Honestly the best time of my life! Staff was friendly, service was amazing and felt right at home. Everything was spotless and honestly is hard to find a fault. Not only all of that but the service from your staff is top notch.
We booked ground floor near the Waitui Bech club area and this was wonderful (all adults LOL!!) . Warm sunny weather with great facilities and lovely friendly staff. The best Happy hour ever! Wonderful pool and lounging areas all so close to facilities and beach etc. A bit more info on the whole area would have helped (we got a bit lost walking around the golf course) but after a day or so we were OK. Had a fabulous time, best resort in the area!!
I used to love Sofitel but this time, it was disappointing when had to wait @ check in on 2nd night as 1st night was complimentary plus Rose @ front desk was not so nice when discussing check in. We were out whole day on 2nd day (16th) and when came in to take key, front desk was not ready with our key! I was really disappointed to be treated in such a way. If I come for my next visit, I would prefer dealing with a Fijian staff of Sofitel than a foreigner.
Great location, we have stayed twice over the last 10 years, this time with our kids. Great facilities for all including families. We will be back.
Everything was ok. Staff were slow to get things done. Food pretty good. Good location between other resorts.

La Parisienne Review
Purchased a coffee at La Parisienne. It was not satisfying at all. She served us hot milk that was extremely hot. Will not be coming here again, and I do not recommend this cafe.
Just spent 4 days here at the Sofitel Resort on Denarau Island Fiji, Ambience excellent, Staff lovely and friendly, I had serious Sinus issues and so my room attendant, Rina went of her way to look after me for the 4 days I was there to ensure my stay was both comfortable and relaxing during my stay. In fact all the staff could not do enough to ensure I was enjoying my stay. The staff were excellent!
Bathromm-shower area leaks ..need to fix before soemone slips and falls.
Asked for a room with two double beds but got a romm with two single and one double bed.Room was congested.
Aircon was set to 24 degrees and was hot as.No remote was provided..had to call reception at midnight to get it sorted out.
Was told by the technician that room temperature was regulated by the hotel and could not be changed to suit customer needs.Was set to the lowest temperature .
Black sand on the beach not worth the swim.
Staff were friendly but not as what i experienced on other resorts.
Pool area overcrowded all the time.
Food and mioni bar over priced-lucky denarau shopping center was close by

Pool area is nice but no swim up bar in main pool. You use a flag system to get drinks but it is very slow.
There is an adult's only area with a swim up bar but it would cost $320 fjd for a couple per day. Not worth it. Should be included in the cost to stay here which isn't cheap.
At night there could be more lighting as it's quite a dark walk. We needed our phones light at times to see the way

The grounds at the hotel are beautiful and the room was very specious. Everything is in Fiji time, which means slow:) They don't allow you to use cash in the resort and only credit card, but to use the credit card is between 3-4% charge. We got to the hotel from the airport for 25 dollars, but when we had to go back, the resort does not allow any other taxis to come and pick up from their hotel and you are required to use their own taxi cars which charge you 45 dollars, almost twice. It was strange to me that they don't appreciate you visiting and staying at their resort but trying to squeeze any possible penny from you and overcharge for everything. The private adult pool and beach club are beautiful and worth the extra charge, definetely recommended if you are not traveling with kids. The beach infront is dirty and can't really use or swim. The location of the resort is very convinient and close to the Port/Marina.
Eight nights of sun and relaxation, didn't want to leave. Kids had a great time.

We were upgraded from the family room to the adult room for free which was amazing. However the roll away bed has the same texture as hard wood and is unbearable to sleep on.
Some Staff are quite friendly compared to the last time we came. Would be great if every1 behave the same not to the Tourist only
My room was lovely and clean however the bathrooms were tiny and I basically had to climb over the toilet to climb into the bath to have a shower. They are in need of modernising.
It is a family hotel and I was a solo traveller who came to relax and basically sleep so being woken up by a screaming baby was not my idea of a great start to my holiday. Thankfully I got moved to another room.
Great location. Fabulous amenities, very friendly staff. Buffet breakfast is overwhelming in options but a weeks stay ensures you try everything. Travelled with three kids so the kids club was a great reprieve.
Booked a Waitui Beach Club room but ended up in a standard room because four club rooms we were shown all smelt mouldy. Bathroom of downgraded room also smells mouldy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Grounds and pools are lovely but lots of mossies. Food and drinks are way too expensive which is a shame. Tour desk says "cheapest price guarantee" but refused to match tour prices available online.
This resort was amazing. The pool facilities were clean and enjoyable. Bathrooms were clean and they have the best breakfast buffet in the Port Denarau area hands down! Staff were friendly and accommodating and the facilities were of a high standard. I would highly recommend staying here or visiting if you are statung elsewhere nearby.
What a wonderful time we had for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Fabulous location, great weather, excellent staff and excellent facilities. We were booked into the Wai Tui Club and could not have asked for a better venue. The staff Annie, Soleni (not sure correct spelling), Jerry and Solo made our stay special with their friendliness, help and attention, great staff. Nothing was a problem for them. The couples massage at the So Spa was fantastic. Another excellent venue.
We celebrated our anniversary with a Dinner in the V Restaurant. Wow, exceptional service, delicious meal and great ambiance. Abrahim provided 5 star plus service and surprized us with a 2 piece band playing and singing happy anniversary. Magnificent. Would highly recommend to anyone for a break. The only problem was smokers smoking on verandahs which prevented us from enjoying the sunsets on our balcony or leaving the room door open.
My Family have stayed at Sofitel on and off for over 15 years, about a year ago they started renovating the place and whilst that may end up beneficial, the changing of rules within the resort are not, for instance the sofitel used to be a nice typical "brochure fiji resort" since the renovations it is largely french influenced the staff have to wear these horrible uniforms that make them look like "happy prisoners", i know most of the staff very well and they absolutely hate it, hence why most of the staff from a few years ago have all departed, there are now dress codes, and whilst in theory i do not have an issue with this , it seems to be over the top, for instance my wife and her girlfriend went to one of the loungers /seating at the bar facing the beach because it was a bit sunny they wore their hats, (keep in mind they werent actually sitting at the bar they were further towards the beach )a senior staff member came over and asked them to remove their hats as it wasn't allowed in this area.... (after all it is a beach resort..lets not allow hats!!??? ) We have two young teenage kids , yet at new years only adults are allowed to attend a party , nothing to do for the kids, all in all a poor effort from Sofitel ,(from what is used to be) it is a real shame that it has taken this direction, from my point of view the resort used to be a happy environment but the fun factor has certainly been removed, we have now changed resorts. not worth $700 a night

It was a good hotel but at 3 times as much money as we usually pay it was not 3 times as good as other hotels I stayed at in Fiji eg Tambua Sands, Colo-i-Suva Rainforest. We only stayed at this expensive hotel because we had a wedding at this venue and it worked out well for this when we were drinking. Very good breakfast buffet include in tariff
The level of service given to me as an individual was exceptional. The group as whole has not only enjoyed their stay but were extremely impressed with how efficient and friendly the hotel staff are.

Our second visit to the Sofitel because we loved it the first time. The staff are always so friendly, it doesnt matter if its their 1st or last hour of their work shift. The place has a lot of rooms but it still feels like a small hotel as its fairly spread out. The pool is usually the busiest place to be. The beach isnt that great but that is also the fun of Fiji. Go find your own piece of paradise. The rooms are starting to show their age but if you are spending so much time in your room you probably aren't doing Fiji right. Get out and explore. Housekeeping is top notch. Sunsets on the beach are incredible. Plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you contained in the complex if you want. Easily able to jump on the Bula bus to get to the marina. Its also a lovely walk to the marina.
WE stayed last year and felt the rooms were in a worse condition from then.The bath had scouring and broken surface.The door had to be slammed to shut it as did a lot in the wing we were in .Our room was 118.
Seemed to be a staff shortage as not as attentive around pool and dining room.Food never good in a lot of Fiji no change there.We went through accor thinking well a nice room however it was smaller than last years and had those issues.Heard a rumour it was changing hands so all made sense,.

Stayed overnight. The service is fantastic. The rooms clean and very comfortable and the menu choices are amazing. Really makes it hard to choose what to eat for dinner.
Staying at the Sofitel was indeed such a relaxing and wonderfully enjoyable experience. The staff were more than courteous and friendly and ever so helpful, and the food was just Devine. We loved it so much that we extended our week-end into Monday and will definately be up for another stay with you very soon. Great job Sofitel!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great pool and outdoor restaurant. The breakfast area was a bit busy when full, perhaps the layout could change? Our wedding was fantastic and I would recommend it to friends. Overall we had a fantastic time, thank you :)
Worst business ever, I have a Chronic disease and unable to travel, the resort refuses to refund my money as I have paid upfront. Spoke with bookings with no help at all. Nil Star rating

We enjoyed our stay
The resort is well appointed. It has several eating places and various shopping opportunities. The pool and beach are very nice. The Bula bus is a fun and inexpensive way to travel to Port Denerau where there is more shopping and eating.
Good relaxing break, rooms are starting to show age though. Joined Waitui club & in the 7 days there I never once say the pool swim up bar open. Very disappointed, did ask staff but they didn't seem concerned.
Firstly I would like to take this opportunity of thanking the staffs and management of Sofitel for making our family holiday so comfortable. When it comes to rating, there is always room for making things from good to best. No one, no place, no machine is perfect, so its good not to have 100% in everything.
The best part of your resort was pools. In my 2 day stay, my kids just loved playing in the pool, trust me on this, I had to cancel big Bula water park because according to my observation, your resort pool was so safe for kids, specially the depth and different patterns. Just Amazing.
According to the service, the time of booking I did deposit for 1 night which was not updated during my check in time till I checked out. This part should be looked into. Lucky we didn't faced any problem while checking out as I did carried all the relevant details, so request to look into this.
Overall the stay was nice and lovely, we enjoyed.

Not likely to stay in accor hotels again. Put in the wrong room, was told due to large bookings in the hotel for the weekend had to go back to desk to move to correct room. Was asked to leave at 11:00am on last day even after booking late checkout for 15:00 at time of reservation. Spa credit was not deducted at check out, had to ask why. Would have been over charged if not.
Over all disappointed, stayed in the Westin last year, was a much better experience.
We have stayed with you hotel many times, but felt if you want to continue to promote yourself as a 5 star resort the room and certainly bathrooms need to be done up.
Great experience although overdue for an upgrade. Breakfast package and Waitui Club are great value if used correctly. Staff are the best part of this hotel. Most of the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make everyone's experience amazing.
When we arrived we were asked to wait for 30 minutes while they prepared our room. We told them that we had a 7 month old baby with us and the sooner the better as we were approaching feeding time and everything we needed was in our bags. After 2 hours of waiting without our bags we went back and asked what was happening only to be told that all our bags had gone to a room and that it had been ready for hours.
There was dirt in the corner of the bathroom floor that someone had drawn in the note: Clean me 01/2017 which was 8 months ago so it obviously hadn't been cleaned since well before that.
We had several power cuts and the water was off for several hours.
Nice location with spacious clean tropical rooms. Beautiful pool, great landscaping, nice breakfast and wounderful friendly staff. Not much of a beach though.
Despite the current renovations on the foyer, each staff & their service were really good as expected. The hotel has nice walks, a nice beach even a kids club with a safe zipline & a restaurant- apart from the main cafeteria with good food served throughout the 3 meals of a day.
What a lovely place to quarantine in. The staff are lovely, the food is lovely and the whole place is just lovely. Also the sunset is beautiful.
It felt like I was arriving to Disneyland rather than Fiji. The check in process wasn't the most organized, our room wasn't ready for quite a while and when we were sent to it, we were given keys to a room that was occupied. That raise serious doubt about safety and organization. The food was a C+ at best. Guests were loud and we were awaken at 2 AM with drunk people partying through the hallway. The taxi we requested for the airport was 15 min late. Overall a pretty mediocre experience.

All were very good,customer service very good.Only bathroom satisfactory because during shower,water comes out and wet the floor.
We have just come back from our 3rd trip to Waitui Club , it was as good as always.
The staff at the club are amazing nothing is to much trouble.
I can't comment about the rest of the hotel as much as we don't venture into that area much as there are lots of families with lots of children. We like the peacefulness of the Waitui Club.

Pros: pool is pretty clean and lovely and big. Kids club is open great hours and you don't need to pre-book at all. Breakfast pretty decent. Lovely little gym with PT available at no extra cost. Staff have been lovely and some good free kids activities here and there during the day. Kids loved the slide.
Cons: been really unimpressed with the main restaurant here, Salt. Very very average food so much so that we keep really need to go out and eat elsewhere a lot which is a real pain. Very few healthy eating options, one vegetarian option only on dinner menu. Drinks very expensive. Lack of nice restaurant closer to the water is a shame. Extra charge to use washer and dryers.

Pool is nice. Room is dated and small. Shower toilet so small. Not worth the price we paid. Food is very expensive and taste is below average. Very friendly people. Hotel need renovation and good chef.
Fantastic hotel, well maintained and great staff. Highly recommend beach club if you don't have kids, plenty of day beds and room in the pool without the screaming and splashing.
staff courtesy and attention to customers is among the best in the pacific. I think the staff at Salt do need some more coaching....service is slow and unreliable...

Amazing staff and Salt and V Restaurant was amazing! The gym and pool were great. The lagoon buffet could've been a bit better. Rooms were nice, but it's worth the extra money for the better rooms, bathrooms are dated. Besides that, the overall hotel was nice and very hospitable.
We arrived earlier than designated check in and the front of house staff were fantastic in letting us check in early.
The bar staff were fantastic. The pool facilities were amazing and very family friendly.
However:
The restaurant SALT was atrocious we returned 1 of the 4 meals the other 3 were only barely edible. Not only that it was extremely expensive!!
We stayed here very recently February 16 & 17th of this year. Overall it was very nice room overlooking the ocean, bathroom a bit on the small side. Also please lock your valuables as someone STOLE my 4 Alex & Ani bracelets these were given to me years ago by my children and very personal to me. Stayed at room 295
This place is amazing. The breakfast buffet is magnificent like nothing I've seen!! On beautiful Denaru island very green manicured lawns and gardens amazing water views and pools for days.. must be seen to be believed
