I always enjoy going to six flags, I am a season pass holder. I have been going to fright fest for the past 5 years. There seemed to be a bigger turnout this year, however the shows didn't seem to be as good as in the past

Fun rides, but terrible customer service! We were having issues with opening our locker at the Georgia Scorcher. The attendant called for a locker associate to come and help us. After waiting an hour, no one showed up, so we asked the attendant if the locker associate was coming and we didn't really receive an answer. After waiting about 30 mins longer, still no one showed up to help us. We ended up trying different codes with the locker, and it finally opened. We were so frustrated that we had to wait over an hour and 30 mins for someone to help us, only for no one to show up, that we grabbed our stuff and left.
Six Flags was not a good experience for me. I do not think you should pay so much money for your stay and only ride one or 2 rides. The staff are awful; and I don't think it should take more than hour just to grab what Chick-fil-A could make better. I'm sorry, but Six Flags you need to to do better.
I bought dining passes for my family after seeing that there are healthy options (I'm vegan). As it turns out, there is almost nothing in the park that I can have for lunch or dinner. Everything is meat. Or soaked in cheese. I went to one restaurant that had a salad only to find that the salad is topped with cheese, eggs, bacon, ham, and tomato. When you remove all of the animal products, you're left with only lettuce and tomato. These days people are starting to learn just how unhealthy meat and dairy are for us, and more and more people are going vegan. Six Flags needs to step up and serve some vegan options!! I walked around for an hour hoping to find a meal! Update: I've found that they do have a black bean burger, but they only sell it at one restaurant - Miss Dixie's Depot... Which is closed now. Today I waited 45 minutes at Promo's Pizza to get a salad and they were out of salad.
Better than most six flags parks. Not sure about all of the negative reviews. Had a great time, park was fairly clean, most of the staff were friendly.
Had reservations at 4pm (due to Covid 19). Got in line for first ride and they closed all the rides due to weather. It looked like it might rain but didn't. Had a few sprinkles after 5 and few more after 6, wouldn't even call it a drizzle of rain. So we left. 6 flags is allowing us to come back tomorrow under the same reservations but 2 of us can't go due to having to work.
This is my second time visiting this year and of course my second time having a bad experience waiting for more than one hour just to be noticed that the ride broke down and that we had to leave the line. I have a season pass and feel like it wasn t worth it.
Great place for family fun. That is if you don't have a problem with walking a lot and long lines (one can easily spend 2 hours) just to get on a ride that'll last no more than 3 minutes. But hey, they DO have that "Flash Pass" thing, which allows you to "cut" some time! Oh, that's right! It's an extra $400!! And let's not get on the food prices. Other than that, really fun place!!
I hate that the whole park is uphill, but they cant really do anything about that. They had most food places closed. No one of the pizza places were open. Only 3 restaurants were open and it took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food. A lot of the rides were out of order as well.
Ripping you off with all their membership programs, waiting in line for anything. Rides, food or drinks, not enough personnel, not trained to do the job effectively.
We had a good time, masks are required but they don't do very well enforcing it. Even the people they have working that are suppose to enforce masks were seen multiple times wearing them below their noses. Overall we had a good experience.
Super fun but takes a long time to go on a ride we only had time to go on three roller coasters and two water rides and we were there from 11:00am- 8:00pm
Great place!! Ride operators made the rides so much fun singing songs and chanting stuff! Everybody was so nice and helpful. Prices was high, but it's a amusement park that's expected. We drove 4 hours and it was worth it! Some of the rides closed for a little bit bc of s thunderstorm, but they opened right back up when it passed. My little family loved it and we will be going back!! Thanks for a great day Six Flags staff!
It's nice there is a place like this for roller coasters. Food and beverage is over priced. Specifically I bought a seasonal unlimited refill beverage cup. I waited over thirty minutes in line to refill my cup.
A very fun park but parents treat it like a daycare and just dump their kids there all day since season passes are so cheap. Some of the rides are in desperate need of refurbishment like American Scream Machine, and some rides need to just be torn down! The tracks for Blue Hawk (aka The Ninja just painted blue) SHAKE as the train goes! You can literally feel and SEE the track shaking a concerning amount. Twisted Cyclone was an excellent edition to the park though, glad we've got an RMC now!
Very fun, I enjoyed it but only because of the Fast Passes. Other than that I would understand why people wouldn't want to go here that much. The lines for the rides are VERY long, especially for the rides such as The Goliath and the Superman Ride.
$70 tickets and a $10 summer charge to buy online. Ridiculous. And they do not cap the amount of people they let in the park. So some of the larger coasters have over 2 hour lines. You can spend all day at the park and only ride 5 or 6 tides all while spending about $150 per person. This is fun? Park is also consistently dirty. Typical poor choices for food. I really do not understand why anyone would return after their initial visit.
I went to six flags in early January with my gf and part of her family. We had just gotten there 30 minutes before I lost my phone. It was an iPhone XS, and I hadn t even had t for a year yet. I didn t realize I had lost it until I had gotten on like the 3rd or 4th ride. The first ride I got on was the twister and when I realized I had lost it, I was all the way at the pandemonium. First things first, I when to find my iphone and ofcourse it showed up at the first ride. When I got there I asked the people if they had seen my phone, they immediately shook their heads and that baffled me a little because It still showed up at the ride. I ended up going to lost and found a day later i found out it was stolen and ended up in SW Atlanta. To this day i know for a fact that the staff had my phone. I should of done something and pursue them further than I did.
We did not have to wait in a line to ride any of the rides. They are social distancing and enforcing mask use. This was the best experience of Six Flags I've had and I've been here numerous times. Make sure you reserve a time though.
Beautiful during the christmas time. All the trees were decorated, the lights were lit up well, and the lines were about 30 minutes each ride which was perfect.
The red velvet funnel cake isn't something that I would spend an extra 4 bucks on. The powder sugar funnel cake does the job.
Worst theme park ever. The staff is a bunch of cranky teenagers who don t want to be there.
The food is over priced. The restaurants are constantly running out of stuff. Just last week the Mexican restaurant across from the train station was out of grilled veggies, shredded lettuce, Guacamole, and sour cream. The ice cream shop next door was out of their most popular flavor. I want to say it was mint chocolate chip. They have three Coke freestyle stations throughout the park. All but one machine was down. The rest were broken. Not one location but one machine. These problems are consistent. Also if I was paying OoP for my food instead of the meal plan on my annual pass I would be upset. The quality is just not there. $10.95 to $12.95 for stale French fries and poorly cooked food? The salads are all iceberg lettuce. I ordered a Cobb salad and literally received two grape tomatoes in a cup. Not to mention that it was actually not a Cobb salad. No bacon and no avocado.
The general upkeep in the park is terrible. I feel like that might be the original asphalt because it is so cracked and worn. The rides are so pathetic looking. Monster Mansion just looks like it has seen better days. Every ride including the train and carousel have health warnings on them. No heart patients, nobody with back problems, etc. These rides are not dangerous. It s tough to decide what is safe to ride.
The water park at the back of six flags clears its wave pool out every hour. Staff can be heard threatening guests over the speaker if they don t get out fast enough. They claim it is for practice drills but I have never seen a water park so hourly practice drills. Just be honest they get too hot and need a break. I am just not sure why the park does not use a floater to relieve guards like other parks do. Have you tried dragging an angry toddler out of her favorite place in the world hourly?
The park itself is just poorly laid out over all. Too many steep hills for starters. A poor design can cause you to become lost and confused. Not enough places to sit in some areas.
Their annual pass and memberships options are a great deal but over all the park is not worth it. I might consider just joining the local pool next year.
Triniya is awesome !!! I meant to do a review a month ago & got insanely busy. She helped us majorly after we were waiting almost 2 hours ! She finally got us in the park & on with our day & now she s helping us again today with our upgrades ! This lady needs a promotion & a raise bc every time I ve seen her she s been working hard , been extremely courteous & the only reason we didn t cancel our membership!
I've been coming to Six Flags over Georgia for more than 15 years and this is the first time I have had an issue with the flash pass. The Batman and the Daredevil are 1 time only flash pass-able. After you ride it once each then you must stand in line. My wife and I paid $55 each for our flash pass and it is not written anywhere and no one cared to tell us. Needless to say I had a few words with them. So be warned for future reference.
It was ok.... They need to get more security because some of the teens are outrageous with fighting, and it takes too long for them to get to the spots.
Better then I thought. Family wanted to come back because of rain. It was awsome because they had a way so we could come back in for free. Experience was awsome coming back again. We had so much fun and food and drinks was reasonable. And there is a shuttle so you don't have to walk.
Six Flags Over Georgia was an amazing and worth while trip that is very family friendly and rides for all ages. I have a season pass and go very often. The food is amazing and worth it.
I keep hoping that it will get better each year but they always seem to disappoint me even more. The staff looks/acts miserable and gives minimal help when needed. Five of the main roller coasters were closed at our visit. It's crazy expensive and definitely not worth the money!
Great place and a whole lot of fun if you love the thrill of roller coasters not the best place to bring young children to because the lack of slow moving attractions
Fun place for family - lots to do even for little kids. Would have been great if all of the roller coasters were operating and the park hours were longer (COVID-19). Certain areas of the park need some refreshing done. Ticket prices for "fast pass" are a bit expensive. Overall the family had a lot of fun.
Really neat place only thing I have to say is the maintenance needs to be done after park hours and the seats need to be bigger other than that great place i will continue to go.
We had a blast here. As a reminder, if you get the meal deal tickets, get a meal card ahead of time. Also, flash passes, save up and get the platinum. It was a game changer. 0 wait on every ride on the last weekend of summer. We felt bad passing everyone else while they looked like refugees waiting for food rations in the sweltering heat...but it is what it is. Thanks Six Flags for the last hooray of summer!!
I love Six Flags! The rides are amazing! Sometimes there is a long wait but other times its really short. The food and drinks are expensive. It costs money to park close to the entrance but there is parking farther away that is free. At the free parking there are trolleys that take you to the entrance so you don't have to walk. The rides are really good and so is the expensive food. Overall this is a great place to take your family!
Have been here so many times. Its always fun. I wss introduced to the water park which was kool but they closed the main wave pool. The water slides were so much fun.
Good variety of rides. We went on a Saturday in early June and expected it to be crazy busy but it was not insane by any means. We bought a Flash Pass in anticipation of long lines and it was worth the money even if the lines were shorter than expected. A number of rides "broke down" while we were nearly on them but they were all returned to working order very quickly. Some places in the park were laid out a bit awkward with only one entrance but otherwise the park flowed rather well. Lots of extra places trying to get your money but they were never pushy. I would return again but at time with less heat and humidity.
Great place for family fun! We had a few rides "experience technical difficulties" while we were on them. But if you catch a Groupon for the season pass like we did, and don't live too far away, it is worth it.
Awesome time. Lots of different activities. The food though is expensive... They already make a Killin on admission please just let us get some cheap pizza!!!
They are doing the best they can at enforcing masks and social distancing. The mask free zones were welcome. They were on top of sanitizing rides between new riders.
Only complaint is the outrageous cost of food. 3 combo meals with soda at $56 and change.
This place is terrible. Its always too busy. The only good times to go is when your university is having their night there otherwise I dont ever see myself going back
Amazing rides! We went on a summer Sunday that was forecast for on and off rain. Had short lines from open until about 3. Overcast that day from open until about 1 may have been the cause. No rain ever showed and we had ridden every ride we truly wanted by 4 and the park didn't even close until 9. Packed in so much fun! Stay hydrated!!!
I took my kids to their first "frightfest" experience and it was wonderful. Every employee we encountered throughout the park was VERY friendly and helpful, even the ones who were new. Kids had a good time playing the little games and winning candy. Employees in member services and the ones working the games were amazing tonight!! The lines weren't terrible and they are enforcing masks. We had a great time and stayed till close.
Ordered tickets online only to find out those tickets were to a water park 20 minutes away. We drove 7 hours to give the children a back to school experience. The initial worker at the window was nonchalant and had an attitude. I asked to speak to a manager and she stated "he's going to tell you the same thing I said, you will have to purchase all tickets at the original price of $79." The supervisor came, I explained the situation, he was very professional, I reordered tickets for sale price online. I will be reimbursed for the other tickets and l my family enjoyed themselves.
*Not a paid review* Went to this park on August 3rd, 2019. This is important.
Where do I begin?
Price: For what they are charging for this park, you would think this is the Cadillac of theme parks. Fortunately for us, we had a family & friends coupon so I was trying to take that into account when deciding to trying to write this review but if I had to pay full price, I would've been livid.
Rides: This is half of the one star. In our time there, we were able to ride at least 4 rides and. I'm torn on this one because there are just some things that are beyond their control, e.g. ride malfunction that cause it to close, and I don't think that should be a negative reflection on the park itself. I would rather everything be safe instead of putting anyone in danger, however, go back to the day I went. It's peak summer time. The lines of the rides we were able to go on ranged from pretty good to just down right awful. Most of the rides didn't have fans on in the lines which made the already frustrating wait lines even more unbearable.
The Batman line went the fastest, however, even that could've been better. The fast pass line process needs to be tweaked. People were just jumping in front of us and we had no clue where they came from. No one from the six flags staff indicated to us there was anyone in front of us and I'm not asking for a long drawn out explanation but a simple heads up would've done wonders so that we didn't feel like people were cutting the line.
The park: Trying to get to the Superman ride was like a mouse in a maze. The layout was so confusing. We asked at least 3 staff members how to get there and if I'm being honest, they weren't any help. We got to the 4th staff person and he was very helpful and guided us to the ride. We get over there to the locker area to put our stuff in, only to be told the ride had just closed due to "technical difficulties". I must add that the ride was working at least an hour before we finally found our way over there and had JUST closed by the time we got there.
There were not nearly enough signs to direct people in the areas they may have wanted to visit. The in park maps that were located were drawn nicely but they still weren't as easy to decipher where to go.
Most of the food places were either closed or severely understaffed which made lines super long. Did I mention it was hot? No cooling stations, none of those mist fans, nothing. Oh, but you could buy an overly priced water or soda to quinch your thirst. I saw one Dipping Dots station open in the entire park. There were more face painting stations than dipping dots stations. NONE of the Icee machines were working either.
Two things that really surprised me were the six flags app and the in park WiFi. The app let us know the approximate wait times and the gps function was pretty good too. The reason why we didn't use the wifi to find the Superman ride was because there were initial issues with getting onto the network. This gets the other half of the star to complete the one star rating, however, how nice would it have been if there was a push notification system to let everyone know when a ride was closed or when one had been reopened.
I wish I could give this place negative stars. Staff was extremely unfriendly and rude. Everything was over priced. We had an issue while in the park that all staff refused to help with, and everyone gave a different answer. This place has zero customer service. Save your time and money. We wasted 4 hours of our day being sent to multiple locations by staff just to be treated horribly and get sent to someone else.
No fans or mist in the heat, smelled like old dirty mop water and sewer, very dirty, alot of rides and stands were closed. Not consistent with other 6flags. Very disappounted
Fun fun fun. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. Food prices not bad. You can save more money by purchasing dining pass. Many rides and lots of games to play. It also would not be a bad idea to get a flash pass if you can afford it.
They're decorated like a set for the walking dead. Everything had that "neglected for years" look. I hope they film whatever movie it is soon... So they can get back to cleaning the park or painting it once a decade.
Fun but be aware parents don t trust staff . I have 3 kid when I get on and try to SEAT BELT 1 and 2 kid in the back I ask the STAFF seat belts them if he can he say yes (Reason do not want Traffic) Before I step in the seat I look back my 2 kid and I don t feel right I go check the seat belts for them OMG HE DO NOT SEATBELT MY KID THANKS GOD GIVE ME THAT FEELING OR I WILL SEE MY KID ON THE GROUND
I went here today with my friend group, best time ever! Wish we had more time here, it was so much fun! We went on all sorts of rides! Our favorite would have to be the Goliath, 200 ft in the air! Though their food was a little unpleasant. But if you're coming here for your first time, I definitely recommend! Loved it, thanks Six Flags!
Great adventure for whole family. Have rides for all ages. Prices are a little steep so look for discount tickets online or at partner stores. Season passes are well worth it if you plan to go at least twice for the season. Even after 40+ years, the park is still well maintained. They are always updating rides to keep up with times. Be aware that if you get dining passes, lunch expires by 3:00 so be aware of times when in line for rides. Also some dining facilities such as the licket skillet in western town do not take credit cards, only debit or cash, so check before you wait in line.
The operations at this park are the worst so far of all Six Flags parks I've been to across the country. Also, none of the online membership features worked while at the park and every employee seemed lost and confused about everything whilst not trying at all to figure out or fix any of the issues. There were only two employees who were excellent and did right by all the issues at hand. If you go to this park please be prepared for lousy service and extremely slow operations.
