This place was great. They were some of the friendliest people ever and soooo kid friendly. Gina at the front desk helped upgrade us and checked in on us to make sure it was all ok. She treated our daughter like a princess. She definitely made our vacation. Plus the room was huge and they were able to check us in early. So it was amazing.

1. Found that there are hair in the sheets and long red hair. We asked for a room change and were transferred to a king size room.
2. King size room still has hair in the sheets and even short curls. We thought that maybe every room was like this, so I asked for a new bed sheet. I didn't need to change the room. After about 15 minutes, the service staff said that no new sheets could be provided to us. Please change the room.
3. We were upgraded to a new room. Before we came in, the service staff checked the sheets and presented two bottles of water, wifi, and breakfast.
My husband works in the hospital. He knows the difference between the changed bed sheet quilt and the bed sheet that has not been changed. He hopes that the hotel can do a good job of cleaning.

Not worthy of a 4 star. Hotel to avoid despite a great location. Old and dirty room. No service. Room without light. Hotel noisy on the street side and no soundproofing between the rooms. Breakfast without taste or flavors. Very very big disappointment.

I am at this hotel right now, our room was 97 degrees when we checked in, 95 degrees at 6am. Call front desk and he offers to send the engineer but I did not want to have to wake everyone up so then he says to me then what do you want me to do? Very rudely. So here s what you can do buddy...

Just wanted to give a positive review for the hotel being so helpful given our circumstances, we booked last year on a non refundable booking for 10 days. Our flight has since been cancelled. We got in touch with the hotel to let them know the details and received a full refund a few days later. We're planning on rebooking for September 21 and we'll definitely be looking to book here again. Thank you.

Second visit to Shoreham and it was awesome once again. Friendly, courteous staff. Rooms were clean, modern, very comfortable. There is a "continuous on" button on the fan so that you can drown out the city noise for sleep. The water pressure in the showers is amazing. Still my first choice for where to stay when in NYC!

My experience at this hotel was wonderful. The staff was great and gave great tips of places to eat in the area, and gave tips of things to do during my stay. With this hotel it's all about location location location! I couldn't have asked for a better location for a hotel. It was so close to all the shops I wanted to go to on my vacation. It was super clean. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Very well placed. Our room (611), no fridge. the window overlooks large very noisy ventilation. We were in a group. At the reception on our arrival a charming person spoke French. No review of the 5 day stay. Very clean. Not seen the pool. At our departure no room available. No way to drink.

I will never recommend this hotel to anyone in the near future. The people that work at this establishment are complete clueless and out of touch with customer service. Somebody need to explain to the public how is it that the doormen/valet/ Bellboy will not help a hotel guest flag down a yellow cab to go the airport? what type of hospitality is that?

Our room had a portable air conditioner with a tube on the window ... In the morning you could hear all the smells of fried food in restaurants. Obviously it was not possible to sleep with the one turned on unless you had to hear a tractor at your side (luck was not hot).
From a hotel so I expected better.
For the rest, good and well connected position. Very close to Central Park.
I recommend the Indian restaurant in the parallel street.

The localization is absolutely perfect. The room was clean and the bathroom was really small. I wasted a couple of minutes trying to figure out how to get hot water from the shower. The heating was a bit noisy and the room service seemed a bit unexperienced. I didn't have the chance of trying the breakfast.

First the location is great. The one bedroom suite was amazing. So much space in a hotel room in Manhatten. The bathroom light shines on the bed, so not ideal. The mattress was comfortable. Housekeeping was very good. The shower is confusing, if you turn the handles on the side to the right, the upper nozzle sprays you. The breakfast was standard - make your own waffles, some fresh fruit, yogurt cereal, toast, bagels (go early or the bagels get over) and boiled egg. The girls at the breakfast bar are curt and rude, they cleared away a fellow traveller's plate when he wasn't done eating and were not apologetic about it. The server Richard is nice. The elevator is small, can cramp in 4 people. Overall this hotel delivered well. The location is exceptional, the rooms kept well. Definitely a repeat visit.

Worse experience ever!! We came from Texas for 3 days. All 3 A/c didn't work we literally were freezing the first night out of 3. The bar did not look like the pictures. Nothing from the website looked like the hotel. For what we paid it was not worth it. Everything is falling apart. The only nice thing about it was the reception area. No mini bar..not enough towels... floors and chairs have stains. No trash cans. You literally have to call them and ask if they even have anything for the rooms. I wouldn't even give it one star. I would rate it a 0.

The location is great! That being said, the place is old and a dump. Tiny rooms with no space for luggage. Not very clean. Staff was unfriendly. I would not go back! Also, you could hear the bar from your room.

We stayed for a week at the end of August 6 years ago, good location, the room overlooked W 55 itself, opposite a very rich French restaurant. The attention was good, the room was small but with a large bed, it had carpet, and the bathroom was clean. In the hall they have a section where you can make a free tea or coffee.

Staff was great and helpful with everything. The room itself was cozy aka small but it was still really nice and clean, Couldn t beat the price for the location it s in too. will definitely stay again when I m back in town.

Great location, unusual procedures at check in that I had never previously happened (do not accept the master circuit to pay and do not have the chips to your credit card, only .but the magnetic stripe).
Spacious rooms for NYC but there is no mini-bar nor a place to get coffee. If you are less than three days Internet in the room is charged.

To be a hotel in a capital with great Spanish tourism, they can not speak Spanish. Only a Cuban cleaning lady could help us, because at the reception desk, a black rim already told us in a bad way that nouuu speak spanish with a face of disgust. They ask for your VISA upon entering and they keep a deposit, until the month after leaving the hotel they do not return it. The air conditioning in the room is, or you freeze or you grab, there is no middle ground. It does not include breakfast, and if you want it, it's $ 10 and it's bad and tasteless. On TV, not one channel in Spanish, and all the others are fatal, like 40 years ago in Spain. The windows can not be opened and all the noise from outside is heard. The hotel is worth it for its location, very close to Central Park and in the heart of Manhattan.

Excellent location and service. Victor helped us at the front desk with champagne and a quick check-in! The bar was very nice for drinks each night, and the service was incredible. The room was very clean and the bathroom was a decent size for a NYC hotel.

I went to the one at 33 W55th street in NYC. This location is perfect for catching up on the city life. I enjoyed my stay very much and the staff was top notch. I would def recommend anyone to stay here.

Fantastic location in uptown Manhattan making anything you want to do or see very accessible. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and comfortable. Massage chair was a nice touch after a long day of walking and the breakfast is highly recommended. Will be back!

Bads

Bads
-Kinda bad experience. Pictures are nice, outside look good. But room are actually old and dark. First day check in, air condition is broken and they gave me portable one, tell me nothing they can do about it, Will only change for another room next day.

-Mattress is way too soft. My back and neck is still painful.

-On the web says: free wifi, but only for lobby area. Still need to pay if u need wifi in ur room.

Goods
-Location is good close to 5th ave. but there are so many better ones around the same area.

Conclusion:
Will not book this hotel again.
DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THE PICTURES, they are fake!!!!

I was staying at this hotel and the photos that were offered from the agency are very good ... but it is not seen in reality.

The hotel is clean and seemingly modern at the reception but the rooms are small and dated. The bathroom is almost as big as the bed.

The air conditioning and heating are controlled from a panel with 2 manual levers (very old and noisy) although they work well. The sink looks like a prison, small and metallic.

The room faced a very noisy and dark interior courtyard that could be seen through a small window on the side of the room (it was not even centered). He fooled the huge curtain that hid it.

It has 2 central elevators. One of them seems normal (up and down) but on the fourth floor it jerks, as if collapsing. The other one, it takes like 2 minutes to close the door when it is on the ground floor and it whistles (it sounds the 'ding!') On all floors even if it does not stop. The good thing is that it is big (I imagine that because of how slow it is, people accumulate to use it).

The name of the hotel is only visible from 6 to 5 avenue. If you come from 5 it is not seen until you are just below the entrance.

The WiFi is paid, and quite expensive although there are 2 computers on the ground floor for free use.

As a positive aspect I could say that it is well located. Between 5 and 6 avenue, 2 blocks from central park and another 2 blocks from the subway that goes downtown.

I like this place because it's a great location, always available. I have only stated in the suites so I don't know how the other rooms are. It is a bit dated but everyone is really friendly and helpful.

I value this hotel solely for the very central location in Manhattan
It is rest without comments, 4 star hotel with 3 star quality: we took a very spacious suite with a very comfortable bed but needs renovation, no fridge, no free wifi ... and a tiny bathroom where almost no carpet fit of towel (without exaggerating).
Despite everything as you practically are all day kicking NY, I would recommend this hotel as I said for its location.
In the vicinity there are several chains of bakeries with tasting so the option only Lodging is good.
Friendly staff and some speak Spanish.

I recommend this hotel which was perfect!
Very good reception
Breakfast corresponding to our expectations
Spacious and comfortable room
And most importantly: the perfect hotel location, between Central Park and Times Square!
Don't hesitate for a second.

I only stayed 1 night but really enjoyed it. The front desk staff was really nice. The room was unexpectedly large. I was expecting a small closet like most of NYC. The shower was amazing with 5 shower heads. I didn't get a chance to explore the area very much but it's pretty close to central park.

Location about perfect. Hotel ok. No free Wifi in room ( I think it was 12$ /day )
But we found away go around this... connect to free Wifi at Lobby and go to your room... this way it givis you access even that they say that u should buy connection (not needed, works with tablets and cells)

Very good location, but very small room, with modern but uncomfortable design arrangements.
It does not have a coffee maker, therefore when you arrive on cold days or you feel like having something hot, you have to go outside, worse if it also rains.
It does not have a minibar, like the coffee maker, you come and go.
It does not have free Internet in the room, you have to go down to a room of 4 by 6 meters where all the passengers who want to connect are, in these times where there is free WiFi in any place, in the subway and on the street (except in your room), which budget has a value according to the area.
Lastly, the staff is unfriendly and seems like they're doing you a favor.
It's my 10th trip to New York and I've always stopped in the area. By. (no) amenities the room would have to cost 40%.

The room was clean and it was overall a nice and affordable place. There is a 100 per night holding fee that they charged me 600 for instead of 200 for the two nights I was staying and assumed that was alright... The actual room was smaller than depicted online but clean enough.

Would never pay full charge for the room, was fortunate to have bought it on an on-line bidding site for about 65% of the $250/day they wanted. Hotel staff eager but one of them was rude and unapologetic when the keys to both of our rooms failed on two separate days(!), said "Why should I apologize when it's not my fault" (!) Hotel safety bad, as front door is always unlocked to any street traffic and thugs could easily enter, no guard. REASONS FOR POOR REVIEW:
1. Huge fees for room internet use daily; must go down to lobby all the time.
2. Huge cost of parking and no hotel parking. We were forced to pay $45 a day!
3. Hotel has many infrastructure problems, like plumbing and air conditioning. ONE ROOM TOILET PROBLEMS TWO DAYS IN A ROW. In our room the handle came off the shower faucet. Owner must be pocketing too much of the profits, must be too greedy.
Room Tip: Ask for upper rooms, as there is a constant din of traffic below. Also, don't expect any view...

The lobby area was nicely furnished. There was complimentary cookies, I think I was the only person to have ever eaten them. It was nice but felt antiseptic... Maybe modern minimalist to an extreme. The bar was nice and empty on a Thursday night.

Hotel staff was helpful and responsive. Room was large by NYC standards and I felt it was good value for the money. The hotel is showing a little wear. I've stayed here in the past and I would stay here again. The carpeting in the room can be refreshed.
