Awesome food, but be prepared to wait, especially on the weekend. You get an excellent meal, large portion, at a great price. Would highly recommend if visiting Sturgeon Bay.

Sonny's has been my dad's favorite restaurant since retiring to Sturgeon Bay 13 years ago. Since they moved into the beautiful bay front building it's mine too. Beautiful up high view of Sturgeon Bay and the draw bridge. In a town of tourists the prices are very reasonable. Especially the pizza buffet and sandwhiches. Dad was a die hard Chicago thin crust guy. And this place is his taste of home.

I'm always amazed here. Service is always excellent, and the pizza is the best. I tried a new menu item, a gluten free cauliflower crust. I was impressed with the texture since it was more bread-like than I was expecting. Thank you Sonny's for thinking of us GF diners!

My husband says their recipe is different than how it was 25 yrs ago (he grew up eating Sonny's). Most pizzas are thin crust even the ones you think are going to be hand tossed are pretty thin. It's apparent to us that this company cuts corners in order to make (save?) A buck. Our Margherita Pizza had very light sauce on, little to no tomatoes and the basil was chopped so small that the taste was hardly there. They never seem to have pizza specials and even their smallest cheese pizzas are very expensive. We had previously ordered a tomato pie (a pizza without cheese; basically just pizza sauce and crust) from them and it was just as expensive as a regular pizza. The only thing good about our visit was the cheese curds.. though we don't understand why they are served with ranch sauce as marinara complements them even more.

The best deep dish "Chicago style" pizza in Wisconsin. Has a great view of the water.

Good food. A little slow in service but worth it. Large portions. Kind if a sports bar atmosphere.

When almost everything else was shut down, what a treat to stumble upon Sonny's. Amazing Italian and the servings were enough to feed two to three per entree. Highly recommend.

Pasta was drowned in sauce was hard to eat but server was nice.

Awesome location and the waitress was very great I had the new seafood muscle clams shrimp item it tasted like swamp it was the worst thing I ever ate in my life . Two of our items were very good add to her at our table but I got violently ill for four hours after I ate the muscles some we're not opened I threw them away but the broth was still Gaggy and un edible. Calimari was like rubber the cod was hard the shrimp were hard. Took another couple there because they help us out ended up not being a great time

Sonnys was a wonderful end to a wonderful day! Breadsticks and pizza and drinks outside! The 20inch thin crust pizza was full of flavor and fed 6 of us! Sitting outside in the tiki bar with a full menu was perfect-- great views! The service was excellent and prompt as well! Highly recommended!

Great views. Lots of menu choices including gluten free pizzas. Service is ok- our waitress never offered to refill our drinks. Family friendly.

The portions are huge! Bring your appetite! The baked chicken parmesan was excellent!

Staff didn't have masks on which was a little concerning...but the stuffed pizza was excellent.

That was the worst pizza have have ever had I ordered beef pizza they gave me a. Italian beef I have never hurd of Italian beef and bont ever order it it was terrible and rhe girls at the register didnt seem to care the only thing she said was that's all they have they have never hurd of American beef my family will never ever eat there again

Plenty of options to choose from. Had the baked lasagna which was amazing and a gracious serving size. Friendly staff. Cool decor with various pictures of local ships.

Stopped today and was shocked that servers weren't wearing masks or keeping their distance! Food wasn't as good as normal, seemed to be skimping on cheese and ingredients

Great pizza - some of the best in house meat lovers I ve ever had. The salad bar was okay - probably a 5/10 ranked on salad bars. Just not a lot of options or variety; I ended up making 2 trips and got the same thing each time. The pizza saved the meal though; $17 for a 12 meat lovers between two people and we had leftovers. Big fan!

Sat us right away. Food was quick, hot and great. One of our favorite places to eat.

It was very good. I personally had a 12 piece boneless wings and they were good. I liked the view of the ships outside.

They were past the time they originally said for delivery time. Everything was cold. The Chicago Style pizza looked like my blind grandma made it. Very disappointed.

Stopped in for lunch - was told the wait was 30 minutes. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes we decided to leave. Service was quite unacceptable and uncaring. Even the bar service was sub par. Such a nice location too - kinda sad.

Our server was not very good! Food was great but service not so much. We had to wait 15 minutes to get the check and our food placed in take out containers when the server knew we were done.

Beautiful old Montreal at its finest. Boat tours were fantastic.

LOVE going here, they have great pizza. We have been going here for years and the pizza is always something we crave! We have had the pizza buffet multiple times but I always suggest to order your own pizza, it has a different taste than the buffet pizza and it's amazing.

Great pizza place! We got it as take out, and the cheese pizza instantly went to the top of my wife's and mine all time favorite pizza list, and we are avid pizza fanatics! Would recommend to anyone visiting Door County!

Maybe caught them on a bad night. Pizza place not a pasta place. Waitress was at least 18 because she served me beer but guessing this was her first job. Calamari was over cooked. Pasta wasn't anything to wrote home about. Clams were grainy. Kitchen was backed up so waited over an hour for the food and they didn't offer a discount and never checked to see how we were doing. Ended up getting refills from the food runner. Even after trying to flag down a waitress.

This place is AMAZING!! BEST lasagna I have ever eaten and great staff! Will definitely be back!

Excellent location, great views of the town and bay, let alone the food is excellent. Recommend the Neopolitan Pizzas, 7 varieties, brings good memories of being in Naples, Italy. The Rigatoni Ala Sonny's is fantastic with sun dried tomatoes & mushroom in a cream sauce. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, including Peroni & Stella Artois

If you want to get great food but also Covid-19 this is the place. The bar and restaurant was jammed to gills with people not wearing masks. The bartenders were not wearing masks. People were walking around freely with no masks on. I saw a women asked to leave because she had the audacity to ask why workers and people walking around were not wearing masks. Then a worker decided to bicker with her instead of admitting fault. Overall, very surprised by the lack of care and caution for their staff and public with these terrible safety precautions. Salad was good though.

This is our first time in Door County and this was by far the best place we ve been to eat. The pizza was amazing. The pasta dishes are incredibly generous portions and even as leftovers, the food was amazing! We will for sure recommend Sonnys to our friends and family.

Food was decent and our waitress was friendly however disappointed in the lack of Covid precautions. No staff members were wearing masks, menus were stored on the table, very crowded communal salad bar still being utilized, and no eliminated tables. Should have read recent reviews prior to going, however considering every other store/restaurant we have been in this week has gone above and beyond we took for granted that everyone would be socially conscious.

Being a local I have frequented Sonny's and I really have had nothing but terrible experiences. I swear everytime I order something it is wrong. I try and try again with not having many other options for a break from cooking. This evening I called to inform the person who had taken my order that it was incorrect. My food was wrong and my entire meal would not be eaten. She apologized. I had offered to credit me the next time my family orders. She said no problem. We will give you $3.00 credit. What a joke. They did offer to send me another dinner. But this is after I waited an hour (which I understand!) I have no want to eat in another hour from now. Pass. Keep the $3.00 discount. I'll take my service elsewhere

Fast friendly service. Seated immediately to a dirty table and chairs. Appetizers we great. Deep dish Chicago styled pizza lacked everthing. Regular pizza crust just rolled up the side the pizza tray. Absolutely no seasoning in the sauce. Asked for the bread stick dipping sauce and put it on our pizza to give it flavor. Onwer please head to Appleton WI and order a UNO'S deep dish for a reference. Your business will double.

-crust should be 5/8+ thick finished cooked. And you have to use lots olive oil. Current crust very dry like pita bread.
-next ingredient is cheese yes the cheese.
-then the sauce and meats and veggies.
-then tomatoes chunks and a few mozzarella slices on top.

Will visit again. We saw pasta dishes from others customers that looked awesome.
