Had an amazing staycation here. The room was nice, staff was super friendly and helpful, and it was pet-friendly! The location is also great, right by the Santa Monica Pier.

Enjoyed dinner and drinks at a romantic ocean front table.

Its a beautiful hotel with a view of the ocean on one side and the other side a view of downtown Santa Monica. It is within walking distance to all the restaurants, shops and also to the beach and the famous Santa Monica Pier.

Had my birthday dinner here on July 3. Drove here from Studio City. What a fantastic experience. Started with oisters and heirloom tomato appetizer. I had the scallops fort my entree. Best scallops of my life. The baguette was pretty incredible also. Followed it up with a cappuccino. Highly recommend.

The location is a great place with and amazing view of the ocean. Any event held there would make it a prime location.

Was on a walk and needed a place to stop for dinner. During Santa Monica summer night music they have a great a special that includes 3 courses and $10 parking

Great spot for breakfast right on the beach with a beautiful view. Delicious food. If you dont like birds, eat inside. Outside they swoop in and watch for dropped food.

Prime Santa Monica Luxury--one of my favorite hotels here but do be prepared to spend for it.

Fancy hotel work every amenity known to exist right on the beach. I recommend them if you're willing to pay for it.

i expected much more for the price i payed. also, my Jacuzzi wasn't working and was very dirty, which the Jacuzzi was one of the main reasons i went to this hotel.

Was made to wear a cover up cause shoulders cant be shown. Yet a woman satbacross the room in the same amount of shoulder showing that i did and a child wearing a tank top was running about the restaurant.. I get the its fine Dining(was unaware) but its brunch on the beach. And if your going to try to he upscale please have a staff thatbis well trained and know how to correctly remove the meat from the lobster so when im eating my Lobster Benedict im not biting into hard connective pieces. Second sending out hashbrowns that were made first thing in the morning and sat under or in some sort of heating surface is not ok. There's crispy then there's stale dried out hashbrowns. Know when to theow something out and make fresh. I may have not looked fine dining to you but i still paid the same price as the lady wearing a sleavless shirt did. The only thing good about this place was the "Valet Staff"

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It has a lovely location and pleasing atmosphere.

The service was great and the room had no issues when i first arrived. Very fast and courteous staff that helped with the event i attended even when not asked they came by with more drinks/service, very proffesional overall.

If you're lucky enough to stay here, thank the higher power that be. It's nice af.

Always enjoy my stay at Shutters on the Beach. This trip was no different. Stopped in for a special occasion with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even though we live in Silver Lake, it's nice to get away to the ocean at shutters. We always rent a bungalow. Some state that it's in need of renovation. I'd have to say it's a welcome throwback to the late 90s when I first started going here. Dinner at one Pico is always Pleasant. Another fine weekend stay at Shutters on the Beach. Thanks to the management staff for making our weekend special. It will always be remembered.

This place has a stuffy elite old country club ambience to it.

Shutters hosted Kristi Bufton and Peter Manning's wedding November 4th, 2017. The event could not have been better! Location was picturesque with the sun setting behind the ceremony on the second level terrace. Bride & Groom looked spectacular, wedding party absolutely beautiful. Reception was intimate in the perfect room overlooking the boardwalk. Staff was exceptional from start to finish with exceptional food and service. Could not have been more perfectly executed. Kudos to the Staff and the Bride and Groom for making it the "Perfect Day".

Conveniently located on a dead end street making entrance and exit pretty easy, overlooking the beach

The hotel is at a perfect location with a very beautiful view on the beach of Santa Monica. A good view is very pricey doe.

The housekeeping and staff in general is very friendly but the rooms could be a bit cleaner.

The meat is very good the rest of the food is ok.

This was my 3rd time visiting for a weekend brunch. Shutters Toast cafe is just a consistently great place. On the last 2 visits we had the pleasure having James serve us. He was great. An attentive server who provides excellent service even when they are super busy.

I used to love this place but now, place became so unwelcome, Hostes are sooo rude!
We was sitting in restaurant having dinner and our kids was playing in lobby and hostess came to us and start yelling, talking so rude, so unprofessional !!!! How even they can t work in hotel if they hate children so much?
My husband coming there almost every day for meetings, and We spend 400$ on dinner today but obviously it s gonna be the last time.

The staff is wonderful!!! Room is very nice. Beautiful place. However, we spent extra for the better room. Nobody told us that we would never sleep. It is the noisiest place that I have ever stayed. Can t someone do something about the people screaming outside all night long? I will never come back because of this. Terrible, such a nice place.

Very pretentious staff. Asked for an extra 1/2 checkout time because I was hosting a lunch, I was denied. I did end up spending $800 for lunch, don't think I will say there again.

Definitely a pretty classy place, very fancy in a lot of regards. But don't feel like you can't stop by and have a drink if you're in your casual clothes. If you're lucky enough to get a spot on the back patio, you have an amazing view of the beach. They have some cool cocktails and overall its worth a stop and hang one afternoon.

Excellent Hotel! I do not regret having spent a few nights there I highly recommend this place to everyone because the staff are at the top they were able to answer all my requests as well as to solve all the daily worries it is excellently placed nearby of all. The rooms are really clean and the view is not bad. Whether for one night or several weeks, it is a place to really adapt.

Their bathrobes are too rough. It s like they re normal bathrobes but they re covered in sandpaper. Also, the conditioner that they give you in the shower is cilantro scented. What the hell is that about?!

Food was good, service was great, but pricey for what it is. Should have outdoor dining!

Probably my favorite place to stay when in LA. Cosy classic ambience, great staff and one of the few place with an amazing view on the ocean.

My friend booked the reception for her daughter's baptism here. I've got to say - it's pretty amazing. Staff is thoughtful and attentive. Food was spot on and interesting.
I've no idea what it cost but, on an absolute basis, it was an amazing event.

Quiet oasis vibe tucked away in Santa Monica. Go for the peaceful night time beach view and a peak of the glowing boardwalk in the distance while having a drink. Jazz music in the lounge-lobby area and has an older crowd. Palm Beach vibes?
