One of the worst car buying experiences I have eve...

One of the worst car buying experiences I have every had. Took my 20 yr old to purchase his first vehicle. Called to confirm car availability and they emailed a confirmation with vehicle VIN and Stock number. Drove 45 minutes to dealer and vehicle was not on the lot and no explanation as to where it went.

They were happy to show me a car that was exactly like the one we came to see (different VIN) and ~$2000 more. Email said to ask for Erin, ERin didn't even know he had an appointment. Did test ride, then talked money. They added ~$1600 in dealer fees, $2400 PRO package (floor mats and scotchguard on seats), and then charged $2400 to have the car "certified used". When we asked why it wasn't internet price plus tax, title, and license the salesman Erin was condescending and basically said all dealers add those fees now (I have purchased three vehicles in three years and never paid anything more than $300 in processing fees). We were told that any place we went to would charge the same fees.

Well we went to another dealer in Matteson, IL and the internet price is what we paid, plus ~200 fees and tax, title, and license fee.

The worst part is that this was my son's first experience/first dealership to look for his dream first car. The Zeigler Brand lost a customer for life as well as he has already shared his bad experience with about 20-30 friends on his collegiate team via social media.

Lady called us before coming in and said that the car (dodge durango rt) we wanted to check is in their inventory and she'll have it ready for us in the front when we get there. After driving an hour came to find out that the car was not available anymore. Then a manager came out and talked to us and apologized. We asked him for a quote for another dodge durango rt. After over 30 minutes... nobody came out to us and we just left the place. Then after they realized we were gone, sales person called us and asked if we wanted the quotes emailed to us, after we said no he just hanged up very quickly and didn't say a word.

If you're in this kind of business customer service should be the number 1 priority. We were ready to purchase the car and would've made a deal that day but instead it was a completly waste of our time.

I went in not even thinking I was going to buy a car but they had exactly what I wanted so I had to buy my favorite car, a Fiat 500 Abarth.

Lawrence was great! I went in with a small time frame since I wasn't expecting to buy a car but Lawrence knew I wanted the car and made it happen. The whole paper work process was smooth and easy and I made it out on time.

It's been a month since I bought the car. Still love it and Lawrence still checks in to make sure everything is good. Gotta love the personal service, especially hard to come by in the car business.

Now I just need to take advantage of the free car washes!

Horrible experience with salesman there yesterday (last night)and I hate pointing fingers but Abe or Abraham however he s known by, really wasted my time. 2 hrs to be exact to then give a worse offer then when my wife and I went 2-3 wks ago. Us, faithfully to Ziegler, as I told Christina, who also works there, we really out car from this dealership. The thing is I felt that they re was just holding me there while the same sales guy Abe, sold another car...which to be honest, I think it was the same one we were waiting on . Because at the end no offer sheet was presented or nothing just a you need to put $4K down or nothing he could do . The same salesman that when I went the first time..joking around or not..told if I didn t like the deals, there were two doors to walk out through. Very professional! So from my experience

The best experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle . I had the honor of having salesman Miguel Pagan assist me in my purchase ,there was no pressure what so ever in making a purchase . He was also very resourceful with various options , he also introduced me to everyone in the showroom never had that kind of experience before. Completely dishonest dealership and will never do business with them. We buy five to six new trucks a year for the company. I wanted two trucks and selected from their inventory. Internet sales person had several discussion with me and send me internet price. I told them where the trucks going to register and locations. They want me to come to showroom instead of negotiating the price on phone. I was not comfortable due to Covid but still went to see them. Totally new guy who had no idea and then when they go to know the situation their pricing went up by $2500 to $3000 for each truck from what they originally quoted in writing. Please avoid if you want a transparency.

My experience dealing with Marc Keenan was Phenomenal. At no time did I feel under pressure. I came into the dealership with an exactly what I wanted in a car and about what I was willing to spend. Marc was able to find the perfect Pacifica for us but out of our target price. Marc was willing to work with us and was able to make this deal work. Today I will be driving home in my new Pacifica. Everyone knows that buying a new car can be one of the most nerve wracking experiences in life. Well was I in for a surprise at Zeigler Jeep!!! From the moment I walked in the front door I felt as ease and welcomed. Margaret was my salesperson and she was awesome!!! She is very knowledgeable and professional. This dealerships customer service is the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with in my life. I called the dealership and spoke to sales consultant Sierra. I inquired about a vehicle, told her I was passing through town to my home in KC, but I had funds on me to purchase a car I was interested in. I made it very clear that I would not be interested if the car had any scrapes or dents, etc on the exterior. She assured me it didn t, however I asked her to please double check and walk out there to look while I was holding and she again assured me the exterior was perfect . She also told me it would be ready when we got there and pulled up front. We got to the dealership and Sierra was nowhere to be found, the car was not pulled up and we were left waiting over 20 minutes to even see the car. While I waited I was subsequently hit by a car in the parking lot and I m surprised it I wasn t run over. We end up with George as a salesperson, we never even saw Sierra. George was wonderful, he was professional and courteous, I would have loved to have purchased a car from him. Anyway, the car finally gets pulled up and the drivers side front panel has two dents and a big white scrape. Unbelievable. Obviously we left and thanked George. As I thought about it, I felt management should be informed of what I experienced. I called 5 times, 4 calls were answered and hung up, shocker. I finally got the sales manager on the phone and told him about the issue. He went to look at the vehicle and said he felt those were fresh marks and what do I want him to do?? Unless in the 15 mins it took us to drive there and George wrecked it while pulling it up for us, it wasn t fresh. What I would like you to do sir is apologize for the inconvenience, unprofessionalism, that you will speak with Sierra. Pretty easy sir. What do you want me to do is not the answer to anyone who has been treated in this manner. Horrible service.

I am not sure how this dealership is in person, however if you want to work with them online I would pass. While searching for vehicles on CarGurus one at this dealership came up and caught our attention. I requested more information through CarGurus and received an email from the dealership. I responded with the questions I had. I received an email back from Bri only answering one of my questions and asking for my cellphone number to text. I provided my number and she texted her contact information. I explained to her that we were located more than 2 hours away and wanted to start the process online to make sure we were close on price before driving there. I provided my trade in details but was told that I could just go to a website to figure out my trade and that they did not have any time to deal with people online and they were only working with people in person. I tried the chat feature on their website and that person was equally dismissive and telling me things that were not true like they can't do a credit application unless the person is physically there. If this is how they act before the sale i can only imagine how it would be after.

This dealer advertises large rebates/discounts on their cars, but will not disclose what they are for or if you might "qualify" for them. After asking for more information about them over the phone, I spoke with someone named "Mike" who claimed he was a manager, but insisted on calling me back to answer any questions about their rebates.

I never heard back, so I drove to the dealership, where they brought out another "manager" (apparently there's many of them), that insisted we sit down with another sales person to discuss the rebates on one specific car. We waited for almost a half hour while that sales person ran back and forth to the manager's desk, while trying to get more and more personal information from us to put in his system. He also kept asking, "so what do you want to pay for a car?"... We never learned anything about the rebates, and eventually just walked out. They simply do not want to disclose or honor the rebates they advertise on their websites and advertisements.

I would highly recommend not dealing with this dealership. Their sales approach is very unscrupulous and high-pressure oriented. As soon as you walk in the front door, there's nearly a dozen sales agents lurking around the entrance ready to pounce on you. There's also very loud high-energy music pounding away on the speaker system - so loud you can't talk without shouting.

There are number of other dealerships in the area that are much more forthright and easy to deal with. Save yourself a frustrating experience and go to one of them, not here.

I have had nothing but bad experiences every time I have brought my Dodge Journey (which I purchased here) in for service.
This time, my Dodge Journey broke down in a storm, on the expressway in Madison Wisconsin.
I had it towed to a dodge dealer on Saturday night. Monday morning at 9 am the service manager was already calling me. He needed info from Ziegler Chrysler, reguarding my last warranty work done on my car.
I spent all day, stranded up there, calling them, trying to talk to one of the two service managers on duty.
Every time i called I was switched to voicemail, or told they were to busy to talk to me! I told them I was stranded in Wisconsin at a dodge dealer, but that didn t matter, the lady just laughed at me and said, there to busy to talk to you, I can put you on hold haha.

He definitely wasn t friendly. More of the typical sleazy car salesman type. Not the best attitude, Condescending, just trying to take you for as much as he could. He didn t explain all the warranty options fully or CLEARLY. And when we declined some of his offers his attitude got worse. Left a big damper on things.

I had a great expereince. First they gave me a great price; truthfully best price in town. Avi our salesperson was very personable and great to deal with, go Blue Avi. We were picking the car up when they noticed there was a problem with the car, that was out of their control. Now normally this would not have been a big deal, but it was a gift for our sons 16th birthday and the party was in 1 hour. Gabriel the manager and Darby were all over the problem. First they drove me to the birthday party then they found the car at another dealership picked it up and delivered it to the birthday party and even put a bow on it. I always say that it s not if everything goes perfect but when something goes wrong what do they do about it. They literally could not of done anymore.

Well organized, polite and willing to take their time to explain everything until I was satisfied. Rene was a great sales man. I was greeted by our salesman Rick Boerman, from the start to the end of being shown everything there is to learn about my new Cherokee Plus 4X4 I was very impressed to say the least about his professionalism. I also want to mention how he made my buying experience so comfortable throughout the entire process. If anyone wants to buy a new Jeep I highly recommend asking for Rick Boerman.
I was then introduced to Chris Weglarz the Customer Relations Manager who gave me a complete tour of Ziegler s Jeep dealership and introduce me to one of the Service Advisors Charles Ellington both we re very polite and telling me about the service department and their hours and loaners / shuttle service should I ever need it.
Lastly the finance department which brings me to Lawrence Mendez, he was excellent in making my final purchase experience extremely comfortable. And to Gabriel Jimenez the Sales Manager and My salesman Rick Boerman making sure from the time I step in to driving away in my Beautiful Jeep Cherokee I drove off with a great big smile on my face.

I have purchased my third vehicle from this location and this last experience was by far the best. Matt Pettis was a great salesperson and really made the whole experience fun. Though he was hit with an unexpected customer at our appointment time, he made sure we were comfortable and in the loop as to what was going on. For being so busy, our wait was probably the shortest I ve experienced. Probably because he kept checking in with us! Once we were on our test drive, his attention was 100% mine and he took the time to really find out about me and what I was looking for in a vehicle. No pressure. No typical sales guy approach. Just good people looking to help me make the skits informed decision.

Purchased my car from here and I am extremely frustrated every time I look at the bank statement because of my own stupidity of letting them rush me into signing everything so quick before I could read everything. The person helping me was Erin. They have no integrity and will change your pre-approval bank to "get a better quote" and cost of the car without telling you beforehand. They purposely rush you into signing so you can miss all of these details they were doing behind the scenes while you wait for hours to get you tired and hungry. Listed price for my car was $22,000, Erin came back out to discuss pricing with my down payment, and I asked him for assurance that the listing price will be $22,000 and my $8000 down payment for the car will be dropped down to $14000. With taxes, titles and fees it would be roughly $16000 in total. Erin even wrote it down on paper for me to see. After being there for 6-7 hours, tired and hungry they were rushing me to sign all my paperwork because they were closing soon, also so I can go home with my spanking brand new car that same day. Little did I know after everything was already signed off and I over looked my receipt when I got home from an hour and half drive, they changed my bank that I wanted to go with, with a higher APR, the car came up to $32,000 instead of the listed $22,000. I have over 800 credit score and my pre-apporval loan with my bank I knew I was walking in with 3% APR, but Erin said he was going to check with other banks to see if he can beat it, but he changed it without telling me and the "better" APR I now have is 5%! Somehow in Erins eyes, 5% APR is better than 3%!!! With my $8000 down payment, I now owe $24,000 when Erin said my final price tag would be $16,000 with taxes, fees, etc.. They slipped in $10,000 on the price tag right under my nose. In the end I admit I shouldn't have fell into the pressure of being rushed and should have just read everything before signing because they were closing soon, but this company has ZERO integrity. DO NOT trust anything they say, they are NOT looking out for your best interest!!!! I am convinced that they kept me there that long just before closing time to rush me, AND IT WORKED! Only positive thing I can take out of this is a well lesson learned for next time...
