This hotel has destroyed my family holiday and turned our vacation into a nightmare! The Sofitel Palm has a serious issue with rowdy families and rude staffs. Dubai has many great hotels but Sofitel Palm is expensive, with rude staffs and attracts the wrong guests.

Easily the worst check in experience my partner and I have ever had. We love traveling however due to Covid we decided to stay in the UAE over Eid and chose Sofitel Dubai the Palm. This is a "5-star hotel" that asked us to check-in to our room ourselves. We didn't mind as we didn't have much stuff and thought we'd be considerate as it seemed they were a bit overwhelmed with few staff and more people than usual checking in. We reached the room after getting lost as the receptionist taught us the longer way - only to find out that our key card wasn't working because the panel was broken. We used the phone on the floor 3 times until someone arrived to assist us. BUT the guy left saying he would come back in 5 mins leaving us waiting puzzled and annoyed outside of the room's door in the hallway with our luggage. He didn't return in 5 mins. We went back down to the reception and spoke with a manger to demand as now we have been waiting and walking around for 50 MINUTES with our luggage. We are now assisted to the SAME ROOM with the broken panel. We were let in using the help's service card but was told we had to stay in the room and wait while they fixed the panel. We could not go out as we wouldn't be able to get back in - imagine. So then we called the manager again who upgraded our room to a suite. All and well at this point as we really just wanted a nice stay. HOWEVER upon check out we had to again carry our luggage to the reception, was asked to go and take the lift to the parking lot on our own, only to find out the lift needed a card to operate! We had to ask the reception there to call for a bell boy just so we can use the lift to the basement who came only after 10 minutes. The only reason I'm even giving this 1-star is because the guest relations manager was nice but this hotel is definitely not 5-star in terms of service, super disappointing and ruined our Eid holidays.

I booked a room with Sofitel Palm for a staycation in Dubai, and it was the best weekend for me in Dubai. Upon arrival i was welcomed by the duty manager Richa who told me that there is surprise for me, after she noticed its my birthday on my ID card. When i checked in the room I was upgraded to an astonishing place, and ofcourse i recieved a personalized gift from the hotel, like a cake made special for me. Overall, the hotel smells and feels like a piece of heaven, with great views from any angle you could imagine. Room is huge with serene relaxing furniture, the staff is genuinely happy to come to assist you from the moment you step into the hotel. Pool area is super clean and calm, with many pools around the hotels and clean beach, they even provide you with starbucks for the pool if you ordered. Thus, if your ever here this resort is a must go.

You have a priority check-in for Le Club members but because it is busy, we all had to queue at the same place... Then why do I am a Le Club member?
We booked a sea view room and got a parking view room. Got explained that it was a sea view but we were low floor... Finally got upgraded to a Palm view room. Honestly even on the 4th floor (highest) the other room would have been a parking view room.

A bit disappointing. We went there 1 week for the NYE. For the price that we pay we are waiting for excellence and it Was quite far away from that.
They are so many Othe things ! Thats not goos for the sofitel brand for me to have that kind of service.
Fortunetely Soliman helped us at the end of hour stay. He did a great job for us to have a better memory of the hotel. But still... when its done its often to late.

When I first arrived I felt a bit rushed by the front desk staff which made me uneasy, but that was quickly washed away the staff inside who took their time showing me around. I had a one hour oriental spa treatment with access to spa amenities for the rest of the day. Great experience

We did not expect the trip to be that amazing. Every member of the staff were very helpful and nice. The facilities are great, we love the view of Marina s city lights in the evening time.

I am a regular customer in Sofitel the palm and it was my fourth visit and the worst at all. First of all, I booked the room from the Sofitel website and already mentioned that I want to have a room with a good view but I really shocked about the room that they gave me it was on the lowest floor blocked by the trees and one building!! I went to the front desk and asked them to change it and they gave us other room in the third floor with a great view! The question is what is the reason for to giving us the room from the beginning??
Secondly, the photographer in the swimming pool area So pushy!! Talking too much!! Aggressive for taking photos !!! for five stars hotel it is so bad to have this service in the swimming pool area where everyone wants to enjoy and have his privacy not talking to the photographer for 15 or 20 minutes !! Really cannot imagine what they are doing!! Everyone was telling them do not take photos and we don t want to chat with you!! Don is not let them be friendly in this way we came for relaxing not talking with them and pushing them out!
Third! The bathroom was so bad!! All the day water comes out with stopping!! Nobody came for maintenance and we were suffering from it.
Fourth and the most important thing! We received the worst room cleaning service ever that I had in my life! When they clean the room we receive it without new amenities they kept old one without replacing them! Also, they did not remove old trash and some papers in the room! Adding to that they did not fix the bathroom problem that we asked for!! So what is the reason for charging us 10% room service?
All in all, this is the last visit for Sofitel the palm to not face such problems with them!!

I love the facilities but the staff have the tendency to profile you based on your race -- which is really sad. So I guess the staff will only give you a five-star treatment if you re wearing something bougie or if you re white.

Changed from a 5 star to a 3 star - have stayed here three times and the last visit has not been up to the same standard and the service levels have declined so we will look to choose another resort next year. It's unfortunate as this was not the experience we have had in the past.

We were there on November 14 with a friendly couple. Everything was overall excellent, staff, accommodation, beach, food and above all, we were always very friendly and attentive care. Everything was spotless clean, the hotel exceeded our expectations. We would very much like to come back immediately, if possible. Also in German speaking we were well looked after at the reception - Mario -, you can not find better. The stay gave us endless pleasure. Many Thanks
