Lovely place about 10-15 mins walk from the santa Monica pier. Nice restaurant with supposed views of the beach. However, it was a foggy day when we were there. Parking available nearby

You have to freaking see this place at the beginning of dusk and let your imagination go from there!

Amazing stay really close to the ocean. Non-smoking hotel and district, that doesn t make much sense with a sewage straight to the ocean 100m away.
Very polluted ocean and beach. But once your back to your hot-tub in the room, you forget how sad the situation is.
Recommended but over-priced.

White decadence, located within walking distance on the pier. Also popular with Hollywood A-listers. I'd go with someone you love, otherwise all the romance is a waste. It's exquisite. The comfort and simplicity has it's own distinguished beauty.

My husband and I have a reservation to stay at Shutters in January and unfortunately due to medical reasons, we are unable to travel to California. Despite explaining this to the management at Shutters and providing a medical note, they have refused to let us cancel our stay and give a refund.

I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, as I cannot see any fairness in an organization charging an individual money in return for nothing, particularly when the circumstances of our cancellation are beyond our control. We were really looking forward to our stay at Shutters and it is extremely disappointing and upsetting that the hotel is choosing to enforce this cancellation policy instead of prioritizing common decency. They have permanently lost us as customers.

I went to the bar under the veranda. If you want to have a drink only go under the veranda, otherwise it is a little posh and you'll be surrounded by old people ;-) But the cocktails are good and their carrot cake is generous!

The service was good, the food was terrible..do not order Eggs Benedict...just terrible..the ham shavings were all fat and sour tasting, I ordered the hollandaise sauce on the side, it was to thick and way to sour, the english muffin was soggy...they need to refresh there menu...its not just out of towners who want to dine there, some Santa Monica residents like to indulge as well...but I will remove them from my list of enjoyable restaurants...

When I have chance to have a coffee but specially a lunch at the Shutters I make it. The ambiance is cozy chic and so special. Isn t huge but that s why I admire so much. Is charming and the ocean view is magnificent. Their menu options are truly delicious and service always welcoming. Try to get a table at the balcony.

Super, tasty, beautiful interior, pricey, but it's worth it

Had a relaxing evening at Coast, sampled many of the appetizers and entrees and desserts. Everything was delicious, wait staff was nice. Couldn't ask for a better experience! Will come back again.

Great location . Make sure to pay the extra cost for the sea view. Worth the money.

I used to come here all the time . My girlfriend was working here. She lives back to Europe and this is the first time since a while. Still loving it. Great food and stuff is so helpful and so friendly

There are hotels and then there exceptional homes from homes which Shutters is. Look no further in LA for a place to stay.

My mother is 70 years old I took down to the beach and Santa Monica and we walked along the surf I underestimated the length of the beach walk back up so we got out at Shutters on the Beach she sat on the bench in front of the hotel and I went to find her some water cuz she was sweating profusely I went into the bar kindly asked if I could buy a bottle of water and they said that it was going to be $15 for a bottle I then asked if I could just have a cup of water and they denied me because I was not a guest I'm sorry but for someone to treat another human being the way that bartender treated us on Saturday July 14th I just think it's completely wrong and I will do everything in my power to tell everyone I know never to stay at shutters

Location was very nice, right on the beach. I didn't stay there just went for brunch

Back story we landed late and had a resveration mistakenly made in a not so nice area and where in a pickle to find Anorther hotel in a friendly safe area. Called shutters at midnight and the staff were nothing but helpful in a highly stressful situation. We were able to move this shutters from our original booking and have no regrets.

Great service and amazing location/ view But the rest is eh! Way overpriced. Food is mediocre. 3 of 5 dishes were sent back because they were cold. Fishy taxes were added to the bill. Also to the parking fee... dont think we will return

Gorgeous resort right on Santa Monica beach. Everything here is pricey but top quality. Service is remarkable. Foods are choice, prepared with great care. Traffic In that area is quite busy at night but it's a fine place to celebrate a special event!!

We came here over the weekend while in Venice Beach to see some friends that where staying here and the service was on error the top and will be come to stay with the kids while in la. Great price for the area

It's beautiful great ocean views facing the beach. Easy beach access steps to the sea. Near the Santa Monica pier only about 2 short blocks away. Also near several great restaurants. Very romantic for a first date. Have fun walking on the beach feeling the sand between your toes.

Pricey, but worth it if you want to treat yourself a little. Located right on the beach!

This is my favorite spot in Santa Monica. Where else can you have an exquisite view of the beach and eat gourmet meals? There is a fully stocked bar too. Whenever we have guests from out of town, we bring them here.
