Well done hotel with amazing experience, service, as well as the design. The service was great and the rooms were precooled and dry enough despite the humid air in Bali. Of course, the best part of the hotel was the pool which waded through many corners - one could swim for a very long distance without hitting any wall! Of course, breakfast buffet was great and had a rear variety of cuisines too.
I love their swimming pool, surrounded by lush of baliness greenery. The food is also decent. I love their bedroom interior design as well, very ethnic and homey.

I work in aviation and used to stay at this property on a regular basis. The presentation and facilities at the Sofitel are superb and the staff are all extremely friendly, welcoming, accomodating and respectful- from the Front desk staff and porters to the Housekeeping staff and pool attendants. Any minor issues (e.g. A/C faults) that were beyond the property's control were quickly attended to and would be repaired immediately or I would be offered a substitute room. It's been some time since I have travelled here for work but am looking forward to staying there for my holiday at the end of the November. 5*
Hi I've reserved as Jinwoo park with Booking ID 427797485, Due to COVID-19, we don't have flight for bali from Singapore therefore we cannot reach to hotel Sep 9-Sep11, so I've requested to cancel it a lot since first week of Aug. I cannot take my two children to there because of COVID 19 also we cannot do self-isolation for two weeks in Bali... no flight anyway... Please cancel the booking and refund. I keep asking this to hotel but they ignore, and When I send it to agoda, Agoda said the authority is with the hotel. Please make conference with this problem. Please understand the situation with COVID-19.

Very noisy from the Beachfront Ballroom for the wedding. The noise is around until 2am. My washing closet is also very dirty as it has some residues from the previous guest.
This is not about a stay that we have already had but rather the arrangements with the hotel for a stay that we have planned in February 2020.
Two stars instead of one, because the luxury concierge put in a fabulous effort to answer all of our questions, even if not entirely accurate in some cases. The effort was marvellous.
A low rating, however, because during these exchanges we realised something quite shocking. Sofitel charges their residents the same price for food / restaurant access as external guests. The price of, for example, the breakfast buffet is exactly the same as their Sydney counterpart (IDR400 000 / AUD40). Except in Sofitel Bali they also add a compulsory 21% surcharge for taxes and service fees ON TOP of the base amount.
We have booked for a 3 week stay at the resort, which is exceptionally long for a Bali 5*. We thought that maybe in such a case the hotel would be inclined to perhaps offer us a special deal on breakfast/half/full board food prices. Unfortunately, they declined and stuck with their general pricing for all internal and external guests. Surely 3 weeks of loyalty would be worth something to the hotel? I can t imagine that there is no flexibility in this regard.
Coming originally from Switzerland, we have stayed in many hotels around the world with varying classifications. The Swiss are stereotyped for being rather inflexible, however we have always experienced very fair offers from all 5* hotels we stayed at there. We are very aware of pricing and service levels at 5* resorts in all sorts of locations. So our reaction is not one that has been unjustly attained.
We are concerned that we have made a horrible mistake with booking at Sofitel Bali. We certainly cannot understand the additional 21% surcharge on top of already extravagant prices for a destination like Bali. Perhaps, though, we will be pleasantly surprised. Update to follow.

We stayed in villa for five night November 2019. Gorgeous rooms mixed with the Island style. Private pool was just what we needed to relax.
The grounds and staff were exceptional! Always polite and friendly Edi and Pilot really took care of us the whole time.

Experience staying at a hotel that in my opinion is very good. Comfortable room with all amenities. Unfortunately you can't enjoy the sunrise because it's covered in clouds. However, Sofitel has given satisfaction in staying for my vacation to Bali this year with my wife. Thank you for the opportunity given to stay here. Very much hope that in the future we will have the opportunity to return to staying at Sofitel if we go to Bali again.

We stayed here for a week in February .We paid extra for a poolside room [on the ground floor as in the picture .
the hotel was quiet ,being out of season but the staff were friendly and welcoming and the pool excellent .there is a bar and restaurant by the pool and a second restaurant near the reception which ,while we were there served a buffet breakfast .You can leave the hotel grounds by a back entrance ,and following a narrow passage ,be by the sea within 5 minutes .The beach is great for swimming and there are loungers provided by the hotel ,but as you walk west the neighbouring hotels have their loungers on the beach , but the sea and sand are free for all.
ten minutes or so along the footpath you get to a promontory and going inland a couple of hundred yards to will find the Bali Collection with lots of shops and restaurants .
All in all an excellent stay

The hotel itself is beautiful and lovely. The beds are comfy, views are amazing; however the food is not the best (does not match the standard of the hotel) and egg ordering in the morning for breakfast takes too long. Either than that it is really top class.

Staying at Sofitel was a wonderful experience. The kid's pool with the slide kept the little ones entertained all day. The entire garden is actually a pool with paths leading across. I've never seen anything like this in my life. It was nice to chill by the pool, enjoy drinks and eat delicious food.
The place is huge, it must be very hard to keep everything running smoothly, but the management is doing a great job!

However, I thought that I was concerned at this time when the towels were getting worn out (especially beach towels) and it was time to change.
Until now, after swimming, I was able to go back to the room by wrapping my body with a beach towel, but this time it was no good. Is there a guest to bring home? ?
