It's an iconic amusement park. They move lines as quickly and efficiently as they possibly can while maintaining a high level of safety. They're adding new rides consistently and keep the older ones maintained exceedingly well. There's a valid reason there's a road named after this place, and that reason is the park's iconic look and place as a local landmark
The ride are very fun and the workers there are very nice
Too many people. To have half the rides and restaurants closed
Great time with the family here, almost no wait at any one ride, the place was very clean and the park view is great, our family loved it here, will definitely be back soon!!
We have season passes , which btw if u live in Georgia it's a great thing to have,we literally go all the time. I think the food selection is ok , it's never hot and they should revisit the menu and proper food etiquette. This past weekend I witness them trying funnel cakes in grease that look 100 years old. The park is a blast the kids love it and we cannot wait until WH
White waters open
Wasn't crowded much and lines were very short. Weather also permitted
Consessions/eateries were awful as far as service. Rides were great and quick! The upgraded Cyclone was amazing!
Being me and my childrens first time at six flags over GA, being a new resident of Georgia from Ohio and a Kings Island member I will say it was nice although spending a nice amount every month for a elite diamond membership the customer service and quality of food service was a 2.. Flat burned burgers old chicken fingers old food that I clearly sewn cooked prior to dinner was stored in a container that the employee got out and it was awful I couldn't believe she had the audacity to look at me as if I was displeased this experience was with the stop at Johnny's ..there where young employees that where very very unprofessional and attitudes sucked...I will give it another visit but I'm not happy paying a nice price for my family and I to have a good experience and it was just a 2 .
Lines were exceptionally long! It's almost like they are forcing you to buy the "Flash Pass Platinum"
Get the membership and it's like summer day camp for teens
Loved it so much my whole family became members, this place is awesome the lines are not super long, the food is great, the waterpark is refreshing and a great way to cool off, and the rides are great. It's a must go, and for those without a car the public drops you off right in front of Great Adventure.. How awesome is that
Rides closed down due to weather but, overall great place to spend family and friend time!!
The rides are great, but decent customer service is non existent!! Every time we visit we encounter the rudest people working here! We buy season passes with meal plans every year and each visit is worse than the last! If something is not right with your order and you tell them they automatically get confrontational. Half of the staff in the restaurants should be fired! We go to guest relations to let them know what happened and they are kind and apologetic. They say they will elevate it and the employee may need retraining. Yeah right... Six Flags needs to take some lessons from Disney!
Very good rides. The park is easily accessible from the interstate. The lines were quick. The only problem I had was the high price of the concessions and the fact that there was so many eateries in the park that were closed.
Had so much fun each visit, the season pass is so worth it..
Love it Love it My 6 year Daughter digs Her VIP pass with Rides,Dinner,Snack and Unlimited Drinks!!Good Job Six Flags Public Relations!!
Fright fest was amazing this year and it ends November 2, so get in while you.
Multiple rides broke down while we were in line (Thunder River, Georgia Scorcher twice, Superman, DareDevil 4 times). Long lines EVERYWHERE, even for the WAY overpriced food. There for 10 hours and we rode a grand total of 5 rides. You could always spend $1500 or so to upgrade your tickets for a family of 4 to get priority seating. Used to love this place as a kid, but if I ever go back, it'll be too soon.
We LOVE Six Flags!!! We have Memberships and go every chance we can!!!
Literally the worse experience at Six Flags in the 20 years I have been attending! Over the years staff have become careless, rude, and have a personality of a door knob. I arrived at 10AM and left at 7PM and had only rode 6 rides! WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY! Second ride of the day, The Mind Bender, got stuck at the top. It broke down! We were stuck for 10 mins at a slant 50+ft off the ground (staff didn t care and laughed). All rides shut down (after a power outage) during a 2 min mist of rain. Most rides were never running even from the start of the day. Most rides broke throughout the day. Every line I waited in the staff would tell us to leave bc the ride had just broke. Just over all worst day to be at Six Flags and with the way things are going, it will probably be my last time attending this so called Theme Park!
Fright Fest was lame and another day at the park. The rides kept shutting down because of technical issues.
Had a total blast!! The wait times were very reasonable, the staff was very friendly, and the service was awesome!! Definitely going back sooner rather than later!!
My family went on Father's Day.
We paid 40.00 for premium parking and there was this poor little older gentleman all by himself was having to chase cars down who didnt have a parking pass.
We purchased the 18.00 all day refillable cups, and by noon they had ran out of drinks and ice. And the areas we could buy drinks had to close due to understaffing. The poor kid at one station literally stated she would get fired for not clocking out on time... so I couldn't even buy my grandkid an icee . ..
But the most disturbing part of our day was....
There was a gang of teenagers that jumped a young man in line for calling the number for line jumpers(really Six Flags shame on you for not putting enough staff to protect the lines). Then the same group began ransacking the shops and running us all over. Like literally ran down, knocked to the ground! There was no where near enough security to control the situation. My family had to leave because we didnt feel it was safe to stay for remainder of our day.
I understand uncontrollable situations happen, but when you have tens of thousands people paying these prices for our family vacation there should be enough security on staff to squash it immediately and not be so bad people have to leave the park .
I did send an email to the Contact Us link and apparently the park felt this was commonplace because we got not even an apology.
Sad disheveled little park. Memories are the best thing I can say about this amusement park. It needs a serious renovation and the cost for everything from a tiny $10 funnel cake to $25 parking is too expensive for the average family. The lines are crazy long, half the rides weren't working, the shows are so sad. The rides were very dated and didn't have the in-line experiences they used to have, boring long lines to ride for 30 seconds. I couldn't even find cotton candy. Seriously? I went for roller coasters and cotton candy and only managed to get in one ride for the afternoon. The few hours there cost approximately $110 to simply walk around trying to find a roller coaster with under an hour wait time and pay a lot of money to do nothing. If they wanted to get more money for food and merchandise, they should make it more affordable and people would buy more. I have been going here for over 40 years and always loved Six Flags, especially the coasters. The memories will always be great though.
The kids had a blast. The lines weren't extremely long. I guess because of the overcast sky. What ever the reason, we were happy!
The only thing that I didn't like was on the calendar it said they were going to close at 7pm, but they actually stayed open until 9pm.
Loved it, just don't ride the American Scream Machine if you don't want to have pain in your back
Terrible day. Superman ride down, wait 2 hrs for scream machine and it broke down. Now at dive coaster and it broke down. But no problem at taking $125.00 for some drinks and meals. Kids disappointed to say the least.
The rides are fun! We purchased four memberships and guest relations was very helpful in doing so. When we used our membership card to buy additional items like food and souvenirs, the discount was not given. No one could resolve it and when we left out guest relations was closed. It is disappointing not to receive the perks that are listed for the membership. The food at one of the funnel cake places we went to was horrible!!!
Pleasant staff, great rides and food! My only complaint is that the burger restaurant at the entrance is next to the sewers, and near the end of the day did not have a pleasant smell and attracted flies. The other food stands are great though, and clean.
This is a business that should have waited to reopen, between most rides being closed for my young child the price for admission did not change this was a waste of money and time will never go back
Worth the money, especially if you are a thrill seeker
Great time they should've had more restaurant's open
My first time ever at six flags, me and my husband had a blast! However... The other reviews are correct about the staff, most of them are young adults who don't act mature. I even heard some of them using curse words which is not good considering this is a FAMILY park. Most of them don't even know how do answer questions about the park, my husband has to ask 5 different crew members the same question and got all different answers. Six Flags needs new staff, and in the beginning we purchased a green drink cup but come to find out we got free drinks because we were members. If someone told us that in the begining we could have saved a ton of money.
Glad to see they are making this place shiney and updated. Employees much friendlier so some training has happened. Much better experience than last 3years.
Awesome place to take your family or friends to. Most importantly eat before you go
A lot has changed. If, you haven't been in a while or at all, it's worth the visit. Plenty to do for all ages. I, would suggest looking into, membership packages and dining packages. As, expected, high prices inside. The packages pay off within the first visit.
Nice and cool day so was soo much fun. As usual food is wayy overpriced.
It's definitely a fun place for the family! Lots of rides, lots of food, and many other things to keep you entertained. They do run things on the cheap so you do have to take that into account if you are comparing it to Disney or another upscale theme park. Also they employ a lot of high school age team members to work in food service and other service jobs so you cannot expect a lot of hospitality on that range of folks.
I love Six Flags so much! I just wish the park stayed open longer.
Six Flags Over Georgia Is A Experience I Feel Every Living Human Should Enjoy Unless You Afraid Of Breaking Fears. I Do Prefer The Flash Pass, And If You Have Kids No Can't Say No To Them Don't Walk In No Shops. It's A Shop For All Eateries. And Enough Rides Till Take The Whole Day To Cover (With Flash Pass).
Disappointed!!!! Hardly any rides were open, grass is grown up, staff not friendly, the whole park stinks, literally!!
The best place to go for fun. Not the best place to work, but it would definitely be fun. Prices are sky rocketed, but it is worth it because it is so much fun here.
There is a lot to do with candy shops, the rides of course, and the fun themed stores. The drinks are a little expensive like $5 for water but lots of fun for big and little kids
We have a season pass and we always have fun here the ride lines move fairly quick the Food Lines do not, that is the only place I see that Six Flags could work on
We had a great time! We took a group of students from SC, and our children had a blast! My only concern was that one of the students reported to a worker that he was lost. According to the student, the worker said, "They're still here. You'll find him." We didn't find him until an hour and a half later. That was a scary hour. IF this is how it played out, the workers need to be reminded of the procedures for reuniting lost children with their groups.
Yesterday's trip was one of the worst trips to the park wr have evet had. Between rides being closed, the park was seriously understaffed.
Great family day. The park is great at
Introducing new concepts every few years
Half of the rides worked, but still charged full price.
I always have fun at six flags. Great place during covid since there is lots is sanitizer and opportunities to social distance.
Not enough food places at hurricane harbor and for the little amount of food I got is ridiculous for the price. Come on guys
Rides were fun but staff for the most part were super rude. Dude even made fun of my friends dyed hair at the miners cafe.
It's six flags ... Lines are way to long an slow. Everything is over priced an not worth it. 20oz coke is $5.50 or you pay for a cup thats $30 an in order to get a refill you gotta wait in another line for almost 45 mins.. Terrible place
To start off my birthday holiday vacation, this was my first stop in my trip. This was also my first time here at Six Flags Over Georgia. This review is based on my visit on July 31, 2020.
I arrived about 20 minutes before the gates opened, so I spent most of day at the park from opening. Entering was a breeze thanks to purchasing tickets online including the parking. The park overall during Covid-19 was excellent in my opinion. Upon entering everyone walks through the temperature screening tunnel, bag check/security metal detector, and finally turnstile.
I did not get park map because I like to explore a park on my own starting at one section of a park. The first coaster was excellent since I was able to get the entire car to myself. That was awesome just like the ride. From here I wondered around the park doing all the attractions that was open. During my visit there was very low crowds making wait times to zero to 5 minute waits throughout the day.
There are some interesting attractions here that I have never encountered at other theme parks or attractions. My top 3 attractions are: Daredevil, Twisted Cyclone, and Monster Mansion here. Daredevil was an interesting coaster with a steep drop. Twisted Cyclone is a hybrid coaster of wood and steel. Monster Mansion was a fun boat ride with some scary elements.
I was not a fan of the old coasters because they were very painful to ride with all the head banging and knee banging. Most of the attractions were open except the Justice League, which was inside. The price was great for the low crowds, fun attractions, and safety elements in place for the pandemic. I felt safe with the hand sanitizers everywhere.
My only major complaint was the poor quality of food served here at the high prices. The burger had a small patty on a large bun that was cold with cold dried out fries. Yuk!
Overall I really enjoyed myself here for the day. Finding a discount ticket is worth the visit. The parking rate was very high in my opinion. I would suggest lowering the parking rate for the difficult times of the pandemic. The day I went was a hot day, but I did not mind the heat while wearing a mask. I saw a lot of guests not wearing their mask or not wearing it properly. The staff did enforce the rule on attractions and told those who did not wear it properly not to come back. They also stopped the ride to enforce the mask rule. The staff was very nice and polite during my visit.
In the end, I supposed I had a great time during my visit. I was skeptical to enter a park during the pandemic, but it was fine. Six Flags did their best to provide a safe park and I approved. Just wish other guests would wear a mask properly.
Getting into the park was okay but I didn t understand why I had to take my purse off if security was going to check it anyways. Just a waste of time. Medal detector and wand. Like expand the front gate. It should be an age limit for big kids when it comes to Looney Tune Town...or whatever it s called. Some teenager wet my girls up intentionally. Had to buy them a new outfit. The people working the rides in the kids part wasn t happy at all!! The Joker broke down...after waiting in line FOREVER. The diner we ate in was nasty af. Do adults even work at Six Flags? THE RESTROOMS need to be cleaned or checked every 15-30 minutes. Who place the trash can right by the napkins? Not smart. So when you get the napkins it comes out on the garbage can! Um, no one knew ish they all seemed clueless. Just have the free bottles and lainers at the gate for the ppl who have memberships.
Just went yesterday for Kroger Appreciation Day for their employees. Overall, my best friend and her family & I enjoyed ourself. I just have a PSA about the rides. Although I didn't have this problem, I think the public should know that the rides are NOT one size fits all. Your experience at SF could be a waste of your money. Depending on your stature, you may not fit the seats and/or the seatbelts may not be able to secure you. If you have a heavy chest, the chest protector may not go down enough to lock in. Or, the waist protector may not go over your thighs do to your plus size built to lock. However, some plus size people including myself fit with no problem were able to ride so it just varies. I do like how discreet the SF controllers try to resolve the situation as well as professionally and calmly inform the rider that the seatbelt won't lock.
park is not yet open! extremely disappointing, & as a roller coaster lover, also very surprising, as the weather has been seasonably perfect for literally months! as someone from the north, i dont understand WHY this attraction is not yet open (as with MANY places in/around atl)!
Always fun, but a lot of the rides were closed, so the rest had huge lines
Love this place since I was a kid. The rides are great. The Superman and Batman ride are the best. The first time I rode the Superman ride all I did was laugh. Bathrooms are very well placed and food options are very numerous. I main complaint is there needs to be fans/misters over the lines forevery ride.
A good place to hang out and have fun. Great for families. Only problem is that the food is pricey
We had a great time thank you for the great experience Expresly all your help your staff was wonderful
We brought our son there for his 5th birthday. He had great fun!
Fun and at the same time the roller coaster was crazy and it's a good place to bring family.
One hell of an evening that was! Had great time with friends. Loved the rides. Had to wait for long time in queue for few rides. Superman, dare devil and golaith are my favorites. We went in the evening and free we rides were closed. Not sure it's like that everyday though. Apart from the fun stuff, food places are lot expensive. I would want to visit again and recommend this place if you enjoy roller coaster rides.
Always a fun time with the family. Love the reservation process so that the park was not overcrowded.
What is not to love about a theme park. Six Flags does not dissapoint. Something to do for all ages and ability. Convenient location and ease of access. The annual memberships are the way to go with the dining pass.
Be ready to pay $ 5 per pill of water every hour in the summer. They do not allow you to enter your own water and food, the food does not have quality and very expensive.
Pretty decent amusement park. Food is decent and long wait. Honestly tasted like high school cafeteria food. Wouldn t recommend eating here unless it s maybe like ice cream or something.
Brings back childhood memories everytime i visit. Me and my friends came every week during our freshman year in highschool.
Now this place was my hangout back in the day. A lot has changed since then though. It's cool to have the pool/beach area, but the uncool part is that the females walking around exposed with there swimsuits. Now I'm not a hater at all, just a mother now with three boys and two girls. I am teaching my girls about their value and how to respect themselves and how others should respect them. As for my boys I am teaching them how to respect females and to value what goes beyond what they see. We had an also time it's just hard for a parent to keep things in perspective when everywhere we were there were half dressed females. And believe me when I was young I thought that was cool but as I got older and developed new perspectives and higher relationships, I learned otherwise. I did see where six flags were trying to correct the attire of some females by requesting that they buy t-shirts and escorting the to the nearest shop. But with so much danger out there covering up is the best practice. Overall, great time.
there were zero lines on military appreciation weekend. practically made myself sick riding coaster after coaster. not the prettiest Park, but the rides and wait times were on point
My family and I drove from Alabama to visit Six Flags on August 1st 2020. We were a bit surprised when we saw that the park doesn't open until noon (I thought I remember it opening at 10 or 11am) but thought perhaps it was because of the pandemic. Noticed sanitizer stations kept running out of hand sanitizer which was disappointing because it seems like a must after getting off each ride. There were also a lot of unnecessary delays due to a lack of efficiency with the rides. Seems like workers need more training. At 7:24 pm, we decided to end our day with riding Superman (our favorite ride). The worker stopped us and said the ride was closed. We explained that we had a fast pass so wouldn't be adding to the regular line but he said no and offered no explanation as to why. We decided to go ahead and leave. As we walked out of the park, we could see all of the other rollercoasters and rides were still operating and putting people on them. Thus, it was frustrating that we lost our chance to ride anything else because of what seemed liked a lazy/unprofessional ride operator. We have visited an array of amusement parks throughout the years, and we've never seen a park or ride operator close a ride 30 minutes before the park closed (unless it was broken down, of course). Already bad enough the park is only open 8 hours but to close rides 30 minutes early? We paid $150 per ticket and spent over $500 at six flags. We felt a little cheated... Not sure if we will be back after this experience. Six flags needs more professional workers and staff.
We all had a great time. The park was clean and the staff was very friendly. It being opening weekend the lines for the rides were very short.
Very disappointed in this place my family will never return.young kids running this park very rude.
My family had an awesome time.. Can't wait to come back
Love that the bathroom was so clean and no long lines to get in. Need to have food for people who don't eat meat
Fun for the family. Seems like there were more rides not working than one would expect. Also, pricing is tricky (coupons/promos/membership) ... hard to figure out how to get a good fair price.
Its not disney world but man its still fun good place for the kids a date its fun its different.
