Stayed here for 2 nights with the wife and it is a fantastic place to relax and getaway from the daily grind. Seafood buffet was pretty decent, breakfast is good and the layout of the resort is also amazing. The beach is just behind the resort but if thats not for you the pool area is also great to laze around. The room is quite spacious and comfortable, and overall whether you are a couple or have kids this place is highly recommended for a trip away from the daily grind.

First getaway for aggess and it rains :) Typical! Lovely grounds and easy access to the beach, staff very friendly, but I feel the place is getting dated as time goes on. Rooms smelt musty but this was quickly fixed with being able to open the windows (rare!) and see/smell/hear the storms come in. Room was "okay" but didn't match how much we paid. The walk from the reception to the room was a fair distance, did not concern us as we have no mobility issues but if this is an issue I would recommend requesting a room closer. Self parking was easy and free.
There was a conference on at the same time as we were there and I felt it took the edge off the experience of being in 5 star resort (My opinion is it was the type of people attending - sorry!) People at the buffet breakfast taking fruit, pastries and jams and putting into their handbags, left over prawn heads from the night before still on the floor, plates not being removed and piling up on people's tables with so much food wastage and the queue to go in was at least 20 deep! Tables not cleared quickly enough once guests have left the area and no service in regards to coffee & tea? Food was running out when it was 9am - I managed to get the last little pancakes. The location for beach access and Sea World is great. Or you just wanted to relax near the pool. Otherwise being closer to SP and BB is a much better bet with other hotels offering better deals for less.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Far enough away from the strip but still close enough if that's what you want. Really lovely breakfast and lunch buffet. Nice rooms but I think bathrooms need an update.

Average 5 star hotel.

Average 5 star hotel.

This hotel has a number of real positives. Great for a conference. Really nice lobby. Modern, clean rooms. Friendly staff. The location is also great - right near the beach and, if you re with your kids, right near SeaWorld.

However, it s brought down by what I would call 80s Australian hotel issues. Really really average food. Nothing modern or good about it. This applies to everything from breakfast (seriously way overpriced for what s on offer), lunch (tasteless, with the steak sandwich near the pool an exception) and dinner (again, tasteless and unimaginative). Pool service almost non existent.

If you are going to charge over the top prices (the $8.50room service delivery charge is a prime example of gouging) then at least deliver something really special. It doesn t.

And if you re looking for a spa, don t bother. Despite advertising to the contrary, it doesn t exist. Which you find out when you call for a booking after check in.

As it is, outside a conference, there is no way I would stay here. Go across the road to Versace, or go somewhere more boutique and special.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights and the experience was good. Rooms are a little outdated and could have included an expresso machine like some 5 star hotels. The bathrooms and aircon vents had mold growing on the outsides. Nothing major but worth noting. The bath towels felt outdated and had felt they had its fair share of use but was due for some fluffy towels instead to absorb those moist hands. The check in service was good. Streamlined and efficient. Visited the Terraces restaurant and the staff were mixed in terms of service. Firstly the place had run out of granola and muesli for breakfast. Two days in a row without any of these options so I settled for rice bubbles. The staff could do with some hospitality training and I could recommend some for them to attend because they really needed to serve customers better than expected at any 5 star hotel. All in all, our stay was good, but could be improved with those areas mentioned.

This hotel looks amazing when walking about. The rooms are all surrounded by shallow pools of water, with walkways through them. The hotel cleanliness standards were abysmal. For a 5 star resort we expected a lot more. Attached is a photo I took of the mattress. How can they expect us to enjoy our stay and relax lying on this disgusting bed. The sheets also seemed pretty gross, and my husband found yellow (what looked like urine) stains on the phone in the bathroom. There is nothing that feels that resort-y about this place even they're pool and pool bar was lacklustre.

The room we chose was garden view terrace expecting to have our own private garden etc. but it was actually shared and the big windows were not tinted, so people walking past our room all stared in. We had to sit in the dark the whole weekend with our curtains drawn shut.

I would not recommend this hotel it really is not worth the money.

This was a pretty nice hotel. Room was large, this one opened directly onto water and it was nice and quiet.
Pretty surroundings inside the resort property.
Kind of nice touch was the cold water taps located at various spots on each floor. Had choice of room temp, chilled and sparkling chilled water with reusable bottles available for purchase in your room.

Located not far from the main gold coast strip. Lots of food options in the area.

One complaint is the same with a whole bunch of hotels, almost no ventilation in the bathroom. Active ventilation would have been a huge improvement.

The resort is in great condition, and the grounds are really lovely. Direct access from the pool to the beach is a big plus. Staff can be slow, and very inflexible if you ever need to go off-script in any sort of way.

What a great experience. It was a surprise from my wife for my birthday.
From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff were fantastic. They couldn't help us enough.
The accommodation is a minute walk to the Ocean.
The food was to die for.
At dinner we were looked after by a lovely young man called Oscar. Very good at his job.
Two thumbs up.

As you would expect great service. Good food in the resaraunt with awsome waiters. Thought the seafood buffet was a bit expensive until I saw how much people ate. If anything they were undercharged for the amount they ate in the all you can eat buffet.
Seriously I like oysters but who eats 20+ in one sitting.

beautiful hotel with a beautiful stretch of water / pool! The hotel is also appreciated for its restaurant and buffet to be tested absolutely (count about 85 $). The pool is beautiful but noisy at busy time because there can be a lot of people ...

Services and benefits: Conciergerie, accessibility, room service, cleanliness and professionalism are on the appointment. Safe and fridge.

Room: It is possible to have room with private pool (1 bath area for 3 rooms). The rooms are large, clean, with dressing room and bathroom with spa. As often, special care is taken in the quality of the bedding for the best comfort. This type of room is particularly large.

Location: Located near the famous and well-known Mirage Marina Mall, and also the Palace Versace Gold Coast, the location is ideal for strolling and having a drink by the marina. The hotel also has direct access to the beach but the sea is often rough and the waves are huge!

Price: January 2018 / $ 170 per room with pool.

Staying here was everything I wanted and more. The grounds were absolutely stunning, I loved walking around all of the greenery. Being able to open the windows of the room and be looking straight into the trees was such a wonderful thing. The lagoons around the property were so pretty and the fires at night really added to the ambience.

Having the beach access with a patrolled beach is an amazing benefit! Best of both worlds with the pool and the beach. I feel like this is on the few pools in the area that gets sun in the afternoon, most are shaded by the buildings around.

The room was quiet and comfortable with great amenities. Huge bath!

Service could be a little slow around the pool, but given this was a mid week stay I can understand that and it's honestly the only "fault" I could find. But all food and drink I tried tasted good. Breakfast was definitely a highlight!

High tea broke my mum s heart. Yes, it was that disappointing. She was buzzing that I was taking her and aunt as a treat only to go red in the face from embarrassment from bringing my aunt there who just moved to the Gold Coast. The food was so poor. It was hospital food on a high tea stand. Clean and edible but refrigerator cold and faded. No life and care for flavours. Just stock standard quiche (faded and bland), some tuna wrap, cold meat rolled on a piece of bread, with a shrivelled coriander leaf on it. And a cracker with cheese. Jam was nice, cream was set in the dish because it wasn t freshly served, it had been glad wrapped in the fridge. I didn t touch the desserts. No delicate decadent, pasty chef standard that I would expect from this hotel, just oversized muffin type things. They didn t offer us tea or coffee! We were at high tea! The staff were friendly and polite. The young lady obviously read the booking and knew it was three ladies and a pram so she beautifully greeted me by name when I pushed my stroller in and seated us. The young man was lovely, he said sparkling wine was extra so we got three mimosas but sadly no one came and offered us tea or coffee. I went to the bar and ordered coffee for my mum and aunt, paid and left. 25% off with my Marriott club card, but overpriced and undervaluing the hotel s brand. Should have splurged at Versace across the road. Or even a smaller high tea business on the coast in surfers which provided artisan breads, chef standard sweet and savoury pastries, a rainbow selection of teas and coffees. High tea is not their jam.

Went for the restaurant. While we are in posh territory here don t let that deter you if you are in the game for an foodie experience. You definitely get what you pay for. Great service. An abundance of quality seafood. Great hot food selections. Loved the authentic Mongolian beef curry that you can tell was made by an assured hand in the kitchen. Best hotel made curry I have had. Try the pannacotta and the mornay oysters. Special setting surrounded by the turquoise water.

Couldn t be more disappointed with our stay here.

Couldn t be more disappointed with our stay here.

- when we checked in we were told our room was next to the lift but we could upgrade for $80 a night to avoid it
- instead, we were put in a conjoining room and on the last night ended up sharing with a toddler who didn t sleep most of the night - so neither did we. Reception said we should have requested a single room
- we kept getting charged for parking that we didn t use and were told that was the system
- we had erroneous mini bar charges on days our room wasn t even serviced
- the Pearl bar had terrible service and was absolutely freezing cold. Waitress said she gets complaints all the time.
- buffet staff were mostly lovely but, again, there wasn t enough staff and you d wait quite a while at the unmanned fruit/pastry area
- rooms were underwhelming with no decor bar a small painting above the bed and the bathroom never dried
- overall the place lacked any level of service, visuals, amenities that could be considered 5 star. In comparison, we had high tea with family across the street in the Versace and were treated so well, even for a simple scone and tea get together

We stayed 3 nights for our anniversary and I have to say, out of all my holiday experience, the Sheraton Grand is spectacular and stands out above the rest.

Our experience first started at home when we were notified that our room has been cleaned and ready earlier than expected through the Marriot Bonvoy app. Through the app Georgia had answered all our questions promptly and professionally which had made us feel relaxed as we travelled to the hotel.

Upon check-in, Jake greeted us warmly and professionally. He processed our room keys and conducted himself like a gentleman.

Later on, I approached Jake again at the front desk and asked if we could get more toiletries in our room (shampoo & conditioner) and if the room could be serviced while we were gone. Jake happily obliged and by the time we got back the room was spotless and the extra toiletries were there.

My partner and I had a great time relaxing by the pool and at the Oasis Pool Bar. Your supervisor there had exceptional service and even comp'd our 2nd round of cocktails - this was completely unexpected. I'm always happy to pay for great service.

While we were in the room relaxing, we received a phone call from Logan at the front desk advising us that my partner had left her sunglasses there and she could collect them at her convenience.

Lastly, I have to mention Rhonda for placing us in such a beautiful room with an even better view of the lagoon and the surf.

All the above-mentioned staff went above and beyond in their customer service. I believe this is the level of service that keeps your clients coming back. All staff at the hotel including the porters (Ron and Lama) and the housekeepers were nothing but professional and friendly.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Sheraton Grand and will highly recommend it to all my friends and family.

This hotel has beautiful grounds and a serene environment with beach access, however the staff here are incredibly shocking. Rude check in staff making you wait after 3pm, even though your room is ready. Rooms don t get cleaned unless you ring and ask. Shower temperature changes randomly from hot to cold, making showering a nightmare. Drink orders not entered at all, at the breakfast buffet, this by the manager. Every corner you turn horrible service and excuse after excuse. Three different staff told me that the hotel is way understaffed, this is very noticeable. I spoke to the manager Andy Lei whom was very courteous however the issues at this place are well above his head. Being a hospitality business owner I am well traveled and spend more than 3 months a year in hotels around the world, I would not step one foot on this property ever again even if you paid me.

Awesome room, great pool and amenities. Only negative was that the room did not have cornicing and exposed the silicone. That is a weird negative but does disservice to the hotel because otherwise it is extremely luxurious.
