and I almost did not graduate because of it. I would not recommend working or volunteering at Ommegang to anyone, as the events manager will fire you to save herself when it becomes convenient for her.

We have an outstanding time here every time. The beer, food, atmosphere, and the staff are the best. Beyond the drive and the distance from where you might be coming it is absolutely worth every minute when you get here!!

I am totally sad that we can t come here more often. Ommegang, I am begging you to put out a cookbook. Or alternatively be kind and give the universe the recipe for the gravy on your poutine. It s other-worldly. We want recipes!

Beers are always fantastic but it s truly the ever kind service and also amazing food that distinguishes Ommegang from the zillions of other breweries in existence.

Through COVID, Ommegang has done a great job with cleanliness, distancing, and mask policy. Even in the summer when half of Brooklyn came here to escape , Ommegang did a great job controlling the volume. To be honest it has been far more pleasant than The Before Times when anywhere you d go would be packed. Can t wait to go back!

Saw Brand New (x2), Manchester Orchestra, The Front Bottoms and Kevin Devine here over the summer. Beautiful concert area and excellent beers. Ideally enjoyed the beer they made in collaboration with Brand New, I hope to have the opportunity to try that again.

If you are in the area, definitely stop by. The tours are free, and run every hour- you have to sign up and get a ticket at the gift shop desk. Meanwhile, the tastings are $3, but netted us each a tasting of 6 of their beers, and we also got to try some of the various spreads with the complimentary pretzels to help cleanse our palate, which is how I was introduced to their amazing beer cheese, as well as beer mustard and beer garlic aioli. A tour is about 30 min, and the tasting (which you also have to reserve a time slot for) is 30 min. There isn't much grounds to walk around on, but there is a restaurant serving a menu including beer mussels, cheese and stews and crepes and sandwiches, and you can also get a flight or bottles of other beers to try.

Was a great tour! Although short , Interesting to learn about how the beer is made. The grounds are relaxing and the veiw is awesome. The cafe was ok. The food could use a little more TLC in the kitchen. Presentation is good just need to tweak flavors and not cook the meat so tough. The staff was Ok. The dining area was nice and the atmosphere was relaxing. Wait time for shared apps was a little longer than nessesary. The beer tasting was a fun experience and the service was good for that. The shop was great and got a bunch of beer to take home. (Even though it's a avilable where I am and cheaper there are some that are not distributed in my area that we were able to get at the brewery. ) Otherwise good.

I was quite impressed with the new set up as I was able to sit at the bar with foot rests and angled bar to rest my arms. It appears to me that a lot of thought went into the construction. I have some other thoughts about the beer and help, however. There is enough selection of beers to satisfy everyone though.

Today was the Ommegang brewery, I did a flight of beer and they had a really ran the gambit of flavors. They had a strong brown ale and their Hennipin drinks like a seven and hits like an eleven. My personal favorite was their IPA, it had a great flavor and a wonderful smooth taste. The building was beautiful and it a large field for my Niece and Nephew could run around and have fun while the rest of us could drink and enjoy the beers (I'm not a bad uncle I promise). The seating area was massive and had comfortable pavilion.

Lovely brewery. The building itself is a beautiful piece of the past, and the product these folks put out is amazing. The tour was great, but the samples and tap room were even better! Try the tap room fries, you won't regret it!

I have never had a beer I didn't like from Ommegang. Consistent quality and a fair price. The brewery its self is always a good time. The tour is very informative and the tastings are always great. The restaurant has excellent food and great service as well. This is by far my favorite brewery of all time I really can't say enough good things about them.

Very upscale for a local brewery. The beers are great and the service is very good. The menu is limited, but my barbeque chicken sandwich was one of the best I've had. My favorite beer was the Pale Sour.

Disappointing.

Disappointing.

We came on July 5 and they were slammed from the holiday.

The wait for a table is almost an hour... and yet there are over 10 open tables in sight.

Very disorganized.

i went here for the lumineers show which was sold out. i will NEVER go here again for sold out show!!! there were way too many people in such a small space that i was actually concerned for my personal safety. there were also not enough food trucks/vendors to accommodate all concert goers. people were waiting in line for over an hour to get food. long lines for the porta potties also. there was no waiting for beer, which was good. camping situation was not any better. i received an email saying that the parking lot would open at 2 for campers otherwise, there was a chance we would end up in the additional parking lot (which was 4 miles away - shuttle buses only run on saturday - so we would have had to walk back sunday morning if we didn't get in the main lot). email also stated that alcoholic beverages were NOT allowed in the camping area, EXCEPT everyone had alcoholic beverages. turns out that the rule was actually no glass. dan smalls and ommegang need to get their polices straightened out. waited in line for 2 hours to get into the camping area to set up my tent. then had to wait in line again to get into the music area. camping area was also split between two levels - if you weren't early, you would have to hike all your gear up a hill. i will never camp here again. too much of a hassle!!

My bf and I had an awesome time at the brewery. There was live music (which was an unexpected treat) and the vibe was non pretentious and lively. We opted to buy tickets for the tour which was short, but thorough. The food was delicious and beer flight options were awesome. The staff was super friendly and rounded out a perfect experience.

I loved it here. The atmosphere is super welcoming, almost like a picnic ground, and the beer is always amazing. My only issue was that the server didn't tell us there were specials on the lunch menu so I ordered the usual only to find out there was something amazing that day. She was also a little abrupt, very different from the attitude of the rest of the staff and patrons.

Ommegang brewery is one of my favorites. Great place for a tour and tasting. Summer concert series are always fun as well. There are no tours/tasting if you go during a concert or large event so if you want to do both, plan to arrive or depart a day after the event.

1. Waited at the bar for 30 mins for one beer and the bartender went by me and served everyone else

2. Food took over an hour to come out while a bigger table next to us who came later got their food first

3. Went to the store to get clothes, beer, ect after paying I went to the bar to get my beer and after paying they tell me I get 5% off the gift shop after buying items. I asked and couldn t get my 5% back from my purchase earlier.

4. Multiple tables open but had to wait for an hour of one of the tables that was empty

After my 4-5 hour drive to the brewery I would not come back after my experience and I think they need to fix these problems if they want people to come back.

Tours and tastings are run every hour (ie your at 2pm/ tasting at 2:30pm etc). The tour is short, but the tasting is great (even at $10) with extensive samples including their beer cheese. Very friendly staff, but place is very busy if you re looking for more of the micro scene. Huge sprawling fields behind it were great for stretching legs for my Golden. Brewery itself is not dog friendly since it is a restaurant.

While I love their beer and the one time I was able to get seated here the food was good, this restaurant/ brewery is shockingly mismanaged. The renovation is beautiful but the place is grossly understaffed. Although 40% of the tables were open at 3PM on Sunday of Labor Day weekend, the wait time was 45-1hr because there weren t enough staff to even bus the empty tables. There were beer glasses and plates everywhere outside and on tables inside the restaurant and it appeared to be just two cooks in the kitchen. It s was also surprising that on a busy holiday weekend the manager was not working (we asked). With minimal effort these operational issues could be fixed and I m sure the revenue would reflect the improvement. I am shocked that a brand like Ommegang can t figure out how to run a restaurant.

Great brewery. Kind of in the middle of what feels like know where. Good food, great beers, nice view. They were a little busy because of baseball tournaments in town, but definatly worth a look. Very nice covered back patio..... highly recommend checking out.

Fix the restaurant part of this. I know now not to come here hungry or not willing to wait twenty minutes tor a beer. The blond witch hostesses were nasty. I will never come here hungry expecting to be treated well. The Beer tasting was still a great experience. The bar pretty much catered to the people eating at the tables. People were screaming at the bartenders to get service. Alot of people went outside where you could order beers more quickly. There is nothing in the restaurant part that is inviting. Nobody smiling, bartenders that ignore you and too dark. If I want a good beer and a great meal I will be going to Long Trail Brewery. I will go to Ommegang when I want to taste a new beer or buy something from the store. I have been going here for over 15 years and expect only the best..

We go to Ommegang brewery several times a year when we come to town to race and it's always been a good experience but today it was exceptional. I want to personally thank Keri and her staff. We called before we came because we had our 6 month old puppy with us and asked if we could dine outside with her. The person who gave us the info on the phone did not know that there was an event that day that prevented outdoor dining. When we arrived they explained the situation but chose to accommodate us anyway. Not only was the beer and food excellent as always but the staff was lovely and so curtious, checking on us to make sure we were happy and comfortable every step of the way! If you get the chance to visit this brewery go! You will not be disappointed, I know we will be back for sure!

visited 6/28/18 for lunch. Two in party. Waiter was efficient and pleasant. Meal disappointing. Would have ordered an entry if we realizes how small portions were. Had the three little pigs. Billed as three sausages and potato salad. Twelve dollars for three sausages about 3 1/2 inches long, one inch wide. Very good sausage. No bread. Potato salad no more than 1/3 cup. Nice renovations but overpriced meal. Should have gone to Blue Mingo.

Both SCI and Twiddle were great. They are both way more than a bar band. As far as the food and drink, the food was tasty and the beer is the best. The prices were reasonable and the service was outstanding. I can't wait to catch another show at the brewery.

The beer is their jam, high quality and great flavor. The new building is fresh and contemporary with great outdoor seating. I would like to see their menu get a little more interesting or inspired more by the Belgium flare this company brings to the Catskills. Get the waffle with ice cream and the Sasion Rose and Sour. Overall, make this a must stop when traveling in the area.

A nice assortment of beers to accompany food offerings. We ordered a variety of appetizers, including poutine, chicken fingers, pretzels. Be aware the pretzels are huge (and taste great)! Service was not fast, but we were able to sit and enjoy the day without being rushed.

The Ommegang Brewery is a great place to visit if you are in the Cooperstown area. The beers they brew there are some of the best in the States in my opinion. The pub there is rather expensive, but the food they make is well prepared. For an order of frites (steak cut french fries) and a sandwich you're easily at $20, and that's not including your beer.

The concert series they put on in the summer are nice, with ample space on the hill to put down a chair or blanket and watch the show. Just be warned that everything inside the concert grounds are CASH ONLY with ATM's onsite that charge an arm and a leg for their "convenience".

The property is beautiful, the beer is amazing, and the food is delicious. This brewery also offers a tour that helps visitors to learn about the rich history of the place. They also host events like live music here. There's a bunch of great merch if you want a souvenir. If you're planning to take the tour, you should know that they don't allow open toe shoes or sleeveless shirts on the tour. They have crocs and bowling shirts to borrow for people who didn't come prepared.

Known for their Game of Thrones line, Ommegang produces some very unique beers! Unfortunately, the cafe was under construction while we were there but the tasting room is nice and reasonably priced. The bartender was friendly and offered short descriptions of the beers. Would like to visit again to try the food since I've heard good things about it! They also have a small gift shop with a variety of branded items and beers to take home. Overall, we enjoyed our visit!

OK beer, avoid the food.

OK beer, avoid the food.

My wife and I had been buying Rare Vos and 3 Philosophers in stores for awhile and thought we'd travel to the brewery since we live within 2 hours.

We stopped in for lunch around 1:40 pm and had a 30 minute wait - which is fine given this seems to be a popular place. Once seated, we ordered our food and beer. I ordered the Chicken & Waffle and the Neon Rainbow New England IPA. My wife ordered the Roast Beef sandwhich and the Rosetta sour ale.

We waited 30 minutes to get our food, although the beer arrived quickly. My waffle was burnt to the point where my butter knife did not cut the waffle but instead chipped off pieces. The chicken and sauce were fine but nothing to write home about. My wife's roast beef was very fatty amd impossible to cut with a butter knife. She tried to chew a bite of her sandwich but had to spit out her bite because the roast beef was impossible to chew. She and I had to switch plates. When I attempted to bite into the roast beef sandwich, my teeth wouldn't cut through the meat so I had to rip the meat with my fingers in order to complete a bite. The beef was very fatty and sold chilled. If you are going to do chilled roast beef it needs to be a different cut. If you are using this style of roast beef, it shouldn't be served in a sandwich.

Both of these entrees were $15 each. Let me tell you, even if done correctly, these were not worth that kind of money. The roast beef was maybe worth 10.95 if done correctly. The chicken and waffles maybe 12.95. We ate our entire meal because we didn't want our money to go to waste. If you don't want to waste your money, don't eat here.

My wife did enjoy her Rosetta beer, as well as the candied stout she had after. I did not like the NE IPA I had. My wife and I travel around to a lot of local and not local breweries. We enjoy trying all of the different beers. One of my favorite styles is NE style IPAs. This one was not really comparable to others I've had by "less famous" breweries. There was almost no haze and no citrus flavor to speak of.

The general atmosphere is one of indifference. We didn't really feel comfortable telling management about our food being terrible because we didn't feel they would care. Ommegang is a nationally famous brewery (did Game of Thrones go to their heads?) and they generally don't care about your experience as much as they do your wallet. Felt like just another visitor to cram into the day for them.
