I think this park has a great mix of thrill level rides so everyone can find something they enjoy. It's also pretty clean considering them amount of people the visit the park per day. I plan on going back several more times during our stay in Texas.

Reservations ahead of time allowed for no wait time to enter the park. We visited on a Sunday so we expected a large crowd but every one for the most part respected the 6ft rule and allowed for personal space. I would recommend more misting/sprinkler stations on the way to the entrance/exit to the lazy river. Texas heat makes those concrete floors extremely hot and not everyone wears swim shoes or flip flops when moving from ride to ride. We learned the hard way to keep our shoes on. We spent most of our day in the kids area with the big tree house and pirate ship. We were disappointed that the big water bucket wasn't functioning and only 2 of the 4 slides were operating. This was our first and only visit of the season so I don't know if this was due to COVID19 adjustments. Tons of food options. It was a great day over all.
We had a great time.. though it was very hott.. but overall the fun rides and wave pool was so much fun. We always take annual membership and enjoy hurricane harbor n six flags..the best part is parking is free with that membership!!
Came here with my family while on vacation from Maryland in June 2016. We wanted a relaxation day after a few days of touring and thought since it was going to be so hot that we would do the water park instead of the amusement park. We are used to going to the water parks in Wildwood, NJ and were expecting that same type of experience.
This place is huge and has tons to do for everyone. I thought it was reasonably priced to get in. They clearly have a large number of season ticket holders who live in the area and come here as a summer activity. Parking was easy and checking in was easy. While the park claims that you can't bring in outside food or drink I did find out while walking in that unopened water bottles were allowed into the park.
We pre-rented a cabana since I knew it would be hot and we would want shade... plus because we weren't familiar with the facility I didn't want to have to get there an hour early to stand in line to be one of the first in the door (our hotel happened to be across the road so we would see people starting to line up rather early to get in so I'm glad I did this). They have 20 cabanas all in the center of the park near the wave pool. The cabanas were a decent size and personally I feel like we got one of the better cabana locations at #8. Our hostess Destiny as well as her associates were friendly, helpful, attentive, and great all around.
We took a tour of the waterpark to figure out what we wanted to do but I will say that we did none of the rides... in hindsight a total waste of money... but it was just sooooooo hot that standing in line or climbing stairs to stand in line to get on the rides wasn't happening... and frankly we're lazy and just like to lay out, hang out in a pool or lazy river, and relax.
The park is absolutely and completly huge and busy. There are tons of kids of all ages EVERYWHERE and while the lines to get onto the rides weren't horrible on a Tuesday afternoon everything was very crowded. The thing that I didn't love about the park is that there really was no regular pool area. Yes, there was the wave pool but overrun with kids, closed every 45 minutes for 15 minutes, and oh yeah... had waves occasionally which made me motion sick. It would have been nice to have an area 4 foot deep to be able to hang out that was even possibly partially covered. The lazy river was anything but lazy... probably one of the fasting moving lazy rivers I've ever been on and because the facility doesn't provide rafts (we did have "free" raft rentals with our cabana) mostly everyone in the river was running around, being loud, splashing, and playing. Very disappointing.
Also, while there are big map signs throughout various locations of the park having printed maps of the facility would be helpful to first time visitors. I'm sure I didn't see the entire park because it was so vast... it was so hot and busy... and with no map to guide me I couldn't really determine if there were any slides/rides that I wanted to do or convince my kids to do with us. I was told that they didn't have printed maps as they would end up in the water systems which I find so confusing as this never happens at the parks in NJ that I go too.
Lastly the food. As everyone has said it is highly overpriced and just basic. While you can pay for each item individually they highly recommend that you pre-pay for a food card and that probably is the easiest way to go. Also, the refillable drink mugs that they have... also a must... unless you were aware that you could bring in your own water bottles.
Oh... and head the warning... the floors are HOT. Seriously HOT. You must wear shoes everywhere you walk within the park or your feet will get burned... though every ride has a place to place your flip flops if you're not wearing water shoes.
Terrible day! All the concession stands had a problem with drinks. Waited in line for a 20 min to be told try another line with 100 people in it. Oh and the $600 you spent on the flash pass season pass only works accross the street. Have a thirsty, crowded, terrible day at 6 flags hurricane harbor!
I've been to this water park twice. I think it's nice and they do a good job keeping people safe. The first time I came, we couldn't find a locker. We had to park so far from the park that we weren't even in the parking lot for hurricane harbor, we got shuffled into the bank parking lot. So we couldn't take our stuff back easily. I suggest you don't bring anything into the park except your purple cup to get free drinks. There's nowhere to set your drink necessarily, but if you want a drink you'll have to just leave it and hope no one walks off with it. The second time we went was for the summer movie dive in. It was a big disappointment because it was so loud with everyone talking, we couldn't hear the movie. They don't have closed caption on, so you it was impossible to know what was going on. A dive in movie is a great concept, but it doesn't work. We ended up leaving and just coming home to watch the same movie.
Fun rides for all ages and levels of thrill. Bathrooms quick and accessible. Places to change clothes. Food and drink prices unreasonable since u can't bring outside food or drink. Great kid area. Plenty ppl places to be where there is no line. Lockers all jammed in 1 large section. They gave u option to refund or stand long line to get a new one. We opted for refund and buy phone cases instead since shoes etc. could be left without worry just about anyway. No one seemed to be worried about anyone else's stuff.
Lack luster experience. Did not feel as a priority to anyone there. Makes no sense to have a flash pass either. Literally smelled like we were at a farm as a area by the lazy river smelled of horse poop.I feel there isn't much structure along staff as they are too casual with things happening at the park. My 8 year daughter struggled to get out of her floater and started to panic a bit, although she had a lifevest on she was struggling and started to panic. The life guard stood several feet from her and watched as it seem like a episode of survivor. Im helpless as I'm futher up on the attraction and I'm yelling to my wife to jump in and grab her. I absolutely wish I could have my money back! Also I am a Diamond Elite member of the parks nevertheless. Guys small recommendation, go spend time at Disney Parks and bring a notepad!
Just about all of your employees are RUDE!!! They chose to have that job if they don t like it they need to get a new job! You should train your employees better!! For as much money as you have to spend on getting in the Park and everything inside it s like a rip off and then all the rude employees on top of that ! Terrible !!!
First time going was memorial day, it was packed but it went by smoothly buy I wish there was more signs guiding people where to enter. We stood in an unnecessary line for 30 mins and realized we didnt need to be in line. I expected the park to be bigger but after entering I could see why the tickets seemed cheaper than schlitterbahn. The park is relatively smaller than other water parks. I bought the one day free refill cup (green) and was happy at the value. It's worth buying it... we bought 2 and it was even cheaper. Table space and lockers were full but we left our belongings by the tables and were safe... one thing that was not safe were the water tube rentals. Alot of kids and adults would try to take the unattended tubes so dont leave them out by themselves. I didnt get to go on the rides due to the lines being too long because of the holiday so we stayed in the wave pool which was well over crowded. We avoided the crowd by staying in the deep end with our tubes. One line that was unavoidable was th concession stands but cut the kids some slack if it's slow. They work hard.
This place is designed for these hot Texas summers.Food prices are a little high but that's normal for most amusement parks.Lots of fun wet rides and the lazy river is wonderful.
I came here with my 3 kids and mother bought all of us one day passes it was a horrible experience when we got to the counter woman made us wait 30 before helping us when she finally helped us she had a attitude and and the look on her face was like what y'all want so we got in the life guards everyone was rude even when. We just asked where the bathroom was well we got hungry went to order some food they messed up on our food 3 times when we finally got our food 45 mins it was cold and thrown together and I heard one of the guys saying something like I spt in there food at this time I furious and skeptical remind you I spent close to 400$ it was the worst experience in a life time
Today was my first time to visit the park since it was wet-n-wild. I have two kiddos now and we had an absolute blast at the park! The staff was friendly and the park was mostly clean... that s actually the reason I didn t give the last star. I really dislike giving bad reviews but the restrooms (you would hope) should be clean at a family friendly park. The restrooms were beyond unclean it was disgusting! It wasn t like it was late in the day or anything and it was overwhelmed the park had been open less than an hour and it was the back restroom by Geronimo. Anyways enough with that! The rides were fun, well maintained and I like the new system of keeping most of the lines at the bottom of the stairs instead of everyone packed all the way up! For so many safety reasons that was such a great move on the park management! Highly recommend the park especially if you get there early because it fills up fast!
It's been nine years since my last visit. As a child, I came to Hurricane Harbor ALL THE TIME! In the summer of 2006 and 2007, I had a season pass. Great memories! I'd like to come back. Although, it would have to be on slow days so I can ride everything and relive those childhood memories!
Amazing Day!!!! 6 of us went for our sons 13th Birthday on July 3rd 2019 and were there from open till close. It was our first trip to the park. We had the best day ever! The employees were so nice and helpful anytime we had any questions. All of the rides were so fun and I faced my fear of heights on quite a few rides and had a blast! We will definitely be going back. My recommendation is to pay a bit extra for parking and park upfront and keep your cooler in your car and get your hand stamped to go out for your snacks and drinks. Food and drinks are way over priced. Next time I'm getting a cabana
Always have a great time at HH, my only complaint is that there isnt a normal pool they have the wave pool and that is it but thats still not enough to detract from 5 stars
We enjoyed our visit today. We arrived just before 10:30am. There was quite a line to get in. We finally found a park. Process to get in through bag check wasn't bad and moved pretty efficiently. We made our way to the lockers and put up our stuff. The kids enjoyed the kids area and wave pool area. We got the kids a cheeseburger. I love the kiosks which allowed us to get our food quickly. We also took our season cups & popcorn bucket & filled up throughout our visit. Bathrooms are fairly clean. The changing stalls were a good size that allowed me & my daughter to get changed before we left. Overall, good visit.
I loved hurricane harbor my sister loved the water slides for kids.... Also I had fun with my cousin at the slides...Please like my comment if you agree.. (dont forget to like)...
Fun water park, has a lot of fun different rides. The lines did not seem very long. There is a weight limit for some of the rides which some families had to sit out on, which made it awkward to watch. Pricing for the private cabanas are over priced for what you get. $170 for 2 loungers, 4 plastic chairs and a table is over priced. However fun park.
Had an amazing time with my girlfriend and our friends. The staff was excellent, and the sun was fun! I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the whole park too.
Worst water park experience I ve ever had. Disgusting conditions, they don t clean their pools, all the water is foggy and smells like urine. I waited 1 hour for food and there was only 3 people in front of me. I m never coming back to this location. And do yalls self a favor and don t come either.
My family has family passes. On our last visit, we got the chicken tender family meal deal and 2 chicken nuggets kids meals ( I have 4 kids). The kids meals were well worth the $10 each, but my boys didn't like the juice boxes. The time before, we got a pepperoni pizza and cheese bread. The sauce on the pizza tasted kinda weird to me and I didn't really care for the cheese bread either. Luckily, my family enjoyed it all.
Great time to be here at Summer vacation. I ll give it a five star just because my kids love coming here. Not the neatest place, great services, food overpriced.
It was nice and not very busy. I rented a cabana for my family and to be honest on very busy day it may be worth it just to guarantee you have a place for your belongings and away from the general public but on a slow day not so much. You basically just paying for personal space, no extra amenities come with it. As far as the water rides it's worth visiting.
Everything was perfect even during the pandemic!! I know Texas heat can get the best of us and some employees were showing signs of being tired and uncomfortable...but other than that everything was just fine and dandy!!! My kids can't wait to go back
