Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa Gold Coast Review

Very welcoming, very fancy, very clean, cant fault it

Pool is ok with pool bar, patrolled beach next door is great. Food and drinks prices very expensive in comparison to other 5 star facilities in the area.

Stayed in Sheraton Villa. It was a wonderfully relaxing experience. The buffet was another highlight - some of the best seafood I have had. Staff were friendly without being intrusive. Ideal for a recharge after a long working week.

Very nice hotel .. we were given the best table in the place .. oysters Kilpatrick were fantastic but took over 50 minutes to receive them ... the mains were below average ... snapper was tasteless and the pizza was like out of a box ... great service from Meica.

Thanks for taking a good rest. The facilities are not new but overall clean and staff friendly. But toothbrushes and razor combs are brought to you only by talking to the app or phone. Perhaps to reduce the use of disposables.

Good function rooms and proximity to the beach is sensational.

It is the best place to have a good sea food buffet .They have a variety of different types of sea food with the best taste and flavour. Nice staff and good customer service . It's a very nice and clean place.
They always have special especially if you have a membership.
I really recommend it to everyone to give it a try.

Had asked the concierge to book a taxi @1300hrs he declined and was very rude .

Beautiful. We had an excellent night. Was talked into buying an old fashioned by the bar staff then he didn't know how to finish it and had to get help.

Awesome stay, location and facilities are immaculate

The hostess in the breakfast restaurant with pink fake nails and disgustingly arrogant attitude should not be the first person you see in the morning. We were standing for 2 minutes and not even a hello came from her. She looked up and came over and she looked as if we were interrupting her with whatever she was doing.
Definitely not five star treatment and a disgrace. Not a good start of the day.

All hotel staff that I have asked for assistance were all friendly. The quick wins for me are the track to the beach as well as to the trails. Breakfast is great, minus the salad options were not available today? But it still a good one. I had one of the best omelettes this morning.

Hardly a 5 star resort.

Room got made up however didn t replace the soaps, shampoo or conditioners. Rang twice 30 minutes later still nothing. We had dinner reservations that we had to make. Ended up walking to reception to get them. Made it out like they were doing us a favor.

Don t think about going to the gym, it s across the road and you need to go to reception and have to be within certain hours. Outside of these hours nothing.

Pool, room and general maintenance are showing there age.

We tried to leave so we could stay somewhere else however they said that I had to contact my booking agent to change my reservation. I contacted them and they told me it was up to Sheraton.

Parking $20 a night extra.
Water extra.
Tried to sell room upgrade upon arrival.

Stay somewhere else you will be much happier.

Ideally located in the heart of the Gold Coast, though far enough from the craziness and the crowds, this is well worth staying in

Iconic Gold Coast hotel with the best location and ocean view

Probably a 3.5 TBH. Looking a little old in places. No attached gym and tennis court as it makes out. Pricey food and drinks but the staff were always super nice.
Pool doesnt seem heated. We swam in it twice and it was pretty cold. Not sure how it can call itself a "resort".
As a family of 4 (kids 12 and 16) we wouldn't return.

Our family stays here several times a year - Best hotel on the Gold Coast. Pool is amazing, staff are fabulous, rooms spacious and food and beverage selection splendid. We always look forward to our next stay. The close proximity to the beach is a great bonus.

We get half price deals so makes it really worth it because the food is exceptional. We had Luke serve us today and he was amazing!

The only beachfront resort on the Gold Coast. Timeless design very large rooms. Stay in ocean premium worth the extra few $$. Short walk to restaurants and sea world this is the best the coast has to offer.

Seafood buffet is 88/person, oyster is mini, prawn is very small, crab is sand crab, no bug. Very low quality seafood range compared to Versace.
Won t visit again.

I stopped in at the oyster bar for a catch up with a friend and found the service very friendly and the beer very cold a great spot

Stayed here for 8 nights, there was definitely some good, but this place definitely needs some maintenance and upkeep considering the premium paid to stay here. Some specifics: cracks in room and bathroom, unsealed windows allowing noise from main road to penetrate. Service was ok, didn't feel like anyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Breakfast buffet definitely low on choice compared to others.

Always great place to stay. Staff usually amazing and happy but didnt get that vibe from most of the staff this time round.

We stayed there for 8 nights and l must say it was very disappointing.
Our bed linen was not changed unless we asked for it ..out tv wasn't working properly and the buffet staff would always take our plates away before we would eat the food .
There were a lot of people at the and there wasnt enough pool beds you had to rush in the morning to reserve it.
Food was standard not 5 star at all as alike the service we all were disappointing and we will be contacting the general Manager fur to this.

The most beautiful hotel I've ever been to so far. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was so nice to come here after working on a hard job. I felt so relaxed. My room had a massive tub and the robes were so soft. We ordered food to our room and it was spot on! Everything tasted amazing and so many breakfast options. Thankyou for the quality of your hotel, the experience was amazing.

We had High Tea with sparkling wine. It was absolutely sensational. Being on holidays we were looking for experiences to take home. This was definitely a highlight of our stay on the Gold Coast. Service was excellent Coffee to die for.

Rude check in staff couldn t even look you in the eye when they are telling u the rooms not ready after 3pm in the afternoon. Didnt care at all. The car park is only 1.9m high so anyone with a SUV or 4wd be warned undercover parking. I was told go park on the street. No view of the water. Small pool. Conferences everywhere so hotel ppl are second rate. For $480 per night, and that s the cheap room WHAT A JOKE.
So many nice places on the Gold Coast that actually want you to stay there GO somewhere else.

Outstanding location! Excellent service from all staff. Luxurious rooms & what a picture-perfect view to greet you everyday. Fantastic food! Paradise! Why go overseas when we have this on our very own shores!

Went to a wedding at Doug Jennings park gold coast absolutely beautiful then back to Sheraton where the bride and groom where staying we went back there for the Buffett fantastic as usuall had not been there since my 50th so 6 months ago lol

This is my 3rd stay this year and it will be my preferred stay on upcoming trips. Amazingly clean, quiet, and close to everything.Staff are very professional and extremely accommodating which would be difficult with covid.

Everything one would expect from this beautiful hotel.

Currently staying in Sheraton Grand Mirage for 6 nights, half ocean view room. Room and view wise awesome but nothing to comments on the service so far

It has by far the best setting of any hotel on the Gold Coast.

View from our room was definitely 5 star, though. 1 restaurant open and more like a cafeteria was told 1hour wait for meal, so ended up back in room for uber eats. Sorry Sheraton could av been better.

A wonderful resort with such am amazing ambience. Love the water features in the hotel and it has direct access to a patrolled beach! Rooms are really nice but the food could be better.

One of the original luxury resort hotels on the Gold Coast waterfront and it still has its opulent grandeur and charm - just dropped in for a coffee and was greeted by friendly staff with a sense of humour - relaxed and enjoyed the wonderful views around the resort.

A top Gold Coast accommodation venue with excellent restaurants. Played a major role in the Comm Games.

Was here for a conference. Not fair to be in a conference room whilst awesome weather and a 2-min walk to the beach is right there!

Fantastic friendly yet effective staff.
Great lagoon view room -spacious, private and quiet, after we were moved due to noise - by a very efficient Sam, thanks we slept really well.
Comfy beds, pillows etc!

An anniversary breakaway, we were spoiled with a complimentary champagne treat- lovely touch.

Drinks and brekkie on the patio with water fountain lulling us into relaxation.

Direct beach access to a lifeguarded area, a warmed pool.... with hotel guest pool and towels access.
Room service breakfast faultless, along with quality teas and coffees.
Nearby quality restaurants, convenient to and GLink, also easy uber.
Will be back for a longer stay next time in warmer months too.

Why would anyone stay here??? Place is falling apart. I'd prefer to give it a half star but there isn't a half star rating.

So many great things to say about this property. One of the best resorts I ve ever had the pleasure of staying at.

Love this place fantastic outdoor pool, decent gym and lane pool next to it.

Poor service... still haven't get my deposit back after 2 weeks after my stay!!! Tried to call them but the number is disconnected, e-mailed them but no reply... Room decor is tired and carpet smells

Attended the Sheraton mirage for buffet dinner on a Thursday night, all of the staff were professional, there were oysters plain & kilpatrick, various roasts with tasty crunchy crackling and some awesome ice cream also. 8/10

The feeling of eating junk food.
Crab meat without flavor. Fruit without sweetness.
A price that is never cheap.

The Sheraton is without a doubt the best hotel on the Gold Coast! The property is STUNNING and the service is consistently excellent.

Best resort in the Gold Coast!! I have been here for many years now and it just gets better and better. The staff try to accomodate every request and are always very professional. Each staff member I walk passed, always greeted us with a smile. The entire resort is clean and looks spectacular. The rooms are well appointed and have everything you need. Great location away from some of the craziness of the Gold Coast. Nothing beats the Sheraton!

Had a buffet dinner at The Terraces. The seafood is fresh that includes oysters, crabs, and prawns. Had expected a larger variety of seafood though. Otherwise, the other cooked food such as beef are nice. Don't forget the desserts, they taste really good!

Saving up for the next trip! Great place to go solo and just chill and pamper yourself!

- Not even close to 5 star highly disappointed.
- No welcome drink on arrival.
- Waited standing in a queue for check-in.
- Took my own bag to my room.
- When I final got to the pool after the long check-in the pool bar was just closing. I was told to go up through the hotel to get drinks there at the bar. When I got there I was asked if I'd brought up plastic cups as they don't do glass at the pool. I said I was told nothing about this by the other staff. How is this 5 star.
- After I went to get my own drink and came back the staff had taken my robe off the chair that I bought down from my and room and also my towel. So annoying.
- I went back to my room and went to have a drink from the mini bar, the cup I went to use was dirty, not washed from the previous people staying there. Gross
- The spa in the hotel room was old looking and looked dirty. I didn't have a spa.
- The room service staff for food were really rude.
There was a light flicking on and off that needed to be repaired through-out our whole dinner. It was my mum's 69th birthday, she really didn't enjoy the flicking of the light the whole time.
- When we went for breakfast the next morning we weren't asked if we wanted coffee and then watched as the people beside us got asked if they'd like coffee. We then had to chase a staff member down to get a coffee and unfortunately got one that was huffing and puffing walking around through-out the breakfast service mumbling things out loud, quite crazy. I asked her if I could have another coffee, she replied. 'You'll have to pay if you want a second coffee'. I asked if she was serious and then she proceeded to call me lovey her words. 'Listen here lovey'. How rude. This was a buffet at supposably a 5 star restaurant.
- The Restaurant service was disgusting.
- We got charge $7 extra cost onto top of food or drinks cost for room service, any time we ordered, that's when they did finally pick up the phone to take our orders.
- We got charged $10 for a 2min drive up the road to seaward from the concierge. (We had to take the ride as we were running out of time to get to an experience we had booked in for.)
- The lagoon is a feature to look at not a pool to swim in. This was really disappointing to.
Conclusion: Shouldn't all the extra things and great service be included when you're paying $400-$500 per night to stay there. One of my worst hotel experiences.

Gorgeous hotel away from the craziness of Cavill Avenue but close to SeaWorld and Marina Mirage mall. Luxurious and amazing views/sunrises over the Pacific Ocean.

Rooms are good. The pool area is over crowded. Breakfast was not the standard of a 3 star hotel. Very limited choice, long queues and running out of everything on the buffet. Understaffed, undertrained and inefficient.

A couple of issues we faced were addressed promptly and professionally by Manager Jeremy - including the personal delivery of a gift left behind. Five our of five for his first class service level alone!
