The hotel is a famous chain Sofitel in Dubai, on the famous palm tree built in the JBR area, i.e. almost on level ground, on an artificially built islet overlooking the sea, which in itself is very surprising and very impressive because almost not felt if you do not know this fact)))), in the hotel itself on the beach side, not far from the pool there are very good restaurants where you can meet Russian-speaking staff, which is very convenient, even if you are fluent English)))

Luxury hotel. Very isolated, courtesy bus will take you to a choice of two shopping malls otherwise it's a very expensive taxi ride. The hotel is great for families with young children although the beach is shells and coral, not too nice More

Great hotel with private beach. Very welcoming. For French speakers ask to speak with Florent from Mauritius. He is a very helpful and understandable person, he has always listened to us and responded to our needs.

Decent but needs to keep up with the maintenance of the rooms. Some touchup paint and wood work can bring the rooms back to new. Wifi signal was poor in my room. Huge hotel with many facilities. Good for relaxation

We spent a week working in Dubai and this hotel made us forget that we were there for work.
The location is a bit far from the center so you can take a break and enjoy the hotel's private beach. The various restaurants and lounges facing the sea are more than enough for those who do not want to leave the hotel. The spa and massages provide a true luxury experience. The staff is pleasant and helpful. To finish any special requests that I may have have been fully satisfied so overall I can recommend that hoyel without any hesitation.

We stayed at Sofitel The Palm for a week and had a really great time. The facility and the room are very nice and designed with attention to detail.
The staff, from the porter to the restaurant manager, who took extra time to show us the "technology" of the planted walls, is extremely friendly, courteous and forward-looking.

On the first day we arrived at 9 a.m., but we were shown where to change so that we could use the time at the pool until the room was free. As soon as this was the case, we were informed by phone.
On departure, we were able to extend our check-out by an hour without any problems, so that we could lie by the pool longer until the bus picked us up to the airport. Really great!

We were greeted by name in the Manava restaurant by the receptionists from the 2nd day onwards and the staff (with timely reservation) - without an explicit request - took us to our favorite spot in front of the waterfall, which is absolutely not common in other hotels with this number of guests .
The waiters also tried very hard and fulfilled our every wish - Wagas and Franziska in particular had served us during the days and made sure that every meal was absolutely relaxed and nice for us. They are just great.

On the last evening we had a final cocktail in the Porterhouse Bar. The cocktails were very good and the bartender kept us entertained as well. Unfortunately I don't know his name, very interesting and kind young man.

The staff at the pool are also super friendly, Moses has always greeted us from afar and tried very hard to find the perfect place for us. Even when all the loungers were occupied because we were quite late, he got us some on the beach and immediately informed us when some were available at the pool. He's really great!

One evening we ate in the steakhouse, it was also very good there, only we prefer the choices at the buffet to a la carte, which is why we always ate at Manava the other evenings. There was enough for every taste.
The rooms are super nice and very clean.

The only thing that we find a little shame are the prices in the hotel. Regardless of whether it is a minibar, pool bar, restaurants or supermarket, in our opinion the drinks in particular are overpriced. We usually like to drink cocktails, but with the prices of 15-20 , even for small cocktails by the pool, we ordered as few as possible. We have therefore completely dispensed with soft drinks for dinner or in the room from the minibar. 8 for a coke or water with your meal is just too much.

Nevertheless, our stay was super nice and we had a great week in Dubai that we will not soon forget.

Our room was spectacular! And the hotel's facilities were amazing! Our favorite was the swimming pool! We loved that the pool has an automatic temperature adjusting feature. Too bad we weren't able to try the pool with slides because it closed early. In Manava where we had our breakfast buffet. It would be great if the workers there would be a little more courteous. A "simple thank you" and "you're welcome," is so nice to hear especially when you're having an early breakfast. Overall, we really liked the hotel even if it's at the end of the palm.

Great hotel!!!

Great hotel!!!
I stayed for 4 nights with my gf in this hotel and we really liked it. Location is great and the hotel garden etc is very beautiful / well maintained. The staff was always very friendly. Of course there is some construction next to the hotel but this is Dubai and it was not disturbing us for a second. I would come again!!!

A great hotel overlooking the Arabian sea from one side and the iconic Palm Jumeirahon the other side.
The atmosphere, the pool, the beach and restaurants were super great and unforgettable.
It is a rare good place to take a vacation along with your family and your kids will certainly love it.
All water sports activities are available, and having a glass at night close to the poolit so romantic.

We loved this location! Amazing service, and such a unique feel to the resort. It's very green and clean. I definitely recommend renting a paddle board. The views of Atlantis and burj Khalifa are amazing! Definitely recommend.

Beautiful scenery, very peaceful during weekdays.

Beautiful scenery, very peaceful during weekdays.
Pool is spacious and at a refreshing temperature.
Entrance is only at 55dhs + 35% off during weekdays.

You can't smoke cigarettes nor shisha while on the sun bed.
Only one waiter to serve everyone. And not a lot of variation on the beverages.
Rocky beach, there is a warning sign of stingray, jellyfish. Within 30sec my friend got bitten.
They ran out of coffee (lol) and no coconut.

Overall still would recommend it for the price.

Conditions that are not worthy of a 5-star hotel! ** Warning to travelers with babies / children **

We had requested an apple and banana for our child (16 months old) for our suite.

First reaction from the hotel: you have to pay extra.

Words are lacking.

For future vacationers: just go over to the "Sofit" (fitness studio), there you can pick apples for free.

In response to unbelieving inquiries from the management, remedial measures were taken and access to basic fruit was granted. By the way, until our request, there were no bananas or apples at the buffet.
As a rule, children eat apples and bananas and do not want exotic fruits. That seems to be rather unknown here.
On the aforementioned night, our child had a high fever (39 degrees) and a severe rash.

In the morning we asked for help: the hotel's own nurse can only be found in the hotel from 9am.

When asked if there was a doctor who specializes in children, they first googled diligently and then put us in a taxi to a general hospital. It may be left open whether this is the optimal solution to an emergency, if the child falls ill, it is not the hotel's problem. You should rather help yourself.

In any case, one was visibly overwhelmed and at a loss with the emergency.

Back from the hospital with the feverish, sleeping child in our arms, we asked Robbie from the front desk to bring the included breakfast to the room so that we could watch over our son.

1 1/2 hours later, on request, we were informed: we have forgotten her breakfast and her sick child.

Due to the incidents, Guest Relations and the in-house doctor visited our room at lunchtime with chocolate, balloons and fruit to put us in a good mood again. Later came Farit, one of the managers, who agreed with us on all points, which had gone wrong so far. The one who later tried to calculate all drinks and to sort out the wrongly booked apple juices for the child so that there would be no economic loss for the hotel.

The efforts of the aforementioned people were obviously justified because I had already shared my experiences on the Internet at night and they wanted to prevent future guests from reading them.

Confident that things would go better for the next few days from now on, I deleted the post as a goodwill gesture. We are far from bothering this hotel, which has a good infrastructure, with trivialities on the Internet. This decision should turn out to be a mistake.

We had only expressed the simple wish: to have breakfast in the room the next morning because of the sick child. Not more.

You won't believe it, but you will certainly expect: breakfast was forgotten again - despite a personal promise from Guest Relations "Ruth".

I then informed the hotel that we no longer had any expectations. What else should you write about it?

Children & Sofitel

It's not about receiving lobsters, snails or special treatment, but rather being careful with guests and a sick child. A child needs apples, breakfast and sleep. You have to be able to rely on promises from a hotel.

The management and attitude of the hotel is a disaster.
Obviously, the hotel cannot be recommended for travelers with babies / small children, as NO consideration is given here, so the financial interests are clearly in the foreground. I would go so far as to put financial interests above the child's health, so this is more than imposing.

We loved our stay at Sofitel the Palm. The rooms are big and nicely designed, the whole resort is well maintained, all the pools are great and since there are a lot of them it feels nowhere to crowded. The breakfast was good but after 2 days we decided to avoid the Manava buffet restaurant (to crowded, to noisy, staff not very attentive) we went to the World Eatery for breakfast, they have a little bit smaller buffet but atmosphere and staff is great there. For dinner we tried all the restaurants with our half board vouchers, first place definitely goes to the Porter House, Beef and Salmon are just delicious, staff is awesome. Only small negative point is that size of the beef filet differed a lot from day to day. Second place goes to Moana, the sushi is very good. Prices for food and drinks are way too high in my opinion. We recommend book half board because you can not really go outside for dinner, there are no restaurants on the palm and it's a 30-40 minute taxi drive to Dubai Downtown. The only small things we can complain about is that our room was over the delivery zone and non of the truck drivers stopped the engine while loading (think because of air conditioning) so there was a lot of noise. The hotel calls itself environment friendly so they should force the truck drivers to stop their engines. You can not walk along the beach, only the small part related to the Sofitel.

This is an excellent resort. Brilliant for families, the 2 bed apartment suites are up to date and spacious. 3-4 heated pools and a creche for children which is very safe. Free Shuttle service which takes you to all the main malls. Breakfast is near perfect, excellent variety and faultless. Decent gym for those who like to work out and outdoor tennis courts.
