I keep getting review reminders, so here goes. Six Flags Over Texas is mostly wonderful. A little pricey, considering everything required to drink, eat and do to enjoy it for the day. For the most part, everyone is friendly and knowledgable. Quite a few if the rides were not operating. Finally, from my (challenged) perspective, it's a little hard to get around. A lot of hills and rough pavement.

Six flags is never praised for being a pleasant place to go to and there are definitely some reasons why. The only reason people go to six flags is for the fun. You don't go for the good service or the clean grounds. You only go for the enjoyment and thrill. It would be really nice for some initiative and urgency in the employee department because like most people I don't love sitting in long lines for anything. But I guess you could just say that it is just the "experience".

This time I went was crazy. There were loads of people there over spring break and still more were coming. For lunch the things we purchased were expensive. We were five people and only three of us ended up getting drinks just because of how expensive the food was. The cost added up to $123.56, and we had only brang around 500 dollars. The rest of the day wasn't that bad. The food I had eaten gave me a stomach bug so I didn't really go on those "hardcore rides" but next time I'll make sure to eat somewhere else. We stayed there for at least 9 hours, everyone was having fun, some of us almost ended up nauseating. But other than that the day went well, we had fun, and spent pretty much all our money. I ended up having at least $20 so next time I'll be prepared and bring more money.

If I could rate it no stars I would. I took my partner to Six Flags Over Texas for her birthday and it was a disaster. Every ride we tried to get on was shut down. We went to customer relations to get a refund because we drove 4 and a half hour there and back a total of 10 HOURS in one day just to ride only ONE ride. We only spent two hours there if that. Just for customer relations to tell us it s not a guarantee that we would get a refund because we live in Texas. It doesn t not matter. We paid almost $200 just to ride ONE ride and go home. We did not get to experience anything but disappointment. It was not our fault that the roller coasters weren t working but yet we have to suffer.
I will NEVER GO TO
SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE!!!

A lot of fun for every age! It gets crowded mid afternoon and then becomes a long wait in lines, but it s expected. Multiple visits needed to check out the whole park. Season passes are best!

It's expensive as hell but well worth it if you go on the days where the park isn't exploding with people. You get short wait times if you're even waiting and might even get lucky and ride the attractions more than once

Went to Six Flags Holiday in the Park last nite and it put us in the Christmas Spirit. Great staff in Character and music and shows throughout the Park & live Animals. Will Definitely be back this year

Lots of fun, clean. The lines weren't too long on a Sunday. Fun coasters. Especially liked the Titan, Big Texas, and Mr. Freeze. Wanted to ride the Joker but it was closed. Went to a gunfight show and it was cool. Unlimited drinks is definitely worth it!!!! Good family fun for all ages. Somewhat expensive but you end up getting your money's worth.

Lots of fun to revisit my childhood with my kids! I am crushed that splashwater falls is closed & being taken down!!!! It was always a favorite. There are some new rides that are seriously intense - one I will NEVER subject myself thru again...I wont name names. My daughter wanted to ride the new El Diablo but couldn't talk anyone else in the family to go with her. Family really liked Justice League but I got baby duty on that one. Btw, get the double stroller or bring a wagon if u have little ones. We got the single stroller & between the diaper bag, stuffed animals, drinks, & souvenirs...I think my toddler was in there too somewhere...it was not enough & got too heavy on the back side. If uve got to deal with a stroller anyways, go ahead & make sure u have extra space for everyone's stuff! Tho I told hubby to pack the folding wagon & he did not. But that's my bad for not checking before we left the house. The Roaring Rapids were way tamer than I remember & the waterfall is gone?! I have found memories of friends getting stuck under the waterfall & drenched! We got the membership & definitely used the perks. Just a heads-up on the skip the line passes - know which rides u want before u get up to the counter bc they make u pick the rides right then. If u know the rides well - no problem, but I'd been 15 years since I'd been so I just guessed & we ended up with some wasted passes. Everyone had a good time & my kids r ages 2 to 16 so its challenging to get everyone happy at once.

Love six flags over texas the original six flags park! Love the nostalgia there. Always a great mix of classic rides and modern rides.fright fest and holiday in the park are some of the best times to go there. Family fun for everyone young and old alike...

Season passholder here!! My kids love going to Six Flags. They still have the classic rides that we rode when we were kids and some pretty new ones too. It can get expensive but if you have the season pass along with the dinning pass it is really cheap. You get lunch dinner and 2 snacks for one dinning pass with refillable drinks. If you get the dining pass make sure you do not put your cups in the dish washer...it won t be pretty! Go early and you won t have to wait long in lines.

It s been quite sometime since I visited six flags last. But I was very impressed. Although it was pretty cold and the trolley was closed which made the walk to the park a quick one. I will definitely return.

I have always loved this park until the flash pass. I understand they get a shorter wait but to give them sole priority is not right. I pay to ride the rides but if there's a line for flash pass they will load only them before loading those of us that can't afford the flash pass. Should be flash pass group in one load then regular line the next load. Y'all are going to end up losing a lot of members this way...Fyi same problem with single rider lines except the single riders get left to wait way longer than what's right

I use to go there when i was a child and this is the 1st time in a very long time that I got to go. I won't be making that mistake again. Had a horrible time and everything was very expensive, like a 20 oz bottle of water was 6 dollars!

I would love to give FIVE starts ,BUT the staff in the gift shops have no idea about the park. ( Where things are like witch way to witch rides , or how to get to witch restaurant) I would like to believe the gift shops employees would be crossed trained in order to answer questions about the park itself, other than that ride operators seem to be friendly, my wife and I visited the park a week after it reopened from The COVID-19 shut down, we both witness multiple rides being closed so that they could clean the rides and sanitizer for healthy standards which makes me feel good about going back to the park tomorrow

You d think that with today s technology they could figure out a way to speed up the parking situation. What s up with all the booths? They need to take a lesson from the books of the toll roads; scan and go! Not only is it extremely frustrating for the people trying to get into the park, but it backs up into other roads around the park. You d think, after all these years, Six Flags would have solved this problem.

This place is fun, but on the cold, cloudy, and windy day that my friends and I went it was also kind of miserable. A lot of the bigger rollercoasters were closed for a while and the lines were packed. Plus they closed and reopened a bunch of rides at random points throughout the day and brought in technicians which felt super sketch. Their large coasters are really fun though.

We got the season pass and dining plan on a deal around memorial day, and my younger kids and wife have been really enjoying it. Lines can be long, but it's understand. It's less busy during the week.

I've been going to six flags ever since 2017 and it's been getting more popular. The food is delicious, the rides are extremely fun(My favorite is Superman), though prices are a little high in stores there, but I'll still rate 5 stars.

Do not buy a monthly membership from ANY Six Flags park. They have sold so many that you just about can't eve get into the park anymore without dealing with enormous lines everywhere. Then, if you try to cancel your membership, they make that process as hard as they possibly can. Anyone that makes cancelling a membership as hard as they do ... is doing business unethically, in my opinion. If you want Six Flags tickets, buy them when you want to go or buy a season pass. DO NOT enter into a membership.

So Six Flags is just awesome but my review is for those with kids and trying to be on a budget--bring your own lunch, which I saw a lot of people do when we went. We took our lunch and when we took a break from our fun, we came out of the park and ate in the nearby park. We caught the "tram" to our location, ate and then caught the tram back. Nothing major to it.

It's also good to know where the restrooms are so you when you have really young kids because as we all know, when they need to go, there is not much time.

But otherwise, the rides are awesome. We did a whole bunch of rides and it was just all good. The best times to go is when school is still in session because the lines are a lot smaller. But it means you need to take your child(ren) out of school :)

Here's a little funny thing I noticed, of all the rides, my kids loved the little electric cars the most. It's either they really did love it or they were just so tired and it was a good place to rest their feet. Either way, they enjoyed it and we did that ride multiple times--granted the lines weren't too long for it either.

We always have a great time and the staffis always very friendly . My husband and I are regulars there so it's nice that they recognise us and greet us by name. We have a membership and dining pass that are a great value and lots of great food choices.

Fun rides and games, cool shops to check out. Most of the staff is pretty terrible though. We picked un awfully hot day to go but the park is full of spots to sit and take a break, shaded areas and misters to help stay cool.

Edit: they have been much better lately and most of the issues below have been addressed.

I have loved six flags for 20 years so it hurts me to finally have to write a negative review, but it sadly should not even be in business. Don t get me wrong I want Six Flags to succeed and make money, but this is not how you do it.
While you may be enticed by the extremely cheap season pass and the new pay by the month membership pass(with 12 month agreement) you will quickly see why they can afford this.

On any given day for months, around half of the park rides are closed. Not just water rides, which I can understand during approaching fall(though it is 90 degrees most days in Texas) but kid, intermediate, and thrill rides as well.
Some major draws such as runaway mountain has been out of service for over a month for technical issues. Even though it is hands down the best ride for fright fest, it has not been open any day for it.

Remember having entertainment in the line while you wait 1-3 hours, which are still normal during off peak season because of so many closures causing the few rides open to have summer break like lines.
All of those fun line attractions such as the alligators and water fall for runaway mountain, or the effects in the mr freeze line, or animatronics anywhere?
All gone.

Don t even think about buying a photo pass. Most of the rides using it don t work or have issues with the photo system.
Want pictures with your favorite characters? Haven t seen them in years even as the summer heat resides.

Long story short, if you like dead malls and dead amusement parks, but with crowds and having to pay for it, this is the place for you to see rusted and paint chipped structures.

I really like the older attractions but the the the park does not update that stuff.
The park for the most part is very dated. I have been going here since 1970. It seems like the park owners are only interested in bigger bader roller coasters not updating or even just cleaning up the basic structures in the park. I would be inclined to buy tickets more often if the park had more stuff to ride that didn't make me want to throw up or feel like I have a concussion.

Very clean park. But the staff are very unfriendly. They need a staff meeting, or go take notes on how disney staff operate. No one knew anything about anything, and they were full of attitude. Bad attitude! No smiles. Anywhere from any staff.

Food is mediocre for the price you pay. Drink cups are worth it and good value, especially for summer months.

Very fun, but we went on the Saturday before Halloween and there were thousands of people there. Weekdays are $54.99 per ticket and weekends are $81.99 a ticket. The traffic was so bad too lol. We spent most of our time in the car waiting to get in and then in line at the park. What was supposed to be a fun trip to the park at 7 turned into we finally rode the batman at 10pm. Only got to ride 2 rides the whole night. Besides that, though the park is great. I highly recommend going on a weekday if you can swing it.

This park was one I visited when I was younger. My dad described it as an old park but I had to check it out for my self.

Lets call this my first visit because I only remember the parking lot trams and maybe some of the rides. We entered the park using my Diamond Elite Membership from San Antonio and remembered to reserve the close parking which was not so close compared to Fiesta Texas but a little walk never hurt anyone.

We came to a long line somewhat no different then Fiesta Texas but I observed a staff member start a second line around the wrong direction then started a new line along the correct side then told everyone in the wrong line to move to the back. Glad that wasn't me. I would be asking for management. Moving On The member services line was SCREWED! I decided I would rather pay $20 to replace my member cup instead of wait an estimated 1 hour (Member Services Managers estimate). I then proceeded to pay for a Skip the Line for 2 people.

DON"T PAY FOR SKIP THE LINE... Almost every ride we reserved got stuck and cancled or was shutdown. We only got two rides which was the Joker (BatMan at Fiesta Texas) and the Texas Giant.

And to mention the trash again some of the kiddie rides smelled like a combination between Trash, dead rodent, and toilet water. The kids even asked about it which was slightly embarrassing that I would take them to a place like that. The midway games mostly seemed skill based and we all know that means the house wins the majority of the time.

If you make all that money why can't you Clean up the trash in the pods, the floors under the rides, Fix the smell, and apply a fresh coat of paint. Also train your staff better on dry runs because its ridiculous to have to wait for a manager to override multiple mistakes. This park gets a Thumbs down and I might never make a trip specifically for this park again..just saying..

When for Holiday in the Park, lights were pretty but I think I had higher expectation of some magical winter wonderland and felt a little underwhelmed. Typical fun six flags experience overall. If you need some "liquid courage" to tackle a thrilling rollercoaster, don't waste your money on the margaritas. Very weak, couldn't even tell if had any liquor at all.

They're staff where amazing, I am afraid of heights well i was, and one of the staff noticed me being afraid, of riding Titan and helped me, i would say that it is a great place, i'm going again in a week.

This is good place to visit in DALLAS with family and friends. Lot of amusement. You can see multiple rides for kids and adults. Nicest place I have visited. You can get food inside. Some rides are very fearful for me but it may be fun for others

It's too much fun and it's interesting and really amazing to be in and around it and it's rides, I love the roller coasters and all the other big and small rides. Arcades are best and foods, drinks and snacks are brilliant too. Thanks.

Great for teenagers seeking thrill rides, for everyone else it is not worth the admission. Fast passes only help for a few rides and definitely not worth the costs. Park is not kept up that well and many areas frankly smell. There is a good amount of shaded areas.

The social distancing is definitely not enforced since everyone ignores the rules and gets right on top of each other, the masks are done the same way so this creates a big hazard on top of another. Sanitization is definitely needing to be improved because none of the high touch points or entry areas are sprayed so this yet again creates another hazard. Drinks currently are priced differently than advertised, I was charged $15 for a can of Modelo when I can get a 12 pack for that price. Man six flags sure has gone down the drain.

The rides are great and thrilling. its just that i got pulled by security for "dress code" for my shorts. I was escorted to where they sold shorts, so i can be able to enter and their shorts that they had me buy or else i could not enter was shorter in length than my shorts and in my size. Also a woman walked by me with just as length in my shorts and i asked why she didnt get dressed coded and the response i got was "i saw nothing". I dont know why i got singled out, but to bring up a violation right after i bought season tickets with no where posted of rules of anywhere in dresscode is a little silly to me.

Sooo disappointed with even upgrading my membership. Tried buying some burgers at the kiosk and it wouldn't accept my season pass to get the discount so had to get in the long line. Remind me what's the purpose of your kiosk if they're not working properly?

I had fun at Six Flags. The rides at Six Flags are pretty cool, my favorite was Batman I had a lot of fun riding them. The food was also really good, I tried the Funnel Cake and the Burgers and they tasted pretty good. The cons of Six Flags are the waiting and the price. It takes a really long time to get into a ride on average 25 minutes, there is one way you can skip the line though and that is by buying the Flash Pass which leads me to the other problem. In conclusion I had fun over there but $$$ and patience is a thing you need to remember when visiting Six Flags

The park is open but half of the rides are closed. They are still OK with charging you full price and not mentioning anything about the closures. We had a full plan including many of rides to ride, and more were closed than opened. Only reason it is not one star is because they did a good job with COVID prep. If you are looking to ride all the rides, prepare to be disappointed. Right now I would say it is not worth it. Only were able to ride 5 out of the 12 rides we wanted to ride.

Nov 30th perfect weather. No rides necessary if you dont want to. Lots to do and see. The lines all seemed short though. Fires burning here and there to huddle around and make yummy, gooy s'mores. Carol's playing and lots of twinkling lights. Great date night.

I've loved this Six Flags since I was a kid. Lots of rides, old and new. Some rides dont run and i dont understand that. They have added several new rodes over the years and I love that. Overall the park is clean, easy to navigate with their app so you know where to go and how long a wait you may have. Plenty of thrill seeker rides, mild-beginner riders, a kids section and extras for cash. Like a petting zoo, carnival games and a bungy ride. Also several rest areas and many different food choices. From burgers, brisket nachos, corn dogs to chinese food and pizza.

Great place, horrible members services office. No-one seemed capable or willing to help and when manager was asked for he didn't even bother leaving the group of friends he was talking with he didn't even get out of the stool he was sitting in to answer my questions. Finally just got fed up with it and walked away.

The staff were welcoming, kept everyone politely in check about the masks, and kept the rides clean. I personally had a great time with my friends and 95% of the rides were open for operation and hardly any lines.

The company is treating season pass holders with reservations over COVID-19 poorly. Texas continues to rise in infection count and the company will not allow holders to pause their passes.

I am currently having an issue with upgrading and accessing my membership online. There is no one I can speak to and all recordings suggest going online (responses take a week). I was on hold for 20 minutes and finally had to either leave a message or go online. Six flags deserves 1 star for customer service. It s a shame their child workers give the best service but you cannot get an adult on the phone when you need one.

As a bonus, we also got to do the Fright Fest houses as well which were great.
We have the season pass and the dining pass and though we live just a little north of Houston, we've been able to go quite a bit because of the affordability of planning visits using our passes.
The Pandemonium roller coaster is great for all ages, & there are plenty of rides for the smallest children as well as all ages -- as usual, you have to be about 4' tall to ride the "thrill rides" (so the safety f...

Holiday in the park
Traveled over 200 miles with family to experience holiday in the park. Since it was a one day visit we only had normal tickets. We spent the day waiting and waiting because we did not purchase upgraded tickets. While at one show, we were first in line with no explanation of any kind of entry order. We were pushed to the side and the ushers let everybody in, then let us in last. We were told we were in the line for upgraded passes, yet no explanations or signs to represent that fact. Well is was a wasted day, if your upgraded then you don't matter. On top of this, you are also being charge thirty dollars to park your car, 12.99 for a very low grade cheeseburger basket and six bucks for a drink. I advise if you are in the fort worth area look around, there are many better choices on how to spend your day. Do not plan on returning to six flags anytime soon, it used to be a nice place to go but now seems to be a total rip.

Thrill Ride Lover Paradise! The vast majority of the park are exceptionally skilled at what they do though I did notice a bit of passive antisocialism and picking at each other by a slight handful of the associates. Yet, the number one theme of this park I could not help but notice was the emphasis on the making of some serious money. Whether this corporation is publicly owned or not, I have still to research but WOW! It draws it's patrons into a megaland of a labryinth and once inside - no signs posted anywhere as to the general direction of the park gate - it gets the guests lost inside of a place where EVERYTHING (from a ride t-shirt all the way down to a bottle of water) is pricejacked the hundteds-of-fold. And whoever designed the park Really did their homework as at the conclusion of a main attraction, the riders are funneled through a merchandise shed - which can actually be a good thing, else the opportunity to pick up a souvenir could be missed- just like most independently owned airports of the Modern World do! However, it is an Awesome Layout...

Frequent the park often and tonight we've just left fright fest. The actors are great! I do wish there were more shows centered in the park because the walking in the dark gets exhausting.
