Great "little" find! Clearly a popular restaurant based on the wait and it was worth it. Their Huevos Rancheros, Dooley and buttermilk pancakes were excellent. Thank you for a very good breakfast! As this was our last day in the area after visiting Shenandoah NP it was a great way to end our stay.

Love this place for breakfast, local ingredients and lots of gluten-free and vegan options if you're into those. They are usually packed because they have great breakfast! So give this place a try.

The huevos rancheros were so good! I'm usually a little skeptical of places with a more alternative menu and a possible hipster/alienating vibe, but this place was very inviting and clean around the edges. We had a great breakfast there, I wish I could've tried their lunch too, but they only offer the lunch menu on weekdays.

Greeted with a smile. We had a 25 minute wait but it was worth it. Waiter came over seconds after we were seated. The food came out after a few minutes of ordering. It was very good. The restrooms are very small and tight. If you use a cane or walker it could be dangerous. It has quite a few vegan style meals as well as meals with meat.

The LGC prides itself on only using local produce to give you the freshest meal you can have. Believe them, you'll taste the Valley in every bite. I've had burritos in San Diego, Los Angeles & all over the nation, but their breakfast burrito is hands down the best one I've ever had and their salsa is something I want to swim in (it's that good.) The staff is among the friendliest of any in H'Burg and bring your family and friends for a meal here is a must. Easily 5 stars and a great meal to be had!

Nice folks, humble building, good eats.

I like a place that takes pride in the dishes they make, and this is one of those places.

Good options, good flavor, and friendly faces.

This is a great allergy friendly restaurant for breakfast. I would have given it 5 stars if the service and standards were a little higher. They charge per ounce for real maple syrup and it is difficult to know how much you need. They should just raise the price of the meal and charge a flat rate. Also I ordered vegan pancakes and they didn't come with vegan butter. I asked later bit was halfway done and they were quite bitter and dry. The server said they offer it but only if you ask because it is more expensive. This is crazy to me- I am not eating out on a budget as most people don't. We eat out to splurge and have great tasting food served and cleaned up for us. The cost is not an issue so they need to know their audience better and offer these things up front.

Went with my vegan friend and loved loved loved the place! We had the vegan biscuits and gravy and the pumpkin spice pancakes. Great coffee and multiple alternatives for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free. Quirky little place and lovely friendly staff. So sad we live hr and a half away.

DELICIOUS! Cutest little place in town! Love all the vegan and vegetarian options they have on their menu. Even the veggie portions are enough to leave you full for hours. The food is fantastic and the service is good! Definitely recommend for brunch in Harrisonburg!

Delicious! I had the Tempeh Ruben sandwich, my partner had the Chicken burrito. Being a vegetarian the choices were many, all made from scratch and very tasty. For a non-veggie person the chicken choices were just as great

I got the Huevos Rancheros, and my boyfriend got the cinnamon french toast with bananans and cream cheese. I highly recommend both, along with the blue monkey! It does take a while, and it's busy a lot, but it's great food and a great atmosphere.

Tasty.

The Little Grill Collective was a huge disappointm...

The Little Grill Collective was a huge disappointment. There are two reasons it was such a disappointment. First, we went here after our vacation and before we headed home as a goodbye meal with our family. Sadly this restaurant is not kid friendly. My young son was having a lovely meal and as many of us do, needed to go to the bathroom. Well, there are no changing facilities. That's fine, we've all been there right? So as I get my stuff out to change my son, a hostess comes over and tells me that I can't. When I asked what she would suggest, she told me to change him in the car. It's winter, and on top of that, they do not have a parking lot so we were parked down the street. If you want to take your kid with you instead of leave them in the car like the animal she then said was also not welcome (as if my kid is comparable to an animal), don't come here.
Second, they say it's a vegetarian restaurant with vegan options and also meat. I always get super excited when cooks know their way around traditional foods that can be vegan because I am very lactose intolerant. In this case, I expected to be able to eat pretty much everything as that is supposed to be the specialty here. Sadly, that was not the case. I could have buckwheat pancakes, not French toast (which I have easily ordered at a diner) or any other kinds of pancakes. I ended up ordering the huevos rancheros. It was very good, but being dairy free, I rarely get to eat breakfast foods out and was really looking forward to some normal pancakes or rocking French toast.

They have a good mission (co-op) and the food I had was good. I cannot see returning with my son though, and the reaction of the lady seriously soured me on the place. My family was all dragged there by me, and we all left feeling unwanted and inconvenient. That's how I feel every meal because of the lactose intolerance. This restaurant was my chance to feel good about it for a change. So disappointed.

A cute little hole in the wall place with fresh local ingredients. The seasonal pancake flavor, lemon poppy seed, looked very tempting but I went with the Greek omelet with home fries. It was excellent! My husband had the Western omelet which he also enjoyed.

Nice little place for breakfast. Food was good and the service was excellent. Really appreciated the environmentally friendly choices they have made with all reusable or recyclable items.

If you are an indecisive vegetarian, avoid this restaurant! There are just too many choices of delicious, interesting things to eat. (Or, better still, bring a decisive friend to pick for you.). The good news is, you can't go wrong. Heck, you can close your eyes and point. You won't be disappointed (unless you land on the one or two meaty meals on the menu).

Great place to eat! 48.9% is locally grown and the service is warm and welcoming. Kathryn served us with a smile and was attentive to us even though it was super busy! Busy because it's the best breakfast/brunch place in town.

As usual with the LGC, excellent service but some extra fun tonight with a game night. Met new people and hung out with friends. Thanks for the great idea. And this blueberry ginger hand pies were amazing.

Excellent Meal...a little off the beaten path and expect to wait so bring a newspaper or engage your dining companion in good converation. Started with the hot apple cider, had banana/blueberry hot cakes with a delicious salty piece of ham. They never let your cup hit empty and smiles all around. Great Spot!!

Went down to hear some live music. Suppose to be having"Carrot Cake" Pancakes as a Highlight. The music was so so & there was too many ppl there tonite for everyone to be able to sit down. We stayed for the 1st set which was only 3 songs, didn't eat cause we wernt @ a table & as we were pulling out the 2 guys that played was carrying their guitars across the street to their cars. I'm sure it's a really good place to go to sit & have a meal cause the pics I saw on their website looked REALLY good.

Owned by the employees, and you can tell it. They all care about their restaurant. The food is wonderful, and quite reasonably priced. The server/owners are great. I can't say enough good things about the Little Grill Collective.

A beautifully positive atmosphere with delicious food. The coffee was hot, food was good and service was attentive and wonderful - what more could you ask for.

The hardworking atmosphere was definitely inspiring.

Will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this place.

I live in Ohio, but whenever I visit my sister Julie we MUST eat at The Little Grill at least once. I love their food -- and they offer vegan options! The pancakes are delicious, and I love the vegan chocolate chip cookies they sell by the register. The decor is fun to look at, and the staff is always friendly. I highly recommend!

Been here several times and have never been blown away. The service is not very warm and the food is just good enough... It's basically food that one could easily make at home with little to no experience cooking. I got the impression this place is very vegetarian friendly though and the ingredients were fresh.

The Little Grill Collective is a unique and wonderful place to eat great, fresh, healthy, delicious food! It is the epitome of a small town Eatery that you will not find anywhere else, and you will feel like it's your lucky day when you go there.

Love it here! Great place for all breakfast lovers! The vegan stuff is delicious and they have regular breakfast meats, too. The tofu scramble is actually delicious, which doesn't always happen with tofu scramble made outside of the house. The groovy gravy is something I would drink with a slushie straw if I had the ability to remember to bring a slushie straw with me. Great atmosphere as well. They only serve breakfast, but dang it's good.

What a great experience! Service was amazing, super friendly. There's free wi-fi. Lots of options for vegans and vegetarians. Heaven! And, best of all, it's owned by the workers! Harrisonburg's hole in the wall that everybody should try!! :-) P.S. Try the freshly-made ginger lemonade!

I had modest expectations and was blown away. My partner and I couldn't talk about anything other than how good the food was the entire meal, and at a price comparable to cheap fast casual options. Staff was excellent, atmosphere was lovely, information about their suppliers was abundantly placed around the restaurant, vegetarian and gluten free options were the majority of the menu. Couldn't recommend highly enough, except that it can be difficult to get a table and the space is definitely about as small as it could be.

Car broken down while traveling past by Virginia. Took an opportunity to explore the area. Has a local kambucha there. It was so good. Would definitely go eat there if given another chance.

I walked in wearing boots, jeans, tee shirt and a ball caps and I got stared at like I just committed a hate crime. The table had what looked like 30 years of grime built up in the corner and the floors were slimy slick to where I thought I was going to fall twice. I couldn't pronounce anything on the menu, the service was horrible, I could visibly see my order was done for almost 5 minutes before the waitress finished her conversation with a more progressive looking customer got up and dropped it in front of me. Just a very weird, off the wall liberal type hangout. Some fancy it quirky, I recon it dirty and head shop weird. Atmosphere aside, really got the feeling the health department could be wrapping police tape around it any day.
