Friendly staff and great amenities at the sofitel at a very reasonable price. Perhaps the only thing that i didnt love about my staff here was the salmon on the breakfast buffet. Due to some not so fresh salmon I was a bit under the weather however the staff were quick to act on it and very apologetic.

Great staff, great location, great hotel design, good food and drink. Everything here is overpriced and the internet is sooo slooooow.

Great location, very expensive beautiful beachfront area

So I took a selfcare day today and decided to go to So Spa at the Sofitel Resort ( yes they are open even with refurbishment happening) I opted for a body massage and a facial.. It was AMAZING
Before setting foot in the Spa I already felt relaxed the ambience takes you far away from reality and sets the pace for your treatment.
Than I was greeted by two of the lovely staff who had beautiful smiles on despite the gloomy weather.. And was introduced to my beautician Gina.
We walked to the treatment bure that can host you and 2 friends it had soothing instrumental music playing and the room tempreture was just perfect.
First was a massage Gina has blessed hands the pressure of the massage was perfect I could hear clicks in my back and just felt all the knots and tightness melt away.. Oh by the way they use Pure Fiji Products which is a huge plus. Massage lasted a little more than 30 mins I wishe it could last the Whole day
Than the Facial also 30 mins with in the first 5 mins I was Asleep the aroma of the various oils and lotions with the soft Professional touch from Gina was just magical. I didnt want to it to end but hello reality
I highly highly recommed the So Spa at the Sofitel for all of you like me that take care of everyone else and need some "Precious Me Time" give them a call and take some time out... Trust me you will not regret it at all...

I really enjoyed my stay with you. All of the employees went beyond themselves to b e helpful and friendly. Most places I have visited do not put themselves out. They blend in. Not with you. "Bula", was enthusiastically offered from everyone!!

Got married in Fiji and had a wonderful time with our families. The people were very gracious, accommodating and always happy to help. The only let down to the whole experience was our room unfortunately was very tired, stains on the carpet, cracked and broken tiles in the bathroom along with a badly stained bath. The mattress on our bed was very well used and had definite sleeping dips in the mattress causing me to roll in one direction. I was expecting something more from a luxury 5 star resort. Our families also experienced some problems like no hot water for a few days and then no water for one day which Sofitel gave a small $ deduction off their account.

Only stayed in the Waitui beach club and hadn't ventured in the other areas. Adults area was nice.

The sofitel has been my home away from home for the last 10 years. The staff is amazing , friendly and super helpfull. Always smiling. The adult only area is fantastic with amazing food and cocktails. The spa has great variety treatments. Ilisapeci Turukawa is the best !!!! Thank you Sofitel.. hope you open soon.

Resort is recently renovated and the food is just wow.... Breakfast buffet spread makes you want another belly attached to your own.... Yes it's that good... Must go...

Wow, for our first time in Fiji, it was truly one we will never forget! We loved everything about our stay! The only down was that food was expensive, and activities were also expensive but in general or was amazing. Cannot wait till our next trip!

Staff was very friendly, but the hotel needed alot of TLC. My bathroom shower drain did not work well, and the water pooled throughout the bathroom. It took over 4 hrs to drain. It was very slippery. When I called reception, they said to be patient and please do not fall. All of the beautiful white beaches with. Crystal clear waters are a boat ride away which would cost money every day. I wish I would have known about the resort beaches and that the sofitel website is not accurste in representing themselves.

The rooms need a huge overhaul. We stayed in 181, this was called a Luxury Family Room. There's nothing Luxury about it, the bed should be a king in this room! The bathroom needs updating too.

The pool tiles are so old they need to be updated. They are slippery & dangerous & look very dated.

The Accor card should be 50% off all meals - and that's it! No rules where it's only 25% off at breakfast & nothing off room service!
There should be a discount off alcohol too. It doesn't make me want to buy the card again.

The staff are the best in Fiji! Absolutely amazing service. The manager at Salt is amazing, he makes that place what it is. The food is incredible.
We come there for the staff & the food, would be great if the hotel was updated & the Accor Plus card didn't have all the rules that make you feel like you have been cheated.

Great location and peaceful. Hard to compare to the personal attention on the islands, but people were lovely here and food was pretty good too!

Nice pool but no shade!

Rooms are ok nice views over pool area, beds comfortable actually stayed at the beach club which is separate from the main resort.

Smaller pool but nice, no shade around the pool except under the umbrella or cabanas. Breakfast was included which was good buffet plenty of choice or beach club from a set menu.

Grounds are lush and tropical. Taxi from resort to port Denaru is FJD $7 Nice and cheap, Bula bus stops at the resort too.

South Sea ferries pick up from resort also making it easy stopover before or after island escape!

They have an excellent a la carte restaurant, Salt, where the chef can make delicious vegan dishes on request.

Outstanding property with amazing employees. Just a great experience!

This was our fifth visit to your beautiful resort and we will keep coming back. The staff are always very attentive and friendly. Some of the staff actually remembered us from our previous visits.

Really good stay, lovely place and staff worked hard to make our experience special. Recommended for any stay with family or for a romantic getaway.

Mouldy smell in our bathroom. They wash your cups in your bathroom sink where you have just brushed your teeth. Room service got our order wrong twice. Seems like they dont listen when you order meals. The carpets were smelly and not very clean. I found the check out staff a bit rude. They talk fijian about you while you are standing right there. So obvious pool was nice but the pool staff looked bored and not interested

Our flight to Fiji was cancelled because of volcanic ash and hotel Sofitel refused to let us cancel or rechedule our holiday we booked months ago despite it being completely out of our control.

The customer service over the phone was very poor and we were given no reason for why we cannot be refunded even part of the fee for our entire holiday. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, they makes Fiji as a whole seem very unappealing thanks to their poor service.

We will not be booking with them again.

All round best resort for Family with infants and toddlers!!! They have plenty of amenities for younger families.
Service and food in restaurants is at its best.
The flip side is the breakfast menu and its very expensive if bought for individual days.
Same breakfast is served daily without any addition of new cuisine, its just English breakfast!!

The service in this hotel is the outstanding feature. All staff are friendly, helpful and absolutely love kids. I have seen staff help take care of a fussing infant so mum and dad can finish their breakfast. This hotel is perfect for families, the kids are well entertained so the pool area is still a relaxing place with pool side service. There is one restaurant and a buffet, the food was always perfect and full of flavour. The hotel is currently under renovation, one half at a time. I suspect it will be even better when they are done.

This was our third stay at the Sofitel at Denerau, the last time was 9 years ago.
Sadly we were very dissappointed this time.
We arrived at 2pm check in time, only to be told the room wasn't ready and we had to wait 1.5hr. We were giving a free drink in the meantime but when entered our room, the room had not been properly cleaned and bathroom bins were still full from previous visitors.
The food served in the restaurants were below standard and not what you would expect at a 5* Sofitel hotel, the price was excessive compared to quality of food received. I really think the restaurant management needs to address the menu and prices.
We visited as a couple and found the place teeming with children. Not that I do not love children but this was suppose to be a romantic get away. To our delight we were told that there was an adult only pool and bar but to access it you have to pay FJ $99.00 each per day. Really!
Overall the Sofitel hotel is in a great location and the Fijian staff are pleasant and polite as always.
Would I visit again - no! There is better value and choice to be found elsewhere.

We were here overnight after 10 days at Matamanoa Island.
The staff outdoors and inside were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. So very professional and tended to our every need.... no matter what.
Everyone is great... totally Fijian Style.
We will definitely stay here again, it was our 3 rd time to visit Matamanoa Island , Fiji

need improvement on customer service especially towards local guests

We stayed at Waitui Club soon after it opened in 2015, and have been looking forward to returning. Friends joined us and shared the experience. The Club has matured and is a delight to enjoy. The key factor is the great staff who are friendly, attentive and very professional - they care about the resort, the guests, and the reputation of the resort and do their best to preserve this.

The pool side lunch options could benefit from some simple items, such as American Style Club Sandwiches

This was the second trip we made to this hotel this year. The management team didn't let us down we had a fabulous room, and the usual great Fijian hospitality and high quality service but with an added difference, we have to say a massive thank you to one of the pool side team Dua, he will go to any lengths to make sure your stay is outstanding, make sure you look him up when you arrive, ask for Dua (Doer) he is just the greatest..

Pool - Noisy and loud, even music on top of that. Could not believe extra charge to use the quiet pool
WiFi - Poor and dropping out. Everywhere

Our 5 and 10 year old kids loved the pool and water slide, and enjoyed the bunk style sleeping and own tv in our room. Staff friendly and helpful. When as adults we wanted a break from family activity, the beach was excellent with comfortable hammocks and deck chairs. Our favorite pool setup of the resorts we have visited. Excellent access walking along beach to other resorts and bula bus to other Denarau attractions.

We only had 1 night booked and arrived 2pm after a day travelling, expecting to check in to our room but we had to wait an hour before it was ready. No explanation given just that it wasn't ready. When you are paying Sofitel rates, its not good enough considering your room rate is 2pm till 11am check out. This experience could have been improved with an offer of Waitui beach club access a free drink at the bar while we wait, or offer of an hour late check out at the other end, but on a rainy day we had to sit in the lobby. We were in room 309 but bathroom is shabby, they need upgrading. Breakfast buffet was loud, and stressful, not the holiday experience I've had at other resorts. Good points were beds, and the concierge staff, lovely.

Excellent service relaxing with friends. We enjoyed our special invite to meet again with Allan Tania Sonny and staff making us feel like VIP guests. Next month it is hoped we will visit again for 7 days bringing another couple with us for a restful visit. We know where we are going and always know we can rest up.

A large 5 star hotel on Denarau Island it has French flair and orientated menu. Consisting of 2 large wings with a variety of rooms to suit most needs and budgets. There is also an Adults only section with its own pool and bar. The main pool is large with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Beachfront has numerous hammocks and chairs under lots of shady trees. The Lagoon restaurant is buffet for all meals , Salt is a contemporary casual restaurant, La Parisienne is a French styled cafe and V is a more formal restaurant. Only a 15 minute walk to Port Denarau for more shopping and eating options. Suitable for families and couples. Very nice and friendly. Recommended

We had an amazing stay at the Sofitel. We booked a Luxury Family Room and were disappointed with the tiredness of the room (considering 'luxury' and 5 star were in title!)... but other than the room quality, the rest of our experience was fantastic. The staff were so welcoming, and were definitely the highlight of the stay. I mentioned in passing that it was my daughter's birthday and a cake was delivered as a surprise to our room. The Niu Kids Club is FANTASTIC and the Kids Club team were exceptional. Highly recommend adding the breakfast buffet to your stay as there are limited other options on the Resort and definitely explore the Port as the food options get a bit 'same old' after a week! We have fallen in love with the Sofitel, and will definitely be back once fully renovated!

As above it was great in the Waitui club. But here is some constructive criticism. The food quality at Salt is in trouble. I could not eat mine as it was just a hard lump of meat. Also we overheard that people (along with my wife) were ill the next day after dining at Salt. The comments we also heard were that the food was terrible at Salt. I confronted the F&B manager Cameron who was in complete denial to any problems at Salt. He just didn't want to know. In contrast the food and staff at the Waitui club and V restaurant was great. We stayed for 14 nights and in the first week we received a morning newspaper and bed turn down and towel replacement. In the second week nothing. Whether this is due to staff turnaround I am not sure but it needs addressing. I hope you take the comments above on board. But we are planning on another return visit next year.

Rooms are a bit old and run down. Not a huge variety for food. Breakfast was pretty average.

Beautiful entry and the staff are lovely and the pool is spectacular. If your going on a jet ski safari and you have kids you can get a baby sitter. I really recommend it there. The feeling there is very easy and calm.

Friendly staff here, from the cleaning team to food and reception. The pool is well maintained, the place by and large runs like a well-oiled machine, and even a conference and a wedding in the hotel at the same time as we were there (and on a public holiday) didn't get in the way. The rooms are a bit tired, and our telly didn't work very well, the internet is spotty and deathly slow, and there was a spurious charge on the bill for a can of pop we never had, but excepting those things, all things considered it's a decent place to spend three or four days. Though goodness, a week here might send you mad - there's not that much to do other than laze by the pool.

Don't bother with the online check-in as it makes no difference and they don't pre-allocate your room! Check in was a full repeat of all information already provided and we were told one of our rooms wasn't quite ready but they would prioritise it.....when we followed up 2 hours later we were then told the people in it were having a late check out and it wouldn't be ready until 5pm!! As a Silver Accor member this service is not priority service and just not good enough. They did try to make good with a bottle of bubbles but still disappointing. My friend who is not an Accor member didn't have to repeat her checkin process - was done in half the time and straight into her room! Very frustrating! Not sure what I pay the membership for if the non members get better service. Hotel rooms are very tired. Overall we enjoyed our stay, for the most part staff were great and the food was all good. But I didn't find this a 5 star experience - we've had higher quality service and rooms in other Denarau resorts at a much lower price. Don't expect true Sofitel quality at this one.

It's ok. Not worth the price, and in high season, is really annoying with all the kids and mannerless middle-aged people around.

It is a very beautiful and nice hotel. As a Japanese, there is no bathtub and only a shower is a little disappointing! Is there some room?

Thank you for the great experience at Sofitel Denarau. We spent 6 night at one of your family friendly beachside apartment. We really enjoyed your beautiful garden and the amazing pool. The buffet breakfast was carefully selected and offers great option for absolutely everyone.
The kids programs were entertaining even for us.
Room we're good size for 2 adults and 2 kids, including a baby cot. Next time when we coming we'll try to request ground level room for easier access with kids, but the 3rd floor was fine too.
All of your staff were fantastic, but I'd like to say a special thanks for Jack for the day trip advices, and for Sieni, who been really amazing with our kids around the breakfast and the pool.

Great friendly service. Clean and all facilities you need

-This place always packed even the main pool it seems too small compared to number of people.
- restaurant has dress code!! For ladies,u have to sit there with a shoulder cover.
-the food is frozen (smelly tuna and tough sausage).
-beach area is not bad.

Our family holiday at Sofitel was great but not happy at all with bond refund. We stayed at Sofitel from 24th to 26th July and we were going get our $200 refund in 10 working days. Unfortunately its 30th August today and still it has not been credited into my account. After numerous emails I am still waiting to hear from them

I found the service at the spa less than professional. They found it difficult to smile and came across grumpy at times. We were offered a fabulous service to freshen up before our flight by reception in which we accepted. On arrival we were grumpily shown the shower room without any words spoken. We then realised there was no towels after requesting them we were past 1 towel and told to share . I didn't complain at the time but walked away feeling very unhappy. It was a disappointing end to a fabulous holiday.

Reception and check in process was seamless, the concierge was helpful, the gentlemen at the porter booth were amazing. Room was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. But the internet in the room was pathetic as it did not work at all for the 3 days and the restaurant by the beach is " I will not recommend it"

We have just had 6 amazing nights at the Sofitel in Fiji (late June - early July) we had an amazing experience. The staff were by far the best part of our stay. We felt welcomed every single second. The rooms were okay. The breaky insane, lunch and dinner were great! The water slide was so much fun for the kids even scary as an adult. The only thing that was so disappointing was the pool temp it was so cold the kids just didn t want to swim. We were told its due to the time of year but the whole hotel is solidly booked during that time it would be expected to have solar heating. For that one reason we would go somewhere else if the pool was heated. We checked all the other hotels pools when we went for a walk and they are all the same. The kids were looking forward to swimming all day and it just wasn t possible

Rooms were a good size but the carpet was stained and in one spot poorly repaired. The bathroom had dirty grout the showroom head was clogged and the bathtub shower combo leaked water all over the floor. However, the grounds, pool and beach were all beautiful and very well maintained.

It was my first time and I really enjoyed it. The greeting friendly faces of the staffs and I must say that I really love the Welcoming Juice .
Smiley faces of the staffs really makes us feel at home and the activities especially Zumba was so fun and breakfast and Dinner so Delicious.Overall me and my family we can't wait for our next visit.
