Honestly, just get a seasons pass if you think you re going to go here more than once. Membership is a year contract and they won t let you out of it. Big big waste of money, especially if they only operate on the weekends. lol who wants to pay 20+ a month only to be able to go on the weekends. OH AND THEY OPEN ONLY IF THE WEATHER IS NICE. but i guess the park is nice.

Worst ticket sales staff ever. Awful experience buying tickets. All the workers hate it, and no one offers to help people. Tons of other people were confused and none of the workers explained anything well.
My family has come here for decades and they always seem to improve from the last time we have gone. We now have season passes and we will definitely take advantage of the new attractions. I highly recommend Six Flags for anybody who lives in town or anybody who is just visiting!
Six Flags is one of our favorite family fun events. We've had passes for 4 years. The pass prices are great and if you are patient you can get phenomenal sales on passes and diner passes! There are several bring a friend free days! Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park are amazing!
Overall horrible experience. The whole park smelled like a zoo. Water is not easily accessible during 105 degree weather. And when it is, it s $4.50 for a bottle. 25 dollar parking is absurd and the rides are all greasy. All food is nasty and fried. My friend ordered dipping dots last summer and found a damn fingernail in it! A fingernail! Great caricatures by Darnell tho!
Don't bother during Covid precautions. Despite being shown as open on the website and app, several rides are closed, including most small child rides in Boomtown, roaring rapids, caddo lake barge, runaway mountain, hall of justice, El diablo, la vibora, El sombrero, and stampede. The titan was closed for most of the day and opened at the end. The rides that are open run at half capacity and with only one train so the lines stack up longer than on a regular busy day (even with that alleged half capacity crowd). Six flags can be a great time, but don't waste your time and money with a faux-open experience.
Great place to take your family! Clean, seasonal events, great food, cool souvenirs, friendly workers! The season pass is definitely worth it cause you're gonna wanna go back
Park wasn't overcrowded and we were able to have a good time. I have noticed this summer that they have rides that are closed and never opened during our visits. This would be the water log ride and the water rapture ride. Second time within a week. Get it together Six Flags. Your fees aren't changes when your rides aren't working. Not fair to the consumers.
You should consider changing your slogan to be more honest. Like "Welcome to six flags where every ride is shut down three times a day, thanks for standing in line".
We live close and have season tickets, it's no exaggeration when I say that every time we come there is some sort of issue or multiple issues with the rides, staff, or dining passes.
Good place just a shame that 90% of the employees won't answer questions when asked and give you attitude when you do finally get an answer out of them
The only reason I'm giving one star instead of 0 are the rides. The prices charged for food & everything else inside the park are freaking ridiculous! I may b wrong but if they charged reasonable prices they would sell a lot more. I could b wrong though.
Nothing beats a night or a day in the park of Six Flags I can go to Six Flags anytime this Six Flags is the best because it's in Texas of course and everything's bigger in Texas especially our Six Flags Over Texas.
Came here didnt ride a single roller coaster, bumper car, or fun house. Y not you may ask. I was here working thats why. Still a very awesome place to come, get off ur butts and get over here.
I purchased 2019 season passes for my kids and I. We went to the park in oct 2018 yo pick up our new passes and we spent the day there. I purchased 3 water bottle for $16 each (they were suppose to be $1 refills on all future visits) we visited the park in dec for holiday in the park- and used our water bottles ($1 refills). When went to the park the other day (first time this year) we were told we could not use our bottles and that they were only good in 2018! Why sell products at full price in oct if it s only good for 3 months how was I suppose to know, there was no fine print! Thanks six flags for ripping me off 48 bucks. Had it been indicated, I would have waited until January so that I can use it for a full 12 months as I thought I would get to use it during the duration of my season passes. I kinda want to cancel our memberships! member services was very rude but hey it s only kids out there working for pennies on the dollar while six flags get rich!!
Horrible!! This park has 1 way in and 1 way out. Had to park down by Rangers Stadium, Walk 20 minutes to entrance, then be herded like cattle into the mass entrance where it took 30 minutes to even get in!! From a safety perspective this park need to add another entrance.
It is not well maintained. There was litter everywhere, the paint on the rides is faded, and some rides were closed. I only saw 1 person who worked there who was sincerely nice and cared about the people at the park. A disappointment.
This is a great place to spend a few bucks for a great time. I mean, it's nothing like Disney or Universal. However, the range of rides make that up. Rides for little kids to adults to enjoy. If you do go in the summer, sip some coke for a discount
We always have a blast and great food out there as well. It is pricey but it is an amusment park. Great employees everyone is so friendly and very safe feel. Great for the whole family.
Was very enjoyable altho my current rating is due to the lack of ceilings or some form of cover to provide shade as you wait for rides my mom nearly had a stroke waiting for one ride if they would add a roof with basic ceiling fans to more of there rides then i would rate this 5 stars
I normally love six flags, but I went tonight and it was fright fest, i am never going to fright fest again. I was never scared by a zombie an the haunted house that was supposedly the best. It was do stupid and not even scary. This was in October and it saved my review. Now it is January and I just visited holiday in the park. Never go on a weekend. It is so packed I didn't even get to ride 1 ride. I am really disappointed with the park. I will continue to go but never during fright fest or holiday in the park.
Great park but read all the fine print in their little scam season pass. These people have a lot of nerve and will rip you off if you aren't careful. We did have fun at the park just not sure we got full value when they can't even honor what we were told. We canceled our pass and won't ever spend another penny at any Six flags, ESAD.
We had a great time but...getting info being first time season pass buyers was difficult. We did not receive lanyards as we expected and we're later told we should have received. The water rides were not running which was a big disappointment to my son, this was his first time, plus it was really hot (Memorial Day). They need more refill stations that are just strictly for refills. We paid 20 for a cup that promised free refills all day. Most lines were 30 min plus because they served ice cream plus the drinks. That was tough. Lines moved quickly and the staff was friendly. Can't wait to go back!
It's great if you have a pass to skip everyone. If you dont you might be upset as you see people walking past the 60 to 100+ people in line to jump ahead.
Fantastic place and really fun. Like amusement parks, and bane if all. Lines, were a pain to go through. I recommend going late at night or early in the morning. Plus it was a hot day, that made things miserable. But hey, it's Texas. They had some new rides we went on, which was fun, one of them was taxing to some the people in my group. Overall it was a fun visit. Also, there was a parade that was going on through the park, although it was no where near as good as some of Disney's parades. But, it was still fun.
Was there for the Fright Fest this last year in 2019 first time I ever been there at that time of the year and it was so amazing y'all were awesome the costumes scary just amazing thank you!
Huge amusement park, lots of food and drink options. They have season passes that make everything affordable. Open in the summer, and seasonally for Halloween, Christmas and spring break. Wear your walking shoes, and have a way to carry everything in your pockets for the rides.
It is a good park.. But earlier in the day alot of rides broke down after already waiting 49-60 mins In a line.. Note to self( flash pass).. but once everything got up and running, rides were fun and people were great.
Six Flags is NOT what it used to be. There were so many closed rides, there were NO character meet and greets and most of the employees were unprofessional and RUDE. We paid over $600 just to park and enter the gates, $100 in food, $50 in snacks, and over $75 in souvenirs. My kids were treated terribly by many of the staff members. I asked a question to 2 staff members and 1 didn't even bother to answer and the other only pointed. I cannot believe the way this place is run.
First time visiting from out of state where we love our Six Flags park, and I can say this one didn t disappoint! Went on La Vibora first, fun little bobsled ride that kids and adults can enjoy. New Texas Giant was sweet, not as good as Twisted Colossus at Magic Mountain but a lot like it. Runaway Mountain was weird but fun, I like the indoor coaster type. Superman was great my wife doesn t like drop rides like that, except she did enjoy this one since there was more to it than just going up and dropping down. The Joker was the best! We were paired up with a kid who was obsessed with it, and ended up going on it twice in a row too.
I go to Six Flags a few times every year as well as work out there part-time. Overall, great experience. Employees are friendly and hard working. Look for the new Harley Quinn ride opening this month.
Great experience every time. Memberships are worth every penny. Customer service does everything they can to help and make things right if there's a problem. Would definitely recommend for families with children of all ages!
Totally liked it!! Exciting rides and definitely fun time with kids, friends and family :-) I gave 4 star because on the day we went few of the "must do" rides were closed due to wind. So naturally other rides had too much wait time.
Hot. Miserable. Wait in line forever - for everything. Pay out the nose. Park far away. Need a drink? Wait in line 30 min. Need food? 1h or more. Expect lack of staff, apathetic lowest quality staff, high prices, hot af, too many people packed in. A very poor value. Oh and if you want a lightning pass... By the time you get your family fixed up, you're getting close to $1000 for my family of five. What a crock. Run away. 2 minutes on the Batman means 1hr wait. I mean yeah, it was fun, but not worth the trade off.
Our of all the amusement parks in the USA .. this one was over rated! This is our 4th time here now and everytime we come it is disappointing. The lines for everything is EXTREMELY LONG! The food booths need more employees meaning them.. all these children employed by the park need some adult supervision. Orders are wrong or messed up and they dont tell you until you received your food. The frozen bar needs to have a visible sign that states only one drink per ID, after waiting in line for an hour - that was very disappointing. You tell people before hand not at the register. The restrooms smell like pee. The tables where customers sit should be cleaned a few times a day.
Six flags over Texas is a great amusement park / roller coaster. I grew up going to magic mountain and now that i have a family of my own im passing the tradition. If you see yourself going often i suggest you get the membership its worth it. We sometimes just go in the evening to the park for dessert to ride maybe two or three rides. That's the benefit of our membership. #:")
What a great place!! We have had a blast visiting the past two years. Great staff and interactive actors. The gun fighting show was so much fun! I love experiencing with my kiddos some of the same rides I grew up with at Astroworld
Always a fun time. Holiday in the Park was a little lacking and the cost for smore making was ridiculous. However, our overall experience with a group of 100 kids was really good and I always feel safe there. Been going since I was a kid.
The park itself is kept tidy enough. Of course lines are a pain. The people who work there look miserable, but than you have those who are very helpful and in good spirits. We have season passes so we enjoy all the holidays displays and shows they do. I hear next year it will be opened year round!
Mr. Freeze is worth the wait. My favorite is Fright Night for Halloween because the rides are more fun in the dark but Holiday in the Park is cute and they make snow.
What a great time. Ive been a long standing attendee at this park and I've never had a bad experience. From the rides, to the customer service, people are willing to help you out however they can. The new rides are a constant thrill and the food is pretty good too. Kind of sad the splashdown got taken out, but over all tons of fun and a great time. Will be back for more!
Mostly the rides , a obvious answer but most rides in my life don't exactly have such a hype experience when sliding down insanely fast like The Joker , Batman , I also tried the superscreamer and another one that turned around a lot!
Park and attractions are amazing but the food price on anything is extreme. If you plan on going make sure you eat beforehand and bring your own water.
The pros are that it's close, admission is not too expensive, great meal deal, and fun rides for those who like to ride. Cons are there were only two characters and they looked like they were fresh from Times Square, most the places I wanted to shop were closed. The ones that were opened were selling stuff that looked knocked off and bootlegged. The place looks like it can use a facelift.
Make sure you do your research. Look up the best places to eat beforehand, check with the locals to see what rides are closed, don t get flash passes, and make sure to bring quite a load of money if you plan to do anything other than ride.
Firstly, let s talk about the park experience: the weather was nice, the entrance wasn t crowded, and parking didn t take too long. It does have mosquitoes, wasps, bees, etc., but it didn t effect us too much. If you plan to go more than once, get a season pass cup. If not, you won t get as many refills to have the day cup have much value. We went to Johnny Rockets, and instantly regretted it. $50 for 4 burgers, fries, and drinks. Felt a little too expensive until we got our food, after about 30 minutes. It was the worst hamburger I ve ever had. I literally think the burgers at my high school are better. No refills, which was at no surprise, and left me sick. Thankfully I had time to recover at the lines.
Oh yeah, the lines. At any amusement park, you should expect lines. Don t get flash passes, most rides don t have lanes for them. Thankfully we went through most of the high volume rides before a ton of people were there and had 5 minute lines. After about 12, the lines get pretty long, but after getting off of a ride, I never felt like I waited that long for THAT!? However, this could be due to many closed rides.
This may have just been an issue with our visit, but we had about 3 ride cancellations while in line. And we hadn t just gotten in the line, we were already about 30 minutes in. I m glad they didn t make us go on UNSAFE rides, it s just that the execution could ve been better.
Overall, a pretty good experience, but make sure you do your research.
