It seems they their management has focused on new stuff rather than upkeep on the old classic rides. The new rides are pretty darn awesome though. The modification to the Texas giant is Amazing! You no longer need a chiropractor afterwards. The food price was shocking. 2 pizza slices and a hamburger was $56!
I had a season pass. If you are planning on going twice a year I would recommend to buy the season pass and the dining pass. Will get your money's worth. But sometimes certain areas of the park is closed and it sucks when its jam packed w few to do. Wish the restrooms where cleaner and stocked.
Canceling family memberships. Highly disappointed that Six Flags is not following their own COVID rules. No mask or social distance enforcement once through the gates, refill cups and refill stations in use everywhere even though Six Flags own rules said they are not allowed.
All the rides are amazing and the staff there is fun sometimes I really love it that it only closes at 10 pm. I love the rides Titan (the best one ), Texas giant (the funniest)
Superman ( the tallest and scariest but fun)
Mr freeze (it needs some updates but it's cool) , the food stalls are the best
Thanks for appreciation
Extremely hot, wish they had more places with shade.
The fright fest was nice but if you have a season pass I would brung extra money for the haunted houses. But it is fun and kind kf scary
The staff was very friendly loved the corn maze made with haystacks staff was really funny really helpful the kids loved it
Not only is Six Flags overrated, overcrowded and overpriced, now they they added greedy and not customer friendly (I'd even say crooked) business practices to their repertoire.
I have been in customer service for 25 years and never approach an issue with the too bad, too sad attitude. Even if it is the customers "fault", I have always found solutions that make that customer happy. Selling me season passes while I was not aware of the fact that my membership does not expire after 12 months is one thing. However, when I realize what's going on and try to ask for help to get it fixed, I get the first lady that says it's all ok and now it's canceled and I will receive a refund. Then nothing happens and when I inquire again, I am being told it doesn't matter what the first lady said, it is what it is and my money is not only wasted, that dang membership is still not canceled.
To top it all off, with all that schwindeled money, you think they could afford a few paint jobs around the park. It looks run down and dirty.
Wonderful amusement park. One day will not be enough to check out all rides. Very well maintained. The parking space is huge and they also have tram for accessing the farthest parking areas. Food is little expensive inside and no outside food or drinks are allowed
We had a good time. Haven't been there is over 20 years and alot has changed. Doesn't seen to be as many rides as there used to be. Concessions prices are simply rediculous. $5.50 for a bottle of water and $17.50 for a cup you can refill through the day while you are there. We went on a bad day when a couple of the good rides kept breaking down so that was a let down for sure. The joker broke down twice while we were in line for the cat woman ride as seen in the picture. These people were stuck for about 45 minutes in the sun. I know they were getting miserable. That was enough to makes us decide not to tempt fate. But as I said, we had a good time still overall.
It's so outdated and crusty looking. Invest in it. It's time. Yuck.
Had an amazing time. Sucks almost every ride that wasnt already broke down when we got there at open today did break down. Was told that rides like the Titan was only supposed to be ran when temps were below 90 degrees but it was 96 and it was still going so that's why most rides continued to break. Still had fun after spending 10 hours there.
Had a wonderful time here with my family. The park wasn't really busy on July 4th...we didn't have to wait but like 2-5 minutes on the most popular rides i.e. Mr. Freeze. So pretty much we were able to ride most of the rides in the park with no hassle. I recommend going on a holiday for sure.
Rides were great but for a "family friendly" park there aren't any cool spots for new mom's to breastfeed. Bathrooms also only have one changing table. Employees need to learn how to speak up and look at customers when speaking to them. After waiting for an hour in line 4 times the rides suddenly had to be shut down for "technical difficulties". Come to find out it was so employees could go on break. For the price of season passes things like this are unacceptable.
The amusment park enthusiast's opinion-- -Clean, not great service, rides were down for high winds, and covid. Ride ops staple and, operations are slow. This park is kinda overrated. I went to the one in Atlanta. That Six flags was much better, better rides, nicer park. People talk about texas charm, I didnt find any. There are about 5 good coasters and the rest are just ok. Overall, this park is alright, If you drive 8 hours like I did, you need about a day and a half to do everything. Also visit the Waterpark, because it is good to. I stayed at the LaQuinata right across the street. Nice park, not great.
Nick is provided super star service :) made our trip more enjoyable despite some other employees error
FedEx Freight company outing, hadn't been in years! Took the grandkids and we all had a blast! Hope they do this again!!!
Way too busy on bring a friend day. Frightfest is awesome.
Huge park campus, great variety of rides, attractions, games, food services. Assorted park, drink, parking packages available. Only downsides are the high cost of food, drink and gifts while in the park, and occasionally long lines for rides. Still, if you are considering a family or group vacation/trip, it's an awesome choice so long as finances are enough to reasonably accommodate. Located within .5-1 mile of several quality hotels and a diverse selection of restaurants. Vacations can be costly, but if you're willing to pay the cost then it's definitely a worthwhile experience.
Clean, hand sanitizer available all over the park, employees and the public following Covid restrictions.
Loved it can't wait to come back here with my family
Its got a family friendly atmosphere tho the place could use a bit of paint. I took my two cousins to the park their first ever roller coaster park and they loved it. They rode the titan to the Texas giant to the joker and more all at the young ages of 8 to 11. I would consult the height guide before coming and measure their height before hand as they were unable to ride mr freeze or Batman. Tho they rode almost every ride at the park that day. The pizza seemed a bit high but that is to be expected. Maybe being a member would be worth it but my cousins do not live in Texas otherwise I would have bought membership. I figure I spent around 200 + for 3 people so use the discount site and the extra 10 for the preferred parking was well worth it. Expect to spend about 140 in food and drink at the park with a small family group. Tho as I said membership gives you a certain off food and drink. So do not let the food and drink prices scare you off.
It's fun but the recent road closures/ construction is such a pain. It took us 1hr and half to get there and park which usually doesn't take more than 20min. Won't be going back until that's sorted.
We went the day after Thanksgiving. Felt like i got ripped off. I was fully expecting to be there till ten with the family. It was great with no lines. Few people there. Should have been a blast. Got there just after 4 p.. Less than three hours later they closed. No refund. Said they were closing early due to weather. A storm was expected. The storm never showed. Felt wronged. Six hour trip to get the shaft and no tefund. What a joke. Well it was on me. It gives me one more reason to be disappointed with texas! Everything bigger in Texas.yep i can agree! Thanks six flags!
Just recently went back to this place. I haven't been here in 7 years and I must say it has improved alot over the years. I most surprised about how fast they got the rides back up when they were having issues. Back when I was younger the ride would be shut down indefinitely. So that's a great thing. I had fun like always great place to go if you want to experience thrills.
Lines were short and lots of fun. My only complaint is that they don't have one cart on their roller coasters geared for tall or heavier people. The $89:food passes are a bargain for 18 months of food.
Great family friendly environment and tons of food. Look for the Coca-Cola lifestyle machines for hundreds of unique beverage choices.
Great views! Always crowded but worth the wait on a windy day
Had a great time eating funnel cake and nachos with grandkids.
If we have to wear a mask we will not return to the park till those restrictions have been removed.
Six flags over Texas has so many rides to love, there are many classics like Judge Roy scream, the Titan, and Mr Freeze but some newer ones like Joker, Harley Quinn, and So Diablo are crazy excitin, and don't forget the food, but I recommend having a sesson pass or having a membership for the food it gets pretty expensive. If your bored and have nothing to do or your visiting Texas, Six- Flags is the way to go!
Customer service is ABYSMAL!!! They absolutely will NOT speak to anyone on the phone. It takes an act of Congress to even find the phone number and then when you call, you cannot speak to a live person. They either give you automated information or refer you back to the website (which lacks info, hence why I would like to speak to a real person). Also, their answering service is super shady. I called "before office hours" and it told me to press 0 to speak to a customer service rep just to be directed to an automated statement saying they weren't open yet. I called again after they opened, and the option to press 0 to speak to a customer service rep was no longer an option. I pressed 0 anyway and it took me back to the main menu. REALLY not happy and it's a shame, because our family bought 15 season passes in December for Christmas gifts. Super angry right now!!!!! But I'm sure the 16 year olds who run the park will be well-equipped to deal with this when I show up. (Dripping with sarcasm.)
Always a good time. Especially if your just wanting to get a few rides in
Love this park but would choose Fiesta in San Antonio over this one if possible. This park is still fun if that's not an option. Lots to do for all ages.
I was fortunate that day, to relive my old adventures, only through my son's eyes. Having partially grown up in Arlington, I had many experiences in this particular theme park throughout my childhood. It was priceless seeing the same world through my son's eyes, so full of wonder and amazement. It redefined my own experience of Six Flags. It also happened to be Father's Day, so we couldn't have made a better choice on how/where to spend the day.
Loved it i love all the rides dont break on stop when im there
Great Batman ride by Wayne from brand new facilities. However there were too many and outdated places with under maintenances. Moreover ride time was too short for all kinds of rides. This is actually my biggest complaint that couldn t my family and myself.
Only 5 rides were open and each wait was over an hour and a half. We called ahead of time and they said they would be fully running today. After purchasing tickets online and hearing news of only 5 rides running we were not given a refund. If you do choose to go, always go down the single rider line. You will skip all lines and get on immediately. The workers have no back bone in telling people to quit cheating the system. 6 flags Dallas sucks.
Always fun taking my nephew. Although most of the kid attractions in looney tune land were not open so it wasn't as fun as it could have been for his 1st time going.
Six flags has never disappointed me. This location was clean, lines were not long at all and there was plenty of parking. Thank you for making it an enjoyable experience.
Great fun, great staff (most of the staff anyways) everything about this awesome but some of the food places will have some very "I'm not paid to smile" people lol and that's okay. Cuz I'm here to have fun and theyre not so I understand.
This was my frist visit to Texas 6 flags it was pretty nice an peaceful i will be back in 2 weeks now next wek im going to try hurricane habber
It's to hot. There are air vents, but they are not on, and they will not turn the air on. And most of these rides are in tunnels and it is very hot. And I think Six flags over Texas makes enough money for people to be cooler than this.
Giving 3 stars simply because a lot of the rides were closed due to technical problems. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and the park was clean. Having to wear a facemask all day was not fun but they do have several mask free zones to give your ears a break. I would also recommend the flash pass and meal plans.
Love six flags only reason i cant give it a six is because there are a lot of little maintenance things you notice need attention around the park. With all the money they charge around every corner they should have people on the pay roll to keep the place immaculate. Fun rides though, decent food and lots of fun.
It was fun although mr freeze reverse is like a hot sauce that spicy where you cant taste it
Decent park. Be coming here for years. Worn down rides, needs to be cleaned and refreshed. Old rides need to go to make room for new coasters. Staff doesn't seem happy.
Overall, I give it 5 stars because it's a great place for fun for the whole family. Roller coasters, rides, kiddie section, different sections that take you to "different parts of the world".
There are rides scattered throughout the park that allow smaller preschool kids to ride (based on height). It's not just the kiddie section that small kids can ride.
The only real negative is that it's gotten very pricey over the past few decades. Food costs are very high and they don't allow you to bring food into the park. Don't pay full price for entry... season pass, Coke cans, online purchases. There's many ways not to have to pay full price for a ticket.
Went on a Tuesday during spring break and I have to admit it wasn t quite as busy as I thought it would be. I would definitely recommend going on a weekday or an overcast day as that s when the lines are shortest. Overall a great experience with friends and would recommend.
Amazing. Only complaint is the rides can sometimes be incredibly short relative to the line wait but theres so much to do its worth it.
I have a 4 year old and we have been able to ride a good amount of things.
Roller coaster are awesome, yet scary... The twist is one of the most beginner attraction, the Giant and The Titan are huge, better be prepared, overall it was great
It's a fun place but you can smell every bathroom just walking by. They damn well make enough to have clean bathrooms. It's even hard to break in there. Moral of the story go to the bathroom before hand
Too many rules for using your food vouchers. Have to wait in line too long and then they would run out of food. Shoukd be able to use them any time. The plus is, that the food has gotten better over the years
A large, regional theme park with something for everyone. The best part for me e is the older sections, near the mine cart. Nice layout, plenty of shade, classic rides.
Good, solid amusement park. It could use a bit of love. Several areas need to be renovated, landscaped, and painted.
Was very dissatisfied with it all. Only good part was being with family and the christmas tree lighting and the christmas program
Fun for everyone. Much to see and do for all ages and levels of thrill seekers
Good Rides, good food (All American burgers or something like that) overall I had a good time but the downsides were overpriced food and drinks (buy the six flags cup ) and a lot of the rides had technical difficulties
I do have to say the rides made up for it tho and next time I ll buy the flash pass
Better luck next time. 45 min line wait and then the rain.(Update) Returned the following weekend during the night and it was great. No waiting in line for 30+ minutes. Also they were cleaning the rides periodically. Got on all the big roller coasters before the night was over.
I'm not a big fan of roller coasters but I loved the ones here! I loved the water rides the most. I also loved the entertainment there.
I give it 4 stars due the frustration of me and my 3 kiddos already stood in line for 40 minutes then when we finally got to the front, my phone didn't pull up the tickets we purchased I had to walk out of the line, until my phone started working again then wait in line again, smh, I paid little over 700 for season passes, so a better process needs to happen! thanks
Lines too long for rides, concessions and restrooms. And dont even want to start on parking. I'd rather drive to MO to silver dollar city. Ended all 9 of our season passes and dont regret it.
2020 Seasons pass for under $70
fun from October 2019 till Jan. 2021
My favorite roller coaster is shockwave and the judge Roy scream. I love the Texas giant and the Titan as well. I get a little scared at first but the adrenaline is worth it and it is memorable. Best place to go if you are an adrenaline junkie. I just love year round thrills.
We had an amazing time... if you get there early and go on the right day (usually weekdays are better) you can have a blast with shorter lines!! Although, going on the other days... be ready for VERY long lines, so choose your rides wisely!!! Lol The New Texas Giant is AMAZING by the way!!! ;-)
Currently husband and daughter are stuck on the mini mine train. Maitnence is on the way with no time estimate. Came here with Hope's of getting one use out of the $700 spent for an unusable 2020 membership.... 7 of the family / children rides we came to use that state being.open on the app, are either broken or shut down. This has been a huge waste of a day on our one year family vacation. Place is a mess. I understand covid difficulties, but this place is way beyond a 6 month pandemic of discourse and poor maintenance. Wouldn't waste my time ever again let alone the money.
Went as they opened up at Fright Fest, really well decorated and in comparison to the UK was superb, busy, as I was forewarned but the extended hours made it possible to enjoy many of the rides and mazes. Great experience.
We love this park! I have been coming here for 25 years. My son loves the antique cars as I did at his age.
We went during Oklahoma schools spring break with the best possible weather we could have hoped for. The lines were relatively short with minimal to no wait times to get on the rides. Park was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Rides were super awesome.
Been coming here off and on for many years since I was a child, rides have changed, some improvements, some not so much(judge Roy could use a reworking....), all in all this year has the best membership options for the price, we have the diamond elite passes with the dining pass option. Preferred parking, 50% off the dining pass(pays for itself first visit easily), many many discounts, free drink cup among several other items including TWO skip the line passes per day. I m not sure how some have had issues canceling their previous membership, mine was cancelled within a few days before I upgraded to the new membership. No doubt his Park has been a roller coaster (lol) as far as their cleanliness and efficiency goes but it appears to have picked up the slack greatly compared to my past few visits in 2016 which pretty much made us not want to make the effort to go back.
We came on a Sunday afternoon with our daughter and had no wait on most rides, Holiday in the park was wonderful! The parking prices are atrocious though- hence the 4 stars. We also saw a 20 minute broadway Christmas show and it was fantastic!
The joker ride was too short but it was fun. The food is typical theme park food. The people and service great.
It was packed long lines food was great joker the ride was the best
Great park to visit. Nice attractions, we really enjoyed it... I think the queues tend to be a bit too long but still it is a great thing to do.....
A very enjoyable afternoon. Not unusually busy. Ride lines were short to reasonable. A young lady named Avery at the Mr. Freeze ride was outstanding in her professional service and made our day better. She deserves kudos. Really enjoyed the philly cheesesteaks at one of the restaurants. Diana in Guest Relations was very helpful to replace my pass when I lost it on one ride. Overall, it felt like employees were glad to be there and very happy to be of assistance. They treated us like they wanted us to come back. And, we will
Man the bathrooms were hard to find and FINALLY found this. Really?
A great place to spend the day. Roller coaster lines are short. Lot's of great comfort food. The member passes are very affordable and be sure to grab the dining pass and stay full all day.
