A classic! Classy place on the beach. Excellent restaurant 1 Pico.

Brought the family down for a week and put them up here! They all enjoyed every minute of their stay, told me the views couldn't be beat! Every time I dropped by, staff was incredibly kind, kids already told me they'll be staying here again!

Truly one of the most gorgeous hotel in Santa Monica. It is located right on the beach and definitely one of the the most convenient. This hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment in the area. The decorations are beautiful inside out. The staff are very professional and friendly. One of the best hotels in Santa Monica.

Its on the beach, one pico is the restaurant, always great food, great location and service.

Posh. This is the only place I ve ever stayed that had quality of materials equivalent to what I would buy for my own home. We were on the ground floor and there were two doors we could shut to block out the noise (even live music) from the lobby. The large bathtub was my favorite feature of the room.

We have had many good experiences at Shutters. However, today was our last. My wife is temporarily wheelchair bound and needed to use the chair lift to access the restaurant. The lift went up but the access door was locked! Security took its time to rescue her. When I mentioned this issue to the manager on our way out, recognizing that we both were French Americans she gave me an extra dose of the cold politesse and total lack of empathy that I remember so well from the old country. Needless to say, she made no offer to comp our (overpriced) breakfast today or in the future. The staff was surly as well.

Stop by here on every visit to LA. Perfect to watch the sunset from the terrace. Both restaurants deliver.

hotel was so cheap I cannot believe how amazing it is! After reading reviews we requested a room with a view and OMG it was stunning!

After a day at the beach this is the best place to sit and enjoy happy hour. Lovely, bar, lobby and veranda.

Went here for a work meeting in their conference room. The hotel and conference room are nice, and the catered breakfast and lunch were good. The downside is they charged us $27 PER PERSON to use their WiFi on top of an already expensive day rental of the conference room.

A classic example of a ritzy beach front hotel. Everything to the decor to the uniforms of the staff give off this very down to earth, but still has an elegant vibe that is sometimes lost among the beach culture of Santa Monica. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, particular to guests that are regulars.

Beautiful location, great if meeting clients for coffee or drinks, cozy fireplaces and couches.

Well - the hotel is very lovely, nice views of the Pacific ocean. Right on the beach & close to Santa Monica pier, etc...
I took my husband to Coast restaurant downstairs in hotel for dinner to celebrate his birthday (reviews were great)- I called restaurant in advance to let them know we were doing a birthday. When we arrived & I checked in with host he told me they were aware of the birthday. When at table we both ordered separate entree size salads that sounded tasty off the menu. Both orders came out wrong! Mine was taken care of & OK. My husband ordered the crab louie that comes with honey mustard dressing but he requested traditional Louie (thousand island) dressing. It arrived with wrong dressing all over salad, he notified server & he was told it would be corrected. Salad came out again & food runner told us the dressing is on the bottom of the salad & a small amount. He requested more & noticed salad had way less crab meat on it - about 2 teaspoons worth. Runner came with a small dollop of dressing then server shows up to see what's going on. She is filled in & brings more dressing then manager arrived & brings some crab - my husband says to me - you aren't going to believe this - "the crab is frozen". Now he's over his meal - not a good experience. They collect plates, deliver bill - we pay & leave. No mention of we're sorry your salad was not made correctly or our kitchen screwed up, etc... How about some dessert as our treat for (your birthday) the error or something else... Very poor handling of this. It sure didn't feel like a special birthday dinner!
FYI... We dine out often & my husband rarely returns any meal. Let's just say - we won't be coming back to Coast again & we live somewhat nearby.

Review for breakfast at hotel only. Friendly and accomodating staff. Well appointed space with birds flying around and good view of the sand and ocean. Food is on the expensive side but fine quality. Well located and convient with parking next door and valet as well.

Nice surroundings... Food was decent, but prostate for tourist prices.

The ambiance has such a welcoming feel, and the Fish & Chips, Hamburger & Fries, the Couscous & Salmon is amazing. My overall experience was a wonderful treat hanging out with family and friends.

Great hotel, well located. Take a room with an ocean view, you will not regret it. The sunsets are gorgeous.

This is a nice hotel. We were here for a wedding and everything was great. The prices are ridiculous though. We forgot a razor and asked for one at the front desk - the cost was ~$30 for a razor+shave cream. Luckily they had free ones down in the fitness/spa bathrooms.

Wall to wall luxury, with a great location and decent lobby service.

It almost goes without saying, but this is one of the most luxurious and beautiful hotels in all of Los Angeles. I try staying here every single time I visit, because it s truly a New England style getaway and for that it feels like home away from home for me. The rooms are fantastic, bright and airy the restaurants are amazing, and the views of the beach are unmatched. You have to stay here if you can!

We were visiting from San Diego and wanted to enjoy our breakfast with a nice view. We had our car valleted for free if validated at one of the hotel restaurants, which we ended up paying $10 with validation or it would be $20. Our breakfast waiter just walked at our table asking for ourorders Without greeting us. After thefood was on the the table, my pancake syrue came after 10 minutes. Our coffee was not refilled until we asked for it and no oe came to check on how everything was. We ended up talking to the manager and she took our 3 coffees off the bill. However, tje food quality wasn't bad at all.

Lovely shoreline location with excellent courteous service. Decent spot for happy hour and drinks.

This is how I imagine Ralph Lauren's home to be: and I dream of this interior style in my own home one day! Shutters is my favourite hotel to take tea with a friend on the veranda overlooking the ocean. It's simply a beautiful hotel. It has a bar, restaurant and many more superior, tastful services. To stay there overnight would be another dream....

Great desert and you can't beat the view and atmosphere.
