Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa Gold Coast Review

This hotel is in a great location.
The beds are comfortable and the food is very good.

Shocking value for money. Done and dusted. Stayed at hotels for quarter of the cost with triple the floor space

We went to the Sheraton for the buffet (we are staying in another location). The food was amazing, well priced, and high quality

Fantastic location, great quality as expected, only slight gripes are (1) coffee in the foyer is very muddy tasting - we are all used to good coffee so $5 for a small of sludge isn t good (2) 15 minute queue to check in.

I recently shared my birthday lunch with family at Terrace 's Restaurant.Being a Sheraton card and now a Marriot card holder for many years we always find it a lovely way to spoil ourselves.We never tire of the beautiful views and lovely setting.Unfortunately things have become very inconsistent and the quality of the food has deteriorated.We were very dissappointed on Sunday with the selection of roast meats on offer and the other hot dishes available.The yorkshire puddings were as flat as a pancake and not what you would expect in any restaurant total flops.I had the Tom Yum soup which I love and regularly order at my local Thai.It was more like a cheap seafood consome very little flavour of a Tom Yum.No yum there.Such a shame that they have let their standards drop in such challenging times.Maybe too many app entices spoiled the broth. Bring back your good Chef's. Jane

Excellent place to stay. Rooms are clean service is top notch.

Rooms are small. They make the hallways look nice, but the rooms are just ok. Good spot by the beach if you like that. Everything's overpriced.

8.15 am, no towels and no staff by the pool. Not what you expect at the sheraton mirage on the Gold Coast

Beautiful resort with a very relaxed vibe and excellent service.

Parents are staying at this hotel and enjoying it. The staff really make this hotel. We attended the restaurant for Dinner, we are vegans. There was nothing on the menu we could eat. Chef Denis came to our table to ask us what we would like to eat. When informed of my daughters life threatening allergies he was not perturbed. He made us an amazing chickpea curry and personally oversaw the bread and desserts brought to our table. Awesome! For all of this personalized service for 4 people $120. Amazing.

Went for Lunch...Beautiful Food but the coffee tasted like dish water.

Food was as expected of the terraces buffet. Wait staff were friendly and accomodating as always.

Beautiful resort to spend a special occasion. Away from the hustle of surfers but close enough to get to. Beds are comfortable and rooms look modern but you can tell the resort is old under the covers. Everything you need is at the resort so you never have to leave.

Although it is a bit far from the centre of surfers paradise, this is a very luxurious venue with facilities to keep you busy without having to leave site. Rooma are quite spacious and staff are very welcoming and friendly.

LOVED STAYING HERE!

Check in was on time, room was immaculate - service was friendly.
Loved the bed and I can see why they also sell them! So comfortable and the best night sleep I have had away from home.
Do check out the buffet breakfast - it had everything you could think of for breakfast. Wish I had more time here - will come back for my own get away soon!

Not enough non alcoholic drinks and needs better food choices

Truly 5 stars. Service was warm and friendly without feeling staged. The buffet was excellent with food turned over frequently. The quality of seafood including oysters and sand crab was devine. My wife loved the squid salad. I loved the salt and pepper squid, and the choice of charcuterie. Tip if you are not already a member join Starwood before you go.

Great resort in a lovely setting.The staff were super efficient & friendly and the food was fantastic.Could not fault anything in our 3 day stay.Will definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel but the blinds in my room leave a gap when I close it so light shines through directly on my face in the morning. Not sure if this issue is just with my room or with all rooms

Very pretty and modern appearance. Buffet has tasty food with good variety, service was also very good.

Nice hotel. The staff is really knowledgeable and everything works great. I was on holiday and I'm a vegan, but the supply and service was fine. Breakfast is varied and rich. In particular, fresh vegetables, fruits and the Asian effect with the mashed soup made an impression. Fine fusion to eat with toast. Local beer is also good and available at the hotel.

The Oyster Bar at the hotel is perfect for seafood lovers.

We stayed two nights, food was delicious and the staff were all amazing. The rooms were very tidy and when we had a sick child (too much food/sun) the staff were understanding and quick to help. Our young family loved staying here and would love to visit again soon.

Best place in surfers. Highly recommend if you can get in. Clean, very friendly staff, newely renovated rooms. Worth getting spg card for discounts too. Marina mirage next door is really handy if you want to do some shopping.

At first it seemed lovely but quickly turned sour. Within 2 hours of my stay upon returning to my room from a walk. I met a staff member in the hallway asking me about the smell of cigarette smoke I agreed with him and also wondered where it had come from. An hour past and I received a note under my door informing me that I was to be charged $300 for the cleaning to eliminate the odour that it seemed I now was to blame. Considering the room had cost $360 for the night already this was quickly becoming an expensive lesson. Within another 2 hours the bath hot water became sporadic and the turned to a dark brown colour making any desire to bathe rather absent. Then finally in the morning was utterly insulted when approached by staff and asked if i was a resident of the resort as guests had complained that some non paying people had entered the grounds. At this point I was asked my room number and additionally my full name after providing all these details they continued on their way greeting all other guests without asking the same questions. So I am sure others may have had much better experiences myself having little time to reward myself with a gift like this.

The staff were ALL so happy, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

We went for the seafood buffet and it was delicious! There was a good selection of seafood and dessert. The ice cream was particularly tasty.

Beautiful foyer and hotel! Staff very friendly and accommodated our every request. Even though the rooms are older, they are very clean and comfortable. Kids loved the heated pool, and direct access to the beach. Will definitely be back!

We from Brisbane and would have never thought of vacationing locally if it wasn't for covid. However it was a pleasant surprise and a wonderful relaxing experience at Sheraton. We had a lagoon backing room which was lovely. No mineral water in plastic bottles provided. Instead they provide reusable black drink bottles and a self serve water cooler with hot, regular or sparkling water. This is fantastic and I appreciate the environmentally friendly initiative. The beach access is convenient. Breakfast at Terraces was adequate and good value. We also had the seafood ocean to plate dinner at Terraces which was the only thing that wasn t up to the mark. Our kids had made little cards that they had given to the bellboy who passed it on to the management. They were thrilled to receive a lovely call back thanking them for the cards. The personal touch is much appreciated and we will be back for short breaks in future.

My sister has been a member for many years..says its not as good as it use to be..just taking the oyster mornay for example....there is hardly any oyster just all cheese..prawns and crab are obviously frozen...all of the old staff are wonderful....just a shame the quality of the food isnt the same any more. Shame.

Something out of Miami Vice, oldy but a goody - a must see. Great for a conference of even a low key wedding. Has a wow factor - pool area is amazing.

Had a spa suite, very roomy, comfortable, staff are very accommodating, fantastic ocean front view and awesome buffet breakfast

Positioned in a great location close to the water . Beautiful resort with amazing access to the beach. Fantastic pool and sun lounges to get a great tan. Rooms are clean and some with great views. Definitely would stay again.

Very comfortable, secluded and relaxing. Rooms impressively clean and well maintained. Lots of free parking available for guests.

They can not make a good "SPECIAL" alcohol coffee, so weak, think they for got the grog, but still charge $17 each

Very nice reception staff, gr8 location, nice pools, beautiful beaches, excellent room, good breakfast. But I booked for room with ocean views all I got was view of splash pools. Nearby famous Petes fish and chips, mini-mart, hot bread .

Sheraton Grand Mirage, Gold Coast is a fantastic place. I enjoyed my stay

food is good and service is great even in a busy night.

Very nice hotel! And the location, and breakfast, and the pool! Three years ago we were in the Palazzo Versace, but Sheraton is super! Do not put these bubbles with water in the room, because at any time you can draw water with and without gas, and ice on the floor.

The Sheraton Hotel on the Gold Coast is a minimum of AUD $150 a night but a beautiful swimming pool with white sand beaches. The high-end large buffet is cheap for $80.

I recently had the chance to attend the Pearls Bar Cheese High Tea with a big group of friends. We had pre organised our booking so that they could cater to us, the food was delicious but the bar/ waiter service was really quite average. They seemed confused and it also was an hour before we were even offered a drink even though it was apparent that most of the group was there. We were just standing around without any real direction from Sheraton staff. Whilst I enjoyed the food in the high tea, the staff need to be better trained to meet 5 star service to which I am used to in Luxury hotels.

This should be the best Sheraton I have ever stayed in. Regardless of the facilities and location, the beach opposite is even more unique, especially for those who participate in the Gold Coast Marathon.

The buffet restaurant is nice but for the price a little underwhelming compared with others on the Gold Coast.

Great resort in a fantastic location right in the Southport Spit. The room was very spacious and the grounds are really well maintained. We found all of the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Easy walking access to Marina Mirage across the footbridge is great. Would definitely stay again.

Although I was only here for a conference, I found the Sheraton to be a magnificently appointed hotel, with beautiful views of the ocean.

I particularly enjoyed the pool, and it seems like the feature of the hotel. The swim up bar was very cool albeit very expensive.

Rooms are very nice and spacious, however the bath is in need of an update.

Overall, would stay here again.
